Cavan & Others
Long before the others were to arrive, Lion had made it back with the spoils of war - Donte. The little month-old Lurker pup. Taking to the water, the hybrid paddled across and scrambled onto the steps. Jogging briskly up to the balcony, he set the pup down before heading to one of the corners. Without the birds to keep sentry, he sat down and prepared to keep vigil.
Dragging Little Tuft with him, Callholm eased into the water, instantly adding a touch of crimson to the murky depths. His own back was bleeding, though it wasn't terribly serious. The leopard pulled Tuft ashore, pausing to catch his breath before dragging the young lion up the steps and onto the balcony.
Tuft whimpered and moved very little. His leg and neck were mauled, but the worst wounds were two holes in his gut, from which he was loosing a lot of blood. Worse that that were his organs, which had been punctured.
Cavan arrived next, a bit irked that he hadn't gotten to taste blood. He'd gone after that blasted tiger, but Gaara was too quick for him. Damn his brother... he could have laid into that worthless piss-ant and added a kill to his record. Oh well, he'd have at him next time. After crossing the length of water, Cavan perched himself at the bottom of the stairs. If the enemies managed to get past the reptiles, they'd deal with him.
Dulsca entered next, having a severely gored hind limb. It would take weeks for the muscles to heal after have a horn tear through them, but she'd live. Paddling with great disdain through the water, the lioness mother passed by Cavan and headed to the balcony.
Leope came next, head low and eyes gazing dully. Blood covered several areas of his tawny coat, where he had been mauled by canines and other felines. His face was horribly lacerated too, and would certanily rival the myriad of scars that Cavan boasted. After an irritiable moment of debating, the lion forced himself into the water and swam across.Grumbling deep in his throat, Leope found a 'quiter' corner of the balcony to lay in.
Martimoor and Xuvan bother carried injuries as well, from where they had been mauled. Leopeson had some bites on his face and neck, but the three brothers would live. Together, they cross the waters and placed themselves along the length of the stairs as a fall back defense.
Monarda had a mauled face and front legs, but she too would come through that with little trouble. Entering the water with less irritation than the cats, the wolf swam quickly across before seating herself at the top of the staircase.
Tersek was next, moving much slower now. His chest and shoulder were mauled, and his front leg broken. As agonizing as it was, he entered the water and stiffled any sounds of discomfort as he paddled slowly across. Deciding he had done enough for now, the big brute took a rest on the balcony.
Thunder's Call came last, moving slowly across the ground with a faint limp. The back of his neck and head throbbed, and the wounds would have to be cleaned to avoid infection. But he too would live. Moving across the water, Thunder squeezed himself through the narrow stairway, just barely fitting. The felines growled and complained as the grizzly nearly smashed and smothered them on his way up, but he finally made it. If worst came to worst, Thunder would wedge his massive frame into the center of the staircase, and block anyone from coming up. Hoping things didn't come to that, the grizzly found what spare space he could and sat down for a rest.
Tahti/Kane/Majikan/Enshalla/Orinoco/Mahala & Pack
Tahti had collapsed about halfway to the Temple. Kane carried her gently in his jaws and swam across the water with her. Upon reaching the other side, he climbed the stars and set the coyote down on the balcony. Then he kept watch.
Majikan and Enshalla were next, leading the dogs and their wounded human friend to the water. "Gators! We need your help!" Enshalla called. Orinoco swam to the edge of the water and gazed up at the cats. "You called?" She asked. Riverhawk and Sky Dancer soon arrived, dragging Mahala. Night Eyes and Yareli were close behind. "We need to put the human on your back." Night Eyes said. Orinoco nodded and moved closer to the shore. The canines dragged Mahala onto the reptile's back. Riverhawk stood next to the human to keep her from falling. Then they all swam to the other side. Majikan and Enshalla climbed the flight of stairs, followed by Night Eyes and Yareli. Sky Dancer and Riverhawk dragged Mahala up to the balcony. “Thank you very much." Night Eyes said to Orinoco.
Risen .+. others
Risen limped into the temple area, looking at the water for a moment before submersing herself and making it to the otherside. She sat just before the stairs and looked out for the rest to come. "Water reptiles, when the enemies come, submerse and hide yourself. Take them by suprise when they get into the water!" She ordered.
