Skah

After moments of silence from Incalia Skah simply stepped aside. "So be it. I will seek Risen out on my own."

He trotted a few yards away from the fae, raised his head to the sky and let out a long call to Risen.

His howl was not challenging, only informative. Telling Risen that he was here and wished to speak with her. After his howl he moved in the direction that Incalia had been showing him. He kept his pace at a slow walk.

Risen

Now done with her duties, Risen would address the new comer who had been calling her through her session with Kalaber. Her body held low, but a gleam was in her eyes as she stalked closer to the one who had been approaching the temple. When she got close enough she raised her head and tail, stopping where she was and calling out. "My name is Risen, Daughter of Vicious and Fallen, Alpha of the Shadow Haunters. What business do you have on our land?" She stared with cold yellow eyes into the other's. Awaiting his response.

Skah

He turned to look at her, his eyes calm and collected. He sat back as he looked her over, inwardly he smirked. She was a lovely and strong fae. Every fiber of her being screamed power, strength.

He smiled at her kindly. "I saw your battle from across the lake. Your clans strength is most intriguing..." He paused, voice lingering in thought.

"I was approached by a comrade of yours, A feathered ally by the name of Oraiyus. She extended an invitation to your land, and mentioned a possibility to join the Shadow Hunters. I fallowed your members from the lake, I've come to ask if Oraiyus's offer will be honored. Is there a place for me in your ranks?"

His eyes searched her for some sign. Though he had to admit he was much more interested in simply looking at her than looking for some sign of recognition.

Risen

Golden eyes flashed a moment with interest as her feathered messenger spoke out for the pack whilst they were in battle... This must be the enemy she screamed of.. obviously she was mistaken.. hopefully. Her position shifted a moments, orbs absorbing the male in with all his essence. Lips tore apart as her fangs glinted; barely, but there. "We only accept those who are loyal, those who are respectful to others. We are the Haunters, united as a whole. We work as one body, one unit, and we will not fall. Betrayal is the ultimate sin, and those who commit the act will be punished Justly by a punishment deemed from the Strategists. My question is.. are you willing to make this commitment? To stay true to the Haunters through war and through pain. Furthermore, Only warriors are allowed to breed, but they shall not see their children until after the children are grown and trained. Parents are a distraction to a warrior's mental growth, and a stunt to their ultimate size."

Ghoul walked by, his head level with his shoulders, eyes soft, body thick with rich muscle. Her paused and looked at the knew wolf before snorting a bit and continuing on his way... Where were the lions?

"There is also much diversity among us.. and none are to be made fun of, or degraded because of their family. Again, the Haunters are one.. You make fun of a deer, a bear will take offense.. especially since the deer play a big role... to either guard us... fight with us.. or heal us... Now... there are many different jobs for new members. You get to tell me which one you think fits you best... if your decision proves wrong, we will place you." She looked at a few passing snakes in the moat below them. "Warriors, the strongest of our strongest members. The front line in battle, they are the muscle of this body. Only warriors are allowed to breed. And you may not breed with any you are related to, we try to keep the pup breeding season in sync so that the mothers have all the same age cubs to work with. When I announce the next breeding season and how it will happen, you will be able to attend. If you so choose to be a Warrior...

Next is Guards, but only big animals are guards... deer and rhino... They are the hide, the armor of the pack... the eyes when we are at home. The snakes and gat

Next are the Mothers, which males cannot be... They are the parents of the pack, and the care of the body... Every pup who was born and raised here know the Mothers and respect them... and any joined member must respect them with just as much.. if you have children here... they will be the ones to raise and care for your children. Mother's have never seen battle, and they never will.. and they will never be associated with battle either.

After that, the Strategists... They are the head and brain of the body. Coming up with strategies in war as well as keeping the pack organized. When I pass, and when any leader passes, only will the Strategists be eligible to be voted as next alpha..."

Her eyes flashed at that moment, a smile crossing her lips.

"Even though I have children... they do not have a promised seat of power. There is no heirs to the throne of the Shadow Haunters... Strategists are usually leading the battle, they are front line as well but will typically call orders before engaging in fight.

Converters are the persuaders of the Haunters... as well as spies. They may be actors and actresses... or just very good with the words they select to tell others. Usually Converters are back up in battle, if we use a second or third wave, they are accounted.

Healers, for those who are too weak to fight, and not assertive enough to be a strategist. They usually like helping others, also normally shy, which you seem not much to be... They memorize potions for healing and care for the injured. Some of them also learn poisons to use against our enemies... Healers, along with Mothers, will never see the face of battle. They are to remain here... I fear if they move to the battle ground they will be overwhelmed with the need to help the injured, including our enemy... which we cannot have... so they stay with the mothers, during battle, the mothers need more eyes anyway... surrounded by guards, the mothers and healers look after the children."

After her speech, she relaxed her throat. Eyes soft and yet still holding the power within her.. just showing that she wasn't going to be pushy with him.. not unless she found bad traits.

