Risen
The lead femme came strutting in quietly with her head not even looking back to her pack. She had never been to the Wolf center, nor any other human area but the alleys and down town parts. This area was new to her and she glared at it hatefully. "So we meet again you two legged menace." She growled to herself then moved closer and around. Staying out of the spotlit areas.
Turning quietly she growled to the others. "Any ideas on where they keep the creatures?" She whispered trying not to gain humanoid attention.
Sacrifice came up from behind her sister and moved a little past to look for an are or smell for the wolves. "I smell them this way but I don't know for sure." She said looking in the direction of the enclosure. Wither came up and began sniffing the vet house. "But I smell some in there as well." She growled, then looked to the alpha. Who should they go after first?
Risen turned. "Who knows where they keep the animals? Anyone familiar with this area?"
Cavan
The closer they drew to the area, the more irritable and edgy the male grew. This hell-hole had taken a year of his life away, and was bound determined not to let it happen again. If anything though, it had given him a great insight on how the humans and their structured worked.
An aggitated growl followed through with his words as he moved up near Risen, deciding at last to speak, "I lived here for a year." Memories of Dark Star and Peregrine came to him, as well as how they had managed to escape their dreadful confinement. "Both of these structures can hold animals, although usually not for long." Cavan commented, listing his scarred head to the side as he gazed with disdain upon the red building, "W- the animals are kept in a larger enclosure in back. Surrounded by fencing that is too high to jump over, and burried too far to dig under. Too tough and springy to break." The audible growl grew in intensity as he recalled all of his failed attempts to escape the Wolf Center.
"As far as strength goes, we can't force our way in. We'll have to outwit the humans somehow, and catch them off guard when they have the main gate open. At least, that's how I got out of this place." The wolf turned his single eye back to Risen, not sure how she might react to this information. It was not something he readily told others, but in this situation, it could only help.
Panther & Destroying Angel
The two pups had transitioned quite nicely into the pack, and had no objections over following their leader into this mission. Although young, the two had devolped enough sense about the others to know to keep their mouths shut at times like this, especially when neither of them held any vital information that would help break into the enclosure.
Incalia & Litharaz
Litharaz arrived along with Panther and Destroying Angel. The canine stood a little way away from the alphess, searching for anything that could hint another way in than Cavan's idea. Whilst he didn't doubt his supirior, he didn't want to have to wait around in this two-legger area.
Incalia arrived a few minutes later, leading the warriors that we're soon to join the main ranks of the Haunters. Also silent, she stopped near the main group, turning back to face the pups. Now, We'll wait until we have a plan. Once we do, we shall follow Risen's orders. It seems this will be a simple escort mission, as there is currently no way to break in. However if we do need to attack the humans, I'll advise you nearer the time. My word of advice is to act on what your common sense tells you. You'll all have some knowledge of fighting and hunting.
Risen
She smiled, but this smile was different. It was the strange sadistic smile of frustration. "Wonderful." She grunted then turned to Cavan face on. "Would a Rhino be able to puncture the fence?" She refered to the two Rhino's that had not been introduced to the rest of the pack yet. Wondering if it were posisble to by pass human structure with strength. "If not you will lead us to this gate and we will have to set up some sort of trap. Sacrifice. She growled and the two faced fem stepped up. "Yes?" The half sister looked down with her blue eyes then back up as she recieved the orders.
"If we cannot break through steel, you will have to fake eminse pain. Roll in dirt, and limp if you have to. I am warning, you may be shot at. If we see guns we will send back up." She nodded to the group and then the birds that flew in the sky. The birds could be a distraction. Another plan forming in her mind. Would humans find the site of a bird of prey being chased by berry eaters an odd sight?
----------
Iota stepped up near Incalia and huddled closer to her. She did not spot her mom in the group. Her second instinct was to look for her friend Toxin. She looked so hopeful with a slightly wagging tail.
Iota was a medium well size, still with room to grow, but not to small to fight. She was ready to test her strength, but didn't know how it would all go down.
------------
Razor was just now filing in. Turning to see if the others had followed as they were ordered. The recruites did not have time to train much, just a simple chase lesson but he hoped it was enough to make their brains behave as a Haunter's should. "Stay near, children, we are on two legged territory. They will fight just as tough as we will, and cheat." Razor smiled for he knew they were no different from then. Besides the human opposible thumbs, the wolves were getting smarter and smarter.
-------
Wither, Silver Trace, and Shattered soon arrived. Silver was now well adjusted with her injury, limping slightly on her leg but she would still be fast enough to run when needed.
Shattered was still getting use to her eye and walked slowly around things she could normally weave about. Her depth perception was completely lost. Leaving her confused on how close something or someone was. She stayed closest to Silver Trace for she knew her half sister would not turn to offer bite if she were to run into her.
--------
Tyrant, Vicious, and The assassins had yet to show up. If they were to show up at all.
---------
And the last to tag along was Ghoul. Slipping in an out of his dangerous day dreams, the hybrid pup wanted to near his mother, but thought better and moved toward Razor. Keeping his eyes on his alphess as the plan was assessed.
