Aaka
Aaka moved into the land of the Ruins knwing fully well that all her friends were all ready here. Ghost Walker the tawny cougar moved beside her sitting his tail flicking back and forth. He could feel Aakas intensified anger. He liked it.
Cortinarri
Having received word from Aaka's brother, Cortinarri headed for the Ruins. She was determined to end this problem once and for all. Cortinarri had no intentions for a sudden attack, for she heard that Aaka was massing allies. A sudden attack may or may not kill Aaka, but would certainly throw her allies into the fray.
'Alright Aaka, lets finish this." she snarled, lowering her body and stepping stiffly forward, "This is between you and me. Leave them out of it." she snapped, glaring to Ghost Walker. She figured more were lurking nearby.
Hydras, Bullet, Narsia, Skeil, Yersinia
Hydras sauntered in with her head held high. Her brother and sister were at either flank, trotting with their heads held shoulder-height.
Skeil and Yersinia traveled just behind the three and out to the sides were they too could be seen from a front view. Hydras positioned her pack to make a semi circle around Aaka and Cortinarri. She was highly wary of the cougar, but didn't say anything yet.
Keilo
The beta male of the Silver Glades followed his alpha in and stood ridgedly behind her. Being of makenzi blood, he was one of the largest pure-wolves in the valley. With his hackles raised high, he eyed the enemies with great concern. If Manov and his friends did not hurry, Keilo knew they would not stand a chance.
Kiarra
Kiarra moved to stand beside of Skeil and Yersinia, looking at her competition. She had been in many fights and was rather good at it, she really didn't want a fight to start but would fight with all she had if she had to.
Vatoni
A weak howl could be heard in the distance. Keilo's mate, Vatoni was in trouble. The howl cam from the Vet Building at the Wolf Center and was never fallowed by a second.
Keilo
Keilo's body went even more tense as his ears shot around to the direction of his mate's howl. For a split second he hesitated, knowing how much trouble he'd be in if he left Cortinarri. But nothing in the world was going to keep him from helping Vatoni! Besides, Manov and his allies should be here soon enough. Without a word to the others, the beta turned and sped off to the Wolf Center.
Kanan
The adolescent had heard his mother's call while he was up at the Breve Ridges. On the way to find her, he got lost. After all, she had only howled once and he could not trace her the long way to the Wolf Center like his father could.
The youngster had picked up the scent of Cortinarri and his father and followed it. Hardly paying attention to where he was going, he bumped right into Aaka. With a muffled yelp of appology, he took a few steps back and nearly bumped into Ghost Walker. "..has anyone seen my mom?" he questioned uncertainly. He had know knowledge of the war going on, and remembered Aaka only as a sort of pack member. He had been a bit too young to understand the tension between her and Cortinarri when Aaka had been a part of the pack.
Aaka and Co
Aaka had been about to say something when Kanan bumped into her. Growling low and soft she made a movement. Moon Spirit the white she wolf came behind Kanan and stood her back turned to Cortinarri as she walked in front of him. "Why hello. You look lost. Let me help you" no intention of help was in her mind though. "Hydras. Take him. I got other things to do."
Hydras, Bullet, Narsia, Skeil, & Yersinia
Hydras narrowed her eyes slightly, not one who liked taking commands from others aside from Demon. She glanced quickly at her sister.
Skeil moved at the same time to grab at Kanan's neck, but not in a lethal fasion. Just to subdue him.
Bullet and Yersinia circled nearby, ready to help.
Cortinarri
Cortinarri had to act; she had to defend her home and her pack. "Leave him out of this!" she snarled in rage and made a rush at Aaka. Unlike their other bouts together, Cortinarri truly looked like a wolf with bloodlust. The utterly hate-filled tone of her snarl and the malignant gleam in her eyes showed this was to be a fight to the death. She only prayed that her mate would show up with all his allies, or she'd be done for.
With her top most speed and a huge boost of adrenhiline, the she-alpha aimed to slam full-force into Aaka and sink her deadly fangs into what ever flesh she could.
Aaka and Co
Damon moved to the open and smiled at Aaka. At seeing him she bristled and hardly saw Cortinarri comeing. When she did see Aaka leaped at Cortinarri both faes slamming into one another. Matched in weight and size this was going to be a battle worth seeing.
Moon said to Hydras "Dont mind her. It was probably the first name besides me that came to mind. How about you go fight Hydras. I know Aaka wouldnt mind seeing Damon dead
Cortinarri
She had enough sense, even through her nearly blinded rage, to keep her neck tucked slightly and back arched a bit so that her soft underbelly was harder to reach. Trying to swiftly duck her head past Aaka's, she aimed to sink her teeth into the fae's shoulder or neck. And contantly, she kept her own body driving towards Aaka so her challenger wouldn't have much opportunity to spring away without Cortinarri being right on her.
Kanan
Kanan gave a startled yelp and tried to pull away from Skeil, "W-what are you doing?!? Let me go!" he snapped lightly at her where ever he could, trying to make her let go.
Hydras, Bullet, Narsia, Skeil, & Yersinia
Hydras nodded to the fae, finding herself caught up in the excitement of battle. With a flicker of a smirk, she plunged past her comrads and began to circle Damon. "So you're Aaka's brother? I hear she's going to love to witness your death." The alpha taunted as she continued to circle him. She moved faster and faster, snapping now and then and watching intently for an opening to attack.
Skeil bit down harder, trying to diminish his airway. She didn't want him dead, at least not without her alpha's orders. It was easy enough to ignore the cuts she got from his fangs, because she had been in battle countless times.
Yersinia stepped in tried to grab one of his hind legs, so she could pull back and cause him to be off balance. That would help Skeil out.
Bullet stood and watched, wondering what to do. Once he caught himself admiring the fae's, and wondering which one he should talk to after the battle. Narsia saw him eyeing the other faes and gave a slight rumble, "Keep your focus on the battle, Bullet." she shook her head and began to circle around Aaka and Cortinarri.
Bullet pulled his ears back slightly at the chiding. Then he sauntered over to his alpha-sister and began to circle around Damon, but didn't attack. He would be back-up for Hydras.
Kiarra
Kiarra had a bit of sympathy for young Kanan, all he wanted was to know where his mother was. But only a bit of sympathy, that was it. Figuring that Skeil and Yersinia could handle Kanan she fallowed Narsia, circleing around Cortinnari and Aaka, snapping at Cortinnari's hind legs every now and then in a taunting way.
Vevisca
Following after Kanan, Vevisca came charging in with his tongue lolling out. He was suppost to protect Kanan and his sister while they were out exploring, but Kanan had run from them.
Now the hunter paused as he saw the mass of wolves, dogs, and... a cougar! And this wasn't even that ill-old Ice. He didn't have time to worry about that; his friend was in trouble. Growling an ominous tone, Vevisca rushed at Skeil to slash at her neck and stomach.
Aaka and Co
Before Vevisica could get near Skeil Death jumped and landed in front of him. He had been in the bush watching intently. He would go down fighting if neccassary. But he wouldnt allow this one to go through him.
Aaka wasnt searching for the neck or throat. She had her own tactics in mind. Feeling a sharp pain as Cortinarri grabbed her side just behind the shoulder Aaka dove for Cortinarris spine.
Damon snarled as the two circled him. He wasnt worried about the the second one. It was the alpha that made his adrenaline pump waiting for her move. He was very different from Aaka
Cortinarri
She squeezed down on the spot behind the shoulder, doing her best to force her teeth deep into the large muscles and tear them up as bad as she could. With her body arched as it was, it did leave her back a bit more open than she would have liked. A sharp pain told her that the fae's teeth had emebeded in her back, very close to the spine. Cortinarri thrashed her head and body, trying to pull Aaka's hold away from her back while also tearing up the flesh she had on Aaka.
Aaka and Co
Aaka stifled a yelp but barely as she felt her skin tear. She wouldnt give in. She could feel her blood running down her side.....but oh well. She would have to fix it later. She clamped her jaws down harder refusing to give into the pain.
Ghost Walker made his way over to them. Not trying to intimidate Cortinarri. But trying to frighten her. A cougars stare took alot of will to forget. Gently he to slapped at Cortinarris back legs
Cortinarri
She snarled deeply, trying hard to shrug off the pain that her enemy was causing. She gave a final squeeze to her bite before letting go for a split second to readjust her bite. This time, the alpha tried to place her teeth over Aaka's shoulder.
Her eyes flickered back as she felt the cougar hit her hind limbs. She tried to kick out at him, but there was little else she could do about it. It was rather distracting to have a cougar behind her, and it stole some of her attention from Aaka. She desperatly wished that her mate and allies were with her.
