Villain
Villain barked at the temple then wagged his tail. Calling out to Dima "This is our Healer! Please come, our war has started! Take Quil to the middle temple and let me get the cubs as well. They need your protection!" He entered the water until it hit up to his chest. Wagging his tail excitedly. Turning his head to the deer with a nod.
Villain .+. Others
Villain didn't hesitate to leave. Running all the way to he cats terra then back with a wolf cub and a lion cub in his mouth. Placing them down next to the deer he barked for Dima to take the load across. Leaping into the water he made his way to the temple in the middle. The land was under water, but only up to his mid for leg. It was deep enough to go to the pups chests. There he stood looking out, waiting for the pups to be farried to him so he could begin to bring them to the upper balcony.
Soon the three females entered. Ynear placed down her pups, Wither let down hers, and Silver placed down Toxin. All waited for Dima.
Quilikahm & Dima
Dima came quickly to Villain's calling, rising up right in front of where the wolf stood in the water. "MB
The muntjac had to battle an insane fear at the sight of this predator, but she had succeeded so far. If she could trust these wolves, then she ought to be able to trust this amphibious reptile. Stepping gingerly onto his scaley hide, Quil held back a shiver as Dima rose up and swam for the Temple. As soon as she was within reach, the deer leapt from his back and headed to the balcony.
When Villian returned, Dima was there waiting. He would swim right up to where the pups were and allow a few on his back at a time before transporting them to the Temple; and repeating this process as many times as needed to get all the youngsters to the Temple.
Ynear .+. Others
The babysitter continued to push the children onto the gators back. Eyeing him to make sure he would cause them no harm. Iota sat and growled, only getting on when Toxin did. Ghoul was one of the first to get on. Being carted over, Villain picked up the boy and trotted to the balcony, setting him down with a firm "Stay" Ghoul leaned against the edge wall, letting the shade cover his body. Growling slightly under his breath as Villain came below to herd the children up.
Wither .+. Silver Trace
The two feas had left to help bring back the remaining pups. Returning out of breath and staggering, placing the children down and nodded to Ynear, they began to walk to the battle grounds.
Onslaught
Growling slightly as he was placed on the floor, Onslaught clambered onto the gator and was quickly transported to the other side of the room to the balcony. Jumping off, he padded over to Ghoul to whom he nodded, before sitting down and waiting for the adults to come over.
Nachi, Dulsca & Others
The lioness and tigeress came soon enough, along with Nachi and the last of their cubs. The kittens were not all too happy about the water, but after seeing their wolven brethren being carted safely across, they too allowed themselves to be ferried across. Both Dulsca and Chahaya were too large for Dima, and so they waded into the water and swam the distance to the Temple.
Nachi was also a bit large for the young gator, and so she took to the water as well and followed the two felines across.
Dulsca scrambled quickly into the temple, giving her coat a vigorous shake before heading up to the balcony. Chahaya planted herself right in the stairway, her large mass blocking the only enterance to the balcony. If any enemies attacked, they'd have to go through her first... that is, if they could first make it past Dima and Orinoco.
Martimoor and his three brothers clustered themselves around Onslaught and Goul, convinced that they had formed a nice little coalition with the other two brothers.
Velvet padded towards the edge of the balcony and peered off, her big eyes widening even more when she saw how high they were, and how much water surrounded them.
Black Claw settled down with her mother for another mid-day snack. And Dulsca, being the lion that she was, sprawled out on her back for a nap.
Tyrant
His body rounded the corner and he made his way toward the aligator Ferry. Smiling to all the children and nodding at his half sister Ynear. The black wolfess nodded back and eyed Nymph but said nothing.
Tyrant nodded then turned to the mountain lion. "As much as you little kitties hate the water, you're going to have to swim to that temple in the middle. " He pointed with his snout to the tigress who blocked the only stairwell that lead to he children.
Ynear barked to Chahaya "Let this one through, Tyrant says she is alright." She eyed the lion. But continued to herd the children onto the gator ferry to the other side.
Tyrant crooned "I must leave you for now, This is Ynear. Chahaya is the tiger and Dulsca is the lion. The children will probably tell you all their names. And be nice to Dima and Orinoco." He chuckled to himself, eyes light with humor as he made his way back to he temple.
Nymph
The ebony frame of the female followed Tyrant, swishing her tail and swinging her hips almost lazily. As Tyrant left her with the group of wolves and cats, she turned her silver eyes upon them, letting her voice come in a soft, soothing purr so as not to frighten the children. My greetings to you all. I am Nymph, daughter of Essus and Maeve. Tyrant informs me that I you might appreciate some aid looking after your young. Might I be of assitance?
The dangerous and sly look that had lay in the chrome-colored eyes had moved to simmer in the back, leaving her soft, mothering eyes. Her only true soft spot: younglings. Then the soft voice came again. I understand we're in for a swim?
Ynear
The black fea nodded with a motherly smile "Yes, The aligators can't hold our weight, we have to swim but I am going to wait until everyone is across, you can join Chahaya and Dulsca with the cubs if you like. They are already at the temple." She pointed to them the continued moving younglings across.
Ghoul welcomed the lion cubs and huddled with them, looking toward the wall-less edge. He shivered. "That would suck to fall" He murmured under his breath then turned to Dulsca. "Why can't we stay in the land? Why do we have to be here?" He complained.
Dulsca & Others
Chahaya pulled herself up and descended from the narrow flight of stairs. "Another pair of eyes would be most helpful." The tigeress confirmed, speaking in a loud voice to carry over the distance that separated her from Nymph.
Dulsca opened a single eye, just a crack, as Ghoul spoke to her. After getting a glimpse of the pup, her golden-amber eye closed again and she answered him in a half-yawn, "The others are fighting right now." The lioness shifted and rolled onto her side, eyes still closed as she went on to further answer his question, "This is the safest place for youngsters like yourself."
Leopeson peered over the edge as well, then quickly scuttled back. "Very much so." He added hastily to Ghoul's comment, before listening to his mother reply.
Martimoor, always eager to prove himself, piped up quickly, "The six of us will be the best coalition there is!" The cub looked as proud as a cub could as he looked from his brother to the two wolf pups.
"We're not in Africa, stupid. Who're you going to lead a coalition against? There aren't any other lion prides around here!" She countered him, reciting information she had gotten from her parents.
Xuvan was quick to jump to his brother's defense, "So, we can still fight others, duh! There's plenty of wolves and cats to fight." As he spoke, his eyes landed on Nymph at the edge of the 'pond'. "Looky there, she kind of looks like a lion. I'm sure there's prides of those cats around here." He offered, not realizing that cougars didn't live in prides. "We can take them over."
Velvet rolled her eyes, "It's not about taking others over all the time, Xuvan. It's about protecting us girls."
Panther & Destroying Angel
The two traveled together on Dima's back, finding some comfort in being together when everything else was so confusing. At least the kind Nachi and Ynear were here to protect them though, as well as all these fascinating big cats.
The two siblings stayed away from the others at first, sitting side-by-side as they watched the others. Slowly, curiousity began to nag at them as it did any ordinary pup. Panther ventured towards the edge of the balcony to see just how high up they were. And like the others, a sense of fear hit him when he realized just how high up they were. Lucky there was water below, but he still didn't want to chance it.
Angel made her way over to Black Claw and Dulsca, hesitating a moment before lying down nest to the big lioness.
Nymph
She smiled, glad that at least these were friendly. She eyed the water suspiciously for, like any other cat, she was not inherently fond of water. But finally, with a small grimace, she trod into the water, swimming with a grace that belied her hatred of the liqiud. One would think she had been born to it. Finally arriving on shore, she stood as far from the others as possible and shook off throughly, turning about on herself to press the water out of her coat with her salmon tongue. Even here in this dim light, due to her golden guard-hairs, Nymph's coat shone spectacularly, making quite the pretty picture out of her. When she was finally dry, she moved over near the others, lying down and curling into a moon shape, a deep purr settling in her throat. This would be enjoyable, watching this adorable little ones. Quite enjoyable.
