Cavan
The wolf sauntered in with a young human child on his back. He had just stolen her from a pack land where she was being raised by the wolves and felines there. "I sure hope Niavo doesn't mind you, human." Cavan began, speaking in almost an annoyed tone to the child as he picked his way along the shambles. "We'll raise you and learn what you humans are all about. You'll teach us things. About fire and guns." He was a bit nieve, for he didn't realize how slowly humans grew in comparison to wolves. And that knowledge of fire and technowledgy was not an instinct, but something learned by living with other humans.
Cavan finally selected a spot to stop, near a large block of granite that had another ledge of stone sticking out above it. A good shelter against the wind. He sat down abruptly and shook his pelt, trying to dislodge Callie from his back.
Callie
Callie giggled a bit, listening to the strange noises Cavan made. Her eyes looked about in awe at the new surroundings, and she felt more at home around these odd formation. Then, rather suddenly, she fell back as Cavan sat down.
"Ooof! Owww! Hey!" The youngster complained, picking herself up and clumsily brushing herself off. Then she squinted up her face and pointed a finger at Cavan, "Not nice! Not nice to me!" But all at once her face revealed a toothy-smile. "It's ok!" Callie giggled again and plopped down with crossed legs. "I'm hungry." The child switched from one thing to another rather fast.
Aaka*Hidden Betrayal
Silently the white alphess appeared. She watched Callie and came closer her head cocked to the side curiosity obvious. "I have never seen them small....Even when i was living with them it was always men not.....Small ones." She sniffed Callie cautiously then looked at Cavan, "Where did you gind her?"
Hidden Betrayal also appeared and showed up beside Cavan ignoring the young girl and Aaka. "Wheres Tupit?"She demanded. The small sickly wolf pup was her only friend and he wasnt even there....
Cavan
Cavan was startled at their approach, for the child made him feel oddly vulerable. Standing up quickly, he spoke, "I stole her from a pack to the north. The... uh... oh, the Avalanche Grove." He responded, thinking for a moment before the name came to him. Then he became a bit defensive, for he didn't want to loose this child, "There's another one there if you want. A little male. He's looking pretty thin now, too. Not much strength to harm anyone." Cavan still belived, at their young ages, they were capable of great power.
"Tupit?" Cavan repeated, looking to the ground a moment, feeling a twinge of guilt for his son that he didn't do anything for, "My sister has him at the moment. Check the Breve Ridges. But I'd suggest that you," Cavan nodded to Aaka, "Not go. Nachi... she doesn't like other wolves much, especially females. But she'll tolerate ones of younger ages. And you," he looked back to Hidden Betrayal, "Carry the pack scent that Tupit does, so Nachi will believe you."
Niavo
The black-colored hybrid returned to the Ruins, quickly picking out Cavan's scent. He was curious and very surprised to see a human child and two strange wolves here. Approaching warily, he spoke to Cavan, "Ankh is our newest member. He should be here any moment. And... what... what's that?" He questioned, looking blankly at the child. He knew of course what Callie was, but he was wondering why she was here.
"Can I help you two?" Niavo spoke again, turning towards Aaka and Hidden now.
Ankh
A small black hybrid came sauntering after Niavo and stopped near him and Cavan. "Er... I thought only the Cavan fellow was in the pack...?" He looked questioningly from Niavo to Aaka and Hidden Betrayal. Then noticing Callie, his eyes widened, "And a human pup? Interesting... what's it's name?"
Cavan
Cavan nodded, 'Yeah, it's just me. These two... Hidden and..." Cavan trailed off, unable to recal Aaka's name at the moment. "...they were just asking me some questions, that's all." He went on, trying to keep everything nuetral. "And I found this human pup out by the White River Mountains; seems she was part of a wolf and cat pack up there. I thought she could teach us things and make us stronger against her own kind. And," He attention turned from Ankh and Niavo to Callie, "I have no clue what her name is. Funny how humans can't talk, isn't it?"
Ankh
He glanced at the two femmes, 'Nice to meet you." Then he turned to the child and stepped closer, sniffing at her. "Well, she needs a name then, if she's staying with us. How about..." The jet-black canine pauses for a long moment before offering a name, "Rousseau?"
Cavan
He furrows his brows and looks strangely at Ankh, "What the heck kind of name is Rousseau? But, well.... sounds good to me, I guess. A bit strange though." He looks down at the child, "Hear that? Your name's Rousseau. Pah, what am I saying? You can't understand a blasted thing I'm saying, can you?" Cavan snorts and turns away from the child.
