*Herd of Deer*
A small herd of deer graze, not really wary of the danger. A few old sick ones have laid down, trusting the wary eyes of the two does.
Quamia
She watches them critically. She wasn't a very large wolf, so it would be hard for her to hunt alone. But she needed to get food for her sister. Taking a chance, Quamia rushes at the herd toward the older ones lying down. She hoped to catch them off guard...
*Herd of Deer*
The two does give off a warning call, and the other deer sprint off. All accept for one. He was too old to run, but still struggles to get up. He has very large antlers, and could cause damage.
Quamia
She rushes toward the older one, knowing she has no hope of catching the others. When she draws near, she launches herself at him to knock him over and prevent him from getting all the way up... she was cautious of his antlers, and tried to aim behind his shoulder for the impact...
*Herd of Deer*
The deer struggles, swinging his large antlers back and forth, but he can't get up. His legs weren’t strong enough.
Quamia
She immediately drives her fangs for the animal's throat to severe his jugular veins so he would die quickly. Quamia growls as the antlers rake her side when she got too close to them, but the she-wolf didn't falter in her task to kill the deer...
*Deer*
The deer gives one last cry, swinging his head, before he dies.
Quamia
She grabs firmly a hold of the deer’s neck, and attempts to drag it back to her terra. The deer was too big though, and she was too small. She didn't want to leave it, knowing that many predators may come along and steal it. She quickly eats her fill, then tears off a leg and drags it back to her territory.
Glider
He feeds swiftly on the meal, then begins to laboriously drag it back to his pack's terra. He had allot of strength and stamina where he lacked in speed.
