Lark Volkov; Aiara
Lark stopped before she reached the Ruins. She wasn't stupid. She knew not to go in there alone. At least not without observing first and making mental notes of the dangers. She stood still, her gray eyes darting back and forth as she surveyed the area.
A dog sat faithfully beside her, making her own notes of the Ruins. She could smell not only other canines here, but cats, bears and even reptiles.
Kagura & Kiju
The 1 and half year old female cheetah raised the young polar bear out of the place.She came to a halt when she saw the dog and human on the other side of the river.She hissed and her hair stood up.
Kiju who was only half his full grown size came to a halt. He was still big of course. He was bigger then kagura and that dog and when on two legs nearly reached the humans height. He twisted his head to the side to let out a disturbing roar.But then the cheetha and polar bear began to wrestle with each other. Others would surely be on their way now to check out what the problem was.Though the two kept a wary eye on the two
Lark; Dimitri; Mahala
Lark watched the creatures carefully, always ready with her rifle. She was about to take a step closer until she heard hoofbeats. She wondered what kind of person would be riding a horse out here, and then it hit her. She had been followed. She turned around, which wasn't a good thing to do, as now she was vulnerable to Kagura and Kiju. "Ukhodi! Go away!" She snapped hatefully. She knew Dimitri only wanted what's best for her, but sometimes he went overboard.
Dimitri jumped off of Kolya's back and led the horses and dogs toward Lark. "Ia prosto khotel ubedit'sia, chto vy byli v bezopasnosti. I just wanted to make sure you were safe." He said truthfully.
Lark was about to punch her cousin, but something stopped her. She could almost feel somebody's eyes staring at her. She turned around to see a girl, no older than 11 years. "This is our territory. Get out." She said bluntly.
Lark was confused. How could a human, let alone a little girl, live in wolf territory with all different exotic animals. She was speechless for a long moment while she tried to process all this. "Who is your leader?" She asked.
Mahala frowned when the humans didn't leave. "My leader is the Queen Wolf. She has another name among the wolves, but, being a human, I do not know it. I am Mahala, daughter of Raven Feather and Erin Pembroke. Leave or you will be sorry." She replied, getting angry.
Kiju and kagura
Kiju stopped playing when the uman child came out.he felt he needed to make sure she was safe and kiju moved up beside her and nudged her hand.He looked at the human.Kiju's mother and brother heard the noise but for a moment remaind hidden.
Kagura she too came up beside the human child and nudged her other hand.She hissed at the other humans.
Mikhail Bakunin & Others
Mikhail had his rifle with him as they set off for the Ruins, as well as the ever-handy cellphone. He was not happy about Dimitri following, but thus far he had not made any comment to the man. If anything, he would avoid getting into a scrap with Lark's cousin, and disrupting a potential group of allies.
"A polar bear? Now that is an interesting sight." The Russian mused, fingering the trigger of his riffle, but keeping it pointed downward for the moment. "And a chee-" As he was looking over the curious array of creatures, an even more interesting one came forth. A human. And his interest only spiked when she went on to talk, "Mahala is your name? And how long have you lived here in this Valley."
The polar bear's roars hadn't gone unheeded. The ruddy-hued hybrid came sprinting from the Temple, then slowing as she reached the moat. Her mustard eyes were fixed warily on the three humans before she raised her muzzle and howled out an alarm.
Lark; Mahala; Orinoco
Lark aimed her rifle at Mahala, staring icily at the girl. "Answer him or you die." She said, beginning to shiver as more creatures gathered around.
Mahala looked from Lark to Mikhail, a bit unsure. "I have lived here for most of my life. I was born in the east and came here when I was about three." She replied, stepping closer to Kagura and Kiju. They would protect her, she was sure. "And I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't come so close with those weapons. The river dragons don't like guns."
Lark looked at Mahala as if she were crazy, until she noticed the young caimans and alligators in the moat. "Oh crap...crocodiles..." She said as she stepped back.
Orinoco looked up at the humans. If they made one wrong move, they would be dead.
Mikhail Bakunin & Others
He quickly concluded that Mahala wouldn't know that Shasta was her sister, unless she had kept in ties with her ailing mother. In any case, he tucked this surprising bit of information away to reveal to Ben later. And undoubtedly, he'd somehow use it against Shasta, and Mahala. "No worries, Mahala." Despite being rather outnumbered, Mikhail remained the picture of calm as he had his rifle tipped towards the ground still, "Just trying to figure out who is who." There was something sinister and not all that friendly in his tones, despite the little half-smile that was showing on his face.