Bandit
Bandit was soon dropped from the maw of a wolfess and landed on the ground with a thump. He growled and pounced up, stiffening. He threw his ears back at the new surroundings and all the water. He slunk to the edge, peering down into the water. His tiny blue eyes narrowed at the sight. Crown shot up at the sound of more moving water, to see Nymph wading through it. His brow - if you could call it that - Seemed to crease. He edged from the murky aqua and curled up, eyeing his siblings and their friends. Brothers or no, he had grown to be wary of everyone, as was his cautious nature. How much this would aid him in the future he was clueless. Bandit yawned suddenly, but no more traces of weariness was shown as he kept watch on the other pups; and kittens, for that matter; with little trust in the new ones. Unlike Ghoul and Onslaught, he'd much rather stay away from the fighting and watch, finding weaknesses and doing what he could to plunge them deep into his mind. Bandit thought he was pretty smart, high and mighty over the idiots who wasted their time with brawn over brain. Hmph. The pup stod and stretched, growling as he did and glanced back at the nearly placid water. It interested him to see what it would be like to go thorugh it so easily as he had viewed the adultss do so. Was it hard, even as adults? Did it takesyears of practice? If so, he hadn't the time, there was more important things to do than try swimming. Darkblue optics caved into thoughts once more as the water rippled a reflection.
Onslaught
Onslaught greeted Martimoor and the other cubs as they joined himself and Ghoul. He didn't say anything about the water, just nodded, watching the dark, swirling body of liquid. He smirked as Martimoor commented on their "coalition", Yeah, we're gonna be feared all over the valley, everyone will run in fear of us because we're so powerful! He practically ignored Nymph; he thought she had no significance. His metallic grey body appeared darker in the dim light temple, his icy, yellow eyes piercing the the shadows. His tall black ears were erect from his head as he took in the various sounds, his black muzzle held high in the presence of his 'gang'. The only thing that made him stand out amidst the blackness was his hind paws, pearly white.
Ynear .+. Tyrant .+. Others
Growing impatient, the babysitter shoved the rest of the pups onto the gators back. This included bandit, Toxin, and Iota. After their run, Phanto, Phantom, and Nightshade went. Only after all had been ferried across did Ynear wad her way into the chilling water and swim to the other side. Climbing up on the other side, she nabbed Toxin, an she made her way up the stairs. Setting the pup down she sat at the upper end of the staircase. Laying down so that the cubs would not go through her to get down and escape.
Giving a graceful nod to the deer she snorted and laid her head on the ground. The balcony was about fourty feet wide, by thirty feet long. Giving them enough space to lay down, but not much more than that. The door way was about three feet wide, leading straight from the stairs to the deck. Looking from the door, the left and right sides of the balcony had a three foot tall wall while straight out had no wall. Ynear saw this as a very big danger. "Children you are forbidden to go near that edge. Anyone caught disobeying this rule will be in time out till the sun goes down!" She snarled, the sun was high in mid day. The time out would be freakishly long.
A tiny yellow-fronted canary circled high around, it was Lyric. A friend of Tyrant's, She was to keep a look out for any potential threats that the gators could not see. None of the wolves new this though, and she did not inform them, not just yet. Tyrant would tell them.
And that is when Tyrant entered. Penny hanging from his jaws for the bird could not lift herself with her legs. Swimming through the lake, he rose up on the other side, making sure the bird would not drown. As he rose, the water pooled off of him and he made his way up the flight of stairs. Stepping over his sister he placed the bird near the muntjac. "Heal her, but give her one of your plants to make her pass out. Don't kill her, we just want her to shut up." He smiled and flicked his tail "Oh and, you see that bird there." as he pointed Lyric buzzed by, paused and continued her circled path. "She is a friend of mine, if she gives you warning, heed it." with that he walked back down the stairs, through the water, and made his way back to the temple.
Iota growled, she didn't like being forced upon the gator, nor the trip up the stairs. But once again she was reunited with her friend and huddled close to the wolf. "Do you think we'll be safe here?" She asked in a low tone. Eyes shifting around as her red and black coat lowered nearer to the floor.
Ghoul liked all the words that were being passed around the male group. Nodding, "I believe we will be the strongest. When in a fight, the rest of the Haunters will move aside to watch us in all our awesomeness..." He mouthed the word 'awesomeness' again then decided that it was a word. Even though he made it up.
Toxin
As she was set down, her mismatched eyes turned to Ynear for a brief moment, and their was such a look of sadness in them, but it was only breifly. She stood, and moved quietly towards a darkened corner, though still in eyesight. She just wanted everyone to go away. She wanted Kaiya, she always knew what to do.
Nymph
Nymph followed everyone up the stairs and spread her body a few feet away from Ynear. Large as she was, she took up a great deal of space, but there was still plenty of room to move around. Her soft, sure voice answered the pups' question. Yes, we will all be safe. While Ynear and I and the rest are here, nothing can harm you.
And she looked over to Toxin, who seemed so lonely and afraid. She let a small purr in her voice and addressed her. Why so unsociable, little one? Life cannot be that bleak. You are too young. What's the trouble?
Toxin
Her eyes lifted to Nymph, and for a moment an intense hatred filled blue green orbs, enough that it could startle that of an adult to know that one as small as she could feel so much pain. Because of you, I have no one. I have nothing. My life, it may not have been perfect but I had my friends, my children. They were mine because no one else wanted them but you took them away!. Tears glittered in her eyes, but then she stood and turned round, laying down with her back to them.
Penny
Penny was finally giving up. For now, at least. Her legs were in great pain and blood was flowing down them. Once a bird of prey, ruling over those in the African scrub, now a slave. Why had she come here in the first place? She had been foolish. She would be lucky if somebody came and set her free. She looked at Toxin, ignoring the pain in her legs. "Don't listen to them. They're murderers!" She exclaimed. She could tell there was something different about her. "Just look at what they did to me!"
Ynear
For once Ynear let up a devilish snarl. Finally showing through some of her grandfather's traits. "I've had it Toxin!" She stood and walked over to the pup to share who two cents worth. "Your little friends would be here if you would like. But now that you are here we are not to touch nor harm them. You are their safety, and will keep them safe by staying here. If you run back the treaty is broken and we are elligable to destroy the rest of the pack. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT!?" She let of a louder more chilling snarl. To see such a tiny and usually kind fea so angry would be the odd sight. Never had she become so angry and upset. But slowly she cooled down and tried to give the softer gaze. "I don't want your children hurt. I don't want anyones children hurt, but the goal of this pack prevents us from saving every child. Because of you being here, we will not harm them, we will even protect them once Vestige is gone. That is the plan to protect that whole pack. You will be reunited with them, I promise." She ended on a softer more sencere note, trying to both decipline and comfort the pup at once. An unusual tactict but she hoped it would work.
Toxin
Her eyes closed, her heart breaking at Ynears words. Suddenly she turned and stood, her small frame bristling as she looked into the eyes of the older, larger fatale. Alright, I listened now I want you to. I tried to run once, ONCE you foolish wolf. I'm stuck here, with these....Things She nodded towards the other pups and lion cubs. You've destroyed this bird, taken its freedom. Its life. Just like all of you took away mine. So yeah, I may be a peace treaty but for what? You save a pack, kill an alpha. You won't rule them, if anything they'll fight you until they all lie dead. Then what do you have?! She was breathing hard, her eyes flaming, but she took one last deep breath then shook her head. She murmered something, it sounded almost like an apology before she lay back down, her back to Ynear and the others as she blocked them out once more.
Penny
Penny liked this one. "She's right! Fools! You'll never win! What do you have when you kill us? The haunting memory of the taste of innocent blood?! What kind of reward is that?!" She spat, pecking at Tyrant's eyes. "You sick freaks! Let her go! Let me go!" She had no strength in her legs, but her determination and fiery attitude made up for that.
Toxin
She sat up and scowled darkly at Penny, a soft growl rising in her throat. Shut up, foolish bird for you know nothing as well. She turned back once more, away from Penny and scowled into the darkness.
Penny
Penny stared at Toxin. "Oh now. Who died and made you queen?!" She snapped. "Some of us are not willing to give up hope so easily! You'll see..." She looked at Tyrant. "YOU'LL ALL SEE!!! HA HA HA!" She was beginning to go crazy from the pain and the anger.
Ynear .+. Others
She growled and snapped a fake bite at the bird. "Shut your trap fool." She began to walk back to the stairway and sat near it. Grumbling under her throat. "The way I see it, when this is over, there will be less war, we are eliminating fools like" She jerked her head harshly at the bird. "this one." Her pate shook lightly, "So you would rather sacrifice their lives just so you could be with them? How selfish." Last words were more hurt than angry. Looking blankly ahead of herself.