Ankh
He frowned and quickly looked to the ground, a little embarrassed, "It's, er... a human name. I heard it in the Alleys, where I use to live." The small hybrid explained quickly, "A woman who lived in a tunnel had that name... or at least I think; that's what the other two-leggers called her. But yeah, she fed us and stuff... sometimes..." Ankh slowly trailed off, hoping there wouldn't be that 'awkward silence' following his little explination.
Rousseau
She giggled and clapped her hands together, seeing so many wolves arrive. "Grrrrrrrr.... grrrr." The child attempted to imitate the wolves, and went on 'trying' to recreate the other sounds they used to speak to each other. But her attempts didn't last long before she grew quite and then ran forward to hug Cavan, clutching at his fur. She was terribly cold with the light clothes she wore, and if it got too much colder, she'd die of hypothermia. But that wasn't the only problem; she was starving now as well. But, thank goodness, she was already potty-trained, and used bushes to her convinience.
Cavan
Cavan snarled and flinched sharply at Rousseau's touch. He hated the feeling of her little paws digging into his coat, and her spindly little arms embracing him in what felt a lot like a trap. Cavan sprung to the side, puling himself away from her, and flashing his fangs, but not daring to harm her. He knew their weakness very well; such soft and yeilding flesh. They had no natural weapons for defense, except their minds.
"Back off!" Cavan snarled, glaring at the little child, unable to contain his easily-sparked temper, nor control his loathing at being touched by anyone. But as soon as his temper flared, it cooled down, and he was able to see the hunger and cold in her eyes. "She needs some thicker skins." The wolf commented quietly, speaking of clothes as 'skins'. "And some food." His eyes shot to Ankh now, "You know a bit about humans it seems," There was a teasing note in his voice, but it was good-natured, "Where can we get her skins and food?"
Whisper
Silver fae padded towards the ground, her bod held in an unthreatenign position, though her eyes were locked on the human in a rather suspicious way. Why would these wolf be with a human, and why would Ankh, the wolf she had befriended, be near the creatures he himself said he despised?
"Well well well... it it isn't Ankh playing with a human." As always her tones held taunting within them, but really it was just her form of greeting.
One questiont that she had was would he even remember her. He had to after all. He did speak to her about leaving his pack, and she was curious of whether he had taken her advise.
Ankh
He wheeled around, finding the voice instantly familiar. "Whisper!" The hybrid barked in surprise, as he took her taunting greeting with a sheepish grin, "Er... she's...." he trailed off a moment, feeling quite embarrassed once more.
Shrugging it away, he continued, "Everyone, this is Whisper. And this is Cavan, Niavo, and... Rousseau... she was Cavan's idea." Ankh added quickly, speaking of why the human was with them. "He wants to use her to find out more about humans. I mean, I don't like her, of course..." Ankh found himself babbling on again, something which he had began to do when he got embarrassed by something.
"So, what have you been up too?" Ankh questioned, hoping desperatly to change the subject about the little child.
Whisper
A sly grin fell into place as she was recognized. The brute seemed to be rather the same. A bit unsure of himself to say the least. However he had been one lupe she had enjoyed convering with, an amazing feet for the huntress.
"Yes of course you don't..." Again she taunted him, nearing closer before he spoke the last topic changing question.
"Nothing really out of the ordinary. I've been lacking in my human rades, but I shall soon fix that." A light chuckle then fell from her vocals at the thought.
Ankh
He looked to the ground again, ducking his eyes away from everyone else. But the sheepish grin on his face told that he took Whisper's taunt light-heartedly. Returning his gaze, he gave a faint nod, "I must admit, I've been sorely lacking as well. Ankh tilted his head a bit to the side as an idea came to him, "How about we try a raid again? Though, this time, a more succesful one?" The hybrid was up for some more action again.
Whsiper
A slight chuckle quickly fell from the faes jaws. "Actually I have something a bit different already planed. I assisted a pup not too long ago. He was endbted to me s i chose to use him as bait. He can look quite inocent when he choses. So while the humans tend to him, they will be unaware of my presence. If you wish you may join my attack. It would be most helpful."
Ankh
"Using bait? That's an inventive method." Ankh approved, giving Rousseau a side-glance as many thoughts began to bubble in his mind. But disreguarding her once more, he spoke to Whisper, "Sounds like fun, I'm in! So who's this pup, and where are we using him?"
Whisper
The fae chuckled slightly, bod turnign without a word. "The ranch is a wonderful hunting ground don't you beleive?" With this the duchess left, her pace quite fast. She was to get there first.