Silver trace came in with a small jog, this round she did little damage and received just as little. She would make up for it by submersing herself into the water and waiting for the enemy. She looked out and ruffled up her coat. The gators would have enough room to strick in front of her, but her line would be just encase they over were overwhelmed.
Shattered and Sacrifice joined Silver Trace's line. Heading in just enough for the water reptiles to attack before them.
Rasheetah limped in, Her ear bleeding and sides slightly scratched up, but over all she was pretty good. Instead of moving to the top with the rest, she stayed in the stair way as a back up defence.
Ghoul moved in with little damage. He joined the wolven line in the water to help protect.
Gymba snorted as the others began to arrive. Moving her horned face to the children. "Get to the other side. Stay away from those who want to hurt you." She snorted. Then backed backed into the water, further back than the canines because she was taller, but still leaving room for the gators to make their moves.
Alderon came plundering in with a tattered ear, bloodied tail, a gored side and claw marks on his back. It wasn't much but the side where Lily's horns had punctured were deep and very much in pain. He submersed in water opposite side of his mate and looked out for the rest that were to come.
Lily/Calvin/Re'em/Orinoco/War Song & Pack
Orinoco nodded to Risen and submersed herself.
Lily raced to the temple, but paused at the shore. She stared into she water. Something wasn't right. Surely the Haunters wouldn't think that they would be protected by a lake. Either they were stupid, or they were very, very smart.
Calvin walked closer to the edge of the water. "Wait!" Lily ordered. "Don't go in just yet." Calvin stepped back.
War Song and his pack soon arrived, stopping at the shore. "I'll go fist, to make sure it's safe." He mumbled, leaping into the water.
The 10-foot caiman looked in the direction of the bear. She silently swam closer, and, when she was close enough, struck out at his hind leg. War Song growled angrily, trying to pull his leg free. "Don't come in!" He called back to the others. He looked into the murky water and tried to see his attacker. He clawed at her side, hoping to make her let go.
Phoenix was furious, but there was little she could do. She didn't know how many 'sea monsters' were in there. "Come out, cowards! Fight like you know what you're doing!" She yelled.
Joe
The little calf elephant heard his adoptive mother and muved further in.
Ardeth, Kamari, Incalia, Krypt, Litharaz & Onslaught
Ardeth and Kamari had both been curled up on the far corner of the balcony when the adults had returned from battle. They watched as the bleeding, injured and unscathed filtered in and various orders were spoken around the water temple. Kamari stayed still, watching those around her in silence. Ardeth, however, stood up, and made his way over towards the alphess. Cocking his head, the hybrid pup stopped next to her and looked up, his body held in a relatively submissive manner. "Did we win?"
At that moment, the opposition burst in, and Ardeth was quickly joined by Kamari, as they both seemed to take shelter beneath their alphess. Both pups didn't do it quietly though, the each began to snarl as best they could. Ardeth also piped up with, "We'll tear you to shreads!"
In the moment of confusion when Orinoco attacked War Song, four more launched an unplanned trap on the group. After retreating from the fight back at Lost Valley, the four had been later than the others, and now found themselves behind enemy lines.
Using this turn of events to their advantage, Incalia led the group in a sneak assault. The monstrous hybrid powered up silently behind Lily, and aimed to jump onto her back, ramming her into the floor with the force, then swing her head round to grab her neck.
Onslaught quickly took his mother's lead, but instead of going over, dipped down to slide under Calvin and tear up his underbelly.
Litharaz was next. The American white Sheperd was one of the first Haunters and was trained by Risen herself. Picking Pheonix out, he went for the back of her neck, aiming to break her spinal chord.
Re'em was Krypt's target. He aimed to break one of his hind legs to hinder his target making him easier to attack later.
Lily/War Song
Lily was unaware of the canine creeping up behind her. She noticed her only when it was too late. "Look behind!" She blurted out as she went down. She struggled greatly, kicking her legs and thrusting her head, trying to get the hybrid to let go.
Unlike his sister, Calvin noticed Onslaught soon enough to evade the attack. He leapt out of the way, then rushed to Lily's aid. "Let go right NOW!!!" He ordered, kicking at Incalia and then swinging his horns at her.
Re'em swung around to face his attacker. "A sneak attack? How dishonorable." He taunted, lowering his head and thrusting his horns out at Krypt.
