*humans*

*one human walks out. throwing down peices of meat he does a pretty good wolfish howl saying food. or maybe he thought.*

Kira and pups

Kira eats her fill but stays wary of the human. Star and Night happily eat.

Bandit smirks. "Thats not how youre supposed to howl." He says even though he knew the human couldent understand him. He howls.

humans

*chuckles to himself at bandit for howling back. then pulling out sometype of cube he starts to twist it as he sat on the ground. after awhile he stood up and walked away.*

Bandit

He glanced at the cube as the human twisted it. he looked to Peregrin and his mother. "Momma and Perigrin what was that?" He asks curiously.

Kira shrugs.

Peregrine

He ate the food happily, while keeping his eyes on the human in curiousity.

The alpha also watched the cube as it was twisted about by the humans. But more interesting to Peregrine was the way the humans used his hands. "I don't know what that is... humans seem to have things that do nothing for them." Peregrine watches the human leave, then howls breifly. He always found it amusing how humans tried to howl back.

Kira and Pups

Kira nodded. She looked to Perigrin. "Im just curious. Whats inside the large building I see humans go in? Do terrible things go in there?" She asked Perigrin. She knew hed been here for a while and might have been taken inside once.

Bandit saw snow falling from te sky. "Wow!" He beamed.

Star sniffed the air and licked some as it fell. "Its cold."

Night snaped at the snow. "I think its called snow and I am guessing it comes quite often when its cold." He guessed.

Peregrine

Peregrine turned his eyes to the building with a slightly sullen look, "That is where they take us everyone once in a while, where they stab us with these odd thorns." He replide, speaking of needles, "And that's where they bring most wolves who they capture from the wild, before putting them here." With a sigh, he added "It's not a good place."

The then looked to the light grey sky, and the small crystals of snow falling down. "Ah, winter is almost here! Snow is fun to play in." Peregrine stated as he turned to the pups.

Kira and Pups

Kira cringed. "Oh I was never taken there befor. It sound terrible." She said but quickly changed the subject as not to scare the pups. "Ahh yes when theres enough snow its fun to roll around in." She said in aggrement with Perigrin adding some more to the statement.

Bandit yipped and ran around catching snowflakes. "Hmm they will never get me with a thorn!" He yips confedantly. He then looks to the fence and runs over and sticks his muzzle through it though. "I wonder if I will ever get to see what freedoms like." He says to himself quietly but then again loudly.

Star yips and frolics aroun laughing. "Im sure they wont hurt us with thorns." She says. She licked the snow from the air playfully.

Night just shook the whole thorn shot. He smiled and ran circles around his om and Perigrin while catching snowflakes. He saw the lake and it had a light coating of ice. He jumped on it thinking he could stand but he fell through and cried out for help.

Kira noticed very quickly. "Oh no!" She barked panicked as she sprinted for the lake. She knew it was colder then normal and could get someone very sick.

Kira

She leaped in the lak and shivered and began to swim for him. She reached her son and grabbed him by the scruff. The water was almost to cold to swim in but she skidded him onto the ice and tried to look for her escape as she swam to get to shore. She could swim well just not in freezing cold water where her limbs felt numb. She finnaly reached shore and tried despratly to pull herself up.

Peregrine

Peregrine dashed toward the lake in a frenzy. After Kira got Night out of the water and onto the ice, the alpha quickly but carefully ventured to the thicker ice around the shore and carride the pup to the solid ground.

Then he krept forward and took Kira by her scruff as tightly as he could without hurting her. Then he struggled aginst the slick ice of the shore to try and pull her out of the water.

Kira and Pups

Kira nuzzled Perigrin as a thanks since she was almost to cold to talk.

Night shivered alot and you could see.

Kira shook off all the water she could even though she shivered also and layed next tp night to try and keep him warm.

Star shreiked out terrifyed and worryed.

Bandit quickly rushed over. "Thanks Perigrin for helping momma and Night.

