Abyss

Abyss had come to get a drink, but when she saw the horses, she stayed. Watching Dentention getting hurt, Abyss growled. Heading over to the horse, she said, "Stay calm, and still. I can help. What happened, tell me specifically?"

Detention

Detention stared sideways at Abyss. "Well we were playing and I jumped over that log and when I landed my leg sank in this hole and my body flipped over it and now I'm stuck and it really hurts"

Abyss

Abyss shook her head, trotting to Detention's leg. Abyss grabbed a plant, it was onion. "Chew on it." Abyss demanded. "The pressure of chewing will take the pain off of the leg." Abyss then went to Dentention's leg, shifting weight. She began to dig around it. Wolves were expert diggers, being they had to dig dens. Pawful after pawful of dirt. Stopping, she had most of it out.

Detention

Detention chewed it almost greedily and with determination. He wtched as she dug around his leg.

Abyss

Abyss frowned. "Now, you must be strong. I want you to try and wiggle your hoof out. If you wish to be strong, you must make yourself stronger as a foal. This will help you." Abyss wanted to encourage the colt to be strong, and to try and build up muscle strength. This would help. Abyss had dug most of it, but towards the bottom was mud. If Dentention could not do this, it might mean something serious.

Detention

Detention nodded with determination and began pulling. The pain stiked as soon as he moved. He let out a heartsopping neigh, but it came out more like a scream. However, he continued to pull, yelling and screeming in pain the entire time. Finally after trying to escape for what seemed like ages, Detention fell to the ground panting and and sweating. "I- I can't"

He breathed and looked defeatedly up at Abyss.

Mahala; Koki

Mahala, hearing the colt, exited the temple and looked around. She, being a human, was capable of doing things that animals can't do.

She carried a rope with her, as well as her pack. Koki, her trusty mule, walked beside her. Mahala looked at Abyss and Detention, holding out the rope.

Koki snorted. "She means to ask you if we can pull the colt out with the rope." He said indifferently.

Prisoner .+. Viyanna

The two mother horses had heard the cries of their children and came rushing up to the group. Snorting in fear Viyanna squeeled. "What happened? Ritual, come here!" She beconed for her daughter to come to her side. Not wanting the filly to end in the same fate her little brother was no in.

Prisoner snorted and plungned where Detention was, "Detention what happened? Are you alright? Can you move your leg?" She feared he hadn't broken it, but she couldn't be sure until she watched him try and apply pressure to it.

Wide eyes looked to Koki as Mahala offered to tie a rope around the foal. "No! I mean, it will hurt him, wont it? Will he be alright?" Her words flew out of her mouth at a million a minute, she was terrified of what might happen to her son, what would happen if he went lame for the rest of his life?

Mahala; Koki

Koki shook his head, his somewhat long mane blown around by the wind. "No, no...she makes what she calls a harness. She puts it on the colt in such a way that it won't cause any harm. Then she ties it to me and I pull the colt out. It's completely safe." He reassured the mare. He could barely understand her fear, but figured that it must be her maternal instincts. "Don't worry, Mahala knows what she's doing. She wouldn't do this if it would hurt your son."

Abyss & Nightshade

Abyss frowned. "The mud is worse...Where in the world are we standing?" Abyss turned to the others, ears flattening. Abyss dug at the hole more, Detention's ankle was still 2 inches embedded into the ground. Dammit. "Do it, the dirt closer to his ankle is hard, and no horse, nor wolf could dig it out easily." Abyss grabbed more herbs, offering them to Detention to chew when Mahala would do something.

Nightshade, trailing behind Prisoner, shuddered. "Its okay, Detention! The human can save you!" Nightshade stood beside Detention, offering the colt his reassurance.

Mahala; Koki

Koki looked at Mahala with the 'go ahead' look on his face. This said that the other horses agreed.

Mahala nodded, slowly making her way toward Detention. She tied the rope around the colt in such a way that he would not be harmed, then did the same to Koki.

Koki didn't move until after Mahala had harnessed him. Once that was finished, he looked back at the colt. "Hang tight, young one. It is important that you don't panic." He then began pulling. Being a mule, he could pull more weight than most horses. Surely, Detention would be out of the mud in no time.

Detention

Detention watched them all with fear filled eyes. He had clenched his jaw tight. All he did was mumble that he was ok when prisoner came to his side and he arched his neack to cudle next to her for comfort.

He pinned his ears back for a moment when the human came forth but allowed her to tie the rope around him.

