Hidden Betrayal

Alright, now to gain more on her side. And who other then Cavans crazy sister Nachi? She had one thing Risen did not, and that was Battered, a cougar with an attitude. Nachi seemed to like the attention of the cougar, so why not let her have him? But first, she needed to speak with Nachi. If she could gain the females trust...Or more then Risen anyway, then she could work on Cavan and plead with him that where Risen was taking this was all wrong. She was gaining more enemies then followers, she had failed to gain the packs of the Parnassian meadows which should have been easier then any other large pack but no Risen had to send her half sister, Sacrifice. The job would have been more well done with someone who seemed frail, innocent, charming. Betrayals eyes narrowed as she pondered who that could be in their pack when it clicked. Purgatory, another half sibling of the bitch. Betrayal laughed in dark humor and leaped upon a rock eyes scanning the terrain. She sought out Nachi, and it was Nachi that she raised her voice for.

Nachi

The words of Risen and Cavan lingered in her demented mind, but Nachi didn't take them all too seriously. She was an adult afterall, fully capable of taking care of herself.

"You called?" The wolfess spoke out, as she came padding along the stone ground, heading for Betrayal. "You missed a good hunt; my pups were perfect in their first attack." Nachi said, gloating over her little ones. But under her casual, calm demeanor, she held high suspicion for Hidden. Not just for Hidden though; Nachi was un-trusting of everyone in the pack aside from her brother and pups.

Hidden Betrayal

She smiled, and this time it was a genuine smile as she sat down. I am so pleased to hear that, Nachi. Maybe sometime we can go for a hunt. Just you, me, the pups, and Battered. The cougar was sitting in a tree, his eyes on Nachi and his tail hanging down as if he owned the place. Betrayal knew of Nachis ways, and how she fought not like a wolf, but other animals. Thats why Betrayal called her. Nachi, I was wondering....I know this is a silly request but would you mind...Showing me how to be like you? I want to learn your ways, how you train the pups, brainwash them. I want to be able to fight like you, in a way that is not wolven. Nachi....Show me what it means to live as you live. Her over bright yellow eyes seemed cautious and wary, but it wasn't of the wolfess. It was of herself.

Nachi

Half of her screamed not to trust this fae, and Risen's previous warnings lit up in her mind again. But as Betrayal spoke, she played on one of Nachi's strongest desires. Her love of big cats. It was even greater than her love of pups, and it was enough to blind Nachi to Betrayal's intentions. "You... you want to know how to be like me?" Her nose twitched as she picked up the scent of her cougar friend. "Ah, yes... I will teach you. It is a far better way to live than the way you live now, I'll tell you." Her excitement began to grow as she looked around, trying to spot the big cat, "I can smell him, where is he? We can show you how to hunt and fight like a true cat!"

Hidden Betrayal

She smiled warmly at Nachi and turned to look at a tree where the large cougar lay. With a groan the massive cougar jumped down with a loud thud and came forth. You never told me you wanted to be like a cat, Betrayal. He said softly. He smiled at Nachi as Betrayal just giggled. Yeah, I wanna be like you, Nachi. I want to do what you do. I want to be able to fight, climb and see as you do. Show me, through your eyes. It was just a matter of who was good and who was bad. Betrayal didn't like the way things were being run here. She didn't like Risen for being here. But she liked Nachi, had always enjoyed the crazy wolfess. She liked Cavan to an extent, for his son Tupit. But now Tupit was gone, and things were changing.

Nachi

Adoration shone in her eyes when Battered appeared, and she could have melted in joy when he smiled at her. "Who wouldn't want to be like you, Battered? Felines, they will rule the world some day, I know it. No one can match your skills." She praised him, then turned to Hidden Betrayal, "First, you have to move like a cougar. Move like fluid, like water- so no one can hear you. Learn to hold herself low and steady, with her muscles always tensed and ready to spring at any moment. You need poise and control that wolves don't understand." Bashing her own race, but as she saw it, she was no longer a wolf.

Hidden Betrayal

She frowned in concentration as she stood. She tensed her entire body as Nachi instructed, and stepped forth then leaping down to where the wolf and cougar were. She landed, but there was an audible thump as she did so. Like this? She asked as she began to walk. Her head was down, tail loose her entire body tense. She kept her eyes on a target, which was right now a large rock out cropping. Now and then she stepped on twigs snapping them and when she did she winced but kept moving onward. She wanted to get this right, and she wanted to make sure that she had Nachi as a loyal friend. Not pack member, a friend.

The cougar watched Betrayal his dark eyes taking in her movements. She was much to tense, and he said so Relax a little. You look like a spring. Just keep your eyes open, ears always moving. Tense, but to a certain point. You want to appear relaxed, but ready. HE didn't know how else to word this, but it was the best he could do. Nachi would know better, he had always just done this naturally.

Nachi

Carefully studying all of Betrayal's movements, Nachi replied, "It's good for a first try, but you need to be more aware of your surroundings. Avoid stepping on things that will betray your presence. Sticks, dry leaves, loose gravel." An ear flickered to Battered when he offered advice as well. Nachi nodded in agreement, "He's right; keep your muscels tense, but not too tense. You need to be able to compensate for a long jump, and not slam your paws hard on the ground. Let your entire body follow through with the jump and absorb the impact."

Betrayal

She frowned but nodded at the two. She took a deep breath, and tried something different. Closing her eyes, she turned and did just as Battered said. She swiveled her ears, listening. She could hear a snarl in the distance, Cavan. A shriek, that was Disaster. She could hear birds chirping, the breathing of the two beside her. She took a step for, her body tense yet relaxed. No sound was made. Her eyes opened and she took another step, and another. Carefully she did as they instructed making sure to avoid dry leave leaves and twigs. She sat back a bit and leapt forth, and landed with a much softer thud then before. Turning she looked them looking for approval.

Nachi

A light smile lit on her face as Betrayal retried the motions, "Even better; you I think, have exactly what it take to be a cougar. You know," Nachi sat back on her haunches, a thoughtful look coming to her usually crazed orbs, "I judged you too quickly before. You are different than the othes, Betrayal. And that's good... the others, they are stupid sheep that don't think for themselves." Her eyes flickered to Battered, "But we are different, we are stronger..." Now she paused as the sound of her brother's snarls could be heard, along with the cries of the other two. "...my brother, he won't like this. We must keep this a secret from him, alright?"
