Hero

Hero shook his fur with annoyance, yawning and padding near the entrance of the Temple, staring at the gloomy world before him. Hero held his breath for a few moments, orbs sweeping across the terrain and moat outside. Hero, now a full-fledge yearling, was more restless and adventure-seeking then ever. He had taken after his father, Windsong, and he had a very dark side to him, a reason why his half-sisters, Foxtrot and Forbidden, and sister, Katina, always thought of him as a demon. Hero was blood-thirsty, ready for battle, very ambitious….so much like Windsong. Hero sighed heavily, licking his lips. Waiting for danger just to pop up from space.

Incalia

Little did he know, Hero was a lot closer to Danger than he first realised. Standing by the Entrance to the Temple stood the Gamma of the Haunters with Cavan, a savage hybrid who had mothered many of the top warriors that would be the backbone of the Haunter army.

Incalia simply grunted at Cavan's remark, and watched as Thunder's Call brought in the defector, Coriscan. Baring her bloodied fangs at the trator, she snarled at him in disgust, before moving away to wait for Risen. Her path brought he close to Hero, and her attention was drawn to him as he sighed. Her dark eyes, alight with sadistic flames, passed over the yearling. He was strong, that much she could tell, and from the glint in his eyes, he held the same desire to fight and dominate - The qualities Incalia herself prized.

"I don't think I've met you before," came a cold, hostile voice, "but I can certainly see you have great potential, warrior." She had guessed his "job" within the Haunters from his build and mindset, as she was also a warrior, and a skilled one at that. The hybrid femme had taken at least four enemy lives for the Haunters, and there were many more to come.

"I am Incalia, mother to Ghoul, Onslaught, Bandit, Huerosan, Ardeth, Kamari, Malacath, Vaermina, Akki and Kihaku and Gamma of the Shadow Haunters. Who might you be?"

Hero

Hero wasn't light to Incalia, his eyes narrowed at the dog. "Hero, son of Windsong and Fanta." Hero replied coolly, fur ruffled by the wind. "Thanks, Incalia." Hero was proud of her remark, but didn't let it get in the way. All in all, Hero wasn't a proud-to-the-bone type. He cared for nothing, all he wanted to do was kill. Hero, muscles tense as he turned to Incalia. Her eyes were menacing, and seem to stare right threw him as if he was a pup. Fierce type. Females... "So who's the rat we dragged in, today?" Hero pointed his muzzle at Coriscan.

Incalia

Hero, eh? A name that would definately stay in her mind.

Incalia's dark eyes followed Hero's muzzle to land on the traitor, and a smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth. "That is Coriscan," she began, a growl lacing the edges of her already cold voice, "and whatever Risen has planned for him should be interesting. He deserves everything he gets."

The Gamma then turned back to Hero, looking him over as if she was assessing him. "You remind me of my sons, Ghoul and Onslaught. The strong generation that will lead the Haunters once my generation have passed on," she mused, cocking her head slightly as her eyes narrowed in thought, "If you ever need anything, Hero, just let me know."

Something rare had happened; Incalia had taken Hero under her wing, and to be under the protection of this psychotic assassin was a great honour indeed.

"You don't wish to participate in the torture of the traitor?" she questioned, "Do you not believe in torturing those who betray you?"

It wasn't a critisism, more of her trying to find out more about him. The normally cocky hybrid had suddenly become quite serious, and it

Hero

Hero shrugged a smile ebbing at his lips. "Why waste my time on that scum, when I could be killing others. That piece of flesh is worthless, and I'll leave that to the adults to torture." Hero replied with a bit of pride, eyes narrowing at he looked over his shoulder. Incalia was kind, in a dangerous sort of way. Hero smiled inwardly, and understood the honor Incalia was granting him. "I believe in torture, yes, but torture every day will give the victim's pack time to come and save him. Why not kill him, slowly, and then leave his bloody carcass on his territory. The real torture is watching their pack mourn." Hero smiled, orbs glittering. "But, torture is torture. Risen shouts the commands here, so whatever she says, goes. I'll leave my ideas until I am able to get some command around here." Hero wasn't suggesting he would lead the Shadow Haunters, but he had plans to become a high-ranked wolf around here, sooner or later. Hero yawned and looked at Corisan with a snort, silently laughing at the wolf's scrawny frame. Hero was still young, and was almost taller then him already.

Incalia

Hero's rather bold answer prompted a flash of approval in Incalia's dark eyes. A smirk suddenly cracked her serious face, and she couldn't help but laugh quietly at his words.
"I agree, Hero. Murder is a lot more rewarding than torturing pathetic wastes of life, like little Coriscan over there."

A pause; a brief moment to let her words sink in, "What you must understand, my dear, is that his pack will not come to save him unless they wish to die a most painful death. We out number almost every army in this valley, and our skill and size make many quiver in fear of out names. However, I think that you may have a point about leaving his carcass, however worthless, in their land. Perhaps just his head might do the trick..."

His comment about Risen made the smirk fade; he certainly had some strong opinions. "Why not share your ideas now. Risen is open to hearing suggestions, and it sounds to me like you know what you're talking about. It's wolves like you that will lead the Haunters one day; you possess brains and brawn, much like myself."

Incalia wasn't exactly the largest hybrid around. She weighed about 140 pounds, and her cross-blood of Rottweiler and German Shepherd meant that much of her weight was muscle.

"How old are you, Hero?"

Hero

Hero smiled. "True, The Shadow Haunters are the biggest powerhouse in the valley." Hero replied with a dark tone. "I am one...like Risen will listen to a year old pup." Hero gave a uninterested shrug and sighed. "Maybe later, I'll just sit and watch."
