Hydras & Quilikahm

For nearly a week's time, the fallen Lurker had balanced on the edge, swaying percariously close to Death's Door, but never quite slipping past the point of no return. For the first day or two, there was nothing in her mind but darkness and emptiness. And after that, deliruious images, voices, and ideas clashed about in a confusing myriad of fevered nightmares brought on by her ravaged physical condition and the cocktail of poisons that Quilikahm was feeding to her.

The semi-coma state that she had been in for the first two days had a terrible effect on her brain, and it was only worsened by the drugs that the muntjac forced on her. By the time conciousness krept back to her being, the link to her past memories were all but severed and scrambled in such a way that she didn't know who she was, or what had happened. Weakened by lack of activity and the poor shape her body was in, the hybrid bobbed her head up for a moment, blinking her eyes against the darkness of the den she had been dragged into.

Outside, Quilikahm was nestled on the ground, cleaning her fur and browsing on a few early strawberries that had popped up around the area.

Tumult

Tumult had been with his family as they spoke in their new tongue to each other about Kalaber and his residence here. Walking up to the muntjac that was just outside, he lowered his head. "Fuuj Kuzmemf, Quilikahm. Luv izy aou?" He asked, waiting for her answer before turning into the den and heading down to where Hydras was. He could barely see her, but he knew she was awaking.

"Fuuj Kuzmemf.... Lajzig" He spoke her name in the name of the Haunters. No longer would she go by Hydras. Her name now would be Lajzig.

"I see you are awake. They almost killed you."

Lajzig & Quilikahm

The little deer stood and bowed her head to the wolf, "Fuuj Kuzmemf, Tumult. Bogs szeemf su ygpiwemf sly kej-jialyas." A slight smile was given as she glanced up at the canopy towards the rays of light that were filtering down through the dense leaves. The hottest part of the year was nearly upon them, and she was quite thankful that the mountains were always a touch cooler than the other areas of the Valley.

Seeing a stranger in her eyes, old instincts almost had Lajzig snarling when Tumult entered the den. But this was quelled before it even began, both because she simply didn't have much energy, and because as her tired mind pulled from the coma-like sleep she'd been in, she realized that his scent surrounded her.
What... what happened?" The hybrid raised her head a little higher, stubbornly fighting against fatigue as she looked to the other, "...who almost killed me...?"

Tumult

The male gave a kindly smile to the female as he noticed she was still in a great loss for strength. "Mu Vuzzeyg, Do not worry yourself about it now. When your memories return to you, if you were not damaged that intensely, please tell me what is the last thing you remember. I will tell you what happened after you blacked out when you are ready... I do not want to cause you any more stress." He nodded to her gently, taking pride in his finding and luck.

"Quilikham! Puky lyz, Say hello to Lajzig"

Hydras & Quilikahm

The kindness and lack of hostility in the male had Hydras easing up even more, until her weary facade had lost any trace of aggression, and bore only that of confusion. "I - I can't remember." The hybrid shook her head slowly before dipping her muzzle down into her paws and closing her eyes tight. "There's nothing there... not even my name." A faint growl of frustration hit her words at the end, before she lifted her head.

Quil trotted into the den, blinking her giant eyes against the sudden darkness that surrounded her. "It is good to see you awake. For a while, I wasn't sure if you would pull through."