Iota whimpered and crawled up to Toxin, laying her head on the older pups rump. Her tail offered no wag, she was depressed that her friend was hurt.
Ghoul merely sneered at the group of blundering fools. "Stupid bird." He turned to the rest. "Do you think we could kill it?" He laughed. Wondering if his own words were a joke or an offer.
Dulsca & Others
Dulsca raised her head up now, a look of annoyance being convayed in her partially opened orbs. All she wanted to do now was catch up on her daily regiment of sleep, but these wovles kept bickering with each other. She half wanted to shove a few into the water, but knew that'd be counter-productive. With a loud, heavy sigh to announce her displeasure, the lioness relaxed her head on the ground again, tail lashing more quickly now.
Martimoor grinned at Ghoul's comment. "I know we could kill it." He watched Penny with a hunter's gaze, very much tempted.
Little Tuft scootched in closer to Ghoul and Marti, "Hey, I bet they brought it here for us to practice hunting on! Mom said she'd bring animals for us to practice on, remember?" He piped up.
Xuvan nodded, "Hey, you're right. Why else would they have a bird here, who's all broken up?"
Penny
Penny spat at the fools. "Shut up! You do not know what you are talking about! I came here because I wanted to!" She snapped. "And I have a plan! You're all about to DIE!!!" She laughed insanely. "You could not kill me even if I had no sense and my wings were torn off!"
Toxin
She glared at Ynear, then stood and moved in front of Penny. She gave a glance to Iota, softly smiling at her friend. Standing in front of the bird, she said softly You'll go through me before you get to her. The bleeding the others had caused had stopped, but she didn't mind the cuts now. Little fangs, little damage. Her eyes glared heatedly at the lion cubs and the wolf pups, her eyes heated and flickering dangerously. Softly she hissed to the bird And you keep your mouth shut or I'll eat you.
Penny
Penny nodded to Toxin. Toxin may be her hero, if she ever had one. Her old friends from the zoo could not help. There was only Jack. She was unaware that he was in worse shape than her. But she thought that the lone African Wild Dog could take out a pride of lions himself.
Dulsca & Others
"It'll be my pleasure!" Leopeson shot back boldly to Toxin, feeling emesnely powerful when he was with his new little coalition. "We can take on a whimp like you, easy! Can't we, guys?"
The other three cubs all pressed in closer together, showing off there small fangs and looking completely fearless as they tried to stare down and intimidate the wolfess.
Velvet, choosing not to get in the middle of the brothers' antics this time, moved towards Nymph. She circled around the cougar once, then plopped down near her head. With a squeaky yawn, she curled herself up in the same fashion Nymph did before dozing off.
Onslaught
Onslaught smirked at the bickering between the battered bird and Toxin. Nodding in agreement with his group, the pup joined ranks with the cubs, adding his own snarl and fangs to the wall. Yeah, You don't stand a chance. His narrowed eyes were directed to the bird. Your next.
Ynear .+. Ghoul .+. Iota
Ynear watched the group and growled slightly under her breath. Laying her head down but keeping awake once again if things were to get too out of control. She was beginingn to regret taking this job, Toxin was a hand full and the little cubs just wanted to push her down. It was a pecking order that had to be set some time in there life. Better while they were young and couldn't kill each other.
Iota growled and came up next to Toxin. Even though she was begining to dislike the birds annoying squawks, she would stick up her her friend. Even if it ment attacking the outnumbering boys.
Ghoul's eyes flashed as he saw the temptation rise in each, the a wicked smile formed on his lips as Toxin moved in the way. He had never portrayed the insanity he was begining to reveal at that moment. He moved closer, creeping up and standing next to what he was beginging to consider his 'feline brothers'. Deep snarls began to form from his lips and he chuckled "Yeah, we could take them down with ease, all three of them." His tail began to wag slowly, so slowly. Staring the group down through a slightly masked face. Ready to begin the tumble.
Nymph
Her silver eyes watched the quarreling pups, knowing from experience the same thing Ynear did. Better that they fight and settle their differences while they were still small enough to be controlled by adults should things get too out of hand. Her tail swished a little at the tip, a warning to any that knew anything about large cats, but she did not move or say a word. But the eyes of molten silver missed nothing. If things got to violent, she would step in.
Toxin
Her eyes seemed to flash, and she took a step back so that the bird was beneath her. Back off. Her voice was so soft, feather light as if she were afraid but those eyes, oh those eyes they told all. Ready to kill, she was. She was older then they, not by much but she'd use her extra weight. As Iota came beside, she could not deny the inner ray of hope that sparked to life. They stood a chance, in this dark dance to play this merciless game. Odd colored coat bristled, and she did glare. Oh how they were to be caught in her evil snare. Her eyes flashed over to Onslaught, and a dark smile arose. For he is the one that she chose.
Onslaught
Onslaught sniggered maliciously, You honestly think you have a chance against us! His eyes locked with Toxin's as he, too, joined the ranks of his 'brothers'. His eyes narrowed, a smirk plastered across his face. This would be all too easy. His tongue flashed across his top lip, before he pulled back his gums to reveal his small puppy fangs. You know we'll beat you. His icy yellow eyes flickered to the battered bird. Don't worry, You'll be next. His cold, harsh eyes then rotate back to Toxin, a fire of challenge burning within them.
Purgatory .+. Kaiya
Wouldn't Toxin be pleased, cause look who I had. I swam across the fridgid water, then Shook off, setting down an equally wet Kaiya.
My sightless eyes didn't bother me, but the scent of Toxin sent me over the edge of joy. Toxin! I shout. Oh, this was a good day! I place myself next to my 'mother', my tail wagging furiously. The sounds of the others reach my ears, and I narrow my sightless eyes in warning. Children, all so foolish. I was only two months old myself, but I'd been through a lot in my life. Gave me rights to something, right?
Toxin
Her eyes were on Onslaught when suddenly she heard the sound of Kaiya. She felt giddy, but then fearful. I stand over the bird and shift towards Kaiya as protection. With her blind sight, she would be a goner.
Penny
Penny watched the fight from under the protection of Toxin. She wanted to thank the wolf, but kept her big mouth shut.
Dulsca & Others
As Toxin took a step back, Martimoor gained the confidence to take a few enboldened steps forward. But he stopped quickly, for he needed the rest of his brotherhood with him to keep his confidence up.
Xuvan, Leopeson, and Little Tuft stepped forward with their larger brother, their hearts beginning to beat more furiously and their eyes gleaming with the look of a hunter. "I think it's time we started eating meat." Xuvan pointed out with a wicked grin, looking to Penny.
A surprised look came across Tuft's face, and he cocked his head at his brother, "But I still like momma's milk... oh..." He quickly realized Xuvan's words were meant to frighten the bird. Embarrassed, the kitten growled and planed his tiny, rounded ears to the side as he glared at Toxin, trying to use bravado to make up for his slip in words.
Leopeson hesitate when a second younger joined ranks with Toxin, but as he looked back at his 'brothers', he grew confident again. They still had the numbers. "I say we teach them a lesson!"
Black Claw finished her meal at last, her stomach bulging with milk. With a drawn-out, squeaky yawn, the sister nuzzled up against her mother's neck and let her sleepy eyes flutter close.
Onslaught
Onslaught was quick to follow Martimoor's lead. As the cubs stepped forward, he did aswell, small fangs bared and an arrogant fire burning in his eyes. He became confused as Kaiya was 'dropped off' but still maintained his confident facade. His eyes narrowed as he smirked, chuckling mercilessly. I agree, Let's get 'em! He began to pad forward, making sure his group were backing him up, before snarling. He charged forward launching himself for Toxin's neck, as instinct told him to. He could only do small damage with his tiny teeth, but he could at least draw blood and cause pain. Once we've dealt with her, we'll eat the bird!
Ghoul .+. Iota
Ghoul growled and stepped forward with all the brothers. Menacing eyes shivering within as he smiled darkly to those who faced them. As Onslaught took Toxin's neck, he ran after Iota and began to gnaw at her face and neck. Growling as dangerously as a wolf cub could growl.
The hybrid pup wasn't going to stand for this. She didn't not run but instead began a furious series of nibs and bits on the face of Ghoul. She tried to bite his eyes and nose. Then began to bite his shoulders and neck to make him flinch or move.