Vevisca
He was a bit startled to say the least, but not in any way less determined to save his friend. Without slowing down a bit, he planned to lunge straight into Death and knock him off balance. At the same time, his fangs sought out a hold on the beast's throat or face.
Spirit
Golden-hued wolfess rushes abruptly from the brush. So she had found them. She had never returned to the pack on behalf of her encounter with Mitya, and she now blamed this on Aaka. She had lost everything, and Aaka had never sought to find her. Aaka was no friend, at least, that is what she had decided when speaking to Akili, the gator. Nonetheless, she needed the pack, but knew without her allegiance or a good deed she would never be accepted back into the pack.
Or so she thought.
Narrowed eyes glint at the fighting, unsure what yet she wanted to do. Her blue optics flickered across the 'battlefield', she couldn't make her move, she was torn between two sides. She would wish to return to the packlands, but would die with no regret or sorrow here, for Cortanarri. That was her choice.
Or so it seemed.
Her eyes flash to the vaguely farmiliar alpha, to the well-known 'traitorous friend.' She didn't know if she was truly traitorous, but felt that she was all the same. She stood, unoticed, waiting for something, but she didn't know what. She had made her choice, but it stood on weak grounds, perhaps to sway to either side.
Manov and Co.
Manov walked in, his hackles were already rasied, this would be the last time they would all come together, this would be the end for one wolf. Pools glared down as he watched his mate and the enemie fight with intention to kill each other. His came to s stop looking down at them from his maw came a long hatered filled howl that rang throughout the Ruins.
Alpha fae walked up beside Manov, and continued with his howl then stopped and looked down at them, banner went high. Fangs bared as her orbs were layn upon Aaka, she still blamed her for what has happened to Mitya, what she was still recovering from. Ghost jumped down from the perch and strode over to where Ghost Walker was and snarled at him. "Back off, this is between them and not you." Auds piinned against her crania. She didnt care that he was a cougar, that he could kill her, nothing mattered besides her pups and family.
Azja and Akela walked in side by side, their strides matched perfectly. A little bit away from Manov they stopped and watched down upon the rugged ground.
The two brothers Angel's Sin and White Flame walked in and like Azja and Akela they were matched. Flame, like Ghost was an alpha and had his pack comeing.
Ice And Ridged Egde, the two that werent with the alliance. They came in from behind Aaka, Ice snarled at Ghost Walker and then at Cortinarri. Edge looked over them, he was once part of the alliance, both of them were; but they seperated made a pack with a few theres.
Blade entered and sauntered over to Manov's side and stood beside him.
Oh but two were missing, the two unknown where comeing. Death's Angel and Maverick. The two vixens stayed low and down wind of the fight, watching them, not yet announcing their precence.
Ratchet
Ratchet raced up, large ears pinned flat against his skull. It was hard to pick his packmates out of the chaos for he had just recently joined... However, he did remember Hydras, Skeil, and Kiarra. Seeing as Hydras and Kiarra seemed fine, Ratchet made his way over to Skeil, looking at her questioningly. He was a skilled fighter, but exactly which canines were friend or foe? His hackles were raised and it was obvious that his adrenaline had kicked in. All he needed now was to know who were the targets.
Aaka and Co
Ghost Walker just glanced at the fae and let out a snarl of his own. He smiled and said to her "Look behind you" there stood Miglisi the hidden lynx.
Moon Spirit walked behind Ratchet and said softly "Manov over there. He is an enemy. He is also an alpha. Ghost, Ghost, Azja, White Flame, Angel's Sin, Akela, Blade they are all enemies. Then thereis Ice and Riged Edge. I am not sure whose side they are on. All the others are friends."
Death snarled at the brute and felt a searing pain as the male got ahold of his shoulder. he whirled and grabbed for whatever he could get. Trying for the eye.
Vevisca
Vevisca couldn't help but give out a muffled yelp as Death's fangs came down over his face and hit an eye. He clentched his jaws tightly over the shoulder, trying to fracture or break the shoulder blade and perhaps hit the vital blood-passage that lay there under the muscels.
Hydras, Narsia, Bullet, Skeil, & Yersinia
Bullet made a rush at Damon, snapping at his hindquarters. At the same moment, Hydras plundged in with her body held very low. She tried to slam her heavy skull and shoulder right into the soft part of Damon's stomach to knock the wind out of him. Then she snapped for what ever flesh she could get.
Skeil made her grip tighter and tigher, trying to choke the youngster and make him pass out. The pit bull was against killing such an innocent victim, but she knew he could provide just the right kind of leverage in this battle if worst came to worst.
Narsia flashed a devilish grin towards Manov, then looked to Cortinarri. She stepped near the two fighting faes and stood poised to attack who ever tried to save Cortinarri.
Yersinia felt that Skeil had things under control. She stood near her mother, ready to attack and defend where needed.'
Kiarra
Kiarra stood on the other side of the fight, looking at Narsia and then back to Cortinnari and Aaka fighting. She was ready to stop anyone who tried to help Cortinnari as well.
Spirit
Spirit backed off a bit when Ghost arrived, the one she was at worst terms with here. But she couldn't help that she had come, she wanted to set things right, whether Ghost and the other alphas cared or not. She decided she didn't need the pack if they would not offer anything to her, she simply wanted to get back at Aaka and to do this.....you target friends....and allies.
She looked to Ghost with no emotion in her eyes, but a foreign look as if she had never seen something like her. Her eyes slowly turned to Kiarra. She was keeping anyone for inturrupting Cortinarri and Aaka. We will just see about that, won't we? A maliceful grin had appeared on her maw, something that she had never had before, but there was a first time for anything. She slowly approched the unknown fae, eyeing her down with a deep hunger. Only blood could cure this starvation. Some call it blood lust. She came very close to the fae, but did not act. She lowered a bit to the ground, then growled so low it was barely audible. "So.....you're an ally of Aaka's?" She still had that odd grin, but it now fadded. Her eyes turned cold. She eyed the others as well, ready for any other attacks. It was payback time.
Kiarra
Kiarra looked over at the other fae, making sure she kept her head low, protecting her neck incase Spirit attacked. Listening to her question she looked at ther coldly, "yes..but the only reason I am here is for my Alpha and pack" she said, watching the other closely. All over her body where scars, scars from older fights and new scars around her neck and shoulder. She was good fighter, yes, very good, and wouldn't think twice if Spirit attacked her, she would kill Spirit.
Aaka and Co
The Hunter also known as just Hunter trotted in and stood between Kiarra and Spirit. For once in her life she didnt feel like attacking but kept her body protected jsut in case. She growled deep in her chest as she said to Spirit "Do you know why Aaka didnt come searching for you? Most of the time she was to injured. The other time she was searching for her sister. But why am I boring you with this? Aaka will tell you the story later. Her other sister Moon Spirit there. She could offer you a home. She is leader of Sedge Creek. Now tell me if you thought that Aaka was so strong and powerful and she would go looking for you but she never did. So why didnt you go looking for her? She sometimes went back to the packlands where she had last seen you. She didnt go there just to cause fights. She went there to see if you were still there. And everytime I saw her even with a heart like mine it nearly shattered me. She looked betrayed Spirit. She looked as if someone should kill her. Part of that is why this is happening. Shes taking her anger out on everyone else. Her betrayal. Think about that before you go and attack someone on her side." her speech done Hunter trotted over to where Yersinia was and sat down watching ever so intently at the fight
Damon flew at Hydras not paying attention to the younger one until he felt a bite in his haunch. Ignoring it for now he attacked Hydras visciously trying to tear at her choulder or throat.
Aaka wasnt giving in. She wasnt going to let go of Cortinarri. Shifting she tried to get a better hold on the spine trying to break it.
Ghost Walker just smiled and unsheathed his claws and began to scrath at Cortinarris hindquarters sometimes worse than others
Spirit
As the other fae stepped in and gave her such a 'lecture', she held a low, deep throated snarl. She looked away from Kiarra and sprinted up behind her, face to face. She snarled again to The Hunter, her temper rising. "You need not explain to me why she didn't come for me! I care not anymore....I dont need her . But, I suppose I should explain myself."
Her glance was full of malice and ill intent, and directed right at The Hunter. She did not speak loud enough for Ghost or anyone else to hear, but only hunter could hear this. She growled softly. "You wanna know why I never came for her? Why I never returned to her? Why I never came to help Moon Spirit so long ago?" She held a barbaric look of curiosity in her eyes. "It was fear......yes, fear of all things......It was terror. I would not cross paths with Ghost.....never.....After what I'd done? And wounds are Aaka's excuse." She spat the last sentence with disgust. "I was dead if I came out of hiding, if Ghost found me and knew who I was, what I had done. I don't think she would appreciate the condition Mitya may be in. I don't even know if she is alive or not!"
