Velvet & Others

Life in the Nuova Alba had been relatively calm recently, with Velvet so far sticking to her word about no pup-napping. The Oracle of the hybrid pack had other things to worry about anyway, with a slowly expanding belly and the threat of a Haunter attack if things went south with Tyrant. She hadn't been idle in this time though, for her pack still remained weak in her eyes, with desperately low numbers and no new blood being born into it in quite some time. With a number of things on her mind, Velvet stalked to one of the altars outside of the Temple and gave a roar to summon the pack to her.

Lupanare had been watching over Neferyt during this time, taking over the role of 'mother' while trying to keep the pup happy and entertained as best she could. At the sound of Velvet's call, she nudged the youngster, "It's time for a meeting. This will be your first one - come, lets see what Velvet has to say."

Sunburst answered it as well, now that the the wolfdog had been released from his punishment in Dima's Temple. The orange eyed canine brushed past Lupanare, tail bouncing lightly behind him as he made his way to the courtyard. Zanarah was not far behind, with Leomar making a much slower approach.

Nightshade responded as well, traveling quietly across the stones to join the carnivores in their meeting. As the only deer left as Guardian in the Nuova Alba, he felt a bit awkward standing among them, but he remained loyal to the group.

Tyrant

Tyrant had been keeping vigilant watch over all of the nuova. Especially Velvet. Of course he watched her for more then that reason now. He sat down by her without a care to his status in the pride/pack.

Nemu and her children arrived.

Neferyt though missing her siblings and mother just nodded She tried to make due with her situation for now hoping that one day she would be reunited with her mother and siblings even if it was years from this date. She knew they'd keep looking for her. She followed him. At Six months of age she was getting bigger and stronger. She was very wary though of water since her almost near drawning, thanks to her uncle she survived.

Velvet, Zanarah, Leomar, & Lupanare

"You know-" Velvet said, speaking to Tyrant while the others were still on their way to the central courtyard, "You should join the Coalition. Leomar has been holding that title by himself for quite some time now; it's not much of a Coalition with just one lion in it." She offered that with a raised brow, and watched for his response.

Lupanare sat down a few yards from the alter, her switching between Neferyt to Tyrant. "One of these days soon, you'll be able to join us on patrols around the Ruins, and even join us on special missions." She told the pup, her voice quiet but positive as she tried to gain the youngster's interest. "Or, you could be a Den Mother, a Guard... and if Velvet sees something special in you, you might just got your very own title, like Strategist. Everyone here has their own talents, we just have to find out what you're good at."

Sitting down just behind the pair, Sunburst hung his head and remained silent. He was still shook-up about the death of his companions on their ill-fated assault, and even though his term of punishment was up, the little canine still felt that weight of guilt on his shoulders.

Zanarah stopped beside Nemu and her children, but not before arching her back in a stretch and giving her pale coat a good shake. Leomar was not too far away from the females where he plopped down.

Tyrant

He sat there calmly. One ear on Velvet at her words.perhapsBut he would not be too far away from Velvet none the less.

Neferyt listened. I don't want any of that I want my familyShe said. She may be not fighting this but it did not mean she wanted to be here. She just sat down.

Nemu and the others paitiantly waited.

Velvet & Others

"You should speak with him about it." She insisted, "It'd give you both something to do." After giving Tyrant something to think about, the lioness stood and peered down at all who had gathered before her. A small number, but a loyal following nonetheless. As everyone settled in, she stepped to the edge of the alter and raised her head, "Family, it's time we had a proper meeting to discuss a few different topics. The issue of saving pups and cubs, growing our numbers, and securing our future are three highlights I'll be covering - but before I begin, is there any other topic that anyone would like to have up for discussion today?"

Quietly, Lupanare lowered her head and whispered back to Neferyt, "I know it's hard little one, but we are your new Family now. In time, you'll understand what this is all about." She gave Neferyt a lick on the top of her head before turning her attention up to Velvet.

Zanarah and Leomar looked between each other, then back to their leader. Neither had any input to offer Velvet yet.

Tyrant

He just listened no. His ears slightly back at the mention of pups. Tyrant noticed the pup he couldn't reall yhear her mumble but he could tell she was none of theirs. But he also knew if she was kidnapped it was before he showed up. He still didn't like it.

