Panther & Quilikahm

Following along to help with Shattered, Panther began to search for Quil. After a good deal of howling, there was finally a response.

The tiny deer came scampering across the ground with a mouthful of plants. Dropping the foliage, she dipped her head, "I'm sorry for being late, I was out gathering."

Shattered; Sacrifice

Shattered's breathing had become deathly shallow because of her collapsed lung. Her vision had since failed her and she didn't dare open her eyes or move. But she was still semi-conscious. Only slightly aware of what was going on around her.

A soft growl interrupted the darkness as Sacrifice limped into the room. Her eyes were low and her front legs trembled beneath her. "Deer..." She growled out, the pain was throbbing into her mind and clouding her judgment. "I-" Her voice began to tremble, a soft whine behind her throat. "I-I think it has to come off..." She looked back to her marred leg. A steady stream of blood pulsed from a large gash right in the middle of the thigh. Both on the outer-thy and inner. "He let me live" She snickered at the last of her words. "He could have killed me... But my leg... I'll never be able to use it." She somehow made it down to a laying position. Her head now lost in thoughts. Letting the blood pool around her injury.

Panther & Quilikahm

"Panther, we need the snakes; a constrictor. Fetch one as quickly as you can!" She instructed, working over her anxieties and shyness by focussing souly on what needed to be done. "Keep your head down, breath easy." The little deer said to Shattered, looking briefly over the leg. The limb certainly looked bad, and the bleeding had to be stopped. Herbs would not do the job quick enough, and so a snake would be needed to constrict the limb until the right plants could be applied and have time to do their work.

Unable to help much with Sacrifice at the moment, Quil turned to Shattered. She could hear the distinct sound of what ailed Shattered; the collapsed lung. "Shattered, if you can hear me, you must lay still. I will be as quick as I can.." The deer leaned her head down, pacing herself with the desperately low breaths of the wolf. She let the tip of one tusk trail gently over the ribs before suddenly pulling her lips back and jabbing the tusk between the bones and into the wolf's chest. Quilikham pulled back instantly, in case Shattered was concious enough to feel the stab and decided to retaliate. But if all went well, the puncture would allow the trapped air to escape, and give the lung space to inflate.

Sacrifice; Shattered

Sacrifice could do nothing, she just lay on the ground as her leg throbbed. Her eyes flicked up to her half sister for a moment before closing behind her eye lids.

Shattered lay still, shallow breathing escaping her until the deer had stabbed her. As the added pain pierced through her, she attempted to make an abrupt whine. But the lack of room to breath quickly caused her to have a small fit of coughing. Followed by a mute scream as her body arched in pain.

It took a good while for the air to escape. Painfully, but the lung began to heal and her breath came back- still shallow from pain- but back.

Quilikham

Waiting for Panther's return, Quil watched Shattered's breathing with a critical eye. When she was convinced that the airspace was evacuating properly, she turned her attention back to Sacrifice.

With Panther no where in sight, Quil had to find another remedy to staunch the bleeding. The little deer sprinted for her room, where she had her stache of herbs stored. In short time, the muntjac was back. A giant white ball of fungus, almost larger than her head, was bouncing precariously along at the side of her mouth. Stopping in by Sacrifice, Quil shook her head and dislodged the giant ball from her tusk. She then went to work dashing the massive ball of white with her hooves, and grinding up a variety of leaves and roots she had carried in her mouth.

The giant puffball worked perfectly to produce a poultice. Nudging the pads of ground fungi and leaves with her nose and hooves, Quil positioned them above and below the wolf's wounded leg. She then began to press down on the poultice, pressing it into the wounds in an effort to stall the blood loss.

Shattered; Sacrifice

Shattered stayed silent, not much to say except for soft whines that seeped out of her now and again from the broken bones.

When the poultice was pressed into her leg, Sacrifice let out a rather loud squeal before turning a tired yet pained face to the deer. "What is that going to do.." She moaned when she could get her voice back. Looking around desperately for another's opinion on the matter.

Fawn, another yet lesser-known healer, walked up with a soft expression on her dingo maw. "I am still learning, and watching, but I am sure you will be alright." Sacrifice's blue eyes shot up toward the healer, then back down to the ground as she waited for her agony to pass.

Fawn looked down to the head healer and lowered her face to the ground. "May I be of assistance?" She questioned, knowing little of the herbs. She was more of an assistant to the healers rather than a healer herself, but she hoped one day she could consider herself such a being.