She finnished her little lecture of retort on Hunter and merely added, beginning to pad back and forth in front of Hunter, ready to attack her at any given time. "If I didn't owe my life to Ghost, I might be on your side. But what I took away from her because of Aaka? She had never told me we were attacking allies, and that is her fault, not mine. I will not carry a grudge any longer. I came here to hurt her as she hurt me, my spirit, and what was left of my pride and dignity." Her voice quivered, she was done talking. She had come here to get revenge, not make 'Martin Luther King' speeches. The ranting of Hunter had bored her. she added with a normal tone.
"Aaka can't tell me her story if she is dead."
She had truely thought of Aaka as a friend, but that was over. She would watch her die with no regret.
She needed to kill something, anyone to get revenge on Aaka. She had fought many times before she had come to this land, some visible scars said so. Scarring gashes above one eye was all she had left of Mitya. Ivories were barred, hackles raised, neck tucked back as she was low to the ground. She wanted to kill this wolf that gave explinations for Aakas desertation.
Cortinarri
She felt the teeth of her foe dig deeper, coming closer to the spine. But thick winter fur and muscle saved her for now. But if Aaka continued the bite, her spine might well be broken soon. Her jaws clenched tighter against Aaka's shoulder blade, longing to hear a snap. Whether she broke the bone or not, the alpha suddenly shifted her bite.
With Aaka having a hold on her back, Cortinarri twisted her head to the side just a few inches to grab at the lower end of Aaka's neck, which she was sure to reach unless Aaka suddenly let go and sprung back. If she gained this hold, she bit down and thrashed her head and body. She felt the hot pain of the slashes from Ghost Walker's claws, but still, there was little she could do about it but kick out at him.
Hydras, Narsia, Bullet, Skeil, & Yersinia
In the valley, Hydras's pack was certainly the most fight-proned and had a very long history of battles. Being the alpha of her pack, Hydras was extremely 'fight-smart'.
She slashed at her stomach with her fangs before springing back. A slight graze was left across her shoulder from Damon's fangs. A wild smirk came to her muzzle as she glared at him, and she opened her trap as if to speak. Again she rushed forward, but this time she ran past him and struck her fangs out to try and tear his side.
Narsia took a step closer to Spirit, watching her with a vemonous glare. Even though Kiarra was an adult, Narsia saw her as almost a daughter. She was the little starving pup that Bullet and Demon brought back during the flood. Narsia wasn't about to let her be killed by Spirit. She would attack in a heartbeat of Kiarra needed help.
Bullet let his sister handle Damon. He traveled around the battle sight, casting looks to the enemies and judging all who were here. He then took up a stance near Aaka, Cortinarri, and Ghost Walker, ready to defend them from Cortinarri's allies. He wanted to help kill the alpha, but wasn't sure if Aaka would appriciate that.
Yersinia stood her ground and looked up at Spirit. Her ears suddenly went down and she cast her eyes away. This was the wolfess that had been so kind to her and took her to the Woodland Farm. Like her sister Aminita had once been, Yersinia suddenly found herself torn between to forces. She couldn't attack Spirit...
Kiarra
Kiarra stood next to Narsia, fur bristled and hackles raised. She was ready for a fight and if it had to be with Spirit, so be it. She never took her eyes of of Spirit, glaring at her dangerously.
Kanan
Kanan thrashed and struggled against the mercilous jaws that clamped his throat. He kicked and let out muffled yelps and whimpers, but it only starved his body quicker of the oxygen that Skeil was restricting. Bright spots and dark patches began to flood his vision and his head spun wildly. He felt his extremities tingle violently and begin to numb. Still, he struggle and thrashed and gasped for air. Finally, his world went dark and Kanan's body fell limp. He was unconsious.
Aaka and Co
The Hunter sprung up and bore down on Spirit "You say you owe Ghost your life? What about Aaka? She knew what it was like to be hunted but what did she do? She stayed in the open and would fight if any came to attack her. In my eyes your a coward for hiding. You KNEW Aaka would have come to help you if you went and look in the right places. You knew she was your friend and would guard you even with her injury. You werent even injured in the fight Spirit. You came out with minor scratches while Aaka and Mityta were bleeding and torn. They setteled there differences for the time being. Aaka would probably even try to apologize to Mitya but she knows better than to go around her. Legosa helped her with her shoulder Spirit. And in a way you did to. I saw her come home once. You should have seen the look on her face. It was the first time she went to look for you. She looked so full of hope when she left but when she came back Aaka looked as if she had fought one thousand battles in one day. She became more bitter and hated. She started taunting others searching for a fight so that you would come. She was so unhappy when you didnt. She began to think you had just left. But dont worry. I will finish you. That way she knoew you were not a friend. You were just like them. You betrayed her just like the silver glades did when they wouldnt help her fight before. But dont worry Spirit. This will be over soon enough" she leaped for the wolfess diving for her throat or shoulder.
Aaka hadnt even noticed Spirit was there until she saw a flash of movement at the corner of her eye. She quickly let go of Cortinarri and sprang at Hunter-her own ally- to make sure she didnt get the other wolf. She didnt know that Spirit had a plan to kill her. But right now her eyes were alight with happiness. Not from the battle as they had been before. But from the sight of her friend. "Spirit!" was all she said. Thats when Hunter set her fangs lightly on Aaka and murmered "Pick your friends wisley next time Aaka. This ones a coward and a Traitor." Aaka just stood looking at the two. She had know idea what was going on
Cortinarri
She was greatly releived to have the deadly hold over her back suddenly gone. She wasn't about to call it quite now; Aaka must die! Crimson stained her back and seeped into her light fur, but the pain didn't slow her down. Snarling bitterly, she lunged for Aaka again, going for a deadly hold on her throat.
Bullet, Narsia, Skeil, & Yersinia
Bullet was very near Cortinarri when Aaka suddenly let go and headed for Spirit and the other. Seeing that the alpha was going for a deadly attack on Aaka, Bullet plundged forward with all his might, aiming to collide with the back-end of Cortinarri and bowl her over. His fangs snapped wildly at her hind limbs.
Narsia stood tensely, not sure what to make of the situation. Her main focus was on Spirit.
Skeil tugged and dragged Kanan's limp form into nearby brush, then scampered quickly back to the battle, assured that he would be out for a good while. She saw Bullet try to tackle Cortinarri. There was the main reason for this fight! Eagerly, the pit bull rushed forward and tried to aim a vise-like bite to the she-wolf's muzzle; or whereever she could.
Yersinia slunk away from Spirit and the others. Ahh, there was someone she could attack. Cortinarri! She too joined in the melee, snapping and tearing at the wolf's side if she could.
Vevisca
Vevisca continued to struggle with Death, snarling and snapping where ever he could at the brute. His eye hurt a lot, but he couldn't tell what damage had been done to it yet because Death still had a hold over his face.
Aaka and Co
Aaka smiled over her shoulder at Cortinarri "See what happens Cortinarri? You start something with me and they will get you." She turned her attention back to Spirit searching her face with eager eyes
Death would not let go of Veviscas face. He felt his shoulder being ripped open but for now he puched that to the back of his mind. He shifted his grip digging his fangs deeper in the eye. When he was done the wolf would be bilnd in the eye. If he didnt lose it....
Cortinarri
With her full attention upon Aaka and so many others around, she didn't know Bullet was coming until it was too late. She was knocked off her feet and tumbled across the ground. The alpha felt searing pain in her hind limbs and scrambled up to retaliate. But then Yersinia was at her side, ripping away at it. Before the alpha's fangs could reach the young Yersinia, Skeil had caught her muzzle. With her primary weapon held at bay by the pit bull, Cortinarri couldn't defend herself.
Blood seeped steadily from the wound she recived as she writhed in agony from the multiple attacks. She kicked out and thrashed maddly to break free. Her light, fierce eyes turned to Aaka as she spoke, but Cortinarri couldn't make a reply with Skeil clamping on her jaws. Her eyes seemed strangely vacant and, but perhaps that was because of shock that the pain brought. In her mind, she honestly couldn't understand why Aaka was so driven to kill her. But she couldn't sit down and talk with this wolf to find out way; she was in the struggle of her life right now, and she was loosing.
Hydras, Bullet, Narsia, Skeil, & Yersinia
Hydras continued her attack on Damon, using her agility and great experience in battle.
Seeing that Skeil had a secure hold on the wolf's trap, Bullet tried to get a firm grip on the ankle joint of a hind leg, attempted to crush it between his jaws. He snarled lightly as the other hind leg kicked out at him, hitting him about the face and neck and leaving scratches where the dull but strong claws raked over his muzzle.