Neferyt moved away from the lick.You are not, my family is alive and well. She said shaking herself out. Family don't kidnap others from other families. You ruin familiesShe said. She just did not fight cause she was a pup and knew it was useless. She snorted at Velvets words and then got up.You not saving anyoneShe muttered and made to go back to where she came from. She didn't care to listen to any of them.

Nemu listneed. I do not believe their is much else that needs to be discussed other then what you have mentioned She said. She watched the little pup. Her ears back not at the pup but at the fact she knew that she was kidnapped. The little pup was not a fighter everyone could tell, but it did not mean she liked or accepted them.

Velvet & Others

Velvet waited a few moments to give everyone a chance to speak their mind. When everyone seemed content with the content she'd offered, the lioness began, "Very well, let us begin with the first topic then, a rather simple one. With the Haunters, we use to have falcons and other avians at our aid. Birds are critical for their swiftness in covering ground as well as their ability to spy without being noticed." There was a nod from Zanarah and Sunburst at this, both recognizing the necessity of having feathered comrades within the pack. "I need one of you to enlist at least one bird to help us, preferably a raptor but any bird with decent flight capability would be useful. If we can find more birds to join our cause, that would be ideal." The Oracle paused now and scanned the faces before her, waiting for a volunteer to pipe up.

Lupanare might have been interested in such a mission, but right now she had a disobedient pup to deal with. "Neferyt..." The wolfess began, still speaking sympathetically with the youngster, "Neffy, wait!" She moved quickly, putting a paw down against the pup's hindquarters to try and force her into a sitting position, while her jaws hovered open and ready to snag Nef by the scruff and drag her back if the pup evaded her paw. "You mustn't leave during a meeting."

Neferyt

Neferyt growled this time when a paw was placed on her backside. this meeting has nothing to do with me being returned to my loving Mother and siblings. her mother, who she had no clue if she was alive thanks to that tigress who stole her. But even if not she had siblings.

Tyrant eyed the two wolves his eyes slightly narrowed but for the moment he left it alone.

Nemu listened. I can go out in search of oneShe said.

Velvet & Others

This time, Lupanare offered a quiet but stern growl and kept pressure on Neferyt's backside to ensure that got the message that disobedience would not be tolerated. Still, the fae's voice held a lighter tone, as she didn't want to get too harsh with a pup who was understandably upset and unhappy with what had happened to her. "Your mother and siblings are gone, Neffy." Lupanare lied, keeping her voice down so as not to interrupt Velvet and anger the lioness. "It's confusing I know, but you must be brave. You'll be safe and loved here with the Nuova, but you have to be respectful and follow the rules. Listen to what Velvet has to say, okay?"

Despite her best efforts, Velvet did pause her speech to eye the pair. Once Lupanare had Neferyt back under control, at least physically, the lioness continued, "Thank you, Nemu. I'd prefer that we find an orphaned nestling or two, in order to raise them properly here, but any adult will work if they're willing to join us."

Pleased with that agenda being taken care of, she moved on to the next topic without falter, "With our numbers being as low as they are now, and a lack of good diversity within our own blood here, we need to find other means of building our ranks. I want each of you to expand your patrols, and go further than you normally would. Seek out loners or vulnerable creatures and offer them sanctuary here." Her dark eyes danced from feline to canine, making a short circuit of those gathered before her. "Canines and felines are preferable, but we will welcome any who can offer us strength in some way or another."

Neferyt

She growled back.If their dead your friends killed them and therefore are not my family and I do not love any of you I will return to my family whether its today tomorrow or next month I don't care what she has to say she is not my alphaShe growled and turned and nipped at lup paw.

Tyrant attention turned back to velvet as she said orphan. adult is better we can not raise a birdhe said calmly yet making it clear he would not trust any of them bringing a baby of any kind in unless born from them. He glanced at the two. let her go to the den or bring her back to her rightful pack. I am not mad about the stealing since it was before I came but do the right thing and return her.Oh he wasn't stupid. He knew the pup had been stolen but he wouldn't get entirely mad since it was before he actually came in. He was calm if that wolf hurt that pup he would intervene immediately. He listened to the next topic and that was a good topic and he was glad Velvet did not say anything about young in that one.