Bob and Vikhuula arrived just in time. Bob, seeing his daughter attacked by a Haunter, galloped to her side and threw his hooves at Incalia.
Vikhuula, on the other hand, saw her mate face to face with a predator. She stood next to Re'em, stomping her hoof as a warning.
---
War Song finally yanked his leg out of the caiman's jaws and scrambled back to the shore, just as Litharaz attacked.
Phoenix launched herself back, barely dodging the dog's attack. She narrowed her eyes and lunged at him, aiming to tear him apart.
War Song threw his 900 pound body at Litharaz, hoping to crush the dog.
Gymba .+. Alderon
The two Rhinos knew exactly what they were suppose to do. Merging from the water, Gymba went after the bear. Never letting her back turn away from the safety of the water, she aimed and thrust her attack at the side of War Song as he threw himself at the dog. Trying to gut him like a fish.
Alderon growled and snorted a mist of air before escaping the protective waters and making his way toward the one who had gored his sides, Lily. As she lay on the ground Alderon came throwing his horn to Calvin and Bob as his front hooves went to finish off what Incalia had started. And to get revenge for the painful scar at his side.
Risen growled as the others returned, "The war is not over yet, Battles are but steps to the final war, learn from this, learn to hate them, they want you dead... They want you all dead..." She growled and lowered her head protectively over the pups. "Get back upstairs with the mothers, you are more vulnerable down here." She whispered to then, glaring hatefully to the enemies.
Breathless
Ino and Lyric came zooming in from the back of the woods and skirted over the water. Eying for the water dragons. "We have back up, you'll be able to spot one of them, the other two will be with her."
As the birds relayed the message, hidden in the background three creatures slid into the water. They were completely hidden and submerged by the time their bodies were able to move around the front. Breathless moved around Dima, Venom and Melee at her sides. Her eyes twitched back to let the creature know they were on their side. Then the lengthy creature swam around and awaited a creature to take a plunge into the water. Venom and Melee eager for their chances. They had been promised food, it was more than enough to gain the loyalty of the creatures. Although, how loyal they were, and how thick headed they were was a different story.
The birds settled near Risen. Relaying the news into the alpha's ears then awaiting the show to begin.
Hydras & Others
On the tails of their allies, the Lurkers arrived in force to strike a counter against the Haunters. Though Hydras was nearly out of comission at this point, she summonded her remaining strength and poise to keep up the morale of the others. "Kill the stragglers!" Limping heavily, the hybrid made her way to where Incalia was being assaulted. With Scaria, Equiss, and Honthale at her side, the four aimed an attack on the outnumbered hybrid, ready to tear her to pieces.
Aidan, Bullet, Desmon, and Rue all turned their fangs upon Krypt.
Quiadah and Ankh went for Litharaz, while Skeil sent her attack for Onslaught.
Rushing in above the pack was Mesa, minus some feathers. "Stay out of the water!" The falcon cried out, hoping her voice could be heard above the melee. She hadn't seen the latest three arrivals, but she had seen the black bear get savaged by some unknown creature in the pond.
Dally was also missing several patches of feathers, some of which caused his flight to be erradic. But he made it to the balcony, landing less than gracefully near Risen. A long gash ran from the shoulder of his wing, towards his neck, while his chest bore three long cuts. Being only a third of his sister's size, it was hardly a fair fight. "Risen! We lost Guntar, Misqueet, and Black Claw. They lost at least seven... including four Lurkers."
Absolute .+. Fallen .+. Tyratn
Absolute was one of the first to enter the lands, his eyes flaring on Tahti. He dashed toward the water until someone yelled to stay back. He skidded to a halt just inches from the waters edge. But the enemy had already seen him and targetted. Venom had been waiting in the murk and when Absolute slid to a stop the Moccasin struck out and at his legs. Absolute had just rounded and picked up his paws in time to dodge the creature. With a yelp the satin wolf fell back with his tail tucked, orbs looking frantically for Vestige. Trying to stay back from the attackers.
Fallen had come in just as Absolute had, though the warnings of the others fell on deaf ears. Her fangs sought to destroy the one eyed Shattered, I have to prove myself She thought. She had bearly been around the Lurkers enough to help in a fight, and there the enemy was, sitting in the muck like a sitting duck.