Cavan & Others
After contemplating the thought, the grizzle wolf fell back to caution, "If the fences were solid, I would think the rhinos could break it. But, it's more like a spider's web... it absorbs impacts pretty well." Cavan replied, recounting the time Snowden plowed into the fence full-force, and was flung back just as forcefully without any damage to the fence what-so-ever. "I believe they'd be useful still, as powerfull as they are." The male let off in his sentence, struggling to come up with some use for the massive creatures.
Lion and Tersek had made their way along with the group, staying back in hiding while Risen devised a plan. Tersek was all for rushing around and slaughtering the humans, but Lion knew better than that. With humans, you needed brains just as much as you needed brawns.
Behind them were the felines; all except Chahaya that is, who had two new kittens at the Temple. Little ligers that would grow to be the largest felines in the Valley, along with any other ligers that might be born. Their half-sibling, Velvet, was the one to step up and offer advice. As in the past, she fell upon information picked up by her parents as she tried to solve their problem.
"Risen, your majesty." The young lioness piped up, dipping her little head and speaking in words that seemed further on than her age, "It may be benefitial to observe the humans and look for their most vulnerable points. See when and why they open the gate that Cavan spoke of. Momma says they are fascinated with the unusual- maybe we can distract them further by letting them see the rhinos and other animals that don't normally live around here."
The four brothers kept close to Ghoul, eagerly soaking up the strange new sights before them. "This sort of looks like the Temple." Leopeson pointed out, admiring the odd structure that was the Brick Building.
Incalia, Litharaz, Onslaught, Krypt
Coming up beside his brother, Onslaught glanced to the building Leopeson pointed out. "Woah, Do you think humans built our temple?!" He had the same instinct as Ghoul, to go and see his mother, but as Risen had said, It would better their training to stay away for a while.
Krypt, whilst still on three legs, came up alongside Razor. He didn't say anything, just waited.
Incalia looked down as Iota huddled closer to her. With a smile, the hybrid gently brushed the top of her head with her muzzle in reassurance. "You'll be fine, I promise." As a mother, the dog couldn't help but feel some need to comfort the pup, even if it was slightly against Risen's rules. Lifting her head back up, the rottweiler and german shepherd cross waited patiently for something to happen.
Risen
The alphess smiled at the thought that flitted across her mind. Oh sweet Cerberus. Hah. Risen quickly spoke to Ino who flew away and returned a few hours later with both Rasheetah and Alderon. An interesting couple for to make the humans feel crazy, hopefully. "I hope they like odd sights, this one will indeed be strange." With that she motioned everyone to hide deeper in the brush and then let out a howl for the humans to hear. Moving herself into the brush as well.
It was then the strange duo went to work. A cheetah and a Rhino, although neither were comfortable for what they were told to do. But their loyalty prevailed and they had to get along. It was the way of the Haunters, they guessed.
Alderon, the black rhinoceros, let himself down and the cheetah nimbly jumped onto his back. Shifting her weight to stay up as the bull got back to his feet. With that she stood tall and proud atop his back as he moved ever closer to the gates. Rasheetah started to chirp loudly, trying to gain attention. Alderon winced every time the big cat shifted for her claws continued to scrape his back. Although she did not mean to harm the armor, she had never sat upon a moving rock.
Risen only hoped it would work.
Iota stayed low and moved under some bushes. Eyes wide at the sight of the cat and rhino. Though it was more humorous than strange to her. Ghoul sat patiently, concealed by the leaves in the late afternoon. The rest were further back, concealing their larger bodies.
Incalia, Litharaz, Krypt, Onslaught
At Risen's command, each began to conceal themselves.
Onslaught slipped in beside his brother, eyes on the cat and rhino.
Incalia came up to crouch behind her sons, though generally not allowed to be with them, incase she hindered their training, the hybrid couldn't help but nuzzle both children gently before lying in wait to spring the trap.
Krypt and Litharaz darted towards the thicker brush with the other adults in wait.
Kate & Ian
It took a few minutes, but eventually, the noise of the cheetah was heard. The door of the building swung open, and a young man stepped out. For the first second, his featured showed mild curiousity as to what the noise was; but the moment his eyes laid upon the bizzare scene, he froze. Blue eyes widened as his jaw dropped a bit in awe. Rhinos and cheetahs did not live here, and even if they did... this wasn't how they were suppose to interact. Ian had worked years studying wolf behavior, and knew a good deal about the lives of other animals.
As the dark-haired man stood stunned in the door way, a voice called out from within the building. For a few hours a day, Kate devoted her time to the Wolf Center, trying to better understand the canines. When Ian failed to answer, she came up behind him and poked her head around her shoulder to get a glimpse at what had him so stunned. Oh my God... Her she breathed out in an unaudible whisper.
As Ian came to his senses, he grabbed a walkie-talkie from his belt and spoke in a frantic, excited voice, calling the other Wolf Center workers out to see this. They would need to capture these creatures for one, but it would take more than just him and Kate to do it.
Rasheetah .+. Alderon
The Cheetah's head perked up as the two came out from the building. Her lips swam into a smirk as the humans froze with the sight. She didn't like where she was, but didn't mind it now that she saw something moving. They were the distractions, that is all they were to this mission. They placed their lives in the hands of the rest of the pack.
Alderon grunted, unable to see what was going on. "Tell me cheetah, what are they doing?" The cheetah growled "They are bring in back up." Alderon shifted uneasily at the update but said nothing more.
