Quilikakm & Others

Quilikham had been dutiful in making sure Momo had enough to eat during her pregnancy, going so far as to collect berries and the occasional fruit to offer the mother to ensure her growing pups would have the best chance at developing normally. Even Tersek had been diligent in ordering frequent hunting expeditions to supply Momo with fresh meats. He may not agree with the decision to let her bear offspring, but a loyal Haunter to his core, he would ensure even the lowest Haunter on the totem pole was fed and cared for.

In the days approaching Momo's expected due date, she'd been encouraged to stay in the Basement more often than not, which meant Quilikahm was one of the few visitors that she would regularly see. Today, the little muntjac was bringing in a salmon that Zanarah had recently caught. The fish was a struggle for such a tiny cervid, but she managed to drag the slimy meal down the winding steps and over towards Momo.

"A gift from Zana." She said after dropping the tail end of the creature. "How are you holding up? Do you expect the pups today?"

Momo

Momo was nervous, even though she has been helping with the current young the closer her due date came the more nervous she became. She wasn't sure it if was nervousness to proof she could make healthy young or just because it was in fact her first litter. She sniffed at the fish but she didn't feel hungry. i think they want outShe said as she got up and paced. Her shoulder had healed from her fathers attack.

About an hour later three pups were born.2 Females and 1 male. None of them missing legs nothing. As there were no teeth currently she didn't notice anything odd about them. They all seemed healthy and she just laid down and grabbed that fish from earlier.

"Did she hath the pups yet?" Starbane's voice, slightly slurred with his misaligned jaws, called out curiously from the opposite end of the Basement. The patter of his giant paws followed next as the growing cub padded in Momo's direction.

A second pair of equally large paws followed as Narimbi stalked alongside her brother, round ears perked and crystal blue eyes curiously seeking the form of the wolf and her new young. "I think so." The young feline mewed back, now catching the scent of the newborns.

A third patter of soft feline paws echoed through the darkness, as now Oracle descended into the Basement. The adolescent was almost too big now to be considered a cub, but not yet full grown or experienced enough to be ranked as a Warrior or any other role. That allowed her to roam the basement as she pleased, despite Quilikahm's disapproval. "New pups, huh?"

"Not too close." Quilikahm intervened with a sharp bark. The little muntjac scurried in front of the trio, boldly placing herself in front of the three predators that were already larger than her, despite their young ages. "She needs rest. You can see them later, once Momo has rested." Hoping that they'd actually listen to her, Quil then scurried over to Momo to inspect the young whelps. "How are they doing? And you?" At first glance, the three new little bundles looked happy and healthy to her. "Your father will want to know how they are soon."

Momo

Momo slightly growls at the sound of larger paws coming. Her true maternal instincts kicking in as she covered her three lightly with her body. Sure she knew no one here was a threat as of irght now but. Her ears go back and then she snorts.we are fine and he just wants to know if their deformed so he can wait. She growled in retort. Learning some patience will do him well

Melinu sat in a corner. The white mix looked entirely mixed but when his mane grew in there be some cream to it. Give her room geezehe mumbled.

Teri looks very much like the tiger, but with an exceptionally long tail and slightly shorter limbs. She has the grace and agility of the snow leopard, and pronounced leaping strength. Her coloration is slate-blue on top, and paler gray down along her belly and lower limbs. She also has a white 'mask' over her face, and bold, black striping elsewhere. Golden-yellow eyes.. She is sleeping next to her brother ignoring everything.

Dutch Only a little smaller than his brother, this male is shorter in the limbs, and has a broader face and skull. He has a rich orange-tan coat with bold black stripes that fade into rosettes along his legs. Sparse black mane. Rich, sunny-yellow eyes. The young male yawns from his spot and gets up.When will we be old enough to do more then gawk at the others having pups and cubs?he growled.