Monarda let her paws step into the edge of the cold water, eyes fixed on the two men. Her hackles had gone up, and a faint snarl played in her throat, "If they dare get near the water, Orinoco, don't hesitate to drag them under."
Lark Volkov
Lark kept her rifle aimed at Mahala, ready to pull the trigger if needed.
Alonya, Edik, Natasha, Zhenya and Vanya, the pack of Siberian Laikas, stood beside Lark and growled at Monarda. "Watch what you say around us, you maggot-breath worm-infested flea-bitten bug-bait germ-covered rabid mutt!" Vanya snarled, his hackles raising. Snow collected neatly on his black coat and his breath could be seen as he bared his teeth. "Don't take a step closer or you and your high-and-mighty pack will all learn what it's like to be thrown from that throne of yours."
Aiara stepped back behind Vanya. She wanted no part in this.
Mahala looked at the dogs, then at Lark. "I'd suggest calling your dogs off. My pack doesn't like intruders, especially those who act like they own the place." She said matter-of-factly. "Your friends are wise. They are not aiming their weapons at me." She glanced at Mikhail and Dimitri as she said this.
Lark stepped closer to the moat, shifting her gaze between the animals and Mahala. "No. My pack is loyal to me. They wouldn't sit back and watch me get attacked by a bunch of dirty beasts." She replied distastefully.
Dimitri followed his cousin, surprised at what she had just said. It looked as if she was going to get them all killed. "Lark, be careful what you say..." He mumbled.
Incalia, Onslaught, Litharaz
A low, gutteral growl signalled the arrival of the Gamma, her mighty head lifted in an arrogant display of rank as she strode towards the group. Her gums were pulled back to reveal her blood-encrusted fangs in aggression to the trespassers. "You watch what you say, you pathetic carcass!" she roared, a sinister snarl laced into the back of her authorative voice, "Who the fuck do you think you are to come barging in here and insult our family!?"
Onslaught arrived next, his posture a complete mimick of his mothers, just without the ominous flash that was always present in Incalia's eyes.
Blood was still around Incalia's muzzle, and chest, from the earlier torture of Coriscan. It just added to the powerful atmosphere she seemed to radiate at all times. "I'd like to see you try and take us down, pup. Now get out, or we'll end your miserable lives."
Litharaz, the stocky shepherd, moved to stand near to Monarda.
Vanya; Others
Vanya snarled back at Incalia. "I'll say whatever I want, dirty savage." He taunted. "We are under the leadership of humans. That gives us every right to rule over you, as humans are supreme."
Zhenya stepped up beside his packmate, his eyes flashing dangerously. "What makes you think our lives are miserable? It is your lives that are miserable. You are owned by a sniveling coward of a wolf. Where is the one so lofty as to call itself your leader and never show up when its pack is in danger?" He snarled.
Kiju,Kagura,Hura,Frodo,Jiju
Kiju stood up on his hind end when the dogs said they had every right to rule over them.Get a life,Humans are not surpreme they are nothing but parasitesHe said
KaguraShe stayed close to the human and she hissed.
Another Polar bear emerged this one bigger. She was the mother of kiju and jiju.She came running up and stood on the edge of the water.Filthy humans!She roared standing at full height.
Frodo the Grizzly bear didn't really want any part in this but seeing his pack mates being threatened by mangy dogs made him come up as well he stood up on his hind end.He roared.
Jiju the gentler of the two brother polar bears came up beside the human child and nudged her saying if she wanted to she could sit upon his back.
Lark Volkov
Lark was starting to get nervous. She glanced at Mikhail, then suddenly pushed Dimitri away and fired two shots at Hura.
Now Dimitri had no choice. He would have to fight the Haunters, now that Lark had started something. He picked up his rifle and aimed it at Incalia, ready to fire at her if he needed to.
The dog pack wasn't taking any chances. Vanya nodded to his packmates, signaling that it was time to fight. Aiara shivered and jumped into the freezing water.
Orinoco was slower now that it was cold, but she was still a force to be reckoned with. She lunged at the West Siberian Laika, taking the dog in her jaws.