Skeil wouldn't let go for the world. She ground her teeth tightly together and wagged her stump of a tail in triumph.
Yersinia yelped once as a paw came crashing against the side of her head and scrached the inside of her sensative ear. Fueled by new anger, she tried to get a deep bite on the alpha's stomach and thrash her head.
Vevisca
He yelped out shrilly, feeling the great pain that made him dizzy. He tried desperately to get away from this attack. He wondered where Amber was, and hoped she would not see him like this. He didn't want her to get hurt.
Blood streamed down his face, making the wound to his head look much worse than it actually was, for the thin skin there bled very much when broken. He tore savagely at Death's shoulder, wanting to be rid of the horrid fangs at his face and eye.
Niavo & Twlight Reign
The two brother trotted in, with Niavo in the lead. They were here to fight for Aaka and Death, but they didn't know who was to be attacked. Niavo approached Aaka, "What do you want us to do?" he glanced over at Cortinarri, knowing vaugely who she was.
Twlight Reign stood uncertainly still, not much of a fighter. Sure he had some skill, but fighting just wasn't in him like it was his brother.
Spirit
Spirit spoke to Hunter with malice in her low growling tone. "I have been a coward all my life Hunter. I am leaving that behind this day." After hearing her speak of Mitya, she screamed with a blood-curdiling intensity. "I KNOW THAT!!! SHE WAS BLEEDING BECAUSE OF ME!!" She paused, breathing hard now. She held in a sob of guilt in, but all of the sudden her name was called. She jumped and swerved, snarling. When she saw Aaka, she stood, striken by something, but she didn't know what. She had an insulted look in her eyes, but she looked away and back to Hunter. "My life has been a mistake, Hunter. Kill me and you only do me a favor of what I deserve. Finish me, go ahead." She was about to engaged in battle with Hunter, when she saw Cortinarri. "NO!" She screamed again, jumping aside from Hunter's attack. She tried to get to Cortinarri, to try to save her. She had the feeling, however, that Hunter would stop her. Her hind flanks were exposed, and in easy range of the other femme, but she didn't care. She needed to save Cortinarri. But what about Aaka? She was so confused. Again. She always went to battle this way. She couldn't pick, there was no way! But she had to, didn't she? Aaka was her friend, she knew that now. But how could anyone forgive her? She had never been forgiven for anything in her life. Was the only way to pick, to die? Must she die to be on both sides? Her reasoning began to seem suisidal, but she didn't know why. She tried to leap over or beside Aaka, so her way was clear to get to Cortinarri's attackers.
Ratchet
Still not entirely sure on the sides of all the canines gathered, Ratchet followed Skeil is her assault on Cortinarri. Due to his breeding, Ratchet was rather large, however, his thick build gave him speed. He dove into the fray, large ears flattend, aiming a snap at the struggling wolf who was pretty much restrained. It would not be severe since Ratchet had no intention of seriously harming anyone unless he was attacked.. however, his mercy was only because of his lack of knowledge in this fight.
Cortinarri
Cortinarri continued her struggles, knowing she was doomed without help. She wanted to speak, to tell them something, but she couldn't. Unable to get away, her ankle was broken by Bullet. She felt the terrible pain of Yersinia's fangs in her stomach. The snaps of Ratchet's fangs tearing through her flesh. The suffocating pressure over her muzzle.
Her eyes flashed to Spirit, hearing her. Her blood-shot eyes showed the torture that she was enduring and begged for help. She yelped, but her cries were muffled. Then her glossy orbs turned upon Aaka once again, giving a look that seemed to ask, 'How can I deserve this? How can anyone?.
Namir
The adolescent cougar had hesitated back at the Breve Ridges. Then he decided to follow his friends and see what was up. The the feline approached the battle area, he saw a mass of canids fighting. Then he spotted his good friend Vevisca! With a snarl, the cougar sprinted over the ground and pounced at Death, seeking a hold on his throat... His razor-sharp claws were outstretched to latching into his flesh.
Manov and Co.
Manov saw what was happening to his mate and snarled, jumping down from where he was he ran for Bullet, since he had a hold on Cortiniarri it would hard for him to fight back unless he let go. Brute lept at Bullet, fangs aiming to grab at his neck and bit down hard.
Ghost snarled and backed up into the bushes. Silently she crept around the fight and came up behind Aaka. When she had her back to her, Ghost lept forwards, aiming to grab the back of Aaka's neck and bit down hard, to peralize her. For what happened to Mitya, she blamed both Spirit and Aaka, but not as much Spirit, her intention wasn't too try to kill Mitya, but to get her off Aaka. This was payback for her 'daughter'.
Ice looked over at 'the hunter' fangs bared as the male cougar made his way down to her. HIs banner whipped back and forth and without notice he lept at her, fangs bared, trying to grab hold of anything.
Akela ran after Manov she lept for the young one Yersinia, fangs tried to grab hold of her neck to tear her away.
Azja went for Ratchet, being the largest out of all the wolfs and dogs in the vallet, he could take him easily. Fangs bared he ent to gab ahold on his hind pillers and pull him off of Cortiniarri.
Hydras, Bullet, Narsia, Skeil, & Yersinia
Bullet was satisfied that he had broken the ankle, and no more reason to keep hold of the appendage. He had let go to size up another attack when he spotted Manov. Good, this will be interesting. The hybrid thought and hunched his body low just as the alpha leapt. Bullet went low and dodged to the side, narrowly missing the attack. In retaliation, he slashed at Manov's side and sprung away. A taunting grin spread over his bloody muzzle.
Unlike her elders, Yersinia didn't have much experience in fighting. She was so wrapped up in her successful attack on Cortinarri that she didn't realize Akela was bearing down on her. She felt the fangs sink into her neck and she was pulled back. Twisted about as much as she could, the young adult struck out with her own teeth to latch on where ever they could.
Narsia had been dutifully on guard near Aaka when Ghost tried the sneak attack. "Aaka, watch it!" she barked sharply and plunged forward. She calculated her jump to interesct Ghost in mid air, and save Aaka from the deadly bite.
Seeing her friends suddenly taken into new fights, Skeil was left alone with the wounded Cortinarri. Her hackles rose and she clenched her jaws down with all her strength. She would not let this enemy go. All she needed to do was hang on and let someone finish her off.
Ratchet
Ratchet felt a set of fangs latch into his left hind leg. 'Ok,' he thought quickly, 'This one is obviously an enemy.' Releasing Cortinarri, Ratchet spun, ripping his leg flesh on Azja's fangs, snapping dangerously at the offenders face - more precisely, his eyes. All the furs gracing Ratchet's body stood on end in a threatening display, making Ratchet appear larger than he was. Adrenaline pumped through him so fast that he had not even noticed if he landed a successful attack yet..
Spirit
Spirit saw Cortinarri was running out of air.She left Aaka with no explination, although she wished to. She leaped again, Ghost had the attention of Aaka now, and Ghost's large figure should save Spirit from an hold-back attack by the Hunter. Of course, that didn't mean that Hunter wouldn't chase after her. She dared not look to Aaka, she didn't want to be a traitor to anyone, but she was couldn't exactly fight for both sides.
She wouldn't dare attack any on Ghost's side, but instead, defend Ghost and Manov and Cortinarri's people from the others. She lept with much power, neck tucked and large canines bared as she aimed for somewhere along the neck line of Skeil. She grabbed onto whatever she got, but the force of the seize carried her on further, dragging her targeted flesh of Skeil with her. Skeil would have to let go of Cortinarri or risk a tearing, deadly blow. There was also a retorical hit that Skeil might risk, for if the wolf didn't let go of Cortinarri, and Spirit's first attack hadn't hit very well, she could always come back and aim more precise next time. She thrashed as she was falling back through the air, griping tight on whatever she had. She pulled with all her might, biting for any tender muscle or vital veins in her spot. She landed abruptly, pulling and thrashing, alert for anyone who tried to stop her. She dared not to kill anyone yet, unless her life was at stake....
Twilight Reign & Niavo
Niavo looked sharply towards Ghost after he heard her swift approach and leap. She is on our side, then. he thought quickly of Narsia, seeing how she defended Aaka. She has a pack scent... who else is like hers? he questioned to himself, ready to figure out who was friend and foe. "Twlight, help Aaka." he commanded before heading over to where the Silver Glades alphas fought.
Cortinarri he knew vaugely; yes, she must be an enemy. His mother and she didn't get along well at all. And the scent of Narsia's pack matched Skeil's; the pit bull was an ally. So Cortinarri was definately an enemy. With this swift judgements, the young adult flung himself upon Cortinarri with bared teeth and cruel eyes. He began to tear at her throat and neck.
Twlight stood uncertainly, not know who to attack. So much was going on around him! He waited for any signal from Aaka.
