Velvet, Leomar, & Blackmist

Dawn would soon be approaching by the time Oracle returned from their successful mission, dragging with her a haunch of horse, with plenty of meat still attached. After dragging the meat across the moat and dropping it down, she offered a few soft roars to alert the rest of the pack to the fresh food. She then dragged her own carcass, bruised and battered, to the edge of a fallen pillar, and laid down heavily against it. Most of the lion's wounds were hidden beneath her velvety coat, but she felt every one of them, and knew she would be out of commission for a few weeks while she healed.

Leomar was one of the first to respond to the dinner bell, jaunting out from the Temple and across the stone forum, with little more than a flick of a tail to offer Velvet as he passed by his wearied aunt and set into the meat. "Horse? That's some daring prey." He mused, settling down onto his belly and wrapping his front paws around a select portion of the haunch, so that he could tear a sizable chunk of flesh out. "It's been ages since we've had this!"

The next Haunter to respond was Blackmist, trotting out from the shelter of a large, slanted stone slab. She was a bit more attentive than the Coalition member, noting Velvet's condition, and being very aware of the situation that had played out before Velvet and her family had departed. But the wolfess was wise, and cautious in her response, "It looks like the hunt went well? Should..." She looked over the lioness, "..should I call for Quilikham?"

Tyrant

Tyrant had grabbed a hind leg and followed close to Velvet as his eyes were not working well. He dropped it and just laid dwon exhausted.

Meal also carried a front leg and left it going to clean his mother.

Senka awoke to it and moved forth with purpose as she hadn't eatten ina few days so she was hungry. A small dominant growl coming from her as she moved to the same Haunch that leomar had gone to. She made to grab a chunk not too caring if it was part of the chunk he wanted at this point. She moved away with it however and sat down.Good hunting I see?She said.

Velvet, Leomar, & Blackmist

Leomar growled in protest to Senka's intrusion, but there was no way he was going to tangle with a ligeress almost twice his mass. He scrambled back, frowning and flicking his tail in irritation as she took his choice piece of meat, but made no other complaints about it. He settled instead for the leg that Tyrant brought in, settling down protectively over the fresh meat and eating swiftly, in case any of the other big cats tried to pry it from him.

Velvet returned a tongue to her son, grooming his coat as well as cleaning any blood that stained it, whether it was his own or Charn's. A content purr started in her chest, and she answered Senka and Blackmist, "It was. Maelertech did well in selecting our prey, and making the killing hold on it. It was out in the Golden Rose Canyon area, where our pack use to house the deer."

Blackmist moved in for the leg that Mael had brought, intent on filling her belly with some of the meat, and bringing the rest back to Lupanare and her pups.

Senka

Senka listened as she ate.Good we will have to reestablish that land as our feeding groundsSHe said.

Tyrant was laying there eyes shut.

Mael just groomed his mother.

Velvet, Leomar, & Blackmist

Velvet held back on the nod she wanted to answer Senka with, finding her neck growing sore from one of the strikes during the fight. Instead she paused in her grooming of Maelertech to speak, "I'd suggest action soon, before the mares and the deer have time to regroup themselves. I'm not sure how many deer live there, but I suspect it'll take many Haunters to successfully drive them back into the old enclosure."

Leomar was listening wit piqued interest. It may not be a fight per say, but he was eager for some action, and if that meant chasing and shoving some deer or horses around, he was all for it. Finishing a quick gulp of meat, the lion looked over to Senka, "I can help, in case any of the stags get feisty."

Blackmist had eaten a few quick bites before she chimed in herself, "I wouldn't mind helping, but someone should stay with Lupanare's pups." The mostly ebon wolfdog was willing to be a den mother, but wasn't sure if Momo had officially been given that title yet or not.

Senka

Senka listened as she finished eatting.yes i think your right. Leomar I want you to take a group to push them back to the enclosure todayshe said. Choose who your taking wiselyShe said.If leomar chooses you then you may go momo is capable of watching the pupsShe said.

Mael just listened.

Tyrant was sleeping.

Velvet, Leomar, & Blackmist

A silent breath of relief was released by Velvet. She wasn't sure where Tersek was at the moment, but Senka at least was not questioning the hunt or Cloudbreaker's assault, and was more than happy to focus on the deer issue. She turned a few more licks against Maelertech before letting her head drop to her paws, and her dark, slanted eyes close.

Leomar certainly perked up. Swallowing his latest bite of meat, the lion almost purred with excitement, "Alright, I can do that." A bit of pride swelled in him as he glanced to Blackmist, then to his mind's eye as he went over the different Haunters that might make suitable party members. "I'll give everyone an hour to eat, then I'll make my selection and head out."

Blackmist dropped hear muzzle down in an understanding nod. She'd be happy to go, and just as happy to stay, so it mattered not to her. The bi-colored lupine settled into her meal.

Senka

She nods and eats.
