Higher up in the Croal Mountains is another relic of humans long past. This massive stone and concrete fortification is built partially into the mountains, situated in a narrow, highly elevated valley. A large central room, lit by high, narrow windows, is accessible through numerous entrances before splitting off into a network of short channels and small chambers. An open forum of smooth, if rather fractured and weather-worn stone cobble lies outside of the temple, offering ample space for creatures to meet. Unlike the Ruins further below, the Temple of the Ancient Guardians is cold, with sparse vegetation and preceded by a somewhat treacherous climb for those unfamiliar with the path. This area belongs to the Shadow Haunters.