Her eyes widened as the corner of her vision caught Absolute being struck at by a copperhead. But it was to late for her, She was already in the water chest deep before she even thought of pivoting around. Before she could even tell what was happening, a gaigantic brown blur shot from the water, her jaws clenching on to the revealed throat of the terrified wolf. Her jaws opened and she yelped loudly with a terrifying tremble in her voice. "HELP!" The 30 foot python raised up from the water as her strength pulled in the black she-wolf. Quickly entwining her and crushing her with her strength. Fallens breath weezed out of her lungs and the constricter forced out her life.
Just the sight of the large python caused Absolutes jaw to drop, as well a few unsuspecting Haunters. Those who backed up in fear were Shattered, Silver Trace, and Tavern. Risen's own jaw dropped as she saw the sheer size of the creature destroying her mother, and then she took in the concept of what was happening and the most deadly of grins crossed her lips, and a light in her eyes arose.
He had come to late. "MOM!" Roared Tyrant as he made a limping dash to the water. Fangs sought the pythons sides and he thrashed to destroy the creature. The python hissed and released her hold, letting the dead mother drop into the water as she resubmerged and hid in the water. "Mother... Mom!" Whined the large brute, his blood spilling out into the murk. Shattered growled to the snakes under the water. "Don't touch him." Tyrant pushed his mother's lifeless body. It only pushed away, letting the flattened fur raise up because of the water. "MOM! Wake up!" Yelped the son.
Grabbing his mother's scruff and pulling her to the shore, he began to press on her gut and chest. His blood dripping down his sides from the water freashening his wounds. There was a moment of silence, even in the battle. Tyrant grew terribly, terribly silent. His eyes turned to the creatures in the water, then to his sisters grinning face. "It was fate." The wolfess said coldly. Tyrants face contorted menacingly as he turned and plunged into the water. His sights first on his blood sister, until he tripped over the large slimy log. He roared and dove his head down and began to bite at the creature, but she moved away in time. His head came back up and he again began to head towards his sister.
Prisoner came racing in with Wither close behind. The horse saw Tyrant heading toward the temple and thought nothing of it until she saw his face. "Oh God..." She sighed, then plunged into the water and began to make her way to the enraged wolf. She grabbed him by the tail but was unready for his savage attack on her face. Squeeling in pain she thrust her head away from his attacks as he continued more toward the alpha. Prisoner now resorted to something she didn't trust, rearing up she took aim and struck out, right on the back of the large wolf's head. His head went down, stricking the bottom of the lake. This time he did not retort, instead he floated up limp. Prisoner backed up in fear.
Wither growled, "No!" She pulled herself to the larger beast and yanked him by the scruff. Making her way through the water she pulled him to the shore just next to his fallen mother. Leaning her head down to his muzzle "He's still breathing..." She said, then quickly realized where she stood and plunged into the water. "JUST GO AWAY!" She howled out, tears filling the brims of her eyes.
Tahti
Tahti watched calmly as the snake killed the enemy. A snarky grin spread across her scarred face. A chuckle left her as Tyrant cried over his mother. "Don't bother, friend. She got what was coming to her." She teased arrogantly, glaring down at him with her single eye.
Patch-Arget-Suenga-Reinforcements
Patch, whom had arrived late, howled. Looking around, he heard Mesa. "I brought reinforcements, Hydras, friends that helped us one our way to the alleys. Mother is too weak to fight, she is at the Lost Valley. She's sorry." Patch told the alpha shortly. Leaoing into the melee with Equiss, readily launching at Incalia's flanks, a bloodlust ruling his body.
Arget, still half-blinded but now in control of her body and no longer in pain, rushed towards the water, Mesa's warning pushing her away. She saw Mahala, but knew the reptiles had her. "Dammit!" Arget pivoted, lashing out at Onslaught, aiding Skeil. "You won't fight alone." Arget growled, launching for Onslaught's hind leg, ready to crush the animal's bone in her strong jaws.
Suenga was swift to aid his sister, leaping at Onslaught's shoulder, using much force to throw upon the wolf. "Damn you Haunters!"
The Bald Eagle twisted, Lako's huge wings flapping as he flew into the temple. Lako's eyes rested upon Krypt, but he made a sudden fly to the top, as though to pretend to dive for Krypt. But in swift manuevers he dove as Dally, talons outstretched. At this pace he'd get the bird before he had time to think.