Spirit
Without any warning, she saw the other wolf attack Cortinarri. She retreated from her attack on Skeil, and lept onto Niavo, grabbing what she could around his neck. Since he had no particular hold, the large femme began to pull him away from her, not thrashing.
Skeil
She was particularly stubborn when it came to letting go of bites. She saw Spirit come and braced herself, then hunkered down suddenly when she leapt to attack. There was no way for Skeil to avoid the attack, but by waiting and then ducking down at the last second, she saved her spine and underthroat from a fatal blow.
None-the-less, the wolf's ivories tore deep into her thick neck and dragged her across the ground. This too brought Cortinarri down, for Skeil hadn't let go of the alpha's muzzle. Her mate Darth had been killed by such tactics as Spirit was employing on her, so Skeil wasn't going to let that be her fate. She was about to reluctantly release Cortinarri when Spirit changed her attack for Niavo. Glad for this change, Skeil dug in harder and began to thrash her body as violently as she could to cause Cortinarri more damage.
Niavo & Twlight Reign
Niavo simply hadn't been in enough battles to comprehend all that was going on around him. He did what ever damage he could to Cortinarri before he was suddenly seized by Spirit and pulled back. Snarling savagely, Niavo whipped his head around and snapped at the fae's legs if he could reach them.
Twilight saw his brother was in peril. Well, at least he knew Spirit must be an enemy. Charging across the ground, the smaller canine went for Spirit's hind limb and snapped feircely to try and damage the tendons and bones there and make her release Niavo.
Spirit
She bit down as hard as she could now on Niavo, thrashing him about. She wished not to, but she had no other choice. As for Skeil, she kicked her sharp claws and powerful hind legs out, aiming for the face. She yelled to Ghost. "Ghost! I need your help!" She pleaded, looking to her desperately. Cortinarri would soon die if she had no back up. She howled loudly to get the attention of Manov, scratching out even more frequently with a lot of power.
Spirit
With the one wolf snapping at her front legs, and the other grabbing her hind leg, she couldn't easily stop Skeil. She cried out with pain, not able to look for help. She bit down on whatever she had of Niavo, and thrashed with her deadly canines. If Twilight thought she would let go if he attacked, boy was he wrong.
Niavo & Twlight Reign
Niavo couldn't help but yelp as he was thrashed about. He couldn't secure a hold on her legs, but he slashed at him when ever he could. His thick ruff, thanks to his father genes, saved him partially from Spirit's bite. But fur was only so much of a buffer, and he felt the pain of her fangs sink deeper and deeper into his neck. He feared he may die if she continued to thrash him, "Twlight, kill her! Hurry!"
Twlight wasn't one that liked killing at all. He didn't even like to hurt others! His ears were back in fear and confusion, yet he had to help his brother. Doing what ever damage he could to the leg, he turned his fangs upon her face now, trying to slash where ever he could without hitting his brother. "Let him go!" he barked out, almost in a pleading voice.
Spirit
She snarled out in pain and as a response. "You attacked Cortinarri! You are no friend of mine!" She sadly, was a softie. She hated fighting, but was very good at it. He slashed right below and above the same eye Mitya had, and this hit a nerve. She let go of Niavo and attacked the little one, grabbing onto his neck underneath, maybe a little higher. She grabbed on firmly, and gave a wary look to Niavo. She spoke, muffled. "I'll kill him, I will kill him if that dog" She motioned to Skeil "Doesn't let go." To show she would, she grabbed him a little tighter. She spoke so softly that only Twilight could hear. "I'm really sorry I don't want to hurt you." She then lifted her maw, making it harder for the littler wolf to breathe if she had grasped him correctly. If Niavo attacked him, or Cortinarri, or if Skeil didn't let go of Cortinarri, he would die.
Niavo & Twlight Reign
Twilight yelped at first, then slowly ceased his struggles once he realized how perilous his condition was. His looked from Spirit to Niavo with wide, terrified eyes. "Please, don't kill me! I didn.." he pleaded, but his words began choked and he had to stop talking to conserve air.
Niavo stood tensely, wanting to spring and kill Spirit. But... he couldn't betray his brother. "Fine, FINE!" he snarled hotly, "I won't attack. And you..." he glanced back at Skeil, "Let go.. please." he muttered and glanced back at Spirit, watching her intently. He would attack if she killed his brother, but otherwise he couldn't act while Twilight was held captive.
Spirit
She winced as Twilight spoke, she didn't want to hurt anyone. She yelled to Skeil. "DO IT NOW OR THIS ONE DIES!" She grabbed him tighter, one of her teeth peircing flesh, but only the top layer. She trembled as blood dripped into her mouth, or what seemed like blood. She said to Niavo. "Are you a wolf of your word? If I let him go, you don't attack Cortinarri, you attack me." She almost pleaded, she would rather die than see the one wolf she was trying to save, repeat history over again. Everytime she tried to help someone, she always hurt them instead. She did not release Twilight, but used her grip a bit lighter now. She didn't want to hurt him. "If you don't leave her alone and take me instead, he will die. I am the true traitor and...." she gulped, not wanting to say it, not wanting it to be true "enemy of her. If you are on her side, you will take me." This was a lie, in a way, for Cortinarri was a big enemy of Aaka. But, Spirit thought this was true.
Skeil
Skeil hesitated a moment, not knowing who in the world these two were. They smelt like Aaka though, so she knew they were not trying to decieve her. Cortinarri is hurt bad enough anyway. She'll be finished off soon enough. The pit bull released her hold and stepped back swiftly. Blood trailed down either side of her neck where Spirit tore her skin and muscle. But her nape was thick, and the injury wasn't that serious to her. "Alright, I let go." she turned her attention upon Spirit, "Now let the little one go." Despite being a great fighter and one who loved battle, she had a very strong loyalty to her friends; and even if she didn't know Twilight, he was an ally and she would sacrifice for him.
Spirit
Without hesitating, she let her grasp go on the young wolf. She bolted in front of Cortinarri, backing her away from the fight. She then returned to the forward position, watching all of them with caution. If she met an untimely end, this would most likely be it. She hung her head down a second, and tried to catch eyes with Aaka. She wanted her to know, before anything else happened. She mouthed. "I am sorry. I never meant to hurt you." She then turned back to the battle, front legs covered in blood from minor scratches, back leg badly torn up, posibly twisted or sprained. She looked to Twilight with an appology held deep in her eyes and facial features, then turned to the others. She had the feeling she was going to die in one of their jaws.
Cortinarri
Cortinarri pulled herself up in a jerking motion, trying to stabilize herself on three good, or somewhat good legs. She took in a deep, gasping breath and looked wildly around her, trying to figure out just what was going on. Pain bolted through her body with every rapid pulse of her heart, and the chilling sensation of her own warm blood made her nearly panic. She had been in fights before, but never had she been attacked like that.
The mangled alpha stood weakly and felt her muscles were very tight and oddly sore, even where they were not damaged. But she quickly gained control of herself and took in the situation. Spirit had saved her! The alpha turned her freakishly blood-shot and glazed eyes towards the wolf, looking questioningly at the fae who had come to her aid even after Cortinarri had been rather harsh on her back in the pack lands. "You came back..." she said lightly, thinking for sure that Spirit would have been on Aaka's side in this battle.
Everything was so overwhelming right now; she couldn't think straight. Blinking dazidly, she looked to Skeil, trying to shake off the shock that was creeping into her body from such a brutal attack. "Go ahead and try that again." she snarled suddenly to the dog, bracing herself for an attack. Being unable to rush anyone, she'd have to lure them to her fangs instead. And this tenacious pit bull seemed to be good enough bait.
Spirit
She looked back to Cortinarri, replying to the still startled femme. "I had to, you are my alpha....and I owe it to you. I can't watch you just.....die." She then turned back, not sure if she had made the right choice. She knew it was though, she had helped another, and although it didn't clear her past, but helped her concience. She looked to the other wolves, and the pitt bull. She figured Cortinarri would have Skeil covered, so she turned to the brothers.
Kiarra
Kiarra saw what was going on and also saw that Yersinia was introuble. Looking over at Narsia she noddes silently, she had to help them, it seemed that Hunter and Aaka could take care of themselves. Without saying anything she bolted over to Twilight, "are you ok?" She asked in a hurriedvoice, making sure she kept her neck low for protection. Without waiting for his answer she spoke again, "You two, go, hide in the bushes" she could tell that they where not used to fighting like herself, she understood, she used to be like them. Then, turning she ran towards Akela, full speed, aiming at her neck with her jaws. If she hit her target she bit down hard.