With Orinoco distracted, the remaining five dogs saw their chance and took it. They jumped into the water, their thick fur protecting them from the cold, and eventually made it to the other side. The five stood still and waited for another command.
Lark gasped when her dog was taken by the caiman. Filled with rage, she fired down at Orinoco, and the bullet went deep into the thick hide on the reptile's back. She then turned her attention back to Mahala. "You have five seconds to call that gator off or I'll blow your brain out."
Mahala stood strong, not saying a word, but she made it clear through body language that she wasn't doing anything Lark asked of her.
Hura
Hura took a bullet to her left shoulder and let out a deathly bellow.Jiju protect the human girlShe said and then waited for the dogs to surface.
Kiju let out his own bellow at the humans.
Frodo wasn ow on all fours waiting for the dogs.
Kagura hissed angerly.
Lark Volkov
Lark's eyes rarely strayed from Mahala. "Tell that gator to let go of my dog!" She ordered again. "This is your last warning!"
Mahala simply shook her head. "No." She replied defiantly. "Your dog was on our territory. The river dragon is only defending her home."
Lark clenched her teeth and pulled the trigger, quickly sending a bullet into Mahala's forearm. The young girl fell to the ground, screaming in pain and clutching her wounded arm.
Dimitri looked at Lark, wondering what she was thinking. "Are you mad, Lark?! You just shot a little girl!" He snapped.
Lark looked at her cousin, frowning. "She was barely human, Dima. She lives with the wolves and acts like a wolf, so she is basically a wolf in a human's body."
"Yeah, maybe in your twisted mind, but in reality she's a human! A little girl who you just shot! I mean, it's bad enough to shoot a bear, but-" Dimitri's sentence was cut off when Lark aimed her rifle at him. "Do you want the same thing the wolf girl got? I don't think so." She said angrily before turning her aim back to the Haunters.
The dogs stood on the same side of the moat as the Haunters, staring at them, daring them to make a move.
Kiju
Kiju immediatly moved and covered the little girl in his body though only lightly.He roared out.He then moved to the side to block her from view.
Hura roar and lunged for the dogs now aiming to bite any of them.We have the right to attack anyone who tresspasses and threatens our family, That basterd human just shot two of us now you will all pay
Jiju as well moved to the little girl.
Kagura stayed by too.
Frodo lunged for the dogs as well.
Lark Volkov
Orinoco submerged, waiting for the human to take her attention off of the water.
Edik stood in front of his sister and mother, stopping Hura from attacking them. Instead, he was bitten by Hura. His scruff was in the bear's mouth.
Alonya and Natasha growled, lunging for Hura, trying to sink their teeth into her flesh.
Zhenya and Vanya were luckier. While Frodo's claws barely grazed Zhenya's flesh, the smaller and quicker dogs managed to get a good 15 feet away from the massive bear. They look back at him, as if they were daring him to come closer.
Kiju,Jiju,Kagura
The two male polar bears kept to the little girl while Kagura seeing the two dogs run faster then frodo she grined.She stalked closer to them.Oh so you can out run him, But You can't out run me so what will you do now?She said and then charged them.
Frodo too charged them .He may be big but bears could go fairly fast for their size.
Hura:Growled but the dogs teeth that she felt did nothing at the moment and she swung her head around and bit down hard on the one in her mouth. Then she made to throw that one in the water and then she turned her attention onto the two on her.She bit at Alonya trying to get her in her grasp and swatted at Natasha.
Lark Volkov
Zhenya and Vanya snarled at the cheetah. "You may be fast, but we are stronger. How long can you keep up your speed?" Vanya taunted, stepping to the side. Zhenya wasn't so lucky. He was hit by Kagura, but quickly fought back, snapping at the cheetah wherever he could.
While Frodo was stronger, Vanya was faster. Siberian Laikas were bred to hunt many animals, including bears. They were experts. Vanya ducked down and leapt for Frodo's face, jaw or throat - whichever one he could get a hold of.
Edik yelped as he was thrown into the water. Blood leaked from the wound on his back and mixed with the water around him.
Alonya stepped back before lunging at the bear's face. Natasha felt Hura's claws rake across her flesh, causing blood to run down her side. She immediately lunged for Hura's belly.
Lark watched as the battle went on around her. She fired at Frodo, then at Kagura, and was about to fire at Hura when she was stopped abruptly.