Rusty was small, creeping lynx, her body moving swiftly but silently. Nobody noticed her climb up towards Rusty, so silent. She curved, ears pinned against her skull. She took a few paces forward, before launching herself in the air, claws outstretched, teeth bared, the lynx went directly for Risen's neck.
Swiftfoot, a skilled dog Hybrid, rushed into the temple. His eyes examined the landscape, his nostrils told him of the crocidiles. "Crocidiles! Don't go near the water!" Swiftfoot howled, his message was much, much louder then Mesa's. Lunging, Swiftfoot dashed towards Krypt, going directly for Krypt's neck. It would be a short death.
Risen .+. Melee
"Take turns fighting, and take breaks in the water!" Commanded the leader, she didn't want her pack dieing off and the others were in their turf now. The water being a resting point, the others could fight until tired, and then rest until fit to fight again. She was wanted to get back out and help but she knew she'd do little to scathe the other group.
Risen felt the tiny claws of the cat lurch into her neck, "How did you-!?" She snarled then rolled over into the water. Being just at the edge of the water near the temple, she easily made it into the cool liquid. "what's her name?-" Risen whispered to herself. "MELEE!" She barked. The water seemed as if not to move, but Risen still tried to put the cat under anyway.
The water snake swam stealthily through the murky depths until her nostrils pricked up the thermal image of a canine and feline. Her reptilian jaws twisted into a devilish smile and she coiled back, taking aim and then striking her venomous fangs at the cats neck. If the cat did not retreat from her attack, she would give her a second go.
Prisoner .+. others
Not about to sit and cry over what she had done, Prisoner was up and out of the water to help her comrades. Her thundering hooves stamped their way to the noisy Swiftfoot. As the hybrid charged for Krypt, Prisoner attempted to intercept the attack and knock the creature down.
Swimming from the temple came a few of the younger Haunters, old enough to fight, yet to young to join war. They growled in attempts to save their home and family.
Dab, Fleet, and Vidiv came swimming from the other side. Dab had a coy look on his face while fleet had one of rage. Vidiv was much more timid and had an uncertain look. As they emerged they took to their flight and charged after the attackers.
As Arget attacked Onslaught, the raid of both Dab and Fleet took the advantage and swarmed the smaller female. Dab headed for her face and neck while Fleet tried to grab a foot and injure it. Although he was yet to be strong enough to crush bone, he could surely snap it if he thrashed right.
Vidiv looked around for an attacker. He wanted to stay away from his other brothers but decided against it and headed toward Suenga. Leaping upon the creature and biting at her his shoulders and neck.
Ghoul had been in the water and quickly rushed out as his brother was being assaulted. He didn't want his other lion brothers moving in, but he had to save blood. Swiftly he, too, leapt at Suenga, His target was more predictable as he aimed to tear out his throat.
Breathless, now sensing the danger of Tyrant was over, slowly slithered up to the land. Letting a third of her massive body enter the dry territory and then lift up. She let her head tower six feet in the air so that a wolf wouldn't grab it so easily. As well, she kept her eyes opened for targets and enemies who might try and attack.
Spotting a squabble at the corner with a few of the horned creatures, Breathless made her way back into the water then reemerged closer. Coiling back, she launched her jaws for Calvin's hooves, if able to get a hold, she would recoil back into the water with her prize to constrict and drown him.
Growling, the injured Wither made her way to her uncle to clear him from being trampled. Grabbing his scruff and raising her ruff, she moved the brute away and into the woods. She knew Risen would no longer welcome him in the temple. After moments, she returned and entered the water once again.
Cavan & Others
With only half a tail and missing some digits, it took the alligator some time to reach his targets. But if he ever got a hold of someone... they'd be in trouble. Staying submerged, Dima glided slowly in the murky waters, letting his sensative snout tell him who was where. The snakes made him wary at first, but he was quickly aware who's side they were on, and so he left them alone. The alligator made his way right up to the edge of the shore, his snout sitting just inches below the surface as he waited for an enemy foolish enough to get near him.
Dally was wiped out from the fight with his sister, and hardly noticed Lako until the giant eagle came swooping down from the heavens. Unable to bolt from the balcony in time, the peregrine falcon rolled onto his back, flurishing his hooked beack and talons as he prepared to tear into the eagle's underbelly.