Ghoul cared not and continued to thrash as he grabbed a bit of skin on Iota's neck. The hybrid winced and let out a soft whimper but snarled and continued to bit at his face, grabbing a nice chunk of shink in her jaws and yanking him from her. Ghoul was pissed and began to bite at Iota's mouth, his quick movement caused Iota's teeth to penatrate his skin, letting little beads of blood collect around his cheek. But she was not unpunished: His fangs found their way to her lips and began to tear the softer tissue.
Toxin
A snarl erupted from the hybrid pups throat, and she tucked her neck and launched forth, meeting Onslaught head on. Wait....Shit the bird was unprotected. After a few quick bites, she pulled back feeling a burning sensation in her chest where small puppy fangs had slashed. She stood in front of the bird before the others could, and she said to Kaiya I want you to stay back, Kaiya. The pups hadn't realized yet that her friend was blind, and she wanted to keep it that way. The longer Kaiya stayed protected, the better off Toxin was.
Onslaught
Slashing as much of her chest as he could before she pulled away, Onslaught jumped back a few feet to size up his target once more. Licking the few drops of blood from his muzzle, the hybrid snarled as harshly as he could. One bite caught him across the face, but it didn't catch his eye, just left a few small, shallow lacerations across the right side of his face. Yeah, Kaiya stay back. You don't wanna get blood on that pretty little face of yours now do we? Jeez Toxin, It's not like she's blind, she can see we're not gonna get her...yet! Then Onslaught drove forward, aiming for Toxin's face.
Dulsca & Others
The four scrambled forward with their own little roars, as high-pitched and squeaky they may in their young age; more like yowls than anything. Martimoor leapt up and tried to snag his teeth and front claws into the shoulder and side of Toxin's neck. His hind claws were driven for her chest.
Xuvan followed Ghoul to help double-team the female. Much like his brother, the cub pounced for Iota and tried to bury all of his little claws and teeth into her skin.
Leopeson, seeing Toxin as the bigger threat, decided her as his target. He tried to wrap himself around one of her hind legs, digging his claws in and mauling at the limb.
Little Tuft, seeing that Kaiya might prove troublesome for his occupide brothers, went after her. Instead of directly leaping or pouncing on the pupl, he adopted a different tactic. Rushing at her, he reared up just slightly and swiped both paws at her face, little claws unsheathed.
Iota .+. Ghoul
Iota had been struggling before but now the fight was just unfair. She snarled devilishly and began to bite at Ghoul's face and kicked out with her hind feet at Xuvan. She could feel them tearing into her skin but she wouldn't give up, not yet. Her eyes caught Little Tuft moving from the side and yelled at Kaiya. "Kaiya!" She didn't know the pup was blind but she wasn't sure if she would catch herself in time to defend from Little Tuft.
Ghoul felt his half sister digging into his face and he continued to bite down. Grabbing at her ear and pulling back, letting small spits of blood form from where his teeth had been. She gave a hoarse growl and grabbed his muzzle and began to thrash her head. Ghoul felt some lip tear but only made him dive further onto her shoulder and neck. It was then that Iota turned and began to bite at Xuvan, hoping to grab his legs of face.
Ghoul smiled as his 'brother' helped him. Continuing a vicious assault on her shoulder, tummy and neck. He actually also started adopting some of the cats natural way to fight. Watching as the lion cubs latched around and used all of their feet. He threw his arms around Iota's neck and began to bite her neck, claw her shoulder, and kick out at her belly all at once.
.kaiya.
Pain, not across my body but deep in my heart. At those words its not like shes blind I felt my heart rip in two. It was seen as well, my tail quit wagging, my ears went down flat against my head and I bowed my dial in shame. Thats when I hear the sound of running paws, closer closer...Shit hes coming after me! With a bark I leap forward, slamming into the fray of Toxin and others, but leap out just as quick. Now what the hell is going on here? I'm trying to listen, but with so many little snarls, claws scraping across the ground, it was near impossible. To...Much....Noise...
Ynear
Ynear watched the new pup now. This was against the treaty, she knew she would be punished. Standing up she cooed to Kaiya, "Hush little child, they are having a fit. Come rest." With a soft tug she grabbed Kaiya's scruff and moved her over with her. Laying her down near her belly for the warmth. "They will be over it soon enough and you can speak with Toxin." Her eyes turned hard on the group. Wondering if this time she should break it up. They needed to get it out of their systems but they didn't need to mutilate each other to do it.
Nymph
Nymph watched the pups quarrel, and almost rose to separate them, but she looked over to Ynear, a look in her eyes that said, "Let them be a while. They've not hurt anyone badly yet." So far, the wounds were minor. If it looked like they might be about to seriously hurt one another, she would step in.
Toxin
A scream of pain welled up in her throat but was never released as she felt someone grab hold of her hind end. Then Onslaught was upon her, as well as another at her shoulder. She was swamped. She fell hard onto her side as one of the cubs pushed forward, pain shooting through her hind leg. She bit as hard as she could for the one at her shoulder, trying to grasp his ear and rip it to shreds.
Onslaught
Onslaught growled as best as he could at his young age as he continued his attack on Toxin. With Martimoor and Leopeson at his side helping him attack his 'enemy' Onslaught felt invincible. As she fell to the side, Onslaught took the oppertunity. He launched himself at her neck as Toxin attempted to grasp Martimoor's ear. His small pup teeth could only draw blood, not do anything to her vitals, but he tried to press down on her neck with his paws, as he tried to sink his teeth into her flesh.
Iota .+. Ghoul
Their little fight continued, blood beginning to sweat from their frames as they threw their own vicious snarls. Ghoul was able to throw one more attack at Iota's face, scratching deep around her eye as his hind claws swept past. Dull as they were, they still hurt. And Xuvan helped not as he tore away her side.
She held her breath, unable to move, until Ghoul was able to get her on her back and by the the throat. With a loud shrill of fear she gave mercy. She could fight no longer with them. She had failed, she hadn't ment to. But it was overwhelming with the largest of Incalia's pups and a lion on her, and she was still developing her muscles.
As Ghoul heard the cry for help he let go of the fea. Letting her scamper behind the bird. Iota would go a second round if she must, but her limits were being caressed dangerously and she knew in a fight she wouldn't last long.
The large hybrid turned now to Toxin. Eyes gleaming from under a furried brow. He would give her one chance to submit until he would continue his thrashing upon her. He knew this 'coalition' would be a gread idea, and they would be feared. His eyes burned into her screaming out his demand in a cold deathly way. Give up.
Orinoco/Penny
Orinoco approaches the battle. She noticed wolves and cats. But she also saw something familiar. A secretary bird?...It was Penny! She looked up at the bird from the water. "Penny? Is that you? Do you remember me?"
Penny lifted her head when she heard the voice. Had her friend from the zoo really come to rescue her? "Yes! Now get me out of here!" She exclaimed. "They're trying to eat me! The cats and the puppies!" She looked up at Toxin, realizing her mistake. She was told to be quiet. Se disobeyed, and she would be punished for that. Or so she thought. Unless Toxin was as merciful as she thought.
Orinoco was big and strong. At 32 years old and 10 feet long, she could take out just about anything that came her way. She climbed up onto the stone and snarled. "If anybody dares to eat the bird, he shall be eaten himself!" She snapped, showing off her large teeth.
Dima
The scarred alligator came up beside Orinoco as he raised his head up to see the bird's head over the balcony. "You know her?" He questioned casually, not getting caught up in all the commotion yet. For him, he was most concerned with the she-caimen. He couldn't help but be fascinated by her set of overlaping teeth, neatly poking out from the sides of her long jaws. Somewhat like his, but more pronounced in their appearance.
Dima felt a bit akward that Orinco was longer than him, if only it was because he was missing half his tail. He felt the instinct to protect her above all else, and he would too. Still, he had a lot of growing to do, and at the moment, Orinoco matched him pretty well in size and strength.
Toxin
She felt as if her lungs were collapsing, but still she would not give in. Pain, it was everywhere. Onslaughts grip on her throat didn't help matters, and with a snarl she turned her fangs upon him. She wasn't going to give in, she couldn't let them all win. You all cheat! You cannot fight your own battles! She tried her hardest to grip Onslaughts shoulder, but again there was barely any damage to be done with her fangs. Now with Ghoul free, she would have more upon her. She'd never...Let them win.
