Pan was no quiet boy, each black hoof ripping into the soft soil of this newly discovered place. Rocks tumbled beneath him as he bound through the stoney riverbed, legs spackled with glistening water, sun pasted on his pale back. My Spanish demon had intentions, and they were meant for this place, for the Shadow Haunters. Pan had little understanding of them — but he did know they were notorious for their power.
He could smell them on the wind, thick with wolven warnings; the crows even serenaded a call of caution. Pan took it in, but it only made him more eager to face these mysterious creatures. Given, they were meat-eaters, and he happened to be hearty full of meat — nice juicy meat — Pan cared little though, striding confidently towards the leaning buildings of stone, the broken carvings and abundant vines. His legs came to a stop, his body still, neck thick and muscular pushing his head upward; black eyes mulling over the forsaken region. They knew he was here. This was their home, they knew he was here.
And so he waited.
Ritual
Ritual was playing in Shadow Haunter territary when she smelled another equine.Looking up her ears perked. This male didn't smell of the Shadow Haunters so she was cautious."Who are you and what do you want,"she called out.Sure she was a young filly, but she could be brave. She flicked her tail as she waited for a answer.Eyes emotionless as ever. You had better answer quickly stranger before i sound the alarm she thought. She was still feeling quilty from her uncles injuries and not to mention his and her grandmothers dissapearance.
Nightshade
Nightshade turned when he saw Pan, and a slight smirk covered his face. Someone came to grovel to the Shadow Haunters, ask for a alliance. At least they'd find respect with joining them. They might as well make friends with a porcupine if they expected respect from the Shadow Lurkers. The stallion approached, muscles rippling smoothly underneath his pelt. "Easy, Ritual. Just because they are stranger, doesn't mean they are enemy," Nightshade spoke calmly, "But you never let your guard down. Just try not to be so prickly." Nightshade then turned to address the new equine, holding his head high as he spoke. "I am Nightshade, son of Never-ending Darkness and Mikia. What brings you upon the land of the Shadow Haunters?" Nightshade quarried calmly, his voice bold but still respectful.

Pan held nothing but a mocking grin on his stiffened white face as the filly came barreling into the scene. Winds swirled at his back, dread-locks catching the light breezes as he watched her, his glass-eyes, eerie and black as they rolled over the eager child. Pan had no use for her really, so his response was as it normally is, he a let a calm but warning growl-like sound rumble through his throat and out his nostrils. It was a simple ‘warning’ of sorts. And so he carried on with his normal business, awaiting one of the wolves and consuming grass like it was his goddamn job.
Pan’s white flesh felt the coolness of the breeze leave, his head slowly lifted and both of those inky marbles plastered onto the approaching wolf. Pan’s stance smoothed over, his head lifting further upward, ears leaning inward. His expression stern, as always, his position rather ‘regal’ like — given his Spanish lineage, he could not really help it. His eyes mechanical, empty of thought or emotion. The dog spoke, Pan’s head tilted downward, a nod of respect I suppose. “I am Pan, and I’m almost certain you already know why I am here.” He eyes found the fillies small feminine body for a moment, then back to Nightshade. “I ask for the Haunter’s alliance, for myself and all of my home.” His tone was as machine as his eyes, dreary and dark; deep, but placid as well. “In exchange, as normal, you will receive my loyalty — as well as anyone in Lost Valley.” His ears swiveled for a moment, catching the sounds around him, and then locking one on the filly and another on Nightshade.
Prisoner .+. Viyanna .+. Alderon
Two more horses, both alike in build and color, came thundering in toward the mighty stallion. Viyanna, seeing her daughter near the stallion, screamed a cry of warning. "Ritual, stand down. Do not approach strangers by yourself!" She moved closer to her daughter, nuzzling her worriedly before turning to the stallion who had openly requested an alliance. Her eyes narrowed to him, but she seemed pleased... He looked strong, one who would not disappoint the Haunters in the heat of battle. Viyanna bowed to the stallion. "My name is Viyanna." Prisoner spoke up, although she had yet to find her son, she gave a strong front to the stallion. "And I am Prisoner, Leader of the Horse Division of the Shadow Haunters. Risen is currently in chat with another, if you care to wait, she should be here any minute." Her head was high, her painted gypsy vanner body thick with muscle and filled with scars from the battles she had served in.
Just in front of the stallion, inside the moat, the water began to crawl. A few tiny heads emerged from the safety of the water to observe the stallion before they opened their venomous mouths in warning. Breathless, a 40 foot reticulated python, also made her way to the group. Her large horse sized head came up from the water as well as a few feet of her body. Looking the stallion in the eyes before lowering back down so that only the top of her head was visible.
The last to arrive was Alderon, a large black rhino, came up to the group, his large 4 foot horn lowered as he bowed to the stallion, as well and warned him not to mess with the Haunters. Prisoner spoke to Alderon, and to a prairie falcon that was just above them, "He has requested an alliance. Oraiyus," The horse looked up. "Inform Risen that a stallion is here to see her." The bird chittered a little before taking off along the moat to another gather of animals. These ones were all wolves.
Darkia and Mikia and Cain and Greda
Darkia Daughter of Darkness and Mikia as well as twin to nightshade and half sibling to cain and greda approached. This stallion was a nice looking one and she watched him.Her tail flicked.
Mikia the mother of four came up and watched standing next to prisoner.
Cain and greda also twins to each other stood back.

Pan watched as they came forth, his eyes latching to the horse who came forth to speak. The group was blurry to Pan, he had no concerns with the hissing snakes or the rumbling rhinos, they did not send any quivers down his spine — he was not here to fight them, so therefore, he had no use for them. His pale ears caught each finely spoken word, his head titling once again with a nod of agreement. “Then I will wait for her, thank you Prisoner.” His mind trailing on many things besides this little treaty, but he firmly kept his eyes off the mare’s curves and onto her eyes. His muscles twitching with anticipation — he could certainly make use of this alliance.
Ritual
Ritual glared at the stallion when he ignored her.Snorting her own warning back at him when her mother appeared. She nuzzled her back when she saw her grandmother appear. She looked around for her uncle Detention, but he was nowhere. She sighed sadly hopeing nothing had happened to him.She watched as the bird flew off to inform Lady Risen of the stallion. She stomped her hooves backing a bit away from her mothers nuzzling.Watching the others she wondered what was going to happen now.
