-Consequences- (Canyon)

Pressing through the branches was a difficult task for the large bird, and slow going if he wanted to retain his balance while stepping around the small branches cutting across his path. With persistence though, Cedarwood would make it half way down the bough towards the nest before the smaller avians adjusted their own strategy.

The mother moved ahead on the upper branch and began to peck at the thin bark, causing it to ooze a thick, sticky sap. The sap was slow moving, but a few drops were all but guaranteed to splotch the eagle's feathers or feet if he pushed forward the last few feet to the nest.

"You underestimate our strength in numbers, hook-face!" The father, meanwhile, heckled back with gusto, but didn't make a new attack just yet. One wrong move, and he knew it would be over. Besides, his voice was loud and had carried far, as the distant cry of three other crows soon confirmed.

The older crow had evaded Cedar's late-timed snap, and landed in the spot on the branch he'd just vacated. "You're a Haunter, aren't you? The traitor of the Guardians?"