Even if I say
It'll be alright
Still I hear You say you want to end your life
Maybe We'll Turn it around Cause its Not to late
Its never to late
Dulsca & Others
Xuvan let loose of Iota when she conceeded to defeat. A cocky grin spread over his muzzle, but he didn't stop to celebrate for too long, "Winning number one for us." He added, looking to Ghoul. Then sights were set instantly for Toxin. Bounding across the ground, he tried to grasp the wolf's face in his front claws and bite her muzzle. Flipping onto his back, he sent his hind claws kicking for her throat.
Martimoor gave a shrill yowl when Toxin bit his ear, shredding the tip of it badly. Shaking his head, he sent droplets of blood flinging every which way before anger took him over. He went right back for her neck and shoulder.
Onslaught
He tried to tighten his grip on Toxin's throat, but it wouldn't do much good, except a small amount of blood and possibly a small amount of pressure. Still, Onslaught thought he was doing pretty well. With an arrogant smirk, he hissed at her between clenched jaws. We fight our own battles, we just choose to fight together. Makes us unbeatable, You'll learn that someday love. Toxin managed to get hold of his shoulder, and her fangs began to peirce the skin, causing blood to trickle from the wound. This only caused him to try and bite down harder in an effort to stop himself wimpering at the pain.
He practically ignored the gator, he just laughed at her, You attack us and you'll get the Shadow Haunters on your ass. Don't even bother.
Orinoco/Penny
Orinoco let out a low growl towards Onslaught. She heard Dima's voice and looked back at him. "Yeah. We lived at the zoo together." She then snapped at Onslaught. "You don't get it, underling. I am the Shadow Haunters! A member of Dima's division, to be exact. And for your sake, you'd better hold your tongue." Her teeth were built perfectly for killing and her bite was much stronger than any wolf's bite. She saw that Toxin was helping Penny. "Hold still." She said calmly, yet fiercely. She opened her enormous jaws and snapped them shut where she saw Onslaught.
Penny averted her eyes when Orinoco attempted to crush the wolf's head. "I'm sorry I got you into this!" She exclaimed. She opened her eyes and saw Dima. She was losing her strength. She knew she would die. She knew she was to be killed after the war. She didn't want to do this to all her friends. If she had stayed with the deer, both her and them would be better off. She rested her head on the ground and let tears pour from them.
Dima & Dally
Dally came soaring from the heavens, folding back his slate-blue wings as he rocketed towards the balcony. Spreading his feathered limbs, the falcon came to rest on the edge of the structure as he addressed the pack, "The stags have been defeated, and it looks as though they're rounding up the hinds and yearlings. I'm not sure why, but we'll find out soon enough." He said, for he had only flown over the terras, not spoken with Risen or the others. "Vestige is still alive, as is his entire pack. Allies from the East came to his aid, apparently. A few are wounded from our side, but no one is dead."
Dima let most of the words drift off him, not getting too wrapped up in the affairs of the Haunters yet, since he couldn't do much that far away anway. Instead, he focused on Orinoco and Penny, "Why not have Penny stay down here with us?" He said after a moment, wanting to make amends with the members, and most of all, make Orinoco happy. "She looks pretty wounded to me, I doubt she could escape if she tried. And you know Ori and I aren't going anywhere."
Nymph
The molten silver eyes had been watching everything, but finally she stood, coming forward aiming to grasp Onslaught by the scruff, using her mighty forepaws to separate the two opposing teams. As soon as she had basically separated them, she deposited Onslaught on the other end of the dias and grasped for Toxin, voice low and growling, enough to frighten most pups and kittens coming from her broad chest. That. Is. Enough. Everyone cool your heels and park your rears somewhere where I won't have to listen to you bicker. It held a tone that commanded obedience, though she was obviously large enough, with Ynear to help, to force them to behave, if she so chose.
Ynear .+. Ghoul .+. Iota
Ghoul listened and stepped toward the edge of the balcony to see Orinoco come up and bite the air. He growled dangerously. "She is a spy, she must die before she give anyone our location! And you are not the Haunters, you are a Haunter And just because you are one of us, our mothers and Mistress will not tolerate a killing within the pack." Ynear smiled at Ghoul but walked up to him and placed him of the side that Onslaught had been taken. Iota quickly left Penny and bounded toward Toxin. Pushing against her protectively, even though she was hurt, the mother's voice made her ready to defend, but scared her at the same time.
Ynear said simply. "No more fighting, You all know by now the outcome, learn by it. Penny will not be killed. Not yet." She grabbed the bird and brought her down the stairs. Walking through the flooded botton floor then placing the bird on a small ledge just above the water. It was wide enough for the bird to move around on, one foot above the surface of the water. "And gator." She looked sharply at Orinoco. "The pup is right, Risen will not tolerate a killing within the group. And I have heard the punishment is worse than death. I am only warning you, I do not want to see my co-members hurt. This bird has tresspassed and spied on us. She know's to much information to be trusted with. We will right her wrong." With that the black fea moved up the stairs once again and watched the group.
Ghoul grunted under his breath as his licked Onslaught, trying to clean his brother's wounds. He would share the bath with the cats once they came over to their side.
Tyrant then showed up. Tada! The black brute was nothing more than exhausted. His mouth bloodied from the war. "Quil!" He barked at the balcony. "Our members are hurt! One's eye has been gouged out and other lost her tail and a good chunk of her leg! The other has a broken limb." He nodded to Dima to help the deer across. The spoke to them.
"We have food for you both, when the troops arrive you will each have one whole deer to eat." His voice elevated for the rest of the pack to hear. "There will be a feast as well! Everyone is to attend! Food for everyone, we will not go hungry!" He smiled, thinking of the full bellies the pack would soon have. Only after Quilikahm came down did he lead the muntjac to the main temple. Shattered, Silver Trace, and Krypt all needed healing.
Lyric
The small came forth as Dally spoke. She didn't even think twice of landing next to the preditor. "Well done, There has been no activies here though we will have to warn Risen and the others about that one." The yellow one eyed Orinoco. " I would give her a few more chances but the others will need to be told about this. Do not trouble them until they return. The pups are safe enough right now." With that the little canary lept from the top of the balcony and flittered along to continue her watch.
Toxin
As the others were pulled off, the small hybrid staggered to a stand. Blood was dripping from minor wounds, but she made no noise. As Iota came forth, a small breath escaped her and she leaned upon the other, forcing air in and out of her lungs. She was trying her hardest not to focus on the pain, but on something else. Anything else. Kaiya was here. Yes....Her baby. It was her baby. "I want you to meet someone. She murmered to Iota. With that she walked with her head held high towards Kaiya, and sat down a soft smile in place. Iota, this is Kaiya. Shes one of my best friends. She knew Kaiya would hear them coming. She could hear everything.
Dulsca & Others
The cubs clustered together once more once the fighting was over. They were all quite satisfied with their work and felt an even greater sense of brotherhood. And in true cat fasion, Velvet and Black Claw made their way over to the group of brothers as all of the felines began to help clean eachothers wounds. The sisters may not fight along side them, but they were still loyal to the coalition.
Dulsca stood up now, stretching out slightly before walking towards the edge of the balcony and peering over it. A shallow rumble drifted through her throat as she glared down at the reptilians. She did not like the way one had tried to harm a youngers, and she would keep her eyes on their scaly hides.
Quilikahm & Dima
The little deer kept herself out of the ordeals that revolved around the group. She didn't quite like being surrounded by predators, but as long as she remained on their good side, she knew this was the safest place for her to be right now. And when Tyrant came, Quil was up in a heartbeat and scampering down the steps.
Likewise to Quil's attitude, Dima did his best to keep out of the turmoil, while still being on Ori's side. "We'll have to find a way to make your friend useful. For her sake, appease the others." He whispered gruffly to the caimen, trying to settle the matter. As Quil came down, Dima came up along side the edge of the lowest platform and allowed the deer to get on. Then he ferried her over to Tyrant.
Quil sprung off the gator and followed after the wolf.
Onslaught
The pup snarled, releasing his hold on Toxin when the croc hissed at him. He stormed towards the edge of the balcony, tiny bloodied fangs bared, his icy yellow eyes peircing into Orinoco's. Underling! How dare you! My mother leads her own division, Me and my brothers will take over from her one day, then you'll be sorry. When me and my gang are bigger, you'll wish you had swollowed your words you scaley shitbag! Then the reptiles jaws were flying at him, Onslaught lept backwards and was caught by Nymph, who carried him to the other end of the balcony. He struggled in the feline's grip, but eventually just hung there. Once he was on the ground, Onslaught started to snarl again, but didn't move to the edge of the balcony. However Ynear's comment about 'The pup is right, made him snap Hey! The pup has a name!.
