Ceaora
The wolfess hybrid came to a trot, then a slow halt before the massive temple. She felt a bit of submission flow through her, and took a hesitant step backward. Her long, white legs paced back and forth as she could not make the brave decision to keep going forth just yet.
This was what she wanted, after all. Prime in her youth, she was seeking the ultimate challange. She lived and breathed for new thrills, and had searched far and wide for such. Now here she stood at the foot of not only a powerful pack, but one that was going to go places. A grin suddenly spread across her tan splashed face. Yes...yes she could go on with this.
Her muddy paws pranced lightly along the stone floor as the three-foot wolfess confidently passed from the marshy ground and into the temple halls. Her slighlty floppy ears remained stiff and alert as she sought out the pack leader, Risen.
Fleet .+. Dab
As the new white wolf came in, a rather dark wolf lept up from his rest and confronted her. His black form was accented by white ears, white feet, and a white tail tip. His long muzzle ended at a pair of two staring green eyes. "Who goes there?" He couldn't help but quickly glance at her, he had a small thing for light colored females.
Another came trotting up, almost the exact opposite, his body was white with gray feet that streaked up his legs. His eyes were ice blue and a little more softer looking than the other. "What's wrong Dab?" the males stood the same height, same weight: Obvious brothers. "Fleet, go get Risen, I doubt the guards would let her in without her wanting to consult the leader."
The 120 pound wolf moved off to a group of mixed animals in the distance, lowering his head greatly to the smallest wolf amongst them. Risen's ears perked up and her cold yellow eyes looked to the direction of the female. Her jaws parted to the group, pardoning herself for leaving as she stood and moved toward Ceaora.
Approaching the outside, Risen weighed half of what Fleet and Dab did. Only 60 measly pounds, the metallic gray female craned her neck high and her ears with forward with authority. Her hackles only slightly raised as her tail curled over her back. "My name is Risen, Daughter of Vicious and Fallen. Leader of the Shadow Haunters..." Her eyes then narrowed coldly to the female. "Who are you and what do you seek here?"
Dab and Fleet stood well out of the way, Only happy that the moat calmed their alpha. Without one, this traitor would have been quickly apprehended and questioned later, especially so close to this time of war.
Ceaora
Her hackles rose slightly when Dab suddenly jumped out in front of her. Though she was only startled, the white hybrid crouched lightly back and lowered her head. She waited for him to speak, and when Fleet came by with his more soft greeting, she began to relax. As they conversed amongs themselves, Ceaora corrected her posture to stand back at her three foot height.
She said not a word as she was looked over, and not even as Risen trotted up to her. She was surprised that the leader was so small...but she had learned the hard way that small things can really pack a bite! Besides...if she didn't get on the leader's good side...she was surely not going to make it out of here alive.
She did her best to bend down to Risen's level, her tan splashed ears lightly pinned back to show submission. "My name is Ceaora, and I have travled far to meet the leader of the noctorious pack, Shadow Haunter. I have come to offer my services."
Risen
The female tilted her head as Ceaora "offered her services". With a crooked lip she responded. "You're not a machine. You're a wolf, act like one. Are you looking for a pack to live with or are you seeking an alliance?" Her eyes flashed a moment. "Don't walk into my temple as if The Shadow Haunters are machines, we are a single working unit of power. Now.... since you weren't born here with us, let me know. Where do you see yourself more likely, In the front line, fighting in all the wars, coming up with ideas and plans for the group as well as punishments for criminal creatures? Or do you like pups and see yourself caring for them, or maybe making concoctions to heal your fellow mates and poison your enemy?" Her eyes narrowed, Guard possitions weren't for wolves, and of course Ceaora couldn't fly, so messanger was out of the question.
Ceaora
Ceaora held herself tall then, a grin spreading across her canine features. Yes...she would fit in here just fine. "I would raise our future warriors." she said with every bit of pride and confidence in tone.
Risen
Her eyes grew harsher as the other's confidence arose. Making sure to put the fea in place. "I'm sure you will..." She said hotly before giving a smirk. "Move down into the basement and tell the Mother's that you are in training. Ynear is the lead, but you will have to get to know all of them if you wish to become a part of them. As well as get to know your children. There is quite a bunch down there this time. Observe what goes on and learn by it." With that she lifted her head and nodded to Fleet and Dab, Who promptly assisted Ceaora. They would escort her to the basement with the mothers.
The tiny alpha nodded to the new mother. "Welcome to the Shadow Haunters, Where even our lowest member has the highest respect." With that she turned away and moved toward the strategists.
Dab giggled on his feet while Fleet scoffed at his brother. Then turned politely to Ceaora, "New members really have to give it time to see the affects of respect, but even our deer has as much respect as our elephant. And I don't mean normal deer." With that he pointed to Quilikahm, A Muntjac deer. "She is our head Healer, in charge of making poisons for battle and healing concoctions for our wounded. She is a timid thing, but we all respect her for what she does and who she is." Dab had to nod in agreement. Before suggesting with his head to move down to the basement. The males, of course, wouldn't follow her down, they had been there their fair share of life, they grew up in the basement and knew that they were too old now to venture down there. Only with permission would they do so.
Ceaora
Ceaora relaxed once the harsh one had left, giving her fur a quick ruffle before she trotted along side with Dab and Fleet. She listened intently to what they had to say, leaning more toward Fleet's side than Dab's.
When the mention the deer, her ears perked up and her head cocked to the side. "Strange. I didn't know the Shadow Haunters consisted of so many species..." Her tone, truly sounded impressed.
"Just how many pups do we have, anyway?" she asked, recalling that Risen had said there were quite a few.
Fleet .+. Dab
The white male smiled to the female as showed her impression on the Haunters so far. "Oh yes, we have deer and rhino's and cheetahs and lions, and tigers.. We have a few horses and a quite the number of bears as well. You will be raising all but the hooved children down in the basement. They are too fragile to let go down the stairs." He smiled, but it was Dab who answered the next question.
"There is easily more than sixty children down there. Most of them are canine, but you will see some feline and others down there in the group. Speak with any of the Mothers and let them know you will be joining them under Risen's command. I'm sure you'll get along great with most of them. They are pretty nice to each other." Dab nodded, and then Fleet mirrored his action. Waiting atop the stairs in case she had any further questions.
Ceaora
It was rather, the most horrid time to become timid about this idea. But, she had expected it sooner or later. Adjusting to new surroundings, after all, would have that kind of affect on a creature. She was grateful for the assistance of the two males, though. Even if one seemed...a bit too happy that she had joined their cause.
As Fleet and Dab stood atop the stairs, she cocked her head in confusion. Then she thought perhaps the females would not allow them into the dens. It made sense, after all. So, she left them with a light smile and trotted down the stairs the rest of the way herself, her bushy tail lightly swinging from side to side.
