Cavan

Worried now, Cavan stopped beside the gate and knawed on it. In a few seconds, it was clear his teeth couldn't defy these blasted metal hoops that kept him from freedom. Afraid to howl in another's territory, and knowing no one that would respond to his howl anyway, Cavan stayed quite. "Darn, I should have been nicer to those wolves! They'll know a way out of here." He was a bit embarrassed and afraid to confront them again, so he sat and pondered thoughts in his head.

Star

The she pup came running in after him after a few minutes and panting. Once she gained her composure she looked to him. "There is no way out Cavan. Once the humans bring you here there is usally no way out. Sorry. Only if the humans let you out your free. My brother Bandit got out after the humans took away his sent for three months but he got it back sooner by a nice lady that he told me about." She says. "This is your hime now I suppose." Se said breifly.

Cavan

He turned his head to the side, watching her. His good ear was tilted in her direction while his other was laid to the side. After a moment, he spoke, "There is no way out of here?" the question was more like a statement to himself. Cavan frowned slightly, "If I realy must stay here, I suppose I should apologize for running away from everyone like that. It's just..." he paused, not sure whether he wanted to tell her what he had in his head. Finally, he decided to tell, "I'm just not use to being around a pack. I lived with kodiac bears for most of my life, and my sister is the only one of my kind who I trusted."

Star

"You lived with bears! They usually attack wolves at least thats what Ive heared." She says astounded and amazed. "Whats your sisters name?" She asked curiously.

Cavan

"Actually, they did attack my original pack." he replied a bit sheepishly, "But it's a long story. My sister's name is Nachi, but I haven't seen her for a long time. I also have two brothers, Jais and Railu. But I despise them."

Star

"Oh... If I may ask why do you despise your siblings? I love mine." She asks curiously as a pup would.

Cavan

"Well, that's part of the story. See, this she-bear named Athara came and attacked my original pack. She took me and Nachi, but my pack stopped her from taking Railu and Jais. Us pups were all too young to remember any of that. By the time I was old enough and Athara told me how we came to live with her, I already saw her as my mother, even though I knew she wasn't." He frowned again, remembering all of that. "Athara had two cubs of her own, Nyx and Drakar. I saw them as my siblings even though they were much larger than me and Nachi." The wolf shook his head, relizing he was trailing away from what he wanted to get at, "My original pack eventually found me and Nachi, and they fought to get us back. But I wanted to stay with Athara. There was a big argument that got worse when Drakar and I threatened Railu, and got Jais realy mad. Both sides argued and argued until a huge storm came by and made us all run for cover... it killed my uncle, Sedge Fur and aunt Shadow. It hurt my true mother, Storm Alarm, and my sister Nyx. After that, my original pack just gave in and left." Cavan finished his story and looked to Star, "I'm just not use to living with a wolf pack." he said sheepishly, and looked to the ground.

Star

she smiled faitntly. "Oh..." She wasnt sure what to say. "Its esy to live in a wolf pack. In the wild we hunt in a pack and here the humans dont let us for some strange reason and they feed us fresh meat. Um a wolf pack looks out for each other as family and there are positions like alpha which Perigrin is, beta, Subordinant which my mom is I guess, Pups Like me Night and... Bandit... and Omega which is usually an outcast. My mom told me this once." She said. "I guess youd be a subordinant or just a pack member." She said. "Hey wanna go back to the others?"

Cavan

He nodded, listening to what Star had told him. He never had a 'rank' while he lived with Athara and her cubs, but he figured he had better get used to it if there was no way for him to get out of this place. "Alright, let's go back to them. I hope they aren't mad with me." Cavan was still nervous, but he was ready to go; but he would follow Star.

Star

She smiled and lead the way. "Ok follow me." She says going back to the feeding gate.

Cavan

The wolf nodded and followed after Star.