He was soon joined by Ghoul, who began to lick his wounds. He sighed, mumbling to his brother. Stupid reptile, someone should teach her a lesson... Then Onslaught returned the guesture, he began to clean up Ghoul's wound, mopping up blood and trying to stem the small trickles of blood. Dulsca's growl at Orinoco made Onslaught grin, out of him and the reptile, he was the one most likely to be defended if it should come to anything. Satisfied, for now at least, the pup continued to clean his brother.
Once most of the blood was gone from Ghoul's coat, and all wounds blocked, Onslaught stood up and stretched, yawning. He beckoned to his brother, before padding over to his 'gang', a small smirk plastered on his face. We really need to do something, It's so boring in here. We should go out on an adventure, show the Valley we're the new force to be reckoned with. Do you reckon we could get out without anyone seeing?
Nymph
She sighed as she dropped Onslaught in his place, and raised her voice again, a thundering beacon to say, I beleive I said, "where I won't have to listen to your bickering". This still sounds like bickering to me. Enough. And her hard knife-silver eyes glared around at them all, voice soft and dangerous. Until you have to muscle to back up your words, keep your smart comments to yourselves. She loved little ones, but had very little tolerance for backsass, or for any small thing that did not obey.
But she shook herself off a bit and turned her eyes to Toxin, voice soft. Are you well enough, little one?
Kaiya
Quietly I set to licking Toxin. I smile in the direction of Iota, then my eyes drift towards Onslaught and the others. I can hear their every word, and I shake my head quietly. I give a false smile to Nymph, and say to her Shes fine. Iota and I, we can take care of her. I murmer softly They're planning on going on an 'adventure'. Maybe you could get out with them, Toxin. Apologize. How about you take them on a fun little adventure to see Vestige? I smile at her. She'd be better off. With her their, they have someone to take care of them.
Orinoco/Penny
Orinoco gently nudged Penny with her snout. She looked at Onslaught. "Sure. You can kill me...If you can get past my jaws!" She chuckled. "I say again, let no harm to the bird or I will personally punish you." She tried to think of something she could say to her superiors that would make them let Penny live. What was Penny good for, anyways? She was a bird of prey. Sure, there were other birds of prey here, but not many like Penny. She was a secretary bird, far larger than any average hawk. Suddenly, she hatched a plan. Penny would not leave if the Haunters feared that she would leak the plans allover the Valley. She would stay in Dima's territory and be tied up or not, and warn the gators and the others if any prisoner was about to escape. If she let a prisoner escape, however, the consequences would be great, whether she meant to or not. "Quick! Where is your Alpha?" She said urgently.
Penny quickly looked at Orinoco and cocked her head. Her gator friend was known for her intelligence. Escaping had almost completely left her mind. She was ready to accept punishment, even if it was to be death.
Toxin
At Kaiyas words, she nodded. She'd do it. If you will excuse me, miss Nymph. I must go speak with the boys. She needed to speak with the bird as well, but she'd do that in a moment. She stood and held her head up once more, and carefully hid the limp in her shoulder. Why did they always go for the shoulder? Coming upon the cubs, Onslaught, and Ghoul, a wicked grin came across her pretty little face. I know what your doing. And if you don't take me with you, I'll tell the adults. When all else failed, blackmail. She sat down, trying to relieve the pain on her shoulder but still the smirk was in place. Besides....I know a really cool place we can go. There are weak fools who live there. We could easily push them around. At three months old, she sure as hell couldn't push anyone around. But, she'd make it sound like they could. Her eyes drifted to Kaiya. All the while she spoke, she kept her voice low but she knew her friend would hear. She always seemed to.
Camarin * Hostage
Camarin came to Dima's temple, and with a moment of pause, he came forth and swam to where everyone was. In his jaws, was clamped tightly his son Hostage. The largest of the males, he set down his replica and lifted his eyes to Ynears. My mate will be here soon with our daughter. Take care of them. He backed away, but did not leave just yet. He had to wait for his mate, he was not leaving her alone once more with the Shadow Haunters.
Hostage stared at Ynear, his puppy blue eyes never leaving her. No words came from him, he made no noise as most pups should. His father had explained to him what he must do, and he would do it well. He wouldn't let his mother or father down. Nor would he ever forget them. His father had certainly ingrained that into his mind. Whatever you do, Hostage. Don't forget who your true Family is. And he wouldn't He'd remind himself everyday. Even if he lost their faces, he would never lose them. Never.
Nymph
The lioness had been watching the whispering pups suspiciously, but Camarin's arrival distracted her with ease. Curious and concerned, she trotted slowly forward, not wanting to scare either the father or the pup. Hello. I am Nymph, new to these lands, this organization. And her voice lowered, for the father's ears alone, soft and reassuring. Worry not, pad-brother. Your children will be well taken care of. I will see to them personally, care for them as if they were my own. I will see that they have all the advantages that you would give them if you could.
She had, of course, heard about the trade of the pups for the safety of the Aspen Grove pack. It came through the grapevine, like anything else when there are many creatures in the same place. She could imagine what a sacrifice it would be for them, and wanted to make it better.
She shook her head to herself. What on earth? Was she getting soft? No, no it was only for the pups. The pups were young and innocent. It was for them that she wanted everything to be okay.
Hostage
Hostage made no sound still. His eyes followed the feline, never straying from her. That is, until he saw the other pups in the corner. A funny looking hybrid especially caught his attention. She was so proud, so dignified. A dark smile crossed his lips. Yeah, he'd be just fine here. Hostage looked behind him, his puppy blue occuli looking for his mother and sister. At least he would have a member of his family with him, always.
Camarin gave a weary smile to the cat. I am Camarin. My mate, Moonpaw. She will bring my daughter. He wasn't completely reassured by her words, but they were better then nothing.
Ynear .+. Iota .+. Ghoul
Ynear walked back up to the entrance of the balcony. Watching the little Hostage and nuzzling him softly. "Outsiders think we abuse our cubs or something? We do not harm them and punishment for harming them is far worse than for harming a mature creature."She made especially sure that Orinoco heard. Then she turned her dark sensitive eyes to the farther once more. "They will be well taken care of and grow up strong and full of pride." She nodded then sat at the entrance. It would be tough to walk past her. Where her immune system lacked, her eyes were blessed, she saw much better than most wolves.
Iota smiled to Kaiya and cooed "Greetings." With that she turned as Toxin did and followed her to the males, creating a blockade for her friends right side. She would defend again, though she hoped that wouldn't have to happen.
Ghoul finished cleaning Onslaught them moved over to the feline group. With a lazy incline, he peered over his shoulder at Toxin. Her words intrigued him but to him, she was an enemy. "Who invited you?" Lowering his head to the group he whispered to them. "She tempts us for death, she would like to see us rot. Should we go along with it?" Again his head poped up and he glanced at her. "I would love to go on an adventure guys but if you haven't noticed, miss over sized lizard down there would like to chomp us in half. How would you expect to get past the grown ups, and the lizards?" He had yet to know they were aligators and not lizards. He also did not realize that Lyric would easily spot and trail them if they did leave.
It was then that his eyes flickered to Hostage and he lifted his head higher... it was another male, he wondered if he would be good enough for their little coalition. "Hey! What's your name?" Making his way past the females he moved up to the little one, sniffing him and wagging his tail slightly. "You don't seem... that old..." He paused with the blunt statement. Looking over to his mixed brother hood then back to the pup.
Hostage * Toxin * Camarin
Camarin gave a wan smile to the female, and said to her, They're my first pups. A fathers instincts. He looked bone weary, ready to drop but still the Dark Guardian would not fall. Besides, his sisters were in town. What brother wouldn't be happy about that?
Hostage turned those puppy blue eyes towards Ghoul, and they narrowed on him darkly. This wasn't family. His hackles raised ever so slightly at the other males slight show of dominance. Hostage. Short, clipped and direct. He was no fool, and he wasn't going to be pushed around. He then turned his eyes to Toxin, who seemed to have eyes of flame. A dark smile crossed his face. Whose she? Toxins eyes narrowed on him, and she growled. In that growl was something dark, somethingstrong and powerful.
