Lark Volkov/Anya

The black-haired woman stepped down into the basement, a dog walking beside her on a leash. She led the dog into the pen and closed the gate. "Khoroshaia devochka, Anya." She whispered before turning around to face the crowd. "I have a champion here. Who wants a fight?" She called out to them.

Anya wagged her tail, watching the crowd.

Hate .+. Thrasher

Moving in with, now, two tickets in his hand, and Thrasher to his left. Hate raised his hand. "I've got a fighter." He called, Opening the other gate and letting in his mixed dog. "And i'll place $200 on Thrasher." He snickerd.

Thrasher stood in the rink, a well mix between Doberman, Rottweiler, and wolf. His body was that of a well muscled Doberman, but his jaws were short and powerful. "Hey beautiful." He taunted to the Husky.

Lark Volkov/Anya

Lark smirked and watched the other dog enter the pen. "I'll place $350 on Anya." She replied, feeling quite confident in her dog.

The West Siberian Laika growled at her opponent and raised her hackles. "I'm not beautiful. And just for that stupid remark of yours I'm not going to go easy on you." Anya spat. "Naladenie!" Lark shouted. Immediately, Anya sprung into action, launching her small body at Thrasher. She hoped to get a hold on his face.

Thrasher

Hearing the strange words made the dog look to the side for a second then turned back as Anya gave a nice sound to the side of his face. He growled and scampered away. Snarling before running around the pin and then launching himself at her neck and shoulder.

Anya

Anya may be smaller than Thrasher, but she was also quicker. Lark believed that speed was one of the most important factors for fighting dogs. The dog spun around to face her enemy and leapt up to meet him fang-to-fang.

Thrasher

Giving her a good par with her fang fight. Thrasher began to bite to get a hold on her jaw, lower preferable, but he would take her top muzzle as well if he could.

Anya

Anya snarled as she felt fangs in her upper jaw. She stood still for a few seconds, then, without warning, jerked her head to the side in an attempt to break Thrasher's neck.

Thrasher

When he felt his hold, he began to bite down as hard as he could. When she went to thrash, he braced himself and let her fight against his pull. Then yanked back to pop her neck or break her muzzle.

Anya

Anya felt blood seep from the wounds on her muzzle. She lifted her front legs up and used them to hang onto Thrasher's neck. When he yanked back, her whole body went with him. Once she had regained herself, she tried to bite down on Thrasher's lower jaw. If she did, she'd thrash back and forth.

Thrasher

Snarling, he could taste her blood. Licking it up in his mouth as he kept his hold. Then he felt her front legs and growled. Trying to back away, but he couldn't let go now or she'd break his jaw. "I don't think so honey." He growled, before pushing back at her as she thrashed. He felt his head move, but the closer he grew, the less momentum she would have to break anything. His goal was now to knock her over.

Anya

Anya stepped back as Thrasher pushed. She wasn't going down easily. "Umiraet chudovishche!" She spat, twisting her head side to side. She would keep trying to break this dog's jaw.

Thrasher

He continued to back her, hoping to pin her against the wall, smiling all the while. Then picking himself up and putting his paws around her neck. "Sorry dove.." He opened his mouth and chomped down harder, trying to tear enough for her to let go of him.

Lark Volkov/Anya/Kirill

Anya let go, blood dripping from her mouth. In a flash, she attacked again, this time for Thrasher's shoulder.

Lark watched with awe as the dogs attacked each other. A white Gyrfalcon could be seen sitting on her shoulder. "Ostanovit ego!" Kirill chanted, flapping his wings.

Thrasher

Growling at the unknown language, Thrasher cursed. "Speak English You stupid bird!" It had distracted him just long enough for Anya to get a good hold on his shoulder. "Damn it!" He snarled and turned, bitting at her belly.

Anya/Kirill

Anya stepped to Thrasher's side before he could sink his teeth into her. Then she began tearing savagely at the hybrid's shoulder, trying to rip the flesh off.

"Net!" Kirill shot back at Thrasher. "Nemym sobaka! Nemym sobaka!" He taunted. If he wasn't chained to Lark's arm, he'd go down there and give that hybrid what's coming to him.

