When the lady brought Night back, she and another human carride the pup over to a long metal table. They laid the sickly wolf on his side and held him there for a moment while an X-ray was taken. They repeated this after flipping Night onto his stomach, and then to his opposite side. Again, the lady picked up Night and held him while she and the other human looked over the results of the X-rays. There was a dark patch over the bottom of one of his lungs; sure enough, it was pneumonia. Good news was that is was the kind they could treat with antibiotics.

The lady held Night as one man gave him two shots. Then the she-human carried Night back over to his special mist-pen and placed him in it. To get him warmer after the walk outside, she put a blanket in his pen that had been in a dryer to heat it up. Then she replaced some new food and water in his pen.

Night

He whimpered when the x-rays were taken and became nervous around the shots. Unlike Bandit he was nervous and not brave. He sneezes and lays in his pen. He barked as loud as he could but only once for he wanted his mother.

The left the ill pup in the pen for the night. A different lady returned in the morning and took Night from his cage. It had been decided to place Night back with the pack and see what happened. They wanted to know if the pack would act differently knowing that the pup was ill.

The lady carried Night to the Feeding Gate.
