Cavan

It had been several days since he'd last heard from his sister. And it had been one day since Dally had informed him of what he'd overheard from Liseli and Darling in the Canyon. And it had been last night, just before dusk, that Wolf Eye had returned to report that Larsan was dead, after Cavan had sent the two of them to assassinate the beta of the Aspen Grove. Larsan had been taken down by a cougar, a friend of the pack's, and Liseli had escaped alive. The mission had been a failure in the worst possible way.

By now, the Aspen Grove would surely know that there had been an assassination attempt by the Shadow Haunters, but Cavan did not worry himself with much, and why should he? The Haunters were too strong for the Aspen Grove to contend with. Secure in that knowledge, the Captain of the Shadow Haunters shifted to more personal matters - his sister. With her wellbeing in mind, the aging wolf set out across the Temple, trying to track down one member in particular - Deadra.

Deadra

The female cheetah was currently sitting by the moat in which she was cleaning and grooming herself. A soft purr coming from her. When she was a cub she use to rub it in other species faces that she could purr and they could not. She saw Cavan coming her way and she let her paw down. He looked serious and her fur slightly bristled wondering what it was he needed from her. She was just a minor member then again she was a cheetah so perhaps he needed speed. Good afternoon Cavan, Is there something I can do for you?She spoke.

Cavan

Once he spotted the sleek form of the spotted cat, Cavan turned his course for her. The relative flatness of their Temple home made the journey towards the moat a quick one, and upon reaching her, Cavan skipped the greeting completely and went straight to business. "There is. Yesterday I received word from Dally that there may be trouble with the Aspen Grove." The wolf did not specify what kind of trouble, or that it mostly related to his sister, however. "I sent Larsan and Wolf Eye out yesterday afternoon to deal with a slight problem, but unfortunately.. Larsan was murdered by one of the Aspen Grove members." Losing such a powerful member like Larsan was a blow to the pack, and it struck Cavan particularly hard, since he'd been the one to send Tersek's son out. "I know there will be repercussions against us for this, and I fear for my sister's safety. I want you to travel to the Aspen Grove and ensure that she is still well and safe; Dally has so far been unable to locate her."

Deadra

Deadra sat there her round ears facing the canine as she listened carefully.Do you wish for me to speak with her or someone in the pack? Or to just pass through the pack and see if I spot her?Her words soft.

Cavan

"I want you to find her if you can, and make sure she is well. It isn't like her to go this long without contacting me." In his earlier days, Cavan would have gone himself - with some backup - but he knew what kind of reception his presence would get at the Aspen Grove now, and he was not so arrogant to take those chances. "If you can't find her, talk to the pack directly and find out where she is." With Larsan dead, the Captain understood what kind of risk it was to send another Haunter directly to their packlands, but then that's why he'd chosen Deadra - the cheetah could outrun the wolves and the cougar if they tried to attack her. And if they did indeed attack her, it would the perfect excuse to send a brigade to their land and remind them what happened last time they got on the Haunter's bad side.

Deadra

Deadra listened calmly and tilted her head.Alright. I shall go to their borders and call for Nachi someone will hear by call I am sure. She said calmly.

Cavan

"Watch yourself out there, Deadra. We've already lost Larsan." Cavan warned her, "If you are not back within an hour, I will have Dally sent out."
