After a goodbye wind, a horse emerged from the depths of the forest onto the newly own pack lands. This was suicide, but she had to find her daughter. There was no going back as soon as she touched the solid ground.
Her eyes grew dark as she looked just beyond the bog she was in, her mind flicking between flight or fight. Run away and let your daughter die, or climb onto the land and face these creatures in hopes to find your only daughter. Her mind was racing with wild thoughts, becoming more and more violent, as if yelling to her. You could always go have another one if your daughter is dead, why risk your own life to save hers. She’s probably already dead, if not about to die, just leave it be and go back to the herd lands.
Her mind was about to convince her to run…. But not now.. Not when she was so far. Her large feathered hoof pulled out of the sucking mud and placed it with a stamp on the solid dirt floor. Then she heaved the rest of her body out and began to walk into the ruins. Her ears swiveling around at the sound of fighting and growling wolves… this was not comforting. Scenters continued to take in her daughter’s smell, as well as Legend’s however Hartheil’s smell was gone… he must have been killed in the bog along with the mother moose and the moose calf. Poor darlings
She passed a stone and looked in the distance as two bloody wolves stood against four others, then turned her head to a fighting noise just inside a temple. She tried to ignore the noises and moved through, keeping her nose open it led her to a house, then to a pillar, then to some rocks. But something frightened her… she couldn’t smell her daughter after the rocks.
Gypsy vanner turned hastily around looking for trails, scents, prints, something! She couldn’t see anything but old wolf treads and faded hoof prints. She began to follow the hoof prints. Leading her right into the middle of the land. There she stood as they faded then continued forth, into two directions. She sighed almost giving up…. Unable to decide which ones to follow.
