Wild Turkey

*struts around, pecking at food on the ground now and then. he is large, very fat, and could satisfy the stomachs of a couple of wolves, and completely fill up that of one wolf*

Jais

Jais was only a yearling wolf, and had a lot to learn. Still, he needed to try and catch a meal for his sick brother. The wolf slunk around a huge fallen pillar covered with lichen and mosses, and peeked his head up to see the turkey. Jais waited until the turkey had put his head down to peck at food before he suddenly leapt over the pillar and charged at the bird... he was ready to grab it be the neck or wing, or what ever he could get a hold of...

Wild Turkey

The turkey quickly lifts its head up and flaps its wings, frightened. It moves its feet as fast as it cans and flaps frantically, but is much slower than the wolf and, in its haste, is unable to escape. It will be easy to catch.

Jais

Jais gathers up his speed and plunges on toward the turkey. With one last powerful thrust of his hind legs, the young wolf launches himself for the turkey before it might gain flight. His jaws snap around the birds slender throat to kill it instantly... so long as that's what they did indeed close around...

Turkey

*the turkey ceases to move mid-squawk. Jais's jaws close around its neck and pierce all the way through it easily. the turkey is dead*

Jais

Jais waved his tail slightly, holding the turkey in his jaws. This was his first kill! But he wasn't quick to forget his stricken brother and his aunt. Jais gets a better hold on his prize, then makes his way to the Croal Mountains.
