Paltisha
Paltisha who looked just like Palatina Kalabes sister had ended up lost from her father and mother. Her tail was tuck frightened. She whimpered and called out for her mother or father.
Villain
Around came the infamous Villain. Well, not so famous, but he was surely not one to forget after meeting. His awkward little dance of a walk had led him back to the Ruins to give update on his progress: Not so well. But he could try again.
It was in the middle of one of his hums that he heard the cries of a pup. Ears perked and eyes widened at the sound of the one calling for her parents. Was she lost? Abandoned? Or perhaps orphaned.Either way she had to be protected and he made his way to her.
"Hello there dear child, what is the matter?" He said, lowering his masked face but raising his tail. Soon the thought of bait came to play. She could be bait for someone larger, and the scent of blood made him very uneasy. "Are you lost? Did something happen?" He asked gently, concealing his suspicion of her being.
pal
She growled and watched as another dog came near her."Who Who are you? I was playing with my family and some how i got lost"She whimpered.
Villain
His eyes aflamed within when she spoke of losing her family. Oh the dear child, his wicked mind did play. " I'm sorry to hear that young one. Tell me, what is the name in which your parents go by? I can help you look for them." His gestures were ever so friendly. So kind, he wanted to help. It was obvious, his tail wagged and his head low, showing the most submissive of signs to the youngster to gain her trust. He didn't want to hurt her.
Pal
"my fathers name is Kalaber i never learned my mothers"SHe whimpered.
Villain
A flame sparked inside of him at the sound of his enemy's name. Though he did not show it through those manic eyes. "Poor child, you do not know your own mothers name..." He sighed and shook his head. "Come child, Stay under this tree, I shall look for them. It is not safe for you to be wondering around on your own." He said, nuzzling the pup softly to stay under the roots of a great pine. His words were so gentle, actions of a pup-adult. He never really grew up, and knew how to act his part. He cared for the child, but didn't care for her father, and probably wouldn't care for her mother. But his words were so kind, how could one not trust him?
Pal
She shivered at his touch but moved uner the tree."ppllease fine my family i miss them"She whimpered.
Villain
He nodded his head with assurance then turned and began to sniff the ground. Moving in the direction away from kalabers home, and then moving around and toward the home. At first his pace was slow, and then he moved swiftly so that she would not be able to keep up. As if hot on a trail. But he knew exactly where he was going.
-----
Hours past and the wolf came back full speed. He didn't look back, his head was low, his tail between his legs. Running up he barked to Pal, "Run!" He yelped as he past her, pausing for just a moment for her to collect herself then runing toward the down-town ruins. He spun around and entered one of the fallen stone houses. Deep within he entered a large room with a single window high up. Curling into the corner with sharp pants and trembling limbs. He shook his head and took a breath, but was to frightened to speak. He clenched his eyes and shook his head but could say nothing to the pup... it was... to horrible.
His stench was of wet mud and decaying leaves, and sweat that lathered him so. He looked as if he had seen the master Cerberus himself.
Pal
She watched him and immediatly ran but did not know why.She stoped only when he did.
Villain
The wolf continued to pant, shaking his head and whining a bit before he drew in a deep breath and sighed. Moments were quite, earily quite. "Shh." He instructed for the pup to stay quiet. Nothing, there was nothing out side. You could hear nothing, see nothing, smell nothing. "I-I think they didn't follow me..." He said his voice low and serious. The old happy wolf had gone, replaced by a wolf full of fear.
"Stay here." He said quietly as he made his way to the entrance of the house. Slowly peeking his head around and scanning the area. After his sight and perked ears did their scan, he closed his eyes and flattened his ears, taking deep wafts of the sky.
For a moment he held his nose up, as if concentrating on something, then let a deep sigh of relief escape. "They are gone.... We are safe... B-but those others.... oh those poor children...." He whispered to himself, though made himself loud enough for Pal to evesdrop on.
Turning he faced the wolf pup. Sorrow in his eyes. "Tell me... d-did you h-have two siblings? Your mother darker than your father?" He asked softly, his voice swam with the encouragement for her to say no. Oh how he wished she would say no. But he knew she would say yes, for he was explaining her family.
Pal
She listened and her ears flattened."ya...Yes"SHe whimpered."wh-why?" She whimpered again.
Villain
His spine went rigid with her answer and he shook slighly. He could not bear to tell her the news, oh, but she had the right to know. "I-I" He began, swallowing hard to force the words out. "I came along a group of wolves... A white male, a darker female, two pups..... a-and a yellow dog..." He said... shaking himself. "Th-They were being attacked by two cats... One orange... one white... I'm not sure what kind of feline... Maybe lion... or panther or something...." He whimpered. Eyes closed and head lowered. Greeving. The ones he spoke of were none other than Gaara and Mohan, but he wouldn't let Pal know that was who he was talking about. He would let her mind wander with pain. "I-I Saw.... Th-" He couldn't breathe through his fear of mentioning his sightings... "Th-The p-pups... they lay still..... A-and... one of them had a large cut, across his belly...." He held himself from crying, turning his head to look to the wall and biting his teeth.
