I couldn't believe I had made it to this island. I wasn't the largest of dragons traveling here nor the smallest. I was only 65' feet long. Course I stood about 25' high. So I was quiet imposing that way. The further I flew the hotter it got but well I didn't mind the heat infact I loved it. I let out a gruff sound just to warn others that I was here for there was no need to spook anyone.

Finally I began my decent into the desert and when I hit the ground I ran a few feet before coming to a halt. I Stretched my wings and body and then looked around me. A desert that was perfect for now at least. I sniffed around and spotted a rabbit and well that rabbit now called its home in mys tomach.

Like Kydrosa, Contrun enjoyed the heat immensely here. It fed his spirit and rallied his homesick heart with contentment and peace, and more importantly, it just felt right to the Red dragon. Rather than flying, the 47 foot Red was stalking idly across the desert, keeping himself company with his own thoughts. 'It smells a bit funny, but there's no place like a desert and hot sands beneath one's claws. Oh, what's this?' He turned his thick, bluntly formed muzzle earthward to nose over a bit of bone he spotted poking out from the sands. Curious as a hatchling, Contrun used one claw to delicately extract the bit of camel femur from the sand, 'It's old. I wonder...'

It wasn't the gruff noise from Kydrosa that stopped the young red in his thoughts, it was the glimmer of her form in the distance that his keen, fiery orange eyes spotted. "That's no mirage!" He couldn't help but whisper this to himself and plunge himself into the air with furious flaps of his leathery wings. And it didn't take the dragon long to sail close to where Kydrosa was, and to land a respectful distance from her. Very quickly, he could tell this was not a dragon he'd met before, but at least she was a fellow Red, and he wasn't going to pass the opportunity to say hello. "Excuse me, have you been here long?" Contrun shook his horned head a second later, "I'm sorry, I should have introduced myself first; I'm Contrun."

Kydrosa stood there after eating the rabbit. She was still hungry of course so she was already looking at ground level for more prey but she couldn't spot prey for miles on end, however; her eyes did spot the other red who took off and then landed a respectiable distance from her. Her yellow eyes watched him as he approached and spoke. Well that was a bit rude to start out with a question.

Her tail flicked back and forth as she chose to wait for him to speak his name. So when he did she spoke.Kydrosa and no I haven't been here long no just made it here about two hours agoShe spoke. She pawed the ground for a minute before looking up again.

The social faux pas was mostly missed on Contrun, who had a habit of getting ahead of himself with questions and words in general. "A few hours ago? I was going to ask if you've seen any other dragons around here, but I'm guessing you haven't?" He asked, watching as she pawed a bit at the ground. The scent of mammalian blood that hung in the air from Kydrosa's kill suddenly reached the Red and reminded him that his belly was quite empty. That's what he got for spending more time investigating the humans than he did scoping out the land for hunting. "Found much to eat around here so far?"

Kydrosa stood there with this male unsure of him yet she was unsure of everyone. Her tail flicked back and forth as she watched him. I have not spotted any other dragons but I have caught scent of others.She spoke calmly and then sighed.Nope just a rabbit but any prey animals are probably long gone by nowShe spoke.