Velvet & Others

"I can promise you that we did not kill any of them." Lupanare answered back in full honesty, "We only took you to save your life, and we would have taken your siblings if there had been time. Even your mother, but... it's difficult to explain. You'll understand better when you're older." Neferyt was having none of it though, and lashed out at her caregiver with a snap to the paw. Lupa deftly moved her leg to keep those sharp teeth from hitting any of her digits, and renewed a soft growl at the youngster, "One thing you must learn before anything else is respect and obedience." As she said this, Lupanare reached for Neferyt's nape, not aiming to hurt the pup but to clamp down on the back of the neck to both pin her to the floor, and discipline her for her unruly behavior.

"We are very capable of raising youngsters." Velvet countered Tyrant, "In agreement with your wishes however, no young bird will be orphaned by our fangs, unless we are hunting and take them as a food source." To the command that Neferyt should be allowed to leave the meeting, the lioness narrowed her already slanted eyes. The end of her tail twitched, but she held her irritation in check and answered the larger cat evenly, "It's important for all Nuova to listen in on the meetings, whether they want to or not. Insubordinate behavior isn't rewarded around here, and it will do her good to know what we have in plan as a pack. She's not being harmed."

In an attempt to bring the discussion back on track, Zanarah spoke up, "Might it be wise to seek allies as well? It's been a long time since we've dealt with the Shadow Lurkers - I for one have never met any of them. Myself and another could seek them out at night, and see where they stand with us now."

Tyrant

He stood up now.leave the pup alone Lup I demand ithe then glanced at Velvet as s he spoke of insubordination.She is not part of this pack, you are holding her hostage against her will so don't talk about insubordination to me He growled.I may not be mad for the initial kidnapping but you want to start doing righth? You return her to her pack where she belongs. Perhaps you can come up with some excuse and maybe gain us an ally that way. He said with a growl. IF lup didn't listen he would go and pin her himself..

Neferyt yelped as she was pinned down.If you were saving me my uncle and my whole pack would be here they were not a threat to me. I am part of my uncle's pack that is who i submit to. She growled.

Nemu ears were back. She herself moved to lup and aimed to nudge her off.let the pup go lup this is causing enough stress on everyoneShe said. She didn't like the napping either but she was still loyal to Velvet. Though since her twin Dusquei wasn't around she could loose it.

Velvet & Others

Velvet rose to her paws alongside Tyrant, her tail now becoming more animated as tensions rose and her control of the situation slipped. Had she more supporters, the lioness would have stood her ground and enforced her rule, but Tyrant was a big cat, and Nemu was already unhappy with the cubnapping, and Neferyt's behavior was not helping. If she pushed too much right now, a fight could erupt. Forcing restraint upon herself, Velvet stared hard at Tyrant, "Remember that you are a guest here amongst us, and will not be calling the shots. If and when you pledge your full allegiance, your words will have more sway." After leveling him with this, the lioness turned her gaze to Nemu, and her voice raised slightly, "Sunburst, take her to Dima's Temple to cool off."

Lupanare had hesitated, but ultimately released Neferyt and took a step back under Nemu and Velvet's command. Sunburst moved in to take her place, and to break the uncomfortable tension by wagging his tail and leaning his muzzle down to whisper to the pup, "Hey, follow me Neffy. I can show you something really cool that you've never seen before, okay?" He wasn't sure if such an enticement would work or not, but at least it could be a welcome distraction from the stress and trauma that she'd dealt with so far.

Tyrant

His tail too was getting agitated.You want me to swear my allegiance to you? Yet yuo won't return a pup who wants its mother? How can I swear allegiance to you when you won't do the right thing. I can't pledge allegiance to you till I trust that your done with this disguesting ways. You need to right this wrong before I will even think about thatHe said. She doesn't need to cool off she perfectly at liberty to be upsetNot that he was saying not for her to be taken somewhere else, No that was fine. One thing he was sure was that despite Neferyt upset and hate that none of these were risen who would kill such a pup. Or so he hoped. He began pacing clearly aggravated. you want the haunters to return, you want Senka to return. The only way you do that is to return that pup and proof to me that those ways are through. I told you im not mad about this napping because it was done before I came but I do expect you to right it. Perhaps if you can get her calm enough you can convince her to help form an alliance with her pack. He said.