Orinoco lunged out of the water, grabbing Lark's leg in her jaws. Ori then attempted to drag the human under the water.
Dimitri wasn't letting his cousin go. He knocked Ori on the head with the stock of his rifle, right between the eyes, causing her to let go. Lark scrambled a good distance away.
Hura
Hura let out a scream as she felt a dogs muzzle on her stomach.Which in turn caused her to swing and move which avoided the other attacker.Then she plopped down hoping the crush the dog with her weight while swinging her massive paw at her other attacker.
Kiju and jiju watched on as their mother was being attacked.Kiju soon raced forth for the free dog that was going originally for his mother face.He lunged for thedogs back.
Frodo felt a bullet pierce his left hind leg and he first collapsed from the innital shock and then stood up and growled.Though in a slight way that helped him dodge the dogs attack and he took his chance and aimed to grab a back leg.If he succesfully got one he would stand up on his hind leg though very unsteady for his left hind was bleeding.
Kagura being quick had heard the fire and had moved and now lept for the dog.Strength isn't everything
Lark Volkov
Natasha yelped when the bear's weight was upon her. While it was only her hind end under Hura's body, it was still very painful.
Alonya snapped at Hura's face and eyes.
Vanya jumped back before lunging at Frodo's neck.
Zhenya snarled as Kagura bashed into him. "In a true battle, strength is the only way to win. How else would you kill your opponent? Running around in circles?" He taunted mockingly.
Kagura
She snorted.Oh please strenght is only one aspect of a creatureShe laughed.She then grined.Wanna test that?She snicckered and then started running circles around the dog.
Hura growled as she felt the dog attacking her face.She made to bite it at once when it came at her face again.
She did not stand up she kept all her weight on the dog under her
Kiju rushed at Alonya.Leave my mother aloneHe growled.
Jiju kept his gaur up.
Frodo swung his leg out in which the dog now had a hold of and he made to bite at the dogs head.
Lark Volkov
Zhenya couldn't help but laugh when Kagura began running in circles. He simply sat down and watched her. "What's that supposed to accomplish!" He laughed.
Alonya stepped away from Hura and now turned her attention to Kiju. She snapped at the bear's shoulder as he plowed her over.
Vanya thrashed his head, hoping to tear off a chunk of flesh. He felt Frodo's teeth go into his scruff, but that didn't stop him at the moment.
Lark looked at Mikhail. "We have to get out of here. These...things are too strong." She said, still in shock.
Hura
When the other pulled off she stood up and moved and growled at the dog that was beneath her.
Kiju growled as the dogs teeth gripped his shoulder. Being only about 3 years old he had yet to be in fights like his mother so his pelt wasn't use to the beating.He swung his paw at the dog.
Frodo once he felt scruff in his mouth he made to throw the dog either across the river or into the river.
Jiju:He growled out and roared.
Kagura grined.Oh you'll see.Indeed her circles where getting smaller but only by a tad at the moment which would trick anyones eye.when with in feet of the dog she lunged for the thing neck.or thigh.
Lark Volkov
Natasha whimpered when Hura moved away, but she stayed where she was.
Kiju's claws hit Alonya's side and left a nasty gash in her flesh, but she was determined and kept her hold on the bear.
Vanya snarled when Frodo threw him. That probably wasn't a wise decision, as the dog had his teeth in the bear's flesh. Hopefully, he had ripped a chuck off as he flew through the air and landed on the other side of the moat.
Zhenya simply laughed and jumped out of the way, staring at Kagura. "Haha, nice try, but you lose." He snapped.
Kagura
She snorted and shook her head.How have I lost? You haven't even put one scratch on me!She laughed and then ran full out at the dog and swiped at it with her claws.
Frodo had some skin taken but not a great lot.He growled and licked his wound and then stood gaurd ready.
Kiju growled and now just stood there for a second thinking.Ah your such a parasiteHe said and then ran and dove into the water.He knew the caimens and crocs wouldn't harm him but he couldn't gaurentee the dogs safety. The only part of him that was out of the water was his back side. and his mouth.
Hura watched. She was tired because of the bullet wound.She watched her son.
Lark Volkov
Zhenya continued to laugh hysterically. "You would have used up all your energy. You are an easy kill now. That's how you have lost. Idiots never win in the real world." He knew that cheetahs couldn't run for very long without resting in between. He felt the claws across his forehead.
