Tayo was only about three months old, He was still small and not yet considered a Drake. He was getting there but he couldn't fly yet, He could get a little off the ground but nothing spectacular. His mother had flown here to do some hunting. She had left him here to do some practice hunting and she wasn't far off either. He nudged over a rock and found a cockroach which ran and he followed. He pounced on it and swallowed it.
He looked up into the air when he saw a shadow and saw a large hawk watching him and he immediatly ran for cover. He warily watched from his hiding spot and when it was gone he was back out hunting. He placed his little head on the ground and listened and then started digging.
Naida, a drake of the Blue Brood, has lost her mother in a tragic storm. A bolt of lightning hit the young mother, electrocuting her instantly and leaving Naida an orphan. She had never met her father in the meager 9 months she had been alive, but she did remain hopeful.
Ah, who was she kidding. She wasn't exactly the most lucky drake. She still hoped that her luck would change.
Upon seeing another juvenile dragon, probably younger than her, Naida waded up out of the water and cautiously but calmly trod toward him."Hello. Excuse me, mister. Are you from the Blue Brood?" Surely any adult would be able to tell that Tayo was from the Blue Brood, but Naida was just learning.
Tayo was following a mouse when the female came out of the water. He stared at the female who was larger then him but still atleast in her drake stage. She spoke to him and he just bobbed his head and backed up warily. Maybe he should call for his mother. He was very wary of this one or any other dragon as is. His little wings spread as if he was gonna take off but ehe couldn't even get two inches off the ground yet.