Mesa circled above, watching as Lako's talons dug into the shoulders and wings of her brother. Something deep inside of her likened to regret and sorrow, but she did not help Dally. He had made his choice already.
Lion and Velvet stood at the edge of the balcony, watching the fight unfold. From behind, Cavan padded forward, snarling as he saw the enemy at their 'door'.
"Fall back! Get to the water!" Velvet suddenly cried out, as ideas ran through her mind. She had been put into the category of tactical thinkers, and felt it was her responsibility to try and keep order during the chaos. A sort of... advisor to the leaders, perhaps.
Lion picked up on the feline's suggestion, and barked out his own words to back hers, "Get out of the shallows! Get to the deep waters!" Once in the deep water, the enemies would not be able to see or avoid a strike by the reptiles. Their bellies and throats would be fully exposed.
Mesa swooped down, alighting on a branch near the water, "Don't go in the water!" She countered, seeing the obvious ploy the two Haunters were trying to pull. "We've beat them already!" With the Haunters pushed back to their fortress, Mesa didn't see any change for her side to defeat them. They had a moat filled with water beasties, and an entrance that would only permit one or two animals at a time up the stairs - and that only if they got past the deadly waters.
Swiftfoot + Lako + Rusty + Suenga—Bloodlust
Swiftfoot growled, Prisoner's hooves skimming against his hindquarters. Swiftfoot leapt back, lashing out towards Prisoner's chest, long fangs ready to strike harshly.
Lako felt Dally's talons rake against his belly. Laughing, for this wasn't near enough pain to injure the Bald Eagle. Beak wide open, Lako snapped at Dally's skull,
Rusty hissed, still holding on, until, of course, the snake came. Rusty gasped and let go of Risen, dodging the snake's attack my mere inches. "Oh! So the great Haunter leader can't fight against a puny cat on her own! Coward! Call the snake off! Face me like a true leader!" Rusty yowled, looking Risen in the eyes, but still keeping in mind of Melee.
Suenga growled, pulling away from his victim. "Damn you!" Suenga cursed. "Haunter scum!" Suenga moved so Ghoul's fangs dug into his shoulder, rather then a fatal bite in the neck. Suenga lashed out at Ghoul, going directly for Ghoul's face, hoping to blind or tear a ear.
Ghoul's attack was unsuccessful, for Suenga's sake. But when Vidiv's attack managed to sink into Suenga's shoulder, pain coursing threw his bodice. "Shit." Suenga snarled, leaping at, not Vidiv, but Ghoul. Better to stop one attack then have two. "Dammit! Were's help when you need it?"
Bloodlust had returned. The Phantom. She was back. Her pups had all died off. Humans. She had a short story, but no need. When Bloodlust scented the Lurkers at Dima's Temple, she knew she would aid her pack immediately. Bloodlust announced her arrival with a howl but then threw herself at Hydras, she knew the scent of any Haunter ally, and she wouldn't let them die off. "Get. Away. From. Him." Bloodlust growled, using all of her force to push The Lurkers' leader off her paws.
Bob/Calvin/Lily
Calvin saw the snake just a bit too late. Before he knew it, the serpent was coiled around his legs and he was being dragged into the water. "Help!" He cried frantically, trying to keep his head above the water.
Lily gasped when he saw Breathless attacking his brother. "Let him go! Let Him go or I'll kill you!" She hissed. There was little she could do, as she was being held down by the canines.
Bob heard his son's voice. He galloped to the edge of the water, but paused there. It would be suicide to jump in there with the 'dragons.' He thought twice. He couldn't just let Calvin be suffocated by the snake. So he leapt in, racing fearfully towards his dying son. He lowered his head and then thrust it up, trying to put a hole in Breathless' flesh.
Breathless .+. Venom .+. Melee
Breathless, being 30 foot, continued to coil around the brute's chest as she continued to moved toward the deep end. Forcing the head under the water and squeezing his lungs.
Venom, being very agitated that his new home was under attack, spotted Bob heading for the Reticulated Python. As the creature got into deeper water the moccasin swam up and began to bit the gut of the creature with his poisoned filled fangs, knowing the land creature was not as fast as he in the water.
Melee continued to pursue the feline in the water, after she had let go of the injured alpha, Melee only gave false strikes to back her away. If the cat turned back to attack the wolf, her strikes would no longer be fake.