Lark pulled Vanya closer to her, mostly for her protection.
Dimitri had managed to roll Orinoco over onto her back and hold her there. With her stunned in that position, he walked out of the water and ran to Lark. "We have to call the dogs off and get out of here." He said, assessing the wound on her leg. Lark look up at her cousin. "They killed Aiara." She said, partly out of rage, but mostly out of sorrow.
Frodo
He was silent now and had crept toward Zhenya while the dog was focused on Kagura.he then lunged for the dog his teeth going for its back.
Kagura snorted.I haven't used it all If i had i would by lying downShe snarled not even looking at frodo.Why should she? That would just give it away.
Kiju then came out of the water on the humans side and glared.He reared but heard his mothe rand glared at the human before jumping back in the water and swimming back to the other side.He and his mother began to tend to each other though keeping an eye out.
Zhenya
Zhenya smelled Frodo and sensed his negative energy long before he saw him. He was wary. He knew there was danger, although he was unable to dodge the bear. Frodo got a hold on his back.
Frodo
Frodo then instead of throwing him made to crunch down on the dogs back.After doing that he tossed the dog in the direction of the water.He landed and his left hind was lifted alittle.he turned his head side ways and let out a roar followed by rthe polar bears.Hura wasn't suppose to even see fighting she was a mother but she wouldn't see others invade her home.
Hura stood up on hind legs and swatted her paws at the air.Kiju did the same and so did Jiju who stayed by the human girl
Zhenya
Zhenya growled savagely when the bear crunched down on him. He made himself go completely limp so less stress would be put on his bones. He was thrown into the water. He, Edik and Alonya quickly grabbed Natasha and swam to the other side, past the stunned caiman.
The dogs crowded around Dimitri and Lark, watching the enemies warily. Lark looked at Mikhail and Dimitri. "We have to get out of here." She said nervously.
Dimitri nodded to his cousin, suddenly turning around and grabbing two baby caimans which sat on the shore, basking in the sun. Arquen and Thief were their names. "I'm taking some of these with me." He had seen the power of the mother caiman, and figured that it would do good to have some around the house. He then whistled for the horses.
Zola trotted toward Dimitri and Lark. Dimitri looked back at Mikhail. "I see you didn't bring a horse. You can ride Kolya." He nodded to the paint horse. Lark was surprised. It wasn't like Dimitri to trust a stranger, let alone let him ride Kolya.
Dimitri lifted Lark up into Zola's saddle, then jumped up himself and waited for Mikhail.
Lark looked at Mahala with a look that clearly said: I hate you. Mahala sneered at the woman and stuck her tongue out. "Don't come back here." She said angrily. "Your friend is welcome, since he is the only one who didn't try to kill me or my pack." She nodded to Mikhail as she said this. "But you can never come back."
Koyla
Koyla though unsure of this other human understood that the man was to be allowed to ride him so he nudged the male and then waited.
Kiju,Jiju, Hura and Frodo all stood on their hind legs though frodo wasn't pushing himself to full height due to his injury.
Kagura hissed and stayed by mahala
Crystal Hollows.
Crystal had brought Daisy here.Seeing the stand off between the river she came over here.Silently and fast as a snake she pulled out a shotgun."Is everything okay here,"she asked.Sure she got in the middle of things sometimes but it was for the good.She had another shotgun and bullets incase she needed them.
Dimitri; Lark; Mahala
Dimitri stuffed the young caimans into Zola's saddle pack. He was startled by Crystal and aimed his rifle at her. "Yeah, we're fine. What are you doing out here?" It seemed odd to him that a woman would be out here alone, but he knew that the inhabitants of Atroe City were a little bit...different.
Mahala looked across the moat at Crystal. "Help! The crazy woman shot me!" She cried out, her hand over the bullet wound.
Lark looked back at the young girl. "Shut up, you little freak." She hissed.
Frodo
He let out a roar as lark spoke even if he couldn't understand her.
Kiju nudge mahala and then knelt down on his front end and nudged her to get on.
Jiju stood by
hura growled.
Daisy snorted.
Koyla waited.