Skah

His lips curled into a smile. Their hierarchy much more complex than any he'd seen before. Strange that they spent so much time with other animals. But, It was not in him to question it. Things were as they were.

He sat, listening to her as she spoke. Ears attentive, body relaxed. He smirked as he was given the choice to choose his place. He was used to fighting tooth and nail for it. But, His father was one of a kind.

"If the choice truly is mine to make. I should choose that of a warrior." As usual his voice was clam. His eyes watched her expression as he spoke. It couldn't so simple could it? Just ask and it shall be given. Things did not work that way. Not in his experience.

The thought made him nervous, muscles tense. But, to any passerby it would seem as if he were showing himself off. In attempt to prove he was a worthy warrior. He had learned, years ago. You did not show such emotions. If his father caught wind of such things he would rip out his own sons throat. With out a moments hesitation.

Risen

There was a dangerous flash that passed her eyes as his nervousness arose. Oh yes dear, it is easy, easy to get in. To get out was a different story. You see, the Haunters are more of a mob. They see each other as family... There is only one way in, and one way out... Death was the only way out of the Haunters.

"Be mindful, there are no ranks other than Alpha and Beta... Others place themselves by just words and actions, but there is no recognized spots, You will still have to obtain respect... take a different approach to it from how you are use to."

She nodded to his choice to be a warrior. "Then a Warrior you are, but if you fail at fighting, you will be deemed another job by me, or any of the leaders at the time." She could feel it... the need to have her Warriors breed again. She nodded to her own thought before looking up at him. "Roam around, get to know people... You will also need to be taught the language of the Shadows." She turned and began to pad off.

At her leave, another female came up. She was black, sleek, and young. Her dull eyes, rimmed with a bright gold, looked up to the male with a half sneer smile. She had just run off their ally, Kalaber, but she had nothing against this male... Her body pure black other than silver tinges around her ruff and tipping her ears, she spoke out in a soft voice, keeping down her cackle, demon like vocals. "Hello there dear... My name is Cynical, Daughter of Wolfe and Silver Trace... What might be your lovely name?" She tossed her head a little, pompom tail waving gently behind her.

Skah

He smirked at the new beast. His eyes taking her in. His white fur ruffled slightly, mostly to show it off. His golden eyes blinked as he stared.

"My name is Skah." He said simply in response. His tail curled around to lay easily beside him. It was long and bushy. Nearly as long as his body was. Her watched her with a smirk.

Cynical

Night-kissed huntress smiled as the brute began to ruffle his fur, he was no where as big as some of the other males that held the name of "Warrior" but none-the-less he did look suited for battle. She admired his tail, oh how long and beautiful it was. Dull gray brown eyes flicked back to her own tail, normal length and rather thin in comparison. Wagging her tail for a moment she smiled again and leaned into him. Intaking his scent before backing away and sitting down. "You aren't from the valley, normally I can tell what area you have come from.. even though I am not suppose to go out on my own." There was a wink, it would be obvious that she was much younger than him. Not even a full year yet. She was the outgoing, rebellious type. But that's all the Haunters were... Rebels against tradition... Rebels against the rules of nature.. And she embraced the title that had been handed to her.

"Skah" She said, rolling it around in her mouth, she felt she was giving a bird's call from it. "Our feathered members will be able to pronounce your name more than the majority of ours... At least Ino will." She giggled a little, the Egyptian plover had a heavy accent, and most of her words were just blurs and slangs of what she was trying to say.

Looking up and into the tower, and then a thought came to her mind. "You might want to learn the Haunter Code... Huh? Risen eg i fymeog. Irr Haunters izy su gwyih su yipl uslyz em slyg sumfoy." There was another smile that flashed along her features. "But you will have to learn it first" She giggled.

Skah

He smirked as she asked where he was from. He's been wandering aimless for nearly a year. He was a long way from home. "This is a long way from my birthplace. I have traveled many miles. My home is a harsh land. Frozen still in the dead of winter all year round. We are survivors."

He listens to her speak of the other member, having trouble with his name. A small smile on his face. It was not often he found those that did not botch his name. It was something he was used to. His family all had unusual names, made of harsh archaic sounds.

His eyers perked as she spoke a strange language. Haunter code? Interesting... "What is that you speak? Some language known to your pack?" He asked curiously. His eyes watching the young female. She was spunky. He liked that.

Cynical

She smiled as he spoke of the foreign lands. She had been here her whole life and had mixed feelings about moving to a different land. This was her home, her lovely land. She laughed when he asked her. "It is the language of the Haunters, or, the language of the Shadows. Called, Rimfoify ut sly Glijuvg. I should not have called it a code... It is our language.. once learned, you are not to speak to any other Haunters in english... or at least the Alpha requests we don't. We can if we start misunderstanding, but we are to become fluent in it for battle." She looked up into his eyes. "If you want I can teach you. First I can teach that, E means I, happy is liwwa, sad is gij." She began to teach him.