Nemu dared lupe to not let up she would physically move her off of the pup.

Neferyt ears were back and she did nip again at lup as she let her go. She moved to follow Sunburst without a word. She just wanted her mother, but she was also scared that that big cat that had had her in her mouth at the time had actually killed her mother, she had seen her uncouncious with a bleeding face.

Velvet & Others

Velvet managed to hold herself steady as Tyrant began to pace, reminding herself that she had to play things carefully if she wanted to prevent a brawl in the Ruins. "We had a bargain, and I am holding you to that just as I expect you to hold me to my end of the deal." Her mind raced, trying to come up with some solution that would both benefit the Nuova without sacrificing their code, and also placate the angry behemoth that stalked back and forth before her. With great effort, Velvet managed to still her tail, and concede that Tyrant did have a tantalizing proposal. "I'll tell you what Tyrant - you find us a new member to replace Neferyt, by whatever means you deem moral, and we will return the pup to her pack, safe and sound." The lioness took in a deep draft of air, as much to calm her nerves as it was to cool herself off in the growing heat of the moment. "Gaining her pack as an ally would be advantageous for us, I will agree to that. But you must be willing to put in the work yourself if you truly believe an alliance between us can manage. Is this a deal we can agree on?"

Leomar had perked up as the words grew heated between the pair. As much as the lion loved to lounge around, he was itching to actually put his fangs and claws to good use, if only in a minor tussle. His aunt was a sly one though, and Leo sighed to himself when she resisted the anger and refused to lash out at Tyrant.

Zanarah had gone quiet during this time, siding more with her aunt than her cousin - like Velvet, she did not want to see bloodshed amongst the pack here, but had been ready to through her weight in if it came to it. Still not sure if things were going to cool down so quickly between Tyrant and Velvet, the liger kept a keen eye on the big male.

Lupanare flashed her fangs at Neferfyt, a wordless chastisement for the nip, but she dared not nip back when Nemu was hovering over her like so. Even as large as she was for her kind, Lupa was no where near a match for the tiger, so she folded her ears back and stepped aside as Sunburst guided Neferyt from the scene.

Tyrant

Tyrant wasn't stupid, he could take any of them alone or maybe in twos but if they all attacked he'd be screwed. But it would be worth it for the pup. so now he had to try to find replacement if he wanted the pup to be returned. There was no guarantee he could find someone. It would most likely have to be omeone new to the valley. No one wants to join the Nuova because you steal young, any who know you won't want to join because of that and I wont possibly be considered a lier by saying you've change your ways because its only been a few monthsHe said.

He was still pacing it was a way to kee himself from lashing out at her.That alliance would be able to be maintained as long as you are not stealing cubs from any pack. If I know whoes pack she is from I know he is even more against it then Ihe said.

Nemu kept an on lup dearing her to snap out at the pup who was just showing how upset she was.

Nefereyt left.

Velvet & Others

"You don't speak for every creature in the Valley." Velvet countered as she settled back on her haunches, signaling that she was willing to hash out this problem with words rather than claws, despite Leomar's eagerness for some action. "You've stated your demands, and those are mine - if we're going to lose a member of our pack, I want her replaced by another. That's only fair." This is where the lioness drew the line, though whether Tyrant could or would seek out another member for them wasn't for certain. "As for the alliance with her pack, that is something we will discuss and work on. It would help if you told me what you know about them, and what alliances they might have."

Leomar's eyes remained on Tyrant as the big brute continued to pace, but alas, it didn't look like he'd get to exercise his fangs this evening. The lion yawned and relaxed his tense muscles, but his eyes and ears remained alert, just in case.

Feeling Nemu's eyes boring into her, Lupanare scooted away from the big cat and moved closer to Azula and Zuko.

Tyrant

He slowed his pacing slowly his tail swaying back and forth.She isn't part of the pack, the only way one is part of the pack is if they choose it she clearly doesn't want to be herehe said calmly. His anger slowly dissipating.i bw ill find someone anywaysHe said sitting down finally. they have none from what I can tell, They only just got back together, he has taken Taiya as his mate and accepted three newer animals into the packhe said.