Crystal Hollows
Crystal listened to what was going on.She looked at Dimitri as he aimed his gun at her.She didn't show no fear.She got down from her horse when the girl said she was hurt.She glanced at Lark when she spoke."Their's no need to calm someone a freak,"she said calmly.Reaching into the saddle bag she grabbed a small first aid kit.Opening up she grabbed a whistle and blew it loud.She was calling to her and her neigfhtbor's pack he would come to her incase their was trouble.Then she was about to go across the river to help the little girl when she spotted the camian."Can you promise me safe passanging so i can help you,"she called to the girl.Silently she showed the first aid kit,hoping the girl knew what it was,so she could help her.Silently she glanced at the other humans before she waited for an answer from the girl.
Lark Volkov; Dimitri Volkov; Mahala
Lark stared at Crystal, filled with rage. "No need to call someone a freak?! This girl and her circus team tried to kill me!" She snapped.
Mahala looked at Crystal. "Do not come closer. You are trespassing on the territory of my pack. If you do not leave, you will be killed." She warned. She didn't want help from another human. She only wanted the other humans to go away.
Orinoco, the massive caiman, lifted her head out of the water and hissed at Crystal.
Lark painfully jumped down from the horse and aimed her rifle at Crystal. "So you're going to help that little freak?" She asked impatiently.
Dimitri jumped off of the horse as well and pulled Lark back. "Get away from us." He said in a deathly tone. He really meant it.
Crystal Hollow,Amy,Zing,Wishstar,Starshooter,Cloverleaf,and Jena.
Crystal turned her eyes on Lark."Well by the look of it you both tried to kill each other,"she her voice still calm.She then looked at the girl when she spoke.Nodding her head toward her showing she understood.Wild animals are like that and she didn't blame them.Silently she stepped back when the camian hissed at her."Yes i was going to help her.Freak or not she still a little girl.An innocent little girl,"she said.She looked calmy at the Lark and Dimitri.She nodded her head to what he said.She stepped back to Daisy and got on her.Her gun stayed down the whole time.She didn't aim it at Lark or Dimitri when they aimed their rifle at her.She didn't believe in killing unless she had to.
The pack arrived just then.They gathered around Daisy and Crystal silently.They watched,but showed no sigh of attack.They wouldn't unless Crystal told them too.Starshooter,Wishstar,and Cloverleaf were part wolf as well.
Frodo
Frodo and the three polar bears roared at all the humans and swiped their paws in the air.
Kagura hissed
Koyle he snorted and reared slightly inpatient.
Daisy the mare pawed the ground.
Lark Volkov
Lark's eyes widened when Crystal said that Mahala was innocent. She was most certainly not innocent. Mahala had been in her share of wars and slaughtered her share of enemies. "You don't know anything about this situation! Stop pretending you do! I was only using self-defense!" She snapped.
Dimitri narrowed his eyes at Crystal. "That girl and her pack tried to kill my cousin FIRST." He said bluntly.
Five dogs crowded around Lark and Dimitri, growling at Crystal. The sixth one had been killed by Orinoco.
Crystal Hollow,Amy,Zing,Wishstar,Starshooter,Cloverleaf,and Jena.
Crystal stayed calm."Did your cousin do anything to offend the animals and girl,"she asked.Suddenly her eyes saw the dead body of the dog.She understood then.Lark and Dimitri were getting reveng."Two deaths don't make a right,"she said trying to sound calm.She looked at the angry animals,and nervous horses."Maybe we should leave these aniamls in peace,afterall we are on their territary,"she said sounding determined."I'm sure one dog dead is enough,"she said gently.She knew how it was to lose a pet.

Daisy now became unnerved and screamed and tossed her dial and bucked.

Lark was tempted to fire right now. She was most certainly not getting revenge. "What the hell are you talking about?! Why would I want to kill somebody?!" Yeah, now she was mad. She wished that Crystal would mind her own business.
Dimitri stepped in front of Lark. "Get away from us. NOW. You know nothing of this situation so I suggest you leave before you find a bullet in your head." He warned, aiming straight at the woman's head.
Crystal
Crystal landed on the ground when Daisy bucked.Her leg landed with a loud thunk and click.She knew she had broken it by the pain.Dang she thought.She glared at Lark and Dimitri when they spoke."Oh i would if i could now,"she said sarcasmim entering her voice.Her dogs had surrounded around her and Daisy protecting her.She could send Amy or Zing to get Jake,but she doubt they knew what she meant.She glared at Dimitri when he spoke."Go ahead you just find the law comming after you,"she said.Her pericing blue eyes stared at Lark and Dimitri challenging the two.
