Sebastion
The Border collie was entirely wiped out as he trotted into the ruins. He had a feeling this place was dangerous, especially to a dog, but at this point, he didn't even care. He wanted to find some shelter for the night. The sun had already begun lowering, finishing the day off with it's sunset glow. A light sigh eased from the canine's maw as he breathed roughly, shaking his pelt free of a bit of dirt. Being a pure Border collie, he didn't tire easily, and had some excellent skills, especially when it came to agility. He would run himself dry if no one stopped him. Sighing once more, he made his way into a shelter, ignoring the scent of wolven blood. He turned to a flight of stairs at the far back and trailed up them easily, holding his banner, which was feathered with long fur that hung down on the underside, low. It swung back and fourth with his rapid movements. Like all or most Border collies, he had his long fur that hung down right through the middle of his belly. Yes, his fur was fairly long with slight curls, but even if it was summer, his pelt didn't thin out too much at all. He made his way to the back corner from the steps, and curled up, sneezing. This place was full of dust! He shook his black and white dial and laid down with a thud, careless and sudden with his movements, just letting his body fall in a lifeless manner. Then he curled up, and rested his head by the rest of his body, and then curling his tail over his face. Now, time for a well-earned nap.
Sacrifice
A gray wolf slunk into the lands late at night. Her eyes tired from the day's event and she was heading toward the temple when she passed a trespasser. Her eyes narrowed and then she soon diverted and followed after him. Heading up slowly after him a good ways behind him so that if he would turn she could hide behind each corner. When he got to his resting stop she came in behind him, with a half startled approach. "Oh my? who are you." She smiled and flicked her tail, this was the begining of her training to lie. So-far so-good. "I'm sorry, I didn't expect anyone else to come to my room. This is where I have been resting for 2 fulls moons. Even before that strange new pack has come here... M-my name is Fire, what is your's brute." She had a kindly smile on her face. No hint of smell from this pack yet for she was new to the Shadow Haunters. Her tail was out straight as well as her head to signify a longer stance. Peacefully she awaited the dogs responce.
Sebastion
The Border collie continued to nap, enjoying the snooze. Though he never understood how you could enjoy sleeping when you weren't awake. It baffled him greatly. Suddenly, he awake with a start. His eyes flung wide open, and his dial lifted automatically, auds pricked. Low growls erupted from deep within his throat, but he kept calm. He listened to the fae's words, but there was something about her that made her uneasy. He narrowed his eyes and furrowed his brows at her. "Sebastion..." he replied, almost at a whisper, " What do you mean, two full moons? And what do you want?" he asked briskly in his young voice(though he isn't a pup), shaking his fairly thick pelt. His eyes glowed in the darkness as the moonlight hit them with the tiniest crack in the wall. He snorted, and eased his way up onto his haunches, and scratched at his neck with a hindpaw. Then he continued to watch her, eyes holding a sleepy look. "I don't smell your scent around here." he then stated, slightly floppy ears pricking again. How could she have been here without leaving a scent? He was growing a bit suspicious about this character.
Sacrifice
As he growled, she lowered her stance. Orbs finding sight at his feet. "Full moons.. luna has been full 2 nights that I have been here." She began to walk to a back corner of the room. A place that had the least dust. "I have not claimed it, I .. I just have been sleeping here.. resting as you would say.. I feel safer in here at night." She promptly laid down in the area she circled once. "You can stay the night if you wish, if those barbarians try and invade, at least there will be two of us against them." She whispered softly and closed her eyes, sleep seeming to take her.
Sebastion
Sebastion looked on as she lowered her stance and laid her eyes on his paws. He tilted his dial, a bit confused, but now standing. "If you stay here then I can leave... There's plenty of other temples out there." he stated, shutting the pack out of his mind. He was tired and wanted some sleep. Could he get that? He didn't understand why this fae would wake him up, especially since there were so many other places to sleep if someone was already occupying this one. But he shook the thought off, and started for the flight of stairs, dial leveled with his shoulders, and banner hanging low and free-swaying.
Purgatory
I moved swiftly heading up the stairs, following my sisters scent closely. I rounded a bend in the spiral stair case and nearly ran head on into some unknown....Dog? I had never seen a dog before. Only wolves. "Uh...Is my sister up there? I....I need to talk to her." If it was possible I would be blushing. I wasn't used to talking to strangers. Nor lying for that matter. Although my sister is younger, I am the one who held the innocence of the family. I smile uncertainly at him, shuffling my feet. My eyes fall to the ground and then glance back up at him awaiting his answer.
