Kate Wallock

A week had gone by, and searches around the Ashen Domes had turned up nothing promising. Kate had eventually turned in a DNA sample, but due to a second severe storm sweeping through the Valley, the results would be delayed by at least another two weeks and she wasn't willing to wait that long. The pup had been isolated long enough, and other than a few predictable parasites that Kate had then treated her for, the pup had been cleared to join the captive pack.

"Today's the big day, Shadow." Kate announced with a smile as she approached the pen where Raven had been kept. The elbow-length glove was on one hand when she reached in to grab the pup, using years of practice to gently scruff the youngster while avoiding and snapping teeth that might be sent her way. Tucking her other arm beneath Raven's rump, she carried the pup to the Wolf's Run.