Daisy
The horse reared up and slashed the air. she hated men.Her ears went back.
koyla he snorted and shook his head.
Lark Volkov
Lark tried to run after Crystal and attack her, but was stopped by Dimitri.
Dimitri looked down at the woman. "Read the books. If I shoot out of self defense, it is not against the law. Either way, the law is always coming after us. You know why? We're strangers here. We're not welcome." The man said. "Oh, what I would give to be back in Russia. Wait, we're wanted there too, for another crime of self defense." Really, it was only Lark who was wanted back in Russia, although her cousins had followed her.
Lark stared back at Crystal with her cold, gray eyes. She was about to fire at Crystal, but was stopped when she felt a piercing pain in her side. Mahala had shot an arrow at her. She turned around to face the girl, snarling. "You'll pay for that, bitch!" She snapped. Her warning was empty, though. She fell to her knees.
Mahala looked at the older humans. "Now maybe you will know to leave when I ask you to." The girl said.
Dimitri carefully pulled the arrow out of his cousin's flesh. He looked over at Mikhail. "Come on, let's go now before these creatures kill us!"
Crystal
Crystal ignored the two."Daisy its okay,"she called to the horse in a soothing tone.Looking up when the aroow went for Lark."Amy,Zing go get Jake,"she said calmly.She was used to Pain and this wasn't much.She glanced at the girl and wondered how long before the girl would shoot at her.She couldn't blame the girl if she did."Jena,Wishstar,Starshooter,and Cloverleaf go with them,"she said.She knew she wouldn't have to send them,but if the girl shot an arrow at her the dogs would attack,and she didn't want that.The dogs shot off to Jakes house.She wondered if they even be able to get their.
Daisy
she didn't calm down she glared at the male helping the lady and she reared at him and slashed though wasn't close to him.
Koyla snorted and reared himself.
Lark Volkov
Lark stared at Crystal. "If you would have left, none of this would have happened." She stated, now letting her emotions get the best of her.
Now Dimitri wished that his brothers were here. They would have cleared the temple within seconds. "Oh great. Another one is coming?" He groaned.
Crystal
Crystal glared at them."Oh don't worry Jake's far different then me.Yall probly become freinds,"she said sarcasticly.She glanced at the young girl hopping she wouldn't get mad at them and shoot another errow.Hurry up guys she thought.She knew Jake wouldn't bring a gun unless he was out hiking.He didn't believe in that kind of stuff.He stayed out of peoples buisness unless it was his friend or family.

if those humans didn't have weapons she would of trampled the male already.

Dimitri walked closer to Crystal and stood over her. "I really don't think I'll become friends with your friend. I have no friends and I need no friends. I only need my family." He stated in a deathly tone.
Lark held her hand over the wound from the arrow. "We need to get back home." She said breathlessly.
Crystal,Jake,and pack.
Crystal looked up at Dimitri when he came closer."I wouldn't come closer if i were you unless you wanted to get pounded by hooves,"she said.She knew Daisy didn't like men ansd wondered if she try to strike at him since he was in perfect range.
Just then the pack came running in.They surrounded Crystal and growled at Dimitri lowly in warning,they wouldn't attack unless she commanded them.They were only warning.
A truck drove up attatched to it was a trailer.Jake got out a walked real slowly to the horse hoping he could get her in the trailer to help Crystal."Hi their girl,"he talked lowly and soothing.His hands reatched out gently to her,but would stop if she made any move of dislike.He knew how to work with horses.He has a mare horse that didn't like men either,but he had taimed her."Crystal are you okay,"he called to her.He said nothing to the man standing near her.It was none of his buisness.He only say something if the man made a move to attack Crystal or him.Also the dogs and horse.
Daisy
when the male did come over she made to kick him.Then her head turned to bite him. Her ears flat back. She had a scar over her right eye from the man who owned her before this girl.
Koyla snorted and reared but didn't charge forth he realized why the mare attack and well Dimitri seem to not be paying attention to the mares signs.It wasn't his place unless instructed.
Lark Volkov
Mahala looked at Jake. "Get out of my territory." She warned, readying another arrow.
Dimitri stepped back when Daisy bucked. "Napadenie! Attack!" He shouted to his dogs, Zola and Kolya.
