Ethan
Ethan was very pleased with his fighter, now ranked as the best fighter in town. Ethan opened the gait of the pit and clenched the wooden stick tight in his hand, "Come!" He commanded and back to head for the door that led to the garage. The storm had since let up a good deal.
Rocky Road
The gate was opened and a sudden wave of dissapointment washed over him, he was to fight again? He paused there, staying at Ethan with a bored look as he shouted his command. What did he want now? He trotted out of the pit but did not follow his master, instead moving over to the other kennels that contained the other fighters. He reached one with another male wolf in it, and they began to try to fight through the fence. Following eachother through the fence, snapping at the bars, growling, and making general havoc in the once somewhat quiet pit.
Ethan
He stopped, glaring back at his disobeying fighter. His face twisted into a look of anger and disgust, although there was a hint of pleasure somewhere in there; for he could see Rocky certainly did have the fighting spirit! But, Ethan wouldn't tolerate insubordination. Stalking towards the hybrid, he pulled the shocker box out and shouted at Rocky to get his attention.
"Here, ya want some a' this?!" he snarled out, waving the box. He wasn't sure if Rocky had made the connection with the little black object and the painful shocks, but he'd test it soon enough. Now he waited for the reaction, which would determine whether or not King Lapid got a shock.
Rocky Road
As ethan came forward the contained wolf made a mistake of sticking his muzzle to far out at an attempt to bite him. Rocky Road moved fast and clamped his jaws over the sensitive nose, loosing his hold as the other brought it back with the smallest of yelps. Rocky followed his move with placing both of his front paws on the kennel, slamming hard against it. The sudden pressure of the large hybrid sent the kennel falling on its side, surprising both the wolf and the hybrid. It landing with a loud clang, rocky following it some eince he had most of his weight on it, then jumping to the side and two strides away from it, hindquarters down from the sudden and clashing noise. The wolf insied seemed unhurt, but terribly angry, thrasing about in his new position. The door was skillfully locked and it not open, but it did seem damaged. Rocky brought himself back to his full height, fur bristling again as he prepared to reapproach the wolf. Ethan's words came to him as he did so.
The words were meaningless to him, but the tone was not. Use to it he was, but he gave an angry and wrathful look at him anyway. There was that strange box in his hand, oh how he would like to crush it in his teeth. The realization that the fumbling with said box, followed closely by his pain, was engraven in his mind, and he did not go back tot he mad wolf. But turned his back to him and glowered not at Ethan, but the box. He wasn't much afarid of Ethan anyway. His growl was full of meaning, but quieter then it was before, as if afarid it might anger the box. Though he hate to admit it, he knew it was hard to fight the box. Everytime he even approached with an angry face it attacked him, trying to beat him into submission. It had not yet gained that, but it did gain respect. His whites were still deadly framed by his snarl, growl rumbling low, hackles raised, and stance aggresive, but hsi tail was some what down, just a hair. But someone looking for it could tell it was not at its full dominance as it usually was held at. It could be because it still hurt from the now dead wolf clamping on to it, but Ethan may know better.
He suddenly dropped to a hunting crouch, eyes still on the box as he made a wide circle, sometimes brushing against the walls, around it. He slipped into the doorway to the garage and moved into the more or less center of the room, which was not taken up by cars and trucks. He whipped himself around as if something may try to come up behind him, instantly back into his fighting stance, ready for anything.
Ethan
He dark, srcrutinizing eyes studied every aspect of Rocky's movements. Ah, yes, he could see that his fighter was now more thoughtful of the box. "You're not such a dumb beast, huh?" Ethan scoffed, noting the subtle ways in which Rocky showed a bit less dominance. That was perfect in Ethan's views. With enough courage and spirit to show defiance but the brains to know when not to attack. Ethan had trained countless other wolves, dogs, and hybrids. And some of them never learned; too strong-willed, or will that was too easily shattered. But Rocky seemed like the perfect mixture.
Still, it didn't leave Ethan any room for errors. He knew that one slip up could mean his life. But the man was well experienced, and the chance of him slipping up were nothing to count on. So now he held the box in Rocky's view and strode confidentally into the garage again. Assuming that Rocky wouldn't cooperate and voluntarily go into his transport crate, Ethan used different tactics.
From a deep freeze, he pulled out a few frozen chips of caribou meat and tossed them into the crate, at the very back. Then a few were tossed to the ground near Rocky so as he could inspect them at his own will. Now Ethan waited once more, his eyes never leaving his fighter. Of course, if Rocky didn't go in for the meat, Ethan had other means.
Rocky Road
The smell of the meat hit the beast almost instantly, his stance instantly wavering at the tasty smell. He saw Ethan toss it in the crate and growled, he didn't want to go in there. But then some more was tossed at him. At first he took a step back with a snarl, then quieted as he caustiously moved forward to the meat. After making sure no one was coming after him he licked the pieces up and then moved back in the opposite corner. The taste was satisfying and he did truly want some more, but the little box he was asked to go in was enough to force the pleasure of the meat out of his mind.
Ethan
He had figured that the little trick wouldn't work, so he wasn't all too surprised when Rocky only took the meat that was tossed to him. Stalking angrily to the box, he removed the meat and tossed in back into the deep freeze. "Want it that way? I don't mind." He growled out with furrowed brows. Right now, patience wasn't on his side. He turned the shocker box on full blast.
After the quick, tremendous blast of energy, Ethan strolled over to Rocky, who'd be a bit out of it for a few moments. Working swifly so that he wouldn't have to deal with some angry jaws, Ethan dragged the hybrid to the crate and shoved him in. And with quite a bit of difficulty, he tugged the crate into his vehicle, with the help of two small ramps. Mumbling things under his breath, the man drove off towards the Ashen Domes.
Rocky Road
Rocky Road growled as the box found itself in Ethan's hands again, figiting slightly. Seeing the meat he hesitated again, watching it carefully as it was carried off, then growled when it was put away. Ethan spoke and he growled louder, only to find a painful sensation afterwards. His growl cut sort in a high pitch yelp as a shocking amount of energy ran up and down his spine then throughout his body. His knees instantly buckled underneath himself as he hit hard against the ground, blacking out as he did so.
He awoke quickly, just as Ethan was closing the kennel gate on him. BUt he could not stand until he was on the truck. By the time it was put in gear and began rolling on he was back to normal, growling darkly. But he knew that there was no point of struggling, you don't get out of a kennel until it was opened.