Niavo & Twlight Reign
Twlight scrambled back, body low and tail tucked between his legs. When he had practiced fighting with Aaka, he was sure he could help her out in battle. But now that he was here... it was just too much. Trembling slightly and fearful of what would happen to him later, he fled from the Ruins. He didn't want to desert Aaka, but he just couldn't take watching all this suffering and conflict.
Niavo gave a sharp bark, calling his brother back. But Twilight was gone. He glanced to Kiarra when she came over, "It's alright. I'm just getting warmed up is all." It was kind of a lie, but he wanted to stay and help out. "You won't catch me this time." he snarled at Spirit and rushed to attack her again. Plundging forward with all his might, he sprung up to tackle her, hopefully right into Cortinarri. He slashed out with his fangs, but knew he could secure no hold with the momentum he put into he leap.
Spirit
She was winded and knocked over, narrowly missing an impact into Cortinarri. His fangs slashed her face, but her hind legs, or hind leg, pushed out at the wolf on top of her's gut. She tried to scramble to her feet after possibly winding the other wolf.
Niavo
Niavo fell harshly to the ground, letting out a silent gasp as the wind was knocked from his lungs. His stomach was jarred as well, but he managed to keep his last meal from coming forth. Picking himself up with a slightly hunched back from the pain in his stomach, he again rushed Spirit. He aimed to tear at her flank, then dodge away from a possible counter attack. But with the heavy blow to his stomach, he was still a bit slower to move.
Spirit
His tear at the flank succeded, for he managed to rip the skin badly. She cried out, and as he dodged she remained in the same spot, but changed her poise. She once again tucked her neck, low to the ground in defense, fangs bared and waiting for him to attack again.
Niavo
Feeling a bit more confident now, Niavo rushed again for a second attack. Keeping himself down low, he made a rush for her stomach, then swiftly changed directions and struck for the side of her neck. He would have prefered the underside, but with her head tucked down, he couldn't get to it.
Spirit
Perfect She thought, and as he grabbed hold of the flesh right below the side of her neck, she latched hold of wherever she could on the underside of his neck. She grabbed hold tightly, not peircing flesh yet but on the verge. If he yanked, she would probably rip through whatever she had hold on.
Niavo
His eyes widened slightly, realizing all too late his error. A bitter snarl rolled from his throat as he drove his fangs as deep as he could into her flesh, but doubted there was anything vital there. She had the upper hand now, and he dared not thrash and pull away. Instead, he tried to cause as much pain as he could to his bite.
Spirit
She yelped with pain as he bit down, making his way near the shoulder. His teeth dug deeper into the vital tissues, and she growled. She bit down hard now, but suddenly let go and turned her head akwardly, attempting to grab onto his maw. She bit down hard, thrashing now and then, and kicking out with her one good leg.
Niavo
He attempted to pull back as she let go, so that he could use his smaller size and agility to an advantage. But once more, he just wasn't quick enough. Curse his inexperience! Her jaws fell shut over his mug and he let loose a muffled yelp in surprise. Quickly he put all his strength into a leap backwards, hoping to wrench his muzzle free. His eyes watered at the sharp pain as she thrashed, and he batted back with his front paws at her while rearing up on his hind limbs.
Spirit
He struck her with his front paws hard across the chest, and once in the stomach, but her clenched jaw did not budge. She started to lift up with him then yanked him down hard, pulling again. She spoke. "I shouldn't be fighting you.....I should be on your side......but I owe both sides to much..." She trailed off, trying to pull his muzzle into the dirt.
Niavo
He was pulled to the ground, kicking and giving muffled snarls and yelps. His fierce eyes showed loathing, suggesting that if he could respond to her, it wouldn't be anything pleasant. Niavo snorted, trying to clear the dirst and dust from his nose and his muzzle was force to the ground.
Spirit
She knew his intent for rude remarks, and only wish that she had time to explain what happened. She kept him in the dirt for a moment, then lifted her head a bit. She didn't want to kill him; and this was obvious by the fact that she could have easily crushed his maw by now.
Aaka and Co
Aaka was angered for a moment but didnt worry for long. Thats when she saw Ghost and one of her allies in a battle. Much was going on around her and she didnt seem to see any of it. Slowly she moved to Cortinarri "I can call all of this off right now Cortinarri. All you have to do is say yes. It will all be finished. If not....Moon will finish you off." As if they had head Moon Spirit and Moonsword cam out of the shadows one looking grave the other looking like he had a certain lust for blood.
Death hadnt been expecting the cougar and quickly let go. But then he smiled and said "Here kitty kitty kitty." Ghost Walker the forgotten cougar moved swiftly behind Ice and hissed "Pick on someone your own species. Or is killing wolves your way of boosting ego?"
Spirit
With her teeth clenched around Niavo's muzzle, she saw Aaka confront Cortinarri. She heard every word she said. "NO!" She screamed yet again, but her howl was muffled and it was unlikely anyone had heard her. She tried to pull towards Cortinarri again, hadn't she just saved her? How could Spirit allow Aaka to set wolves back on her? Cortinarri was prepared this time.....it seemed.....but she was weak. She gave Cortinarri a pleading, wary look, as if to say Your skin just got saved by me........and now you want to hurt me by continuing this? She prayed Cortinarri would back down. It wouldn't be her call exactly....Aaka's side would back down....so she wasn't showing weakness or anything. Besides, Spirit needed to talk to Aaka.....but she had the feeling Aaka wouldnt understand, expecially when Hunter was hanging around. She also got the impression that Cortinarri, being a little hard-headed in a good way most times.......wouldn't budge. She couldn't just continue to hold this wolf in this position forever....but she couldn't kill him either. She gripped him harder now, but he could breath again. She thought she felt her teeth peirce flesh underneath his jaw but wasn't sure. She couldn't stop the attack on this one if Moonsword and Moon Spirit attacked Cortinarri, but there might be a chance of Manov coming to help her. She only hoped.
Cortinarri
Her eyes narrowed as she listened to Aaka's suggestion. Then she glanced to Spirit and saw the pleading look. Quickly, Cortinarri looked away and to Aaka once more, before closing her eyes briefly. They opened again, wrathful and cold as ever as they settled on Aaka, "While I am still standing, I won't abandoned my pack lands! My pack would have no where to go; hurt, weak... we need our lands." She growled slightly, wondering if Aaka had cared about anyone in the pack, "Vevisca, Namir, the betas' young... what will happen to them?" she questioned shrewdly.
Then a second thought came to mind. "And look at your little friend there." her head nodded towards Spirit and Niavo, "Call your allies off and he will be free. If not... he's as good as dead. Do you care about him enough to spare my pack?" Cortinarri knew she couldn't afford to keep this fight up; she would die, and so would Spirit and the others.
Spirit
She gasped, realizing what may happen if they gave up. She looked to Cortinarri, howling as loud as she could. "MY......MY SISTER!" She spole between chokes, hair catching in her throat. "THERE......THERE IS A PACKLAND LARGE ENOUGH.....FOR.....FOR EVERYONE....AT LEAST.....AT LEAST UNTIL.....YOU CLAIM ANOTHER TERRA...." She trailed off, she couldn't believe what she had just said! Tri-Tundra, all over again? She didn't know how anyone there would take it, total strangers, and a sister unworthy of trust....But she had told Cortinarri now, she couldn't back down from her offer. "Avalanche Grove!" She yelled again. "They.....It is a huge packland.....but I know not how many wolves they may already have."
Her eyes went back down to the ground, she had not seen her sister since Woodland Farm, and she knew little. She only hoped that Cortinarri might agree, for short term, but she did not know of Dark Star's visitors....Of course, Dark Star was generous, he truly was. Spirit knew him well, at least until the accident....nonetheless, if he could offer them a short-term home, they could find another abandoned terra..."If not......" She paused, looking to Cortinarri for reasurance. "If you do not want my offer.....Cortinarri....." She couldn't believe what she was saying..."At your command, Cortinarri, I will kill him." Her last words stung her, she just....had no idea....of how....what would happen...She too, knew, if Cortinarri kept on fighting....Spirit would die with the others, she gripped Niavo tighter.
Niavo
There was an ominous growl that that rumbled in his chest and throat, once which grew slightly higher as more pressure was applied to his muzzle. Her teeth had dug into his skin, making it impossible for him to pull loose unless he wanted to loose skin and perhaps break bones. By this time his struggles had stopped and his stood tensely, ready for action. He glacned once at Aaka, then quickly averted his eyes. He wouldn't show her what he felt; he wouldn't let her decision be judged on what he thought.
Cortinarri
She trembled, half out of anger and half out of fatigue. She had lost her alpha position once to Sahena, and had once before been denounced to omega status by Stormfalcon. And of course there were the bitter arguements with Catalpa, Black Fyre, her own daughter...; so much quarreling and struggle to be alpha of the Silver Glades! She didn't want to give it up again, but a plan slowly came to her that brought a faint grin to her crimson-stained jaws.