She came forth, her eyes like flame. Thats because he is young. Hostage turned his own flaming eyes upon her, and a dark eye brow raised. He made no noise though. There was no reason to. Not yet. But those eyes, those intense eyes were on hers, but still the female didn't back down. Looks like somebodys bleeding. Couldn't mind your superiors? His voice was like his fathers already, dark and seductive with a hint of something more menacing. He had only a seconds warning before the hybrid suddenly leapt forth, her jaws wide. Immediatly the smaller male was pinned beneath her, and a slashing of fangs across his muzzle let him know that he had hit a serious sore spot on the female. When she leapt back before Ghoul and the others could attack her, he stood. Slowly and calmly but he stood. Watch it puppet. You don't want to become the lizards dinner. He saw something flicker in her eyes, but he didn't care. Sometimes, subordinates needed to be put into place.
Camarin watched as the older and stronger Toxin leapt upon his son, and he stood to retrieve him but just as quickly she was off and away. Hearing his sons words, the male shook his head. Have fun. He said in a soft voice to Nymph and Ynear.
Onslaught
Onslaught ignored the reptiles second comment, what a waste of skin...or rather, scales. It was when Toxin came over that the pup became irritated. His metallic fur bristled as his icy yellow eyes narrowed. He snorted as she suggested pushing around weak fools. Why travel all that way when we have a fool standing right in front of us. Why are you so eager to help all of a sudden? The Iota came over and a small growl started in the back of his throat, What the..! but Ghoul finished off what he was thinking. Falling silent, Onslaught's ears swivelled to catch his brother's words. Onslaught spoke in a whispering hiss that could only be heard by the cubs and Ghoul, I don't trust her, a few minutes ago she was fighting with us, somethings not right... To Ghoul's outloud words, the hybrid looked up, trying to think about a plan, but found nothing. Casting his eyes back to the gathered group, Onslaught gave a small nod. Your right, maybe.. but he was cut off as his brother spotted Hostage. An intimidating smirk latched itself to Onslaughts jaws as the pup padded up next to his brother. Onslaught began to circle Hostage like a predator does prey, looking over the smaller canine as if assessing him. His eyes met Ghouls as if to say, "Do you think he's good enough?" They all had the same question in their minds, could Hostage join their coalition?
It was Hostage's attitude that made Onslaught smirk, and he chuckled. Got a tongue on him hasn't he? Although himself, Ghoul and the cubs weren't much older, Onslaught still considered himself to be 'supirior' to the newest addition to the Haunters. The question however took him by surprise. His eyes followed Hostage's to Toxin. A low growl rumbled from the pup. That is.. but it came over. Onslaught grimaced, pacing back round to Ghoul's side. The words thrown between them were not interupted, and Toxins attack on Hostage was too quick for any of the brotherhood to step in. When she had retreated, Onslaught came alongside Hostage, his peircing yellow eyes narrowed harshly, fangs just peaking out from under his gums. Back off bitch, or we'll damage your other shoulder. His eyes were locked with Toxins in arrogant dominance and without turning his head, Onslaught spoke to Hostage. I'm Onslaught. This is my brother Ghoul, The cubs are Martimoor, Xuvan, Leopeson and Little Tuft. You might have what it takes to join our brotherhood, Hostage. What do you say? Do you want to be feared, the pup looked around at his 'gang, or pathetic. The cold eyes flashed towards Toxin, Iota and Kaiya.
His eyes then glanced to each individual group member, seeking their opinion on the matter.
Orinoco/Penny
The caiman smirked. "You say one will be punished for harming another?" She said firmly. "Yet, you threaten to kill this poor bird! What does that say about you? Hypocrites don't get much respect in the real world." She stood strong, lifting herself up off the ground using her short legs. She let out a low hiss to let everyone know that she would not let anyone get away with killing an innocent animal.
Ynear .+. Iota .+. Ghoul
Ynear watched the first quarrel and stepped but, but just as fast Toxin left him alone. She growled slightly then looked down to he bird. "She is not one of us! She is a spy. If a Haunter harms a Haunter. The offensive Haunter will be punished. If a spy comes in and threatens the lives of all the Haunters. They will be distroyed, unless the bird wishes us no harm, but you know very well she wishes for our demise!" She was growing quite agitated with the stupid bird. The sky animal would head back to her little heard and try and stir up trouble.
Iota growled at Hostage now, wondering if she was to be against or for him. But at her friends display, she felt she was to be again. Turning to the little 'coalition' she growled deeply, turning her eyes to the new one. Would he join the brats side?
Ghoul smiled at his brother's words. Then turned to the little Hostage once again. "Pathetic is an understatement." He laughed. Waiting for the pup to answer.
Orinoco/Penny
Orinoco growled. "So what makes you think that Penny wants you dead?!" She snapped, displaying her sharp teeth. "It is you who has caused all the trouble! Penny was only protecting her family! You attacked her family anyways. Now what family does she have? Only a bunch of murderers!" She looked back at Dima. She didn't want to let him down, but she was beginning to think that she wouldn't like it here, after all. She turned her enormous head back to Ynear. "I will speak with your Alpha. I will see that this bird is released, even if I die trying." Raging fire could be seen in her golden eyes.
Penny stayed still. She had a feeling that she was about to be killed. But she did not doubt Orinoco. Her caiman friend was stronger than a wolf, yet extremely wise. She rested her head on the cold stone, thinking of what could happen to her or her friends.
Ynear .+. Lyric
Ynear's snarls raged on. "She would have been better off not coming here! And if we let her go she'd onl..." Her mouth had been caught by suprise as the yellow front canary fluttered up and landed on her angry snout. Ynear stared at the bird, snarling as Lyric. Lyric did nothing, not even looking back at the wolf. She spoke clearly and sternly to Orinoco, warning her before she threw herself in anymore trouble. "Listen gator, I know you love your friend, but your friend could have gotten everyone here killed. Not only would the entire pack be killed, the deer would have come here as well. There were 25 stags that had attacked our pack, 12 of them survive. They are potential enemies that wish for our downfall. But I warn you this. If you think Ynear is being rough on you, Risen will be much worse. The Mistress does not listen to reason, especially if it places her pack into any sort of trouble. I will speak with Tyrant and he may be able to work out a deal for the birds freedom." She gave an emotionless glance to Penny, not caring whether she lived or died. "He will compromise to let her live, to release her under the condition that she does not return to the herd of deer. We will have patrols and if she is spotted there she will be killed instantly. If she leaves the herd alone, as well as the rest of the pack she may live. Will that make things any easier. At least she will leave with her life." Her tones had been more educational and filled with reasoning than anyone had tried before. She knew Risen would have the bird killed if the were to return to the herd.
Orinoco/Penny
Orinoco snarled. "How dare you! I am not a gator and I refuse to be treated as one! I am a Yacare Caiman! Yacare Caiman! Get it right!" She snapped her jaws and glared at the tiny creature. "I could eat you alive if I wanted to! And what makes you think that the deer would come here? You holding her captive only makes them more likely to kill you!" Gently picking Penny up, she slid down into the water. She held her head high, protecting the bird from drowning. She made her way over to where Dima was, growling at the murderers.
Penny held her head high so as to not let it touch the water. She needed treatment if she was to walk again.
Nymph
The black princess rolled her eyes lazily, snarling a little to herself. For heaven's sake...
Finally, she rose from her place and came up beside the fighting parties, voice soft and dangerous. You're worse than the children! If you're going to have a fight then take it where the pups and I will not have to watch. You are trying to reassure a new father that his pups will remain unharmed and here you are threatening to tear one another's throats out. That is neither decent nor sensible. Her silver eyes were watching both parties, for though she was being slightly disrespectful to both, she was not stupid. If either attacked, she would be ready.
Moonpaw * Snowfall
Moonpaw arrived at the temple, Snowfall in her jaws. She sidled up to Camarin and settled the femme next to her brother. She scooted closer to Camarin, for the Haunters scared her. A lot.
Snowfall kept her eyes squeezed shut as her mother had said. The scary wolves smelled horrible and she knew she'd have a hard life. Someday, she may make it back to her parents.
Orinoco/Penny
Penny squawked when she saw Moonpaw arrive. She couldn't recall ever meeting this one. But she seemed troubled. She closed her eyes and let tear run from them. She was hopeless. If she could convince Orinoco to take her away, that might work. But then she would put everyone's lives in danger. Her legs were badly injured and may have to be amputated if they did not receive treatment. Then she would suffer and die.