As she began to pull he screamed in pain but quickly held it back.

Darkia and Mikia

Darkia and mikia both came over the little filly nickered.

Prisoner

The mare nuzzled her son lovingly as he motioned toward her. "It'll be ok, trust this human. Oh..." She was confused, her ears pinned and the whites of her eyes began to show clearly. Nostrils flared up as she watched and saw the pain of her son.

"W-Wait" She cried, But Viyanna rested her head on her mother's withers. "Calm down, it'll be ok." Prisoner was helpless now, and didn't want to see her son in pain any longer.

Mahala; Koki

Mahala guided Koki, who pulled as hard as he could to get the colt out of the ditch. His hooves scraped against the ice, greatly slowing him down.

Mahala walked back to Detention and held the colt in a safe position while the mule pulled him out.

Ritual

Ritual shook her head siulently.Then looking up she saw her mom.Fear in her eyes she went over to her.The filly then watched as they tried to help her uncle Detentnion.She shivered when she heard his calls of pain.She tried tpo hide her face in Vinyanna's mane,and tears sdtarted to fall down her face silently.She blamed herself for Detention's accident.

Detention

Detention had remained completly silent, not wnating to seam weak infront of the gathering crowd. Soon he was far enough out that he just shoved his legs under neath him and pushed up yanking the horridly wounded leg from the mud. He fell over and screamed a blood curtling neigh ringing through the air. The pain proved too much and the young stallion blacked out.

Mahala; Koki

Koki stopped when the colt was out. He stood calmly and allowed Mahala to remove the harnesses from both Koki and Detention.

Mahala then approached the colt, trying to see what kind of damage had been done. She feared that Detention would have to get help from the vets.

Ritual

Ritual heard Detention's scream and turned to look.Seeing him not moving when he blacked out she thought he was dead.Her breath caught in her throat till she saw him breathing.The white in her eyes showed as she stayed by her mom in fear."Is he going to be okay,"she asked Vinyanna silently.Tears still came down her face slowly.

Prisoner .+. Viyanna

Prisoner screamed as her son fell to the ground. Rearing up on thick hind legs, she pawed the air furiously in front of her. "What happened!? What did she do!?" She cried out and lowered her head to her son, her crimson body trembling as she quickly motioned at the human to get away. Her ears fastened to her pole and her eyes grew fearsomely wide. She opened her mouth and gave a scream to the girl to get away.

Then she let her legs fail beneath her and she laid near her son. Caressing his neck and face with her soft upper lip. "DT" She cried solemnly. "Detention, please, wake up." She snorted and looked up to her daughter and grand daughter, unsure of what to do.

Viyanna comforted her daughter; holding her dearly with her head. "He'll be alright, honey, he'll be just fine." But there was a small tone of doubt in her voice. If he was lame, he wouldn't be able to lead a normal life. He would be little help the the haunters as anything other than a healer. She wondered what kind of healer a horse would really be able to make.

Mahala; Koki

Mahala stepped back, at Prisoner's wishes.

Koki snorted and shook his head. "Mahala can help." He stated.

Detention

Detention remained motionless on the ground for what seemed ages. But after a while he slowly begon to come to and he looked drowzilly round at the spectators all around him.

Ritual

Ritual ignored her mom.Taking steps forward to where Detetion and the others stood.Turning she tried to look Prisoner in the eye."Why not let her help if its the only hope we have,"she asked her.Her face still held tears,but determination as well.She won't give up that easily.If D.T. didn't heal she always blame herself.

Prisoner

She held her son, as if to hold him still to let his world stop spinning. As if to hold him till the end of time. When her grand daughter walked up to her, the older mare snorted and pinned her ears. "I-" She couldn't speak, it was fear that was driving her now.

Viyanna listened to her daughter, and then looked to her brother and mother. "Mom, I think you should let the human take a look at him." She said softly. Prisoner glared at her daughter, but her look was only returned with a strong sincere look.

After moments of coddeling her child, rocking him back and forth to comfort him. "Fine-" She snorted and looked at the human, Distrust flooding her eyes. "Tell your human to fix him." She snorted to Koki, she wouldn't normally be so rude, but her fear had instilled her instincts not to be patient.

Mahala; Koki

Koki nodded to Prisoner. He could understand why she was acting this way. Her son was injured. He snorted to the human.

Mahala slowly stepped forward and crouched down to examine Detention. She had to see what kinds of injuries he had so she could figure out what to do.