Risen growled, and pulled herself back up onto the temple. Glaring hotly at the cat. "We are in our own land, we don't have to play fair!" She snarled, "As long as you get out."
Alderon, being quick to back down from fighting, moved back into the water, tired once again from the fight, he saw Calvin heading for the waters and charged the creature to create his own hole.
Bob/Calvin/Lily
Calvin tried to push himself up with his legs, but the water was too deep. He was soon at the bottom. He moved no more.
Lily, with a sudden burst of strength and rage, jumped into the air and swung around, trying to send the dog flying. "YOU WORTHLESS CRAP KILLED MY BROTHER!" She spat spitefully. Now it was personal. She kicked her hooves out at anyone around.
Bob scrambled back onto shore as soon as his son was gone. He looked off in the distance and saw the Shadow Haunters' alpha on the other side of the lake. "Hey! Risen!" He called, hoping she would hear him. "If you or any of your underlings touch me, my daughter, or any of our herd, I'll hunt you down, and I'll kill you. I'll gore you in the stomach, then I'll stomp your head into the dust." He glared at her with the most hateful look on his face.
Risen
Risen, unknown to what was going on with the herd, looked up as Bob called to her. She didn't know how to retort until the lifeless body of the oryx was released and floated to the top of the water. "You'll be eaten as our dinner before you can gore out any more of us." She cried out to him. Snarling dangerously before her attention returned to the lynx.
Breathless watched as Calvin's body floated away, the oryx was to dangerous to eat, but Fallen was not. If they left her body here, the reticulated python would have her weeks dinner.
Rusty
Rusty snarled. "C'mon! You coward!" Rusty then looked at the snake. "You think I'm stupid? I know your faking it! Strike me. I dare you!" Rusty's fur bristled, she was agile...she could sense moves coming, and not to mention her reflexes. So if that snake thought it could fake attacks...wrong
Breathless .+. Melee
Growing irritated, the python swam closer to the temple where the bob cat and moccasin were. Vision caught the creature and she moved around in the water till she was behind the feline. Slowly lifting her head up just enough to get a clear image of Rusty. Soon she coiled back and as Melee delivered a true attack at the cat's front paws, Breathless struck out at the cats hind limb.
If successful, she would not let go. And like the others, Rusty would be pulled to a watery grave.
Tahti/Kane
Tahti bared her teeth and snarled at the lynx. The evil look on her face spoke for itself - Get out. She eased herself up off the ground and raised her hackles, then rushed towards the intruder, snapping viciously at his back and sides.
Kane plucked up and followed Tahti. He launched himself into the air, trying to bring the cat to the ground.
Rusty
Rusty's ears flicked back, she lept into the water, using her web-like paws to swim away from the melee. "Fuck you!" Rusty snarled, she was swift in water, like a fish. She had spent most of her life swimming. She saw Tahti, but she had vaulted into the water too early for it to be successful. Coward Rusty thought to herself. "Every last Haunter is a coward! Damn them all!"
Hydras & Others
Mesa's warning dawned on Hydras a bit too late, and before she could think of stopping Fallen, the mother was taken under and killed. "Pull back!" The alphess barked out, eyes wide as she watched a second victim pulled under. "We've already defeated them!" She went on, tail high and fur bristled like a mane around her neck.
Under her command, the rest of the Lurkers quickly pulled back from their intended targets and began to fall back with Hydras. They would leave once they were sure the rest of their pack and allies were safe.
Lyckos & Pack, Vestige and Jagged
Lyckos and the others hadn't even made it to the temple when he heard Hydras order the pack to withdraw. Barking to the others that were just arriving, he turned and fled with her and the rest back to the alleys.
Vestige had been behind his temporary allies when they retreated. He didn't want to put himself in danger, so as he skidded to a halt on the border of the ruins, he turned and bolted back to Aspen Grove, his son right behind him.
War Song/Lily
War Song glared up at Risen before speaking to his pack. "They have lost. They have fled, and hid in their temple. We are victorious." He said, loud enough so that the Haunters could hear as well. The bear, along with Phoenix, Saguaro and Seabird, walked away.
Lily picked herself up, glaring into the water where her brother was killed. She closed her eyes, and walked away. Bob sighed and followed his daughter. Vikhuula and Re'em both threw hateful glances at the enemies before walking away.