Sebastion
Sebastion's eyes widened as he nearly tripped over his own paws, trying to avoid the oncoming wolf. His dial was lifted higher now, observing the other canine with mild interest. His auds caught the words as they drifted along, and he shrugged, "If you mean her," he began, motioning to the fae with his head, "then you've found her." he then finished, sidestepping around the wolven brute. But then he turned just above the stairs, and looked back at the wolves. He was curious as to what was going on here. Maybe hanging around a bit longer would reveal some stuff, but whatever it was, it'de be worthless to him.
Purgatory
I smile at him faintly and whisper "Thank you." With that I bolt up the stairs, all feminie grace forgotten. "Sister! Lions here!" Lion had been my only friend back at our old pack. I wanted him to stay forever but I knew he would have to go back. He didn't belong to us. But....Maybe I could convince him to stay with me. Yeah! Thats it. Convince him he had to stay and be with me.
Sacrifice
The silver fea walked down the stairs following the brute. Then she saw her sister and listened to her words she smiled. "Yes, Lion is here. And he shall stay here sis, for you." She smiled and nodded then turned back to the brute. "Sebastion. I suggest you stay safe... What do you think... of power? Are you strong or submissive? Do you like bowing to those around you." She smiled her hackles raising. If the brute answered with no, she was ready to attack.
Nachi & Cavan
Cavan gave a soft growl when Purgatory entered the den where he was guarding three pups, but otherwise offered no protest to him. After all, he was just another youngster, and Cavan knew he could handle him if he tried anything. Then, his jolted up as he heard two more voices; those not of a pup's. Ah, crap... this little temple that Nachi had picked out connected to another one?
Cavan entered the temple and made his way to the stairs, traveling the short distance until he came upon Sacrifice and Sebastion. For a moment, he stood there, watching them carefully and taking up their scent; one was on his side, and the other a stranger. Without saying a word, Cavan sat back down, keeping an eye on Sebastion now, while glancing back every now and then to be sure the three pups weren't going anywhere.
After several minutes, Nachi had returned, sprinting hard. "Cavh! Hurry, Cahv!" She barked out, eyes bright with furious anger.
Cavan rushed back along the stairs, coming out the original temple to greet his sister, "Nachi, what happened? Who did this to you?" He growled, inspecting the wound on her neck.
"Some fae; I don't know her, but she's being taken care of right now. How are the pups?" The sister said, switching the subject and peering behind her brother into the temple.
He shook his head, "They're fine, Nach. Risen has called us to attack; think you can handle watching the pups now? I can stay with you, if you need..." He offered his sister, eyeing her neck again.
She tilted her head to the side in a curious manner, "I'm fine, go along and rip those wolves to pieces for me. I can handle these little ones." She brushed past Cavan while flicking her tail over him, as a human would put their arm over a sibling's back in a gesture of comradeship. Then she disappeared into the den. Cavan, with one last glance to his sister, headed out for the Toklat Canyon.
Nachi carefully stepped around the pups, heading for the stairs as she too went to inspect the strangers. Ah, one she knew; the other she didn't. The wolfess growled ominously at Sebastion, seeing him as a threat to her newly won pups. "Get out of my temple!" The wolf hissed, her eyes narrowed and fangs bared like a protective mother. For a moment, those eyes flashed to Purgatory, and instantly, they softened, "And you, come in here, darling. I will protect you, and you can play with my little pups." Then it was right back to Sebastion, eyes fuming with rage. Yes, she was certainly something else.
Sebastion
Sebastion looked at the wolf whom had asked her the questions. "For your information, my breed isn't known for our strength, but our agility. I am only submizzive to those who deserve it, and I'm not about to bow down any time soon." he stated, growling lightly as she raised her hackles. Now he was seeing all of this suspicious falling into place. He showed his glinting fangs slightly, uncaring. Then, another wolf appeared, then went, and another came in. He turned his firey orbs to her, showing his teeth fully now. "I'de watch who you're talking to." he stated breifly, his own hackles raising. He snarled lightly as he sprang for the door, and began bounding away. He disliked this place; all wolves were crazy in his eyes.
