*Humans*
The red pick up truck drove towards the vet building stopping right out front. Without hast the two men lifted the wolf out of the back, and gently carried the creature in. He was brougth upstairs into an examination room where he was set on the table. Then the two men backed off, letting in a woman with a white coat work on the canine.
Her first action was to inject him with a reverseing drug, to wake the wolf up. While he would be startign to wake up, she inserted a tracking chip under the skin, rugging it abit before checking things such as teeth and coat condition. However she had a keen eye, and she was sure to watch for any sign of an attack. Once she was possitive she was finished, she lifted the large creature into a nearby cage, setting a bowl of water and a bowl with a hard wolf food mixture, and some chunks of beef. The vet then locked the cage and backed away from it, her eye forever watching.
Lokk
Lokk winced once, feeling a very dull sensation of pain when the chip was inserted, but the reverse drug hadn't had the time yet to bring him around much. Now and then he would flinch or flex a muscle, slowly feeling consciousness seep back into his being.
Slowly he struggled, his senses reeling at first as the reverse drug finally did its work. By the time his groggy eyes began to take in these strange new surroundings, Lokk was already locked in the cage. Quite confused to say the least, the wolf tried to stand, but tottered and fell against the side of the cage. He remained poised there for a moment or so while his coordination came back more.
At first, his wary emerald eyes gazed about his confinements, and then to the room which he was placed. And finally, to the the human that was looking at him. Instantly, Lokk became unsettled and his ears planed out to the sides just a bit. But he was smart enough to know that he wasn't in any position to threaten a free creature while he himself was trapped and helpless. What do you mean by this? Where am I Lokk questioned mental, knowing that a human would never understand his words anyway. Standing still, the wolf sniffed lightly at the water and food, but didn't indulge in that yet. His mind was trained on this strange two-legger.
*Human & Dog*
Seeing that the wolf had come to, she watched only a moment longer. His weary eyes proved he was awake enough to be left alone. She pulled herself up, walking towards the examining table, she wiped it off quickly before speaking soflty to herself. "30 days of quarintine for this fellow. Then he can be placed into the enclosure..." Finished she walked out of the room, leaving the door open just enough for a small dog to enter the room.
A small shetland sheepdog padded into the room, his nares twitching at the scent of a wolf. "So your what the fuss is about?" His voice was questioning, and though he was about 3 years old, he was a bit small for even his breed.
Lokk
Lokk cocked his ears at the human's voice, "And what did you just say to me?" He wondered outloud, feeling a bit flustered that his kind couldn't understand them. A suddenly feeling of anxiety swept over him, and he began to test his little enclosure for weakness. A few bites at the metallic bars told him that simple brute force wasn't going to do anything to the cage. Angered now, Lokk began to look around for a way out when a new figure made its way into the room.
Instantly, Lokk paused in his fuetile efforts to escape, and stared at the dog with calculating but non-threatening eyes. "I suppose so. If I may ask... what is this place? I don't much like closed quarters like this..." He admitted, almost under his breath, as his eyes roved the cage once more. He was oddly tolerant of others, and didn't offer the sheepdog the usual snarl or growl that other wolves might.
*dog*
The dog stared oddly at his efforts, knwoing well they would do nothing. He also completly ignored the first comment. Only once the second came did he reply. "This is the wolf center. The humans seem to be making quite a fuss over their first addition." His tone was only because he had never known a wolf before, and due to the way most humans thought of them, he had a bit of a hard time thinking of them as a fellow canine.
Lokk
He picked up quickly on the dog's less than friendly attitude, but didn't adjust his own quite yet. "First addition..." Lokk repeated, staring hard at the canine, "...me?" He had no idea what this 'Wolf Center' place was about, and so the concept of him being some sort of 'addition' didn't make much sense. Yet knowing that humans always did strange things, Lokk could only assume that he must be of some interest to the humans. "So, why am I here?" He was going to try and get as many answers out of this dog as he could.
Mayling
After having rested agian she awoke and stretched and yawned. She paced in her cage. She was scared and didnt have any clue where she was.She spotted the male wolf across from her and howled. Her tail was held above her body as she stood on all fours.
Lokk
He turned to the other fae in surprise. He had watched as the woman did those simple tests on May, and stuck that thing in her scruff. Now, as he thought about it, he felt a very faint twinge in the back of his neck as well, and figured he knew where that came from now. "I don't think howling will get you anywhere here." The wolf pointed out, now sitting back on his haunches, but giving the fae a level look. He wished he were younger again, or at least in his prime. But as it was, Lokk wasn't an 'old' wolf yet, he was just well aged at this point, being nearly 9 now. For a wild wolf, that was a pretty good age.
May
Fetal was only oh say 5 she had some pups running about with hre mate.Though now she feared she never see them again. She sat down on hre haunchs and watched him."I know that but what do they want with us?" She asked.
*dog*
"The humans wish to know why you kill them and their livestock. It's simple." The dog then turned, padded out, tail held high in teh air. He loved humans, so disliked any who were known to kill them.