Nemu sat down by Katara.

Azula and zuko were in between, they didn't mind the stealing but they could live without it.

Velvet & Others

Once Tyrant agreed to provide a new member to the pack, Velvet eased up, "Then we are in agreement." She even offered a smile, though it wasn't exactly a friendly expression. "Our next order of business then will be how to go about returning Neferyt to her old pack without causing a fight, and if possible, how to gain them as an ally."

"Well-" Leomar spoke up, his voice a deep rumble, "Sounds like they don't have many members. We could use our greater numbers to force them into an alliance, like with the old pact we had with the Aspen Grove. A handful of wolves couldn't stand against us, but they'd have a lot to gain if they accepted us as allies."

Zanarah saw her time to add her voice to the mix, "Or we could pass the whole incident off as a mistake. You can tell them I gave the orders, thinking they were an enemy pack." The liger offered herself as a scapegoat, not caring one way or the other what the Parnassian Meadows thought of her. "We could return Neferyt and offer our alliance as a means of making up for the attack. Perhaps even bring them some fresh food to go along with the charade."

Tyrant

His tail still twitched in annoyance over the whole ordeal. He listened to each and everyone.Zanarah is better idea. Crucifix would not take it lightly if he was forced into anything, his father taught him well before leaving him. If he was forced into it he would find ways out of it. But if we make it out to of been an accident a mistake he might be more willing. Even if he only accepts it for a short while to keep his pack safe till they get biggerhe said calmly.And I don't suggest sending the ones who attacked but go yourself and Ill goHe said. Then his ears twitched and he stood up. He may not exactly be part of the pride but they were still somewhat his pride as he ehard the others. He released his own in warning.

Kovu , Nuuka, Sarabi and Mansa and Leo traveled to gether The two adult males and female were siblings, The cubs were Sarabi and Leo was blind in one eye. Kovu stopped at the border. This pride seemed to be steady here so he was sure they were well established. Kovu being the leader of his litle pride gave the call.

Nemu ears perked up warily at the sound of new arrivals.

Velvet & Others

"Nemu, join Sunburst in Dima's Temple and explain the situation to Neferyt. The attack was a mistake by Zanarah..." Velvet's brows furrowed as she put her mind to work. After a moment, she smiled again, faintly, and added, "She mistook them for an enemy pack, and thought that they were going to harm the pups. That was our reason for the assault, and she will be returned to her family within the next few days." The lioness looked hard at Tyrant now, a silent warning that he would have to play along with what they had discussed if this alliance was going to work. "Once you've finished speaking with her, please work on finding a bird."

Easing back into the flow of the meeting, Velvet now directed her attention to the rest, ready to address the next topic she had planned for today. Before she could get to that though, a roar from a stranger stopped her in her tracks. Velvet stood, ears perked and eyes wide. To her surprise and relief, Tyrant was quick to answer back, followed swiftly by Leomar who'd scrambled to his paws.

"Tyrant, Leomar - it's time for you both to shine. The rest of us will follow behind you." Velvet ushered the two males to approach the strangers, which Leomar was all too eager to do. The big male hurried forward, brushing shoulders with Tyrant as he made his way for the border. Behind him, Zanarah fell in line beside Velvet, while Lupanare trailed behind, staying closer to Nightshade.

Tyrant

Tyrant was not against the lie, as he didn't really want Crucifix as an enemy in the first place. Sometimes small white lies were necessary. Lieing is necessary to keep the peacehe responded. Then it was the new comers and he had no problem with rubbing shoulders with leomar as he moved to confront the strangers. A united front was necessary and he would of done the same at home. Greetings, I am Tyrant what business do you have at our boreder?He speaks calmly as he sees the cubs and he did not want to spook them.

Nemu nodded before vanishing to talk with the cub.

Azula, Zuko and Katara followed he others.

Kovu stood next to Nuuka as the pride approaches lead by no doubt two strong males. He shakes his mane out a bit.I am kovu, this is my brother Nuuka, Sister Sarabi and Nephew Leo and Niece Mansa, we seek a home as the rest of our pride was slaughtered by humans and as the lead male I want to protect whats left of my familyhe said calmly.

