-Tracks-

Roughly a mile from the heart of the Ruins, where so many of the Haunters were currently vacated from in their search for Senka, a strange track would be found among the stones and moss. Here and there, where the ground was beginning to thaw with the approach of spring, were oddly linear impressions in the damp soil. The scent of exhaust still lingered faintly, alerting any human-savy animal that some sort of nimble vehicle must have trespassed through these sacred grounds.

Anyone who followed this trail would eventually be aware of the scent of blood, and if their noses were keen enough, might detect what remained of Senka's own personal banner. Following this trail would eventually lead to a small, babbling spring that seeped out from the base of a large boulder. And at the edge of this perennial pool, they would find the remains of what had once been a majestic feline, but now was nothing more than a pile of meat and bones, bereft of any fur.

Tyrant

He led tophee back and he had immediately scented his mother's blood. He took off running. Only to be shocked. He could also tell she had to of had a litter of cubs He sent out a loud anger filled roar. He smelt the human faintly with exhaust smell

Tophee

Tophee bolted after her leader while the various scents washed over her. When they reached the spring, her eyes went wide at the sight before them, and she felt her stomach twist. Not so much for the sight of blood, for that as much she was use to. But for what had done to what had once been a very large, powerful cat.

Her auds flattened against her skull and she lowered her head, "Tyrant, I'm so sorry..." She murmured in sincere distress, before her calculating mind jumped to the next issue, "There is a strange smell here, do you recognize it? Perhaps her killer is near by?" She was still naive about humans, aside from what Saulk had told her, and was not familiar with Ethan's scent yet. She detected it easy enough, but had no clue what it meant.

From the Ruins, Tyrant's call had been heard. Saulk's howl answered back, letting Tyrant know that he and the others would be there shortly.

Tyrant

He paced back and forth humanss and the one we been dealing withHe growled in anger and hurt.

Saulk & Tophee

Tophee looked between Tyrant and the corpse of his mother, her heart beginning to ache for the pain she heard in her leader's voice. Even if she hadn't spent time with Senka, she knew much about her through the stories of Zanarah and Blackmist. Fury began to burn in the young cat the more she analyzed the situation, and with quietly contained anger, she commented, "They didn't kill her for food. And they took her fur... this human is one of the monsters Saulk warned me about." Her tail swiped the ground with force, offering a visual display of her brooding emotions. She looked to Tyrant then, her gaze hard, "We will avenger her, Leader Tyrant. Her death will not be in vain."

A few minutes after Tyrant's initial call, Cedarwood swept in overhead. The chocolatey eagle circled once before landing opposite of the pair, eyes wide at the sight of their fallen Leader. Saulk was right behind him, rushing upon the scene with a snarl already embedded upon his face. "Senka..." He gasped, and then growled deeply as Ethan's scent permeated his nostrils. "That human! Cedar, scout the area!"

The eagle launched himself upwards and climbed rapidly in the area, snapping twigs and dislodging newly swelled leaf buds as he fought through the canopy to gain elevation. As their scout departed, Saulk stepped closer to Senka, nose working hard to make sense of the grisly remains. "I'm sorry Tyrant, she didn't deserve this. She- wait, did you smell that? Milk..."

Tyrant

He paced back and forth listening to both. She had cubs and recentlyHe said . He would find the cubs and he would take them and kill the human

Saulk & Tophee

A look of gravity came to Saulk as the notion of cubs was put forth. There were no little corpses around Senka, and no fresh scent of them being here, which meant they could still be alive. Presumably at Ethan's den, now that they knew where she'd been. "We will get them back." The co-lead affirmed, and tossed his head back to utter a powerful howl. This was to let the rest of the Haunters know that one of their leader's had fallen... and they were now at war.

Tophee's heart began to race for a whole new reason. If a human could do this to a tiger, how would they face such a monster? Hiding any hint of fear with a stoic facade, the young tiger-mix spoke up, "Do we know where to find this human? And.. how does one fight such a creature?"

"We know where his territory is. We will have to strategize, because he is surprisingly intelligent for a two-legger, but we have bested him before." Aizen's rescue came to mind, and he'd heard the stories of previous tangles with the dangerous hunter. "We'll wait for Cedar's report before we do anything though."

Tyrant

we should have Tracey go and spread the word that we are taking this human out. Allies enemies doesn't matter this human a threat to all he said

Saulk & Others

"Good thought." Saulk agreed. Two-toned eyes turned to the sky, briefly searching for the eagle before he belted out another short howl, this one calling specifically for the eagle. As he wait for her arrival, the co-lead turned to Tophee, "Go back to the Temple and alert the rest. Tell Velvet she's to come up with a strike plan, and Quil needs to ready her herbs."

Tophee dipped her frosted dial in acknowledgement, casting a look between Tyrant and Saulk, "I'll relay the message." And without sparing another look to the sad remains of Senka, the liger bolted for home.