Hate .+. Thrasher

The man glanced over to the bird and grunted a little. "Why don't you keep your bird quiet, before I consider this cheat'n ma'am" He said before he turned back to the fight.

Thrasher growled at the bird. Ready to snap at it before swinging back around with his rot like jaws. This time aiming for her front paw and at the same time picking up his back paw and kicking at her shoulder.

Lark Volkov/Anya/Kirill

Lark put a hood over Kirill's head and sneered at Hate. "Perhaps you forgot that I started this fight. I'll decide what's cheating and what's not." She hissed.

Kirill was silent after all went dark.

Anya let go and circled around, then leapt at Thrasher, trying to rip at his abdomen.

Thrasher

Hate's eyes flicked to her. "That puts it all into your favor, which is unfair." He then smiled and scooted to her, brown eyes searching the bird in case it would attack him. Then he reached into his pocket and handed her a card. "The name's Hate, Me and my brothers run a fighting farm. We are thinking of holding a tournament sometime soon. You have a good fighter, I would like to see you there." He returned to where he was.

The card he handed her was a business card:

And in small text at the bottom:

--

He tried to keep up with her, but obvious fatigue began to overwhelm him, as she attacked his side, he grunted and then bit at her face. Hoping to tear off an ear or chunk of skin.

Lark Volkov/Anya/Kirill

Lark shook her head, but smiled. "Perhaps you're unfamiliar with Volkov Family Dogfighting. Quite famous back in Russia. Anything can be used to distract the other dog, but the other dog must not be touched by anything besides your fighter." She replied, staring at Hate with those cold, gray eyes of hers. "I'm Lark, by the way. Lark Volkov." She took the card, looked at it and put it in her pocket. "My fighter is Anya. She's the daughter of our two best fighters."

Kirill flapped his wings. "Anya? Lark? You there?" He called out.

Anya snarled as Thrasher's teeth sliced through the skin on her muzzle. She pulled herself away, then dodged down and snapped up at his throat. If she got a hold, she would thrash back and forth in an attempt to cut off his breathing.

Hate .+. Thrasher

Hate looked at her, "I am not from Russia." There was a humored smile. "I have not played by those rules, maybe one day I can, but for now we are in a basement. So we will go with dog vs dog." He looked to Thrasher as Anya successfully got his windpipe. Snarling he kicked out at her, but his attempts failed. "My father was a selfish bastard, wouldn't even let me have the dog I bred and raised, too good of a fighter to give to a beginner. Pft, I've been pit fighting my whole life. So we moved here empty handed. This is the son of Murder, A dog who is used to this pit, but this is actually Thrasher's first fight."

Thrashers movements slowed, his growling growing dim. His raised tail soon lowered, as his mind began to fuzz. Hate glared, "I'd be greatful if you called Anya off. You have won the fight." He smirked to her with a sway that revealed his uneasy lose.

Lark Volkov/Anya/Kirill

Lark smiled and nodded as Hate spoke. ",b>Anya! Octanovit!" She ordered. Anya stepped away from Thrasher. Lark opened the gate so the injured dog could get out. Then she pulled a length of gauze out of her pocket and wrapped Anya's injuries. Once this was done she took the hood off of Kirill's head. The gyrfalcon looked down at Anya. "Vy von?" He asked. Anya wagged her tail and looked up at Kirill. "Da." The dog replied victoriously.

Hate .+. Thrasher

He walked into the pit and put a leash around the near unconscious dog. Yankin up a bit harshly before dragging the rott doberman out. Thrasher growled, limping with a wounded body and a very much wounded pride.

Hate looked up and tipped an invisible hat with a bow. "Good fight m'lady. I hope you consider that phone number there for a rematch one day. As for now, I gotta put this piece a' crud away for training. I hope you have a dandy night here." He lifted his posture and began to move out. "Adios Senorita." He called as he left the Pit.

Lark Volkov/Anya/Kirill/Zola

Lark smiled and left the Pit, hopping onto her mare and speeding away.
