Lokk
It had been a crow which set Lokk free, much to the ebony bird's unknowing. Where Tia had failed to repay the creature back, Lokk had helped out. But that mattered no more; he was free at last! Free from the confines of the Wolf Center.
But, now free, what to do? Shelter, first and for most. A home. Not sure if he was up to pack life yet, Lokk settled on a temporary home at the Ruins, where he saw there were ample places to hide and be protected from weather. Not only that, but the scent of humans, even the slightest little spore, couldn't be detected here. Satisfied that he had found a place to stay, if only for a short while, Lokk now concentrated on finding food. None of that chunked up meat the humans gave him; fresh, wild, real food was what he was after.
Fawn
Tawny looking creature filed into the land. Her head was low and eyes set only a short ways forth her own movements. If one were to scent her, a wolf could be smelt, and if one knew the dingo, that could be smelt as well. She had been named by her caretaker, Void. Brought up to be emotionless, her jouneries hendered her spirit, her life, her pride. She was completely empty. One may say she had no soul, at least, her eyes held no soul no life. Nothing was seen through those deep hazy orbs. Not even the "creater" theirself. She was just a limp twig swinging from what life a dying tree had.
Slightly oversized auds caught a sound, but what sound? It sounded like feet, not of the hooved animals, not of the rodent animals. No, it sounded canine, maybe. Coins flicked up to find Lokk wondering about. Her mind could have cared less, but the little life inside her heart strove for some attention, she had been alone for so long. No one to talk to, no one to care. The pup inside of her was tied to a wall, crying for help but none could see the poor creature for it was now mute. Only a shadow, maybe that part of her life was a dream, a figment of her imagination. The time when she felt she could be free to do as she pleased without feeling rejection. The darkness inside grew now, keeping her true feelings, all of her emotions, at bay.
With no feelins propelling the words, she spoke to the dumbfounded looking wolf, " You lost boy?" Her eyes gave no warmth, as if she didn't care at all if he responded, or even what he responded with. who care's was the only thing the darkness inside her body was telling her, it told her to leave him, but her feet felt planted so she stayed and waited for the wolf's responce.
Lokk
Lokk took notice of the dingo after her own footfall betrayed her presence to him. As if pretending not to notice her, he waited until she drew close before he turned his orbs her direction. A friendly smile was offered at her words, although he sensed the gesture most likely wouldn't be returned. "Lost? Perhaps, in the sense that I don't know where I am, for I've never been here before. But then again, I don't have any destination in mind or place to call 'home'." Maybe a bit lengthy of an anwser for a stranger, but Lokk was simply happy to be free of his previous confinement, and so felt more prone to express himself.
With the smile still tugging faintly at his age-hardened muzzle, the wolf ventured more words, "It's been an awfully long time since anyone has called me 'boy'." Lokk's voice was pleasant as every, his eyes slightly narrowed again rays of sun that filtered down against them through the swaying canopy above. He was rather adept at judging character, but he himself was a difficult one to read for most others. As for Fawn, he thought he saw something in her; in those eyes, in her posture, in her voice.
Fawn
She stared for a bit then blinked her golden flints as the image of a younger wolf morphed into what seemed to be an older one. The true image of Lokk, but how could she mistake him for being such a young creature to what he is now? Maybe the puppy inside of her was changing his form to fit what she thought was approprate, or maybe it was just looking for a playmate. But she needed no playmate. She didn't believe in playing, well not this side of her.
Her outer apperance only showed slight confusion at why she thought he was so young. But the shocked look quickly faded and she stared with her empty eyes to his forehead. " Do you have any idea of what kind of life you are looking for? For one who is lost in life is lost at heart, but you don't look so lost at heart, there must be some destination you are planning." Larger auds flicked back a bit and she tilted her tiny cranium.
"Perhaps you are hungry maybe? Does the thought of a hunt seem to get your heart to race?"
A heart? How could Fawn talk about a heart when hers had been smothered for so long, even if she was starving, the word 'hunt' could not get the tiny thing to beat fast enough for her to hear its cry.
"However, If you are looking for direction in your life, Try seeking a wolf or other creature with wisedom, not one who aims for nothing as they walk around." She turned, tawny hind end facing him. " If it is a hunt you wish, I offer my assistance, only if you wish. Stance held firm and she waited for the wolf to reply.
Lokk
He stood quietly, his own glistening orbs looking ahead unwaveringly as she spoke. "I know what life I'm not looking for." Lokk commented after a thoughtful moment, reflecting briefly at his captivity with the humans. Confined, caged, without freedom; definitely not the idea he had in mind, although it was a learning experience he wouldn't soon forget. "For now, I'm merely enjoying a new freedom, and I'll embrace my destiny when it comes." He answered next, being one with a very external locust of control; or, in other words, Fate.
The talk of hunting interested Lokk more than his placid, easy-going expression let on. There was a slight flicker to his smile, making it look more like a grin before it subsided. "I'd like a hunt, sure. It's been a few months, but spring is a great time to find prey." What better a way to celebrate new freedom?
Fawn
What was this? New freedom... Where had he been before that there was no feedom. The only freedom she lacked, was the freedom to be herself, her old self, the life loving self a lot should still have. Did she ask what he ment, no. Should she? She didn't care.
Tiara nodded as he agreed to go on a hunt, however he didn't make the mark to move. She stared blankly, no smile, though the pup inside wanted to smile back as he grinned. Why, why was she like this? why couldn't she change back, it would be like starting a fire with wet wood and no gas. Plausable but not possible.
This time her words didn't sound forced, they flowed like water, a spring creek maybe, one newly filled with melted snow. "So are we coming? And where would you like to hunt? Mountain side? Meadow, Forest, Plains? Your meal, your choice." What was this... life... there was a glimmer of life in her eyes as she spoke. How sad, the glimmer fadded only moment after it appeared, but it was there. hidden deep, and still consumed in the pain of her life.
She still held still, she was one who could stand still for hours and not fidgit, sway, or tire. She just stood, wondering where she was going next, or did she?
Lokk
Lokk's own facade remained pleasant and unwavering, his eyes quietly reading what information he could attain from his newest accquaintance. Then his head turned to the side, his muzzle tipped up just a touch as he tested the breeze. "I haven't been here long, but a forest is a forest, and it ought to have decent food during this season."
After analyzing the invible information carried on the breeze, the wolf turned his gaze back to Fawn. "Know a good forested area to hunt?"
Fawn
Hybrid looked up a bit then turned in the direction of the Spinulose Bog. Darkness wrapped around her legs and drew her toward the destination. Only a cold breath came forth " This way." It seemed to creek like cemetary gates. then she kept on her way to the forest.
"Be careful," She called back to him, darkness from her mouth once again. "there are things out there that want you dead. Even if they don't know you." She ended her warning, and she was out of the land.
