What is it the more you take, the more you leave behind? His deep yellow colored eyes scan the small village in front of him as he steps off of his transport. A sarcastic smile plays upon his lips, and he smugly answers his own question, "Footsteps, of course." Inside his mind, all he can think about is the wonderful profit he can and will make; all the raw materials and the people so unaccustomed to business. Well, none near as accustomed as he. An enormous grin stretches across his face, pointed teeth gleaming in the morning's sun. "Alright. Time to work my magic."
The village of Elticama was humming this morning about reports of a massive green dragon some ways down the beach. No one yet had gone to investigate, given the beast's head alone was estimated to be the size of a human, or maybe a small house, depending on who you talked to. Ceva himself would have gone to see if the big green beast was still there or not, but the chocolate-skinned man had too many things to do in the early hours of the day.
At the moment, he was sweeping back a few stray dreadlocks from his face and adjusting the bag of goods that was slung over his back, and striding down the length of the beach. It was then, as he rounded a bend in the shore, that he saw the vessel at the edge of the water, and the man that had stepped off of it. Ceva was not quite close enough to see the deception in Silas' smile, or the strange way his teeth were honed down to fine points. Being an amiable, easy going fellow, Ceva adjusted his stride and started towards Silas, bearing a smile of his own, and a wave of the hand to show good intentions to the strange. "Hello, friend." Rarely did he pass up an opportunity to meet someone new at his village.
Justin carried buckets of water. Sure they were heavy but they were not as heavy as one that had not been working for a while would think. They were actually quite light to him. He walked along the beach. He had on sewn shorts and no shirt as it was hot and he was sweaty. He spotted a man stepping off his raft thing while another walked up. He caught Hello, Friend From the man who had walked up. Justin didnt like the man that had stepped off the raft thing. He seemed, quite rich with something. He glared but shook it away. He walked up still holding the buckets of water. Nodding his head. Hello, friends. He said. He nodded to Ceva and then looked at the man.
Silas' head snapped around at the two people approaching him. His cold, calculating look turned instantly into a grin of sociability. "Why hello there" he spoke with that nasty hint of an accent he has tried so hard to shed. "I am quite new around here as you may have noticed, I could use some help if you would please" As per usual, his mind was working restlessly to find some way to make profit off of this land and these people. His grin widened, showing his pointed teeth, as he waited for the two in front of him to speak.