The smile vanished quickly, as to not arise suspiscion in anyone. "Call your allies off then. We'll live with Spirit." Cortinarri knew she was beat now; she had exerienced that before and bided her time more than once; she could do it again. This wouldn't be her last encounter with Aaka.
Spirit
Spirit looked to Cortinarri, somehow confused. She didn't think Cortinarri would decide so fast, but she had the feeling from the faint grin she saw........that they might meet again on this turf.....She looked to Cortinarri again, not sure if she should let go of Niavo yet. Cautiously, she released her grasp on him, then backed away, eyeing him nonstop.
Right above her shoulder was now bleeding badly, as was her hind leg, and her front legs and right eye. She limped slightly over beside Cortinarri and whispered so that no one else could hear. "I don't know what you are planning, but if it involves Dark Star, I don't know if he would go to war..." She trailed off, this was just a hunch. If and only IF he let them all stay in his terra, that would take effort itself. To get him on their side? It could be difficult. Of course.....
Manov was sort-of friends with Tri-Tundra, and Spirit figured she might want to help, especially with Ghost. They were all allies already in a way, this fight could make them stronger, even reliable. She added, now that she had thought it through. "If that isn't what your planning, it could be, Dark Star's pack is probably the largest in the valley, almost, and Tri-Tundra knows your mate as well as Ghost. She sort-of saved them both at different times a long time ago..." She wasn't sure how the story went, but knew Ghost and Tri-Tundra were friends, and Ghost and Manov were allies. It's a small world after all. She looked to Cortinarri, what was she planning...........
Aaka and Co
Aaka cocked her head and trotted to Niavo "Go yell at Damon and Hydras for me. I dont really feel like breaking them up" instead she moved to where the two cougars were. "Ghost Walker Stop! Go home. I must tell the others" Aaka turned her head and shouted at Cortinarri "Thankcs for your packlands. Moon Spirit would have allowed you to stay with her. Shes not the meanest wolf on earth. But would you like to see how many you were up against?" without waiting for a reply she barked. Elena Stefan Storm Warning Buddy Sasha Sequioa and still others came poring out. Last but not least Miglisi appeared once more. She was a shy lynx and was hating being in th open....
Hydras, Bullet, Narsia, Skeil, & Yersinia
Hydras was having a grand time, but she was near enough to hear that the battle had been called off. With the sly smirk still on her muzzle, she bounded away from Damon, "Maybe another time." she spoke out before taking her place near Aaka. Her eyes narrowed slightly, "Call your allies off, or we'll kill you right now." Her eyes narrowed suddenly, seeing that Yersinia was being attacked by Akela. Then she turned to Aaka, "Are you taking over the Silver Glades then?"
After leaping at Ghost to foil her attack on Aaka, quickly stepped away from the fae. She carefully headed over to her sister and stood poised to assault anyone; especially Akela.
Bullet gave up his slashing attacks on Manov. With a burst of speed, he charged away from the alpha and headed over to Aaka. These three siblings had little, if any injuries.
Skeil had a torn neck from Spirit, but she had acquired such wounds in previous battles. It was nothing new to her, and nothing serious as long as it didn't get infected. She too gathered around her pack.
Yersinia still struggled with Akela, trying to free herself and glad that Kiarra was helping out.
Pirqua
The peregrine falcon hadn't gotten back to Hydras and the others about who was at the Silver Glades. She was a bit confused about what was going on, but landed infront of Hydras and Aaka. "Ninaki, Kenyon, and Phantom are at the Silver Glades. They decided to try and steal some pups, but there are too many adults there now." she looked aroung a moment, suspiscious of the faces she didn't know.
Spirit
Spirit looked to Aaka, but as Aaka spoke she turned away. Spirit had never been a good friend, ally, or even a sister. If only Aaka hadn't parted the pack, if only this grudge could cease, or subside, but she knew this was not to be. If only she hadn't been so....sure in her descision! She could have begged Aaka to stop this, and maybe, maybe this wouldn't have happened. No matter where she went she always felt as if she was on the wrong side. Blood dripped from beneath her eyes like tears, following the long dried and faded trail of blood Mitya had left her with. Hadn't she tried to defend Aaka from Mitya? And accusation was how she was repaid.
Her thoughts flipped from side to side, but she knew no one with Aaka, not even Aaka herself really cared for Spirit or wanted her with them, on their side. At least that was true. But how much did Cortinarri want her to be on the same side as the pack? It appeared she betrayed her friend for a packland that didn't exist anymore!
She shook her head, as if physical movements could clear her shaken and confused mind. Her eyes trailed up to Aaka's, but all she saw in return appeared to be hatred, betrayal, and disgust. Her own eyes showed the exact opposite. Her head drooped, tail also sagging, the blood from her leg staining the pale, coarse golden fur that shimmered sickly with the matted blood. She had made her choice, it seemed. She looked to Cortinarri and asked as she watched all of them leave. "Do you wish to go straight to Avalanche Grove?" She shuddered, her sister would not like this at all. Her sister hated her moreso that anyone else. But she had to try....for the pack.
Cortinarri
A nerve was hit with Aaka's words. 'Thanks for the pack lands'. She forcefully swallowed her arrogant words before they could come forth as brutal insults. The wolf gave a side-glance at Spirit, but didn't betray any emotion to Aaka about what was said. "You're a keen one. I'm sure we can work something out." She was very strong-willed with her desires; sometimes too strong-willed for her own good.
A sudden snarl bursted from her throat, "Don't you dare bring harm to our allies! Let them evacuate the pack lands unharmed! I swear, you will pay dearly if you go back on this deal." Her eyes were narrowed to threatening slits. As far as she was concerned, she was holding up her end of the deal. She was giving the pack lands to Aaka... but she never said for how long. "I'm ready to go now." she said after a pause, speaking to Spirit.
Niavo
He backed off quickly, shaking his head as if it would clear away the stining pain. Snarling lightly, he glares from Cortinarri to Spirit as he speaks to Aaka, "I don't trust them; any of them! We've got the upper hand now and we should just finish them off." His body was tense, but he didn't think Aaka would agree with his plans of action. He was just riled that he had been so easily caught and subdued by the wolf.
Spirit
She nodded at the compliment, eager to set things right between all of them. She had a great deal of trust in Cortinarri's choices now, but knew not why. Perhaps because Spirit couldn't trust herself in choice making...
Spirit restrained from emitting a loud snarl at Aaka after her Alpha warned them of the deal. She had a feeling Aaka would keep the pups.....and this made the snarl come forward. She hid it with a comment to Cortinarri. "The packlands is back that way," She said with a sharp nodding gesture in the main direction. "I will lead the way in a moment, if you like." She paused. "However, if you don't mind for now, I would like to take the back until we make enough of a distance away from this place." She gave a sharp look to Niavo, she had no trust for any of Aaka's allies anymore. It seemed as if Aaka was on the 'bad' side, being allies with the shadow lukers and all. But, that had its' advantages, for there were many in numbers.
At Niavo's comment, her eyes darted to him with a sharp glare. If they wanted to finish them off, they would have to wait until they came back.....with their, hopefully, new allies.
Manov and Co.
Manov barked to all of his allies to back off, but he didnt leave, not yet. Brute walked over to Cortinarri's side and snarled at Aaka. "You will get what you deserve." Fangs bared he snapped at her muzzle.
As he stood there Azja, White Flame, Angel's Sin, Akela, and Blade all came together in a group and stoood behind him.
From the shadows, Maverick and Death's Angel appeared. Angel barked to Spirit, as of the moment, Avalanche Grove was already her home.
Ghost stood back, as she heard that they attacked the pack lands she got pissed those were her pups. "If you touch my pups, you will die!" She threatened them, fangs bared, saliva dripping from them, her pups were the only thing she had from her mate who was now gone.
Then more wolvies showed up from where Manov had entered. Leading the way was Mitya, still she was not completely healed, Dakota stopped beside her incase she needed support. Mitya's black pools glared down at everyone. Anzac and Islay ran up to Azja's side and stood beside him and Akela. Forbidden and Revolution showed next. Revolution walked up and stood at Manov's side, the alpha snarled at them. Forbidden ran and stood behind Manov, not saying anything.
The long forgotten Tyrone came almost last, as his side, the adolesent pups of Jarla, like Ghost's mate, they were the only thing left of her. Apatchey, Domanic, Keara, and Elgin. He stayed a bit behind Mitya, for he knew that he was not liked by many he was to defend. His "kids" ran to the group standing behind Manov.