Orinoco looked at Ynear. "I need to get help for my friend. Call a healer." She said in a low growl.
Ynear .+. Silver Trace .+. Shattered .+. Iota .+. Ghoul
Ynear winced at Nymph, then backed up the stairs as Lyric made her way to the temple. Tyrant was busy with an unknown male and wouldn't be able to wander far until Risen returned. But she could get someone to take Penny to the healer.
Ynear enforced the fall even as Lyric left. "Send someone to fetch an ailling bird." Her calls drifted to the main temple and after moments two figures came over the horizon.
Nearing, the two were injured warriors: Silver Trace and Shattered. Both made their way up to the water quickly. Silver had lost most of her tail and was favoring her hind right leg for there was a huge gash in it from the deer. Shattered came with clenched eyes. Her left eye squinting but her right eye was covered in an herbal bandage. Her face had been gored with many lacerations, and with every step she flinched in pain.
Shattered made it to the water and began to sniff it, then drank it like the healer told her to do. Her satin fur more dull than usual with dry blood caked in it. Silver Trace had made one of the most kills, but it wasn't until after she was wounded that she had made her kills. Silver Trace drank her fair share of water as well then looked up to the bird. Her eyes were soft. She had not been around Ynear and the group, and was slightly older than her niece.
Moving up gently to the bird and Caiman. Lowering her head gently to them. "I pose no threat to your friend, I will take her to the healer. She is in the temple treating the others wounds." She stayed back, unwavering eyes held on the duo. Waiting for the Caiman to accept that she was more friend than foe, for Silver was one of the nicer haunters, as was Shattered.
Shattered kept her head low, peeking out from her left eye. She was loosing depth perception and fast. Everything seemed to be in just a drawing. She didn't like the way it looked and began to panic. Her tail shot between her legs and she began to back up until she hit a rock and sat next to it. Making sure the world would not come at her like hungry fangs.
Off on the balcony, the little pups quarreled. Iota turned around and saw Snowfall and began to yip for her to stay away from the boys. Then turned back as Ghoul began to walk over to the other she-wolf. "Well well, another on 'their' side aye?" He continue to walk around her then slowly made his way back to Hostage without saying a word.
Orinoco/Penny
Orinoco moved closer to Silver Trace and watched for a moment. When she was sure that the canine meant no harm, she slid onto the stone and set Penny down in a dry spot. "Don't let any harm come to her. If you mean no harm to her, she means no harm to you and your pack." She said, then squinted at Penny. "The bird has learned her lesson."
Penny glanced at Silver Trace fearfully, then looked into Orinoco's eyes.
"She only means to help you. Do not cause trouble or you will be punished." Orinoco said softly, then looked at Silver again. "Shall I carry the bird or will you take her?"
Silver Trace .+. Shattered
Silver trace was unsure how to pick up the bird with no harm then called Shattered over. "We will take her, no worries." She said calmly, as a mother telling her frightened child everything would be alright. As Shattered neared, Silver had her lay down and pushed Penny onto her back, Grabbing her tail gently yet firmly to balance her out for the ride. Slowly, Shattered rose and they made their way back to the temple.
Orinoco/Penny
Orinoco was once again calm. These canines seemed like some of the nicer Haunters. "Thank you for showing mercy for my sinful friend." She said softly, watching them leave.
Penny kept her eyes on Orinoco, until she was out of sight. She sighed and looked ahead, waiting for more punishment.
Dima & Dally
Dima's tail arched up and he flared out his throat and back, making himself look larger as Orinoco came towards him. He was loyal to the Haunters, but he was loyal to the caimen as well, and would protect her first if worst came to worst. But as the debate reached its climax, the opposing sides gave in, and a compromise was made. Dima watched with unblinking eyes as Penny was taken off to be healed. He began to relax once more.
Dally shifted about on the balcony above, taking more interest in the matters dealing with Penny. He gave Lyric a curious side-glance, but knew better than to harm the tiny bird. Finally, he swiveled his head around and looked to Ynear, "When she is able to fly again, I can help keep a watch on her. She may be larger, but there is no one faster than me."
Dima looked upwards, rumbling slightly but not opening his mouth to speak.
Villain .+. Razor .+. Others
Two warriors once again descended into the temple area for the water reptillains. One of them was the friendly Villain who had invited the duo for the home. In return for their protection, even though he had not been there for the bickering, he walked up to the side of the water with a rather large stag in his jaws. Slowly he entered the water with the prey and lowered it down. Followed by Razor who had an equally large stag in his jaws.
Villain smiled and wagged his tail. Eyes flashing, "There is food for everyone! You will be able to feed on these for the week!" He smild and wagged his tail. The hunt was a success.
Razor moved over and barked at the group on the balcony, "Come, pups shall get their first meat! All are to feast tonight!" Villain watched the two, "I hope you enjoy. We worked hard for this meal." He nodded.
Ynear gave a sigh of relief as the pups would be watchable by the rest of the pack. "Come children, you shall have your first tastes of meat." She smiled to the growing cubs.
Iota turned around and yipped, she had wanted to taste meat, all she knew was her mother's milk. It was the same for Ghoul and the sound of meat diminished the thought of escape. Quickly he filed toward the stairs and made his way to the waters edge. Iota followed eagerly, looking back to Toxin. Wagging her tail to Toxin and Kaiya. The pups were growing now a few months old and considerably bigger.
Ynear kept her eyes on Orinoco, the fea would have to prove herself by letting the pups cross without a glance before she trusted her again. Razor quickly picked up the uncomfortable looks of Ynear and helped to keep a eye out as Iota and Ghoul lept into the water to swim across. Villain was to be the escort and lead the pups to the Temple. Ynear would take up the tail end as the other mothers would escort the middle sections.
Moonpaw * Snowfall
Moonpaw leaned down to Snofall's ear. "Never forget that I am your mother and he is your father. And ALWAYS stay close to your brother." Snowfall nodded and opened her eyes. Moonpaw dismissed her with a nod and Snowfall leapt up, but waited for her brother.
Hostage * Toxin
Camarin nuzzled his mate then sent a wan smile to Nymph. With that he murmered Come on. Then he loped away, hitting the water at a run, and swam back to the other side. He gave his son and daughter one last look before heading back to the packlands.
Hostage merely glanced at Ghoul, then his eyes drifted to his sister. The male heaved a heavy sigh, and he said to the others My choice remains with my sister. Whomevers side she chooses is where I shall go. But in his eyes you could see that he wasn't happy about it. They seemed dark and brooding, and he stood. Come with me, Snowfall. Then he followed the others up to the Temple, his tail held loose and casual.
Toxin smiled at Iota, but turned and ran towards Kaiya. Come on! Lightly she tugged on her friends scruff then tore after Iota, but halted to make sure the other was coming.
Kaiya
As Toxin grabs my scruff and tugs, I giggle and follow. I glance in the direction of Camarin, then turn back towards the others and follow, closely to Toxin as she leads me.
Onslaught
Onslaught was close on the heels of Ghoul, snapping at Iota if she got close, but otherwise silent.
Kaiya
As Toxin grabs my scruff and tugs, I giggle and follow. I glance in the direction of Camarin, then turn back towards the others and follow, closely to Toxin as she leads me.
Dulsca & Others
Lioness and tigress followed behind the mass of youngsters, helping to keep an eye on the group as they made for the main Temple.
Martimoor and the brothers stuck close to Ghoul and Onslaught, though held some disdain for the water. Their regaurds for Hostage were iffy, given the brother's reply about staying with his sister. But the younger pup hadn't outright said anything against them yet, so the cubs didn't label him an enemy yet.
Moonpaw * Snowfall
Moonpaw leapt into the water after her mate, a bit dazed. She swam slowly, her muscle coordination not working properly.
Snowfall huddled close to her brother and followed him to the Temple of the Haunted.
Orinoco
Orinoco watched Ynear as the pups went past. She then turned to the meat and began eating. It was hard to enjoy it knowing that her friend could be dying in the temple. She ripped chunks of flesh off of the deer and swallowed them. It had been a while since she had last eaten and the water was warming up now.
Ynear
Ynear watched as the last of the group filed out then lept in the water and swam to the other side. Razor nodded his head when she came up and they trotted off to the temple.