Nuuka was quiet and carefully sizing up their possible opononents if they turned offensive.

Sarabi kept her two cubs by her quiet ready to defend them if she needed. Leo one good eye watched the on comming group and he pressed down into his mothers paw and his sister side.

Velvet & Others

A good bit of weight had been lifted from Velvet's shoulders, even though she was not pleased about having to return the pup or abide by the 'no stealing' rule. Still, if it were going to gain her additional allies, and get the Haunters off her back - and possibly even gain them allies or actual members, it would be worth it. Letting that settle in her mind, the lioness was hot on the heels of Tyrant and Leomar as the group advanced on the boarder to meet the interlopers.

Leomar stopped beside Tyrant as the other pride came into view, happily surprised to see more pure-bloods in the Valley, including a big male who could be a possible addition to the Coalition. Raising his head high but keeping his voice and posture calm as Tyrant did, the lion responded back in turn, "We would accept you and your pride into ours Kovu, so long as you can abide by our code." He glanced back at his aunt, who nodded her approval, then went on, "We work a little differently than a traditional pride, but your family would be well protected from all threats, including humans."

Zanarah stepped to the side, so that she would be fully visible to the pride, sporting her unusual coat of white and gray-blues. "We are the Nuova Alba. My name is Zanarah - I would be more than happy to help look after the cubs. We also have a well fortified densite where they can be kept safely during hunts, or when there is danger."

Tyrant

Tyrant wouldn't speak much unless needed now. When Leomar mentioned code though he slightly listened more but didn't make it obvious.

Kovu was calm and collected, He was sure of his ability to defend his little pride from any of these cats. He did ey the hybrids but otherwise paid attention to those speaking.And what is your code?He could kinda see what he meant in different from a traditional pride, a traditional pride was a male or two and a bunch of female lions.

Nuka let his brother speak looking over each female calmly.

Sarabi kept her cubs close to her warily eyeing Zanarah as she wasn't very trusting but she did not speak she was more quiet out of the group.

Leo and mansa eyed the others. He looked up at his mom and in as quiet a voice as a cub could manage though it was probably still audible.Why do some of them looking wierd momma?He asked and she looked down at them. Because they are more then just lionshe said.. Of course Zanarah coat was a bit different too.

Azula and Zuko listened.

Velvet & Others

With Kovu engaged, Leomar responded with a note of pride in his voice, "We are a powerful pack, or pride if you will. Our leader is my aunt, Velvet-" He looked back, his eyes falling to the lioness with the dark tan coat and distinctive eyes, "Though a merger may happen in the future and roles may be adjusted." Leomar still wasn't sure what was going to happen there, whether Tyrant would assume leadership alongside her, or if Senka would one day take back that title. Leaving that be, the male continued as he turned his attention back to Kovu, "We each fill a special role in the Nuova, depending on our strongest abilities. I'm part of the Coalition, the strongest of our fighting forces, and the first line of defense when it comes to protecting our territory. We also have general warriors, scouts, den watchers, and so on."

Velvet took the reigns now, stepping forward and speaking clearly as she watched Kovu eye the females, "You would have breeding rights with any of our willing females, and the entire pack would assist with raising the young, regardless of who the parents are." She mentioned this not only for Kovu's interest, but also to alleviate any concern Sarabi might have about her youngsters. Unlike a traditional pride, there would be no killing of another male's young. "And to be more precise about the code; we are a strong pack with ambitions for spreading our control further across the Valley. We allow predators and even prey to join our ranks, so long as they can serve the pack in some way. We are also fighters, and will eliminate any threat that others pose to us." Velvet was careful not to mention anything about pupnapping, but she did let it be known that the Nuova Alba was a group to be respected and feared, and that bloodshed was not uncommon. "There are other details that we can share in due time, but those are the basic ideals of our pack."

Zanarah could see the apprehension that Sarabi carried, and in a bid to ease some of that discomfort, she spoke softly to the mother and her cubs, "It's quite alright, you're safe here as long as you mean us no harm." A faint grin tugged at her pale muzzle, uncovering a single fang, "I can show you some very interesting animals here, if your mother and your pride are okay with that. There are many different kinds of cats that live in this Valley."