Abigal looks more like the lion, and has the long, sharply angled skull and muzzle of her grandfather Sundown. Her coat is deep tan with a hint of ruddy-orange along the sides that fades abruptly into white along her belly. She has faint spotting and rosettes across most of her body, with darker stripes along her cheeks and back. rolls her eyes at her brother Your so impatient to grow up

Nerogi has the same dark tan coloration of his father and looks strongly like the African lion, with dense muscling and a long, powerful tail. His mane isn't as full as his father's, but it is a dark mahogany on top, fading to a blonde-yellow on the bottom. He has a few faint brown rosettes on his haunches, and blue-gray eyes. He gets up and moves closer. can't we go explore somewhere?He questions

Korra is long-bodied and tall in the legs, with decent musculature. She has a slightly elongated face that looks very lion-like, with cloud-gray eyes. Her coat is mostly pale beige with a hint of silvering in it, especially along her back and shoulders. She has dark brown striping along most of her body aside from her limbs, and a white chin and underbelly. Yah yah can we can we?She asks

Maelertech yawns.Im tired of being a cub, im an adolscent isn't it time for e and my sister to leave down here and start learning?He said stretching.

"Fortunately, he's not allowed down here unless there's an emergency" Quilikahm answered confidently, knowing that the old Haunter held fast to all the rules of their pack, including that one. "I can at least report to him that they appear healthy and well formed right now. We'll give them a few more days, then I suspect he'll want them brought up. But, for now, rest." Her dark eyes switched to the horde of cubs, some of which had gathered closer to her and Momo. "Leave her be, or I'll have to call for Zanarah."

Oracle rolled her eyes at the muntjac, but didn't press her luck any further. The ligeress swiveled around and gazed at the rest of the youngster milling about the basement, hearing their complaints. "If you guys are bored, I can take you on a walk around the Ruins. I know of some cool places. I mean, if they aren't going to take us out to train for hunting and fighting, we might as well do it ourselves, right?"

Narimbi perked up, immediately losing interest in the pups. "I wanna go!" Starbane was nodding eagerly beside his sister, eyes fixated on the elder Oracle.

Momo He can know they are alive and healthy but he doesn't need to know anything about what they look like. I will not be moving my pups till they are old enough to be moved not even for him to see them. No my instincts call for me to keep them hidden and safe and wolf laws are much like Haunter laws, The mother and one or two others are allowed down in the den while the pups are blind and helpless. As he only cares to know they aren't deformed I see no reason for him to see them She said calmly. No her father could wait and there as no reason to move them when they would be blind and helpless for the next few weeks. She would only bring them up when they were strong and old enough to wander and play not before Her father couldn't make her and if he tried to come see them she would make it well known he was not one of the welcomed ones.

Melinu got up and moved to Oracle and Maelertech now.yah yah lets go!he said.

Teri joined them so didn't all the others.

With one ear swiveled towards the pack of young felines, the rest of Quil's attention was on the new mother and her brood. "I agree with your sentiments there, and perhaps I can convince him with words alone that the pups are well." At the very least, her words and advice were generally trusted Tersek and the others, and she hoped that might have some sway in keeping Tersek from demanding such an early view of the whelps. "As long as they continue to grow normally, I have no bad news to give your father." Quilikahm took a few steps back now, "Let me know when you are ready for more food, and I'll have one of the Warriors bring in something fresh."

Oracle, seeing that she had the attention of the others, smiled to herself and nodded to the winding staircase that led up and out of the Basement. "Follow me then, and don't all go scattering. I'm not responsible if anyone gets lost or hurt." The young ligeress shot a mischievous glance at her brother before bounding through the swarm of young cats and up the stairs.

Narimbi and Starbane eagerly bounded after.

Momo

She sighs as Quil doesn't argue it.Even if you don't convince I have no intentions of moving them till they are ready to be moving around on their own and he only needs to know they are healthy nothing more. He can take it to mean what ever he wantsShe said and then nodded as she turned to finishing the food she was given.
