From the time humans first discovered it, Elt's Gape became a popular place to congregate and relax, and has thus far tentatively remained uncontrolled by any one tribe or group. For this reason, all people are welcome to enjoy the pool's thermally heated waters, and to seek refuge under the cavernous overhang during storms.