Purgatory
I yip and grin at Nachi before tearing off away from my sister. He was a gift? For me? Like Nachi, I was not completely right in the head. I made things how I wanted them. No matter what the case was. I yip and run towards Lion and pounce on him. "Lion! Look, I'm here to!" It was funny how I made myself a sacrifice to others. Like my sister. Oh how I loved my sister. I would walk through fire for her. I would sell my body for her. I had found out that only females could do that. Sucks that I am one. But oh well. I grin at my only friend and nip at his ears. I was definetly the kindest of my siblings.
Sacrifice
Golden eyes narrowed as the brute answered her, then followed his sight out of the cave. He was weak to have to run, she didn't even attempt to go after him. There was more important matters at hand. Like the fight...
She turned a soft gaze to Nachi through a patched face. Smiling and nodding to attend her business with the pups. Plans were taking action left and right, something she wanted... order, wordly order, something to do instead of sit and rot in that goodie good's lands.
She turned her agile frame to her sister and nodded. "Play with Lion for now, but if we need you please come." With a nod of her fragile head she turned and cantered after Cavan to join the fight.
Lion, Outcast, & Tersek
Lion was a bit stand offish at first, overwhelmed by everything that had happened in so short a time; one minute, he was hunting with his siblings... the next, running for his life with some stranger. But, being young still, the enticement of play swayed his attitude to a happier one. Here at least was a friend he knew, and a distraction from all the confusing things that were happening. With a grin and a playful growl, he twisted his head around and tried to grab a hold of Purgatory's paw, "I'll get you for that!" He said, trying to shove her off of him.
Tersek watch the two play, and debated whether or not to join in. He was the dominant one in the bunch, and very outgoing. But what he gained for in size and strength, he lacked in common sense and intelligence. Bold and brash, but not a clear thinker; that wasn't a good combination, but it helped that he was to grow to an impressive size as an adult. He began to explore around the temple.
Outcast was outgoing as well, and had a sharp tounge to go with. One of those sassy little pups that always snapped back to others. And that's just what she did. "I want to go see my mom now. You lost my sister, by the way, and if you haven't noticed, she still isn't here!" Outcast pointed out, eyes narrowed accusingly at Nachi while her little fangs were bared.
Sacrifice .+. Ynear
The scamp darted into the lands with Palatina, one of Crucified's pups, dropping her right at the doorstep of the temple. Howling to Nachi to grab this pup before it ran off. Soon she wheeled around and darted back to the fight only to return with one more pup. Ynear bounced limply as Sacrifice brought her into the land. Sacrifice was exhausted but placed her down at the doorstep along with her older sister. Then turned and troted away with next to no breath, she had done part of her job, she had to do the last bit.
Ynear cried and looked around the temple then heard Outcast's voice in the temple. Screaching loudly for her only slightly older aunt, "Outcast, where are you!" She whimpered and began to take a few steps toward into the temple. Looking to Palatina for some sort of hint.
vatani and rouge
Rouge and Vatani tailed Sacrifice diligently, their minds set. Ynear and Pelitina would be brought back, no matter what. Lucky for the sisters, Sacrifice went off quickly after dropping off the pups. Vatani darted in the temple and snatched up Ynear before she got to far in. They had to get out of there NOW. Vatani leapt out just as Rouge collected Pelitina off the doorstep and they departed quickly and silently. Best they made no noise as to not attract any unwanted attention. Their mission complete, the two siblings left only their scents as a fact that they had been there as they headed off to intercept White Tip and lead her to safety.
Nachi
Nachi had watched as Sacrifice left, and turned quickly to speak with Outcast. "My little one, your sister will be here soon enough. Calm your mouth and play, sweet thing." In her tones there was nothing but tenderness and patience, but, behind the motherly mask of her features, there was a spark of annoyance. And... something else.
Sitting back on her haunches, the wolfess perked her ears up as she heard the approach of another. Sacrifice was back, with two pups! But, before Nachi had time to come forward and seize them into the safety of the temple, two unknown faes came and snatched them away. Growling bitterly, the wolfess rushed to the door, watching the two flee. Lashing her tail once behind her, Nachi dipped her muzzle and gathered their scents. She would not forget these two.