Zola reared and stayed where she was, but the five Siberian Laikas all charged and lunged at Daisy.
Crystal
Crystal saw the dogs about to attack.She lunged forward ignoring the pain."Leave me horse alone,she was abused it not her fault,she showed you not to come closer,but you weren't paying attention.She would be attacked before the horse was.Her pack moved infront of the horse and Crystal."Back off their dosen't have to be a fight,"Jena said trying to get the dogs to stop.
Jake moved forward infront of the horse as well."Sir please call of your dogs and i'll get the horse,after all its not her fault.Your other horse hasn't attacked her as well cause she knows the reason why.This horse hates men,"he said trying to get the man to call of the dogs.He turned to the girl."Please i'm just trying to get the horse,dogs,and Crystal.Then we'll be gone i swear,"he said hoping the girl understood.He had no gun or any weapons.
Daisy
The mare screamed at the male that jumped in front of her but didn't strike out at him. Trying her hardest not to.Her head tossed side and to and if any dodgs didn get near she bite at them and whack at them with her hooves.
Dimitri Volkov
Dimitri glanced at Jake. "And why should I trust you? You're not one of us." He said in a low, dark tone.
Lark looked up, the pain unbearable. Everything was just a blur now. She could vaguely see and hear her cousin in the distance before she passed out.
Dimitri turned around to see Lark on the ground. He ran to her and put his hands over the wound from the arrow. "Mikhail! She's losing too much blood! We have to get out of here!" He shouted.
Mahala shook her head. "You should not have come in the first place. The woman trespassed on our territory. She dug the pit. Now she has to live in it." She said impatiently.
Crystal,Jake,and pack. and Sunholder.
Crystal looked up silently.She let out a low whistle.Sunholder appeared galloping toward them.He knew what to do.Turning to Daisy he snorted."Can you get in the trailer,"he asked hoping she knew what he meant.The pack calmed down and sat waiting for the humans to get in the truck so they could as well.Jake didn't understand what the girl meant about the pit."Please she has a broken leg i have to get her to the hospital,"he said.Silently he picked Crystal up and put her in the truck.Whistling for the dogs he waited to see if the horses would go in the trailer or not.The dogs were in the back of the truck.He glanced at the man and woman."Do yall need a ride to the hospital,"he asked trying to be nice.So far thew man had done nothing to make him mad,and so he would be nice and offer them a ride to the hospital.

Dimitri watched Jake suspiciously. "No. We don't need any help from a native." He replied bluntly.
Jake
Jake nodded his head.Getting into his truch he pulled out a medical kit.Silently he walked over to Dimitri and handed it to him.It held bandages and cleaning injuries salve he could use to help Lark."By the way don't worry its safe stuff,"he added knowing the man was suspicious of him.He shrugged his shoulder.He had done nothing wrong.

Dimitri looked at Jake suspiciously. "I appreciate the concern..." He began with obvious hesitation, "...but Lark's injuries are far too bad to be healed by a mere medkit. I am taking her to my broth--uh, a doctor." He didn't want to reveal too much information about his group.
Lark was still unconscious.

Jake nodded his head."Its help her till she makes it to the doctor,"he said being polite.Your brother whos a doctor he thought,but said nothing about it.He wouldn't be noisy.
Dimitri Volkov
Dimitri hesitated, but eventually took the medkit. He turned around without a sound and began cleaning Lark's wounds, waiting for Jake and Crystal to leave.
Jake
Jake walked to the back of the van and closed the trailer.Both horses were safly in.Goin around front he got in the car and drove to the hospitial.
Mikhail Bakunin & Others
He was oh so tempted to shoot Mahala, but there was one nagging thought that kept him from doing so. He was fairly certain that this was the sister of Shasta, and that she could later prove to be valuable leverage somehow. And so his gun had been aimed for the water and for the hostile animals on the other side of the moat.
"Lets get out of here." He stated gruffly, taking a step back as he turned his eye upon Dimitri. "Have your brother treat her." Unlike Jake, Mikhail wasn't as polite to keep to his own business. He would let this cousin know just what kind of a man he was dealing with.

Dimitri nodded to Mikhail, then lifted Lark up onto Zola's back. He jumped up behind her and pointed at Kolya. "You can ride that horse." He then rode off, toward the house.