Then the smallest came after being put down in the bushs for safety by the adults, Ghost's pups came running out, dodging around things and jumping for her, all 5 stood under her shaking, they hadn't known what was going on.
Manov looked back at all his allies that had come, but still some were missing. "Well it looks as though you would still be out numbered if everyone had came. There is still Revolution's pack, Ghost's pack, and White Flames pack. Foolish you are Aaka, foolish." Once again he snapped at her maw. Ghost them barked up to Cortinarri. "If you like you can go to my packlands as well, the Opake Mountains pack your welcome there." She called, then nuzzled her pups and looked up at Mitya, a low snarl was emitted towards her.
Hydras, Bullet, Narsia, Skeil, & Yersinia
Hydras laughed, "I hardly think we would have been out numbered! Besides, look who won!" her eyes were devilishly taunting to the dethrowned alpha, "Now why don't you all kindly clear the area so we can escort the new alphess to her terra."
Narsia smirked at her sister's leering little speech. Her defiant eyes looked coldly upon the pups that they had brought with them, "Are they part of your 'army'?" She couldn't help but make a crack at them as well.
Bullet beamed happily back at the enemies. He didn't make any remark, but he held himself proudly and glanced from face to face.
Skeil and Yersinia stood near each other, both gloating in their victory, even if Yersinia didn't do a whole lot. Again, Hydras spoke out, "Don't kid yourself, now." her words directed at Manov again, "These aren't all of our allies either."
Spirit
As soon as she saw Mitya, her tail tucked and her head went down. However, at the site Forbidden, her ears perked and a slight wave of the tail gave a 'hello' to him. She offered. "Why don't some of us go to Avalanche Grove, and other to Ghost's terra?" She nodded to Ghost with great respect, then turne to Conritarri and whispered in her ear, barely audible. "This way, we can try to get them outnumbered by getting more allies." Her attention then turned to Death's Angel. This was good, another friend already in the pack.
She looked to Hydras, snarling. "We have allies in unexpected places, you kid yourself with your flaunting." Her eyes were narrowed, she growled low.
Kiarra
Kiarra backed away fromt the fight with Yersinia, keeping an eye on Akela. She couldn't help but smile at what Hydrus and Narsia said. Looking down at Yersinia she spoke softly, "are you alright?"
Hydras & Yersinia
The teasing smile grew on her crimson-stained jaws, "You say you have more allies? Well they must be some really great allies to let you loose this battle." Hydras and her pack had been at the end of a loosing battle more than once, so she was really hyping about the win now. Not only for her own entertainment, but also to boost the moral and unity in her own pack. Sweet revenge!
Yersinia looked up with a side-ways smile, "I'm alright. We'll show them next time, for sure!" Her tail waved enthusiastically, even though the back of her neck hurt were it was torn by Akela's fangs. Like the others, she had to worry about infection. But since the season was diving down in temperature, even that wouldn't be as big of a worry.
Cortinarri
She was seething with animosity! Only a short while ago the Shadow Lurkers had been humiliatingly out-classed at the Canyon. Power, it seemed, shifted uneasily from one side to the other. Her pride was quite stung though, and she couldn't help but reply to Hydras, "Enjoy your glory while it lasts! I Guarantee it will be shorted lived." Cortinarri could have come back with a better retort than that, but her head was begining to spin.
"Which land is closest?" she asked slowly, not looking to anyone in particular. Being an alpha, she never liked to show weakness. But she couldn't stay her much longer with all this stress and pain without showing a quickly growing weakness.
Spirit
She snickered. "Short lived is an understatement." She looked to the 'enemy' with malice, her alphas words were not only a boast....Sprit would make sure they would eat Cortinarri's words, as well as their own. She furrowed her brow. "Hm....." She said. "I have not been there ever.......but I know the way. It is not far, but it very well could be an even distance." She did not know which one would be easier to get to, but an idea sparked, and her eyes lit up slightly. "Why don't we take the wounded to Ghost's pack for now, and myself, Death's Angel and either you or Manov could accompany us to the packlands. That way, if they refuse to give any refuge, we will know where to go." She paused, she hoped her sister would not be around on the time of their coming, that it would only be Dark Star she must speak to, but that was only a prayer. She continued. "He should allow it, knowing that this would increase the packs defense.....that is, if he trusts us." She had doubt, but her doubt canceled out with a new idea. "I wonder if he himself knows Ghost...." She thought aloud to herself, blurting out a few things in her mind. She had many other good thoughts....but didn't want to be too open around the enemy. If they launched an attack on Dark Star's pack......boy they would have another thing coming.....
Cortinarri
She glacned to her mate, seeking his advice now on what to do. Spirit's plan seemed a good idea, and she was willing to go along with it so long as Manov had no objections.
Ratchet
Ratchet pretty much stayed quiet throughout the verbal arguement, not eniterly knowledged on the matter. Though he was on a side, he was still respectful; the hybrid was not about to mock the other group because of a loss.
The male made his way to the back of his group, staying out of the verbal confrontation. He had fought and that was his job - no one asked him to downsize the enemy, so he would not.
Kiarra
Kiarra nodded with a smiled, "That's good" she whispered to Yersinia. Her attention was then turned to the new memeber, Rachet. Moving to the back where he was she smiled at him, "Are you okay?" She asked; she only had a couple of scratches, that was it, but she wanted to make sure everyone else was fine, plus she wanted to talk with him, figure out his personality.
Ratchet
Ratchet looked up at Kiarra, pulled from his thoughts. "Hmm? Oh, yeah, I'm fine." He said, giving her a half smile. All he recieved from the confrontation was a few cuts and bruises.
Kiarra
Nodding she smiled, "That's good" she said with another smile. "I don't really like fighting" she said with a sigh.
Manov and Co.
Ghost snarled and stepped towards Aaka, leavin her pups ungarded. "If everyone hadn't pilled on Cortinarri, you would be dead at this moment." She spat at her. She nenver knew how low one could go until she met Aaka, then she knew. You can get to rock bottem, and still get lower then that.
Revolution backed away from them, thinking all this was over for the time being. He turned and ran back to his packlands, he had better things to be doing.
Azja nodded to his 'family' to follow him back to the packlands that would be his once again. Then Azja, Akela, Anzac, and Islay all ran off.
White Flame snarled, now that this "war" was over, he had another to tend to if the nymph showed. As he left he snarled at Angel's Sin to follow. The two brothers loped off towards a terra that was not under control of either of them.
Death's Angel and Maverick walked towards Spirit slowly. Angel-We are heading to our packs now. I will inform Star that you will be coming. Then the two of them turned and ran off, both to seperate packs.
Ridged Edge barked for Ice to back off, they were to hunt then return to their packlands. The cougar snarled at everyone as he passed them, heading towards the tall grass lands, it was nearing winter and he was hungry and needed to stock up on food. Ice reluctantly back off, his fangs unstained as he bared them at Aaka for negotiating instead of fighting. He would deal with her when she returned to the packlands as well.
Manov leaned up against Cortinarri so she could lean back on him for support, he could see the condition she was in, and it wasnt good. "I'm going to Ghost's pack, everyone go where you can. We will round everyone up once things have settled down for a moment. His orbs slide sideways to looked at his mate to see if that was alright with her.
Tyrone backed off, away from the war seen, he had to find a pack, leave his pups to fend for themselves. Then he turned and emitted one low bark and ran off to find someone, somewhere, someplace.
Elgin turned as he saw his pathetic father run off, he snarled at him then motioned for his brothers and sister to follow him. They were headed to look for Black Fyre.
Forbidden walked back to Ghost's pups and picked one up in his maw and headed towards her packlands. Ghost was about to follow but she looked quickly at Spirit, then to Mitya and Dakota, then emitted a snort. The vix picked up another of her pups and barked for the others to follow as she headed for her packlands.
Cortinarri
Cortinarri was very much glad for her mate's support. She moved with a jerking limp, unable to use one hind limb. But at least she was still able to move about. Already, she was devising revenge in her furious mind. "Vevisca and Namir, go with Spirit." the alpha said suddenly without looking back at them. Cortinarri had her reasons.
Spirit
The wolfess nodded to Cortinarri, she was weak, it was clearly visible. She nodded again hearing Cortinarri's orders to Vevisca and Namir. She motioned for them to follow, and began to run down the trail to Avalanche Grove.
Vevisca
He followed after Spirit, holding his bloodied head low. He was blind in his right eye now, but at least his attacker hadn't done any more damage than that.
Namir
He wasn't badly injured at all. But he was a bit worried that he was going with someone he didn't know very well. Still, he was loyal and trusting of Cortinarri, so he followed after Spirit and Vevisca without a sound. By now, the young cougar was far too big for any wolf to pluck up.