Tyrant

Tyrant was listening to every word carefully. He had no qualms with what was said not even the blood shed. He had no problem with killing those who oppose them. And in that case if a pack or pride was totally annaliated and only left were cubs and pups then yes he'd have no problem with the cubs/pups being brought in but only if their was none of their family left. That was a bit different. Orphans of war. If the merger did happen he knew his mother would demand to become the leader, she had waited so long for that chance and when Greyfell completely fell from grace with the majority of the haunters hse and her father brought a peaceful end to his reign. No one knows what happened to greyfel once he had been led from the room as he had vanishedn ot long after.

Velvet smiled, her whiskers drawing back as the corners of her eyes squinted for a moment in a pleasant expression, "Then Kovu, welcome to the Nuova Alba. You and yours are free to explore the Ruins where we live, and get to know the rest of our members. Tonight, we will hunt to commemorate your addition to our Family." The lioness bowed her head slightly and took a step back, signaling for Kovu and his pride to move forward across the empty moat, and into the heart of the Temple.

As the merger was being officiated, Lupanare was quick to point out a small fact that Velvet had missed, "We do have a deer in our pack, who acts as a guard and decoy. He's got a black pelt and carries our scent, so you'll know when you see him. Just be sure not to eat him, his name's Nightshade." The wolf's mind went to the pond in the very center of the Ruins, and she added, "There's also an alligator that defends part of our land. He's further on in the Temple, so don't be alarmed when you see him - he won't hurt you."

"I've got that handled." Zanarah interrupted the wolfess, then looked to Sarabi, "I won't take them far, just a little ways into the Temple. You're free to follow if you wish." She then lowered her body a little to be more at Leo and Mansa's level, her voice soft and purring, "Have you ever seen an alligator before? Come, I'll show you what one looks like - and if he's in a good mood, you might even be able to ride on his back in the lagoon." The liger turned and took a few steps, but paused to make sure the little ones were following, and that Sarabi was okay with their destination.

Tyrant hoped that Velvet really had told the truth about ending pup napping, They needed his mother and the others back they needed to be united as one. And with these additions he turns to her. So they cannot hear . This should be more then enough to cover the pups empty shoeshe said calmly making it clear he would make sure the pup got home to her parents, of course velvet and he should go to discuss things with Crucifix. After all even if it wasn't Velvet's fault being the alpha you had to take responsibility of your pride and he was sure Crucifix would only accept an apology from Velvet.

Kovu dipped hish ead and he and his brother moved over to investigate their new home.

Velvet stood where she was, nodding and giving her faint smile to the pride as they crossed the dried moat and passed into the heart of the Ruins. As they filed beyond her, she turned her head and looked squarely to Tyrant, "A deal is a deal." She managed that evenly, for she was happy to have gained so many new big cats, even if she was not so keen on giving up the pup. Part of being a good leader was being able to compromise though, so Velvet swallowed her displeasure and kept her disposition calm. "We have to work with the pup now, to ensure that she believes the story we are going to tell her pack. The other issue will be how to approach the pack without causing a stir."

"They do." Zanarah chuckled to the eager cubs. "Here, see for yourself. It's not too far from here." So saying the ligeress moved further into the landscape, heading for Dima's Temple.

Tyrant watched the big cats still a little wary.Then Nemu was back and he nodded.

"That's good, it should be easy enough to return her then. What we need now is a way to approach the pack without them become immediately hostile." Velvet pondered this problem out lout, "Like you said Tyrant, I think it'd be best if I went. But it may be wise to have one of the wolves go ahead, to let them know of my arrival. Otherwise, I'm sure the sight of another big cat in their territory may provoke an attack before I have the chance to explain myself."

Thanks to Calian's misadventures, there were now only two canines left in the pack after tangling with the Aspen Grove. With one currently at Dima's Temple with Neferyt, Lupanare was the only one left outside with the group, and she didn't hesitate to step forward upon hearing what Velvet had to say. "I would volunteer for that. Tyrant, do you think it would be a wise idea?"
