Ceaora
Ceaora stood squarly at the edge of the moat that supposedly surrounded the territory of one of the most feared packs in the valley. Her large, slightly floppy ears twitched with antisipation to ever sound that stirred around her. Her thick white fur ruffled lightly in the breeze that winded through the roots that grew in and out of the crumbling ruins. Ceaora dropped her brown splashed nose to the edge of the moat, giving it a curious sniff.
Her long legs pranced back and forth as she in hailed these strange scents. It made her blood boil, to journey into unknown and dangerous grounds. As a young half wolf, this is the thrill that she lived for. Her long bushy tail swished back and forth with her growing impatinece to meet this pack with a cause as noble to her as the moon that her ancesters cried to in the mid of the dark night.
Orinoco
The massive Yacare Caiman patrolled the moat, gliding effortlessly through the slushy water. Normally, she'd be in the Temple, but with the threat of war, she wasn't taking any chances.
Not wanting to scare off a potential member, Orinoco slowly approached the canine. "Greetings, she wolf. I am Orinoco, member of the Shadow Haunters, on whose territory you stand." She said with a toothy smile. "We are a bit wary of strangers around here. Please tell me your name and why you have come."
Breathless
A large, 40 foot, reticulated python slithered through the water. She too was on the look out for enemies. With the upcoming war, her mind was on alert and she was ready to attack any and all who posed a threat to her home.
Spotting the mother dragon, Breathless moved along the water and up the shore where the hybrid stood. Her tongue flickering out of her mout as her dark colored eyes staring intently. "Hello sstranger. What brings you to the land of the Haunters." She looked down to Orinoco, begging that if this wolf were an enemy, if she could please have her for her winter meal.
Ceaora
Ceaora was not too concerned with the reptile’s presence, but the python gave the dog-wolf a rather...unpleasant feeling. Her ears flicked to lay back agianst her skull, more of in submission than threatening. She lowered her head to the Mother Dragon, speaking in as calm of a tone as she could under the circumstances.
"I am Ceaora, an unclaimed hybrid that seeks the strongest of alliances. These, Shadow Haunters, I have heard are of such blood?"
Orinoco
Orinoco watched the wolf intently. Of course, the Shadow Haunters would always accept new members, but the almost-10-foot caiman wasn't taking any chances with the upcoming war. What if Kalaber sent this wolfess as a spy?
"Yes, the Shadow Haunters are strong and diverse. We are the strongest pack in the Valley, some say." She informed proudly. "I must ask if you have any enemies or allies before I let you in."
Ceaora
The hybrid shook her head, her thick white fur ruffling from side to side. "I have no allies, enemies, nor do I even belong to a pack. I am new to these lands, having come in search for will strong like yours."
Orinoco
The caiman had no doubts about this wolfess, but she would still use caution. "You may talk to our alpha, Risen. Would you like a ride across the moat?" She slid up to the shore so Ceaora could get on her back if she wanted to.
Ceaora
The wolfess bowed her head and shuffled over to the shore of the moat. Mindful to watch where she was stepping, she eased onto the reptilian's back. "It would be much appreciated."
Orinoco
Orinoco was instinctively about to submerge, but stopped herself before she drowned the hybrid. She glided effortlessly along the surface until she reached the other edge of the moat. There she stopped, allowing Ceaora to get off. "I am sorry I cannot come with you the rest of the way, for I must stay and patrol the moat. Just walk into the Temple and ask for Risen." She said with that characteristic toothy smile of hers.
Ceaora
Ceaora returned the smile, the corners of her muzzle turning up to express her gratitude. "Thank you for your assistance." She then turned her attention to the temple entrance, and gathered her long legs beneath her to bound off in that direction.
Breathless
Breathless watched as the wolf crossed the river atop Orinoco's back. Her forked tongue lashing violently around her scaly lips before the edges of her mouth were tugged into a slight smile. There was something she had to do, or at least attempt again: Breathless wanted to provide a clutch of babies for Haunters. She had failed last time to find a male her size, hopefully this season would be different... Hopefully.