"Th-The other... I c-could not see her head..... I- I" He couldn't mention that she looked decapitated. It was just so horrible. "The yellow dog laid still, his eyes open.... It was him I moved next to... H-he was not breathing... The fea had been slashed.. that... that is how they caught my attention. I only watched in fear for a few seconds. The fea struck the ground... I heard a snap.. She stopped moving..... The male... He kept up his rage.. He faught for his family.... b-but. It was two against one.... I couldn't bare to look. I turned and ran to get you. I didn't w-want you to s-suffer... t-to suffer the same fate."
He lowered his head now. Eyes burried under a greeving foot. His body tremble and whimpers escaped but were supressed. He had to act like an adult. If adults were scared, children had no reason to go into deep fear. "B-be brave young one." He said in a low whisper... Uncovering his closed eyes and lowering his head in shame... shame for not being there to help.
Pal
She listened and tears began to fall. She shook her head. "no no not possible"she whimpered. She knew what two cats he was talking about."m-mohan and gg-gaara wouldn't do such a thing!"She whimpered her body trembling."u-unless they are from my fathers arch enemy the the Shadow HhHaunters!"She laid down.
Villain
The wolf was quiet, letting the pup consume and digest what she had heard. When she spoke of the Shadow Haunters he was taken aback. His eyes turned to confusion. Quickly he defended his family, "N-not even the Shadow Haunters would harvest something so foul as to slaughter innocent children." He shook his head, angled down. "W-They protect their children as if they were gods. They take in orphaned children. Sure they fight their wars like vegans but to slaughter a child is against all their rule." He had no idea what a vegan was, but it sounded good. And to him, during his time, the Haunters had taken in all pups and raised them as their own. Pups in the Haunters were held to the highest regard. Only two had been killed for their disloyal ways, but Villain was told they had been killed by evil wolves... he was formed believed that; and not that Nachi had murdered them.
Soon Villain's eyes became dull with pain. He wanted to tell her his secret, that he was a Haunter. But she knew he would turn on him. It was not the time to reveal his identity, not yet. He would let the pup grieve a little longer, ask more questions, he hoped he sparked a curiosity about the - other - side of the Haunters, the one others failed to see.
Pal
She growled at littl."No I belive what my father tells me! Its like i can see it too. His mother and little sister was slaughte by them. and his other two are brainwashed! Your one of them evils aren't you?!"She now backed away.
Tahti/Hector/Sekunti
Tahti's pups were old enough to follow her out of the den. She figured that they needed to be introduced to the pack at some point. But then she smelled another - an enemy. She had just lost her first-born son to the opposing force. A low growl escaped her throat as she watched Pal and Villain. "Stay away from the pup, Friend. She's a mole." She warned. She walked closer and towered over the young female, glaring at her with one eye.
Hector and Sekunti watched their odd mother curiously, staying near their other siblings.
Kalaber & Pal
Pal whimpered now as others came forth. Her tail tucked tightly under herself.
Kalaber had finally found whee his daughters send was and came apon the scene and he immedialy ran and jumped in front of his daughter and his fangs bared.Snarl present."Back off Haunter!"He snarled his tail high and stiff.
Tahti/Hector/Sekunti
Tahti growled at Kalaber. "So we meet again, Mutt!" She snapped viciously. She had once been attacked by this wolf, and she had proof. Her right eye was gone. Then the memories came back to her. "You broke my son's legs! You killed him!" She spat, baring her teeth in a snarl. She lunged for the beast's throat. "You're going to pay for his death!"
Hector and Sekenti backed away and whimpered. Their mother's behavior was only normal to them, but nevertheless it was scary.
Kalaber
He snarled and had been watching her movements and was quick to dodge but instead of going for her."You think i am a fool to fight in a place full of trash?" He snarled and then jumped to his daughter plucked her up and ran for it.
Tahti
Tahti seemed to spit venom as she snarled viciously at Kalaber when he fled. "You can run...and run...and run..." She began. "But I will find you every time. I will hunt you down, and your pup, and you will wish you had never had the misfortune to meet me." She turned around and looked at Villain with her single eye. "The father is a murderer." She said in an angry tone. "I trust you to keep those mutts away from all I have left." With that, she stalked into the Temple, barking to her pups.
Hector didn't know what to think of this, but his mother must have some reason for acting in such a way. He and Sekunti followed.
Villian .+. Black Ivory .+. Owl
Villain was once again taken aback as the pup spoke against the Haunters. "W-We didn't kill your mother and sister. Your grandmother was killed by her own pack as your grandfather... he's.. not really himself." That had been the truth, It was Kage and Tyrant who had killed off White Tip. Tyrant was no Haunter, and before housing on their land, he was living under his brothers law. Just the same, a fee-loader, but none-the-less he was not so much a Haunter. He had her killed for other reasons. While Kage had her reasons well. While Tyrant attacked on behalf of Crucified, Kage attacked on behalf of Enola. Rapture only killed for the pleasure of seeing one die. Again, not a haunter.
"His sister was killed by..." That was when he turned to Tahti and shook his head. When she grew close to the pup, Villain stepped in the way, but then came Kalaber all to fast. He smirked to his enemy. Then he heard Tahti's words. "I-it was you who killed Liekki!" But all to fast and he was left alone. He shook and growled, he had to report this to Risen.
Black Ivory followed her mother. Not thinking twice about what had occurred, she knew she would probably have to get use to it. However the younger Owl shook his head and followed after his mother timidly.