Peregrine

Peregrine nodded lightly in response to Kira and Bandit as he worride about, and lied down beside her and Night to share his body heat with them. After he had lost his own son two years ago, he didn't want to see Night die, nor did he want to lose Kira. A thought suddenly crossed the alpha's mind; one time he had been injured in the enclosure, and the humans had taken him to the Vet Building. He thought for sure the humans would come out to take Kira and Night to the building. Peregrine didn't want that to happen, and made up his mind to protect the two from the humans if they should come.

Kira and pups

Bandit and Star layed next to each other worridly.

Kira shivered but she wasnt as cold as night for pups lost their body heat faster then adults. Kira made sure Night was between her and Perigrin.

Night shiver but his mom an Perigrins body heat helped him.

*Humans*

It didn't take long before two humans entered the pen. They had seen from a hidden camera what had happened. In any case, they would have been out within the next week to take the pups in for an exam.

The two humans, a male and female, came into the enclosure and slowly approached the wolves. The lady tossed a frozen peice of meat a few feet from them, trying to lure one of the pups or adults away.

Kira, pups

Kira was to cold to go for the meat and continued to shiver vigorously. So did Night. Kira was worried that Night would catch amona for it was to cold and falling into the pond made it severly worst.

Bandit smells the meat and snatches it and then runs behind his mother. He was worrried but nhungrey to.

Star watches a distance away from everyone worried.

Peregrine

Peregrine drew his eyes to the sides of his head and rumbled; stating to the humans to keep away. He learned that attacking them was bad, but he also knew where they might take the pups and Kira. Of course, he didn't relize that the humans only wanted to help.

*Humans*

The woman walks slowly forward, extending her hand to Peregrine. The man walks to the side of the lady, and reaches out to carefully pick up Night, so long as the adults don't object to that.

Peregrine

Peregrine drew his eyes to the sides of his head and rumbled; stating to the humans to keep away. He learned that attacking them was bad, but he also knew where they might take the pups and Kira. Of course, he didn't relize that the humans only wanted to help

Kira, Pups

Kira was to cold to snarl but she nudged Night back.

Night began to sneeze.

Star watched from a distance from everyone.

Bandit wasnt sure what was going on so he lyed down by himself and whimpered.

*Humans*

One human takes out a small, black-hued box from his pocket and talks into. A human, from somewhere out of sight, replies from the box. A walky-talky. Soon, three more humans arrive, with dart guns. Very quickly, they dart Kira and Peregrine before either wolves could get away. One of the five humans sneaks over and quickly picks up Star. The rest wait for the adults to fall asleep before trying to gather the rest of the pups.

Kira and pups

Kira yelped as the thron hit her and she plopped to the ground fast going into a deep slumber.

Night was to cold to move.

Star was easily picked up but she didnt struggle much for she was worried about Night and her mother.

Bandit instantly realized what was happening so her ran in front of Perigrin his mother and Night and snarled. He also didnt know the humans wanted to help. He thought that they were trying to hurt the others.

Peregrine

Peregrine lept up with a snarl when the dart hit him. His eyes glared accusinly at the humans, and a deep growl came from his throat. The alpha took a few threatening steps towards the humans, eyeing them and their guns. But the dart was consentrated and quick acting. The wolf fought aginst the drowsiness, but soon slumped to the ground and all went black to him.

Kira, Pups

Kira was fast asleep.

Night continued to sneeze as he huddled as close to his mother as he could get.

Star watched as she was held there was nothing she could do.

Bandit snarls but he knew he couldent do anything but he was hopeing to high for he hoped hed scare the humans off.

*Humans*

The humans advanced on the two slumbering wolves and the pups. One man plucked up Night. Another woman walked over to the snarling Bandit and tried to pick up the pup without getting bitten.

The man handed Night over to the lady with Star, and she went to the vet building. The man and the other humans walked over to Kira and they both picked her up and also carride her to the Vet. The other man checked on Peregrine, then walked over to Bandit as well, to help the woman capture him.

Kira and Pups

Night goes without fighting in the least bit.

Star also goes easily.

Bandit watches his mother get carryed away and knew if the humans picked him up theyd follow the others. At first he stuggled but then let the humans carry him away to the vet building.
