Kaida

Kaida came back to this familiar place. Having been raised at the Labs, she knew this place well: she had traveled back and forth several times. The large female had gained weight at last and had come back looking about, and kind of looking for the man who used to fight her. He had called her Shamara, but she was not sure he would still be alive. He had been badly wounded the last time she had seen him, and maybe he was dead. But the fairy was looking for a fight, and waiting to be caught.

A young man of 19 came out of the building not long after the canine padded up. He was closing it for the night, turning to lock the pit door. He was mostly a worker at the pit. He was anxious to get a figther of his own, but has not yet came across one. So to help himself on his way of getting one, he decided to come over to the pit since the age of 15. The older men thought he was joke, and just used him to clean the place and lock it at night.

He took a double take at the beast before him and almost laughed with joy. There was his fighter, just sitting there waiting to be caught, ha! Un-wrapping the chain he hung around his belt he slung it over the beast's head with a well practiced flip. He was young, but not unexperienced. As soon as it landed around the female's neck, assuming it did so, he would tighten it quick, almost to the choking point.

Kaida

She hadn't been prepared for his quick reaction. Her opinion of humans was low and she often underestimated them. The chain thus landed around her neck and she growled, lunging away, but of course the chain caught her up short. So she leapt for the man instead, hoping to tear some chunks out of him.

*human*

The young man smiled triumphantly, looking at the canine eagerly. And was hardly prepared for what came next. He worked well with aggressive canines most of the time, but the quick captre startled the boy. He shook the keys he still held and threw them at the canine's face, hoping for a distraction. And then in a quick movement picked up the rest of the chain and swung it around to hit the beast back. At the time he kicked the door open again, tugging the beast in and keeping it on bay with fierce whacks with the hard chain.

Kaida

Kaida growled as the chain lobbed her back, but would not give the human the pleasure of hearing her yelp. She kept up her charges, but was held at bay by the chain-weilding youth as the resisted with all her strength while he dragged her inside.

Forbidden Time

A Gray wolf, having beend captured from the wild, sat up in his small dark cage. He growled hitting the door harshly. He growled menacingly at both of them.

Kaida

Border collie mix heard the racket as the male slammed against the door. She growled low and brought her jaws together with an audible snap. Her black and white pelt was that of her mother, the collie, but there the resemblance ended. Her snout was too short, her legs too long, her body too heavy for the collie. Her wild, demonic eyes were set widely above her stubby muzzle, and she flashed the male a look that held all the hatred in the world. If there was anything she hated more in the world than humans, it was male wolves. She still resisted the youth's dragging, but a low snarl kept low in her throat all the while.

*human*

The boy was pleased, though he breathed through clenched teeth as he slowly dragged the beast in. As he passed the male he laughed, "want to go up against him girl? I can get that arranged." He eventually made it to an empty kennel in sight of the male wolf. Hitting the female harshly on the nose and back he quickly threaded the chain through one of the back bars. he hit the border collie mix again just for good measure or if she tried to use the distraction to her advantage. With the added leverage he pulled her in, closing and locking the door behind the she-beast. The kennel was barely big enough for her to stand and turn around, but it would be a tight fit.

Kaida

She growled as she was bashed about, and snapped back at him, but of course she missed becuase he closed her in the pen. She spent a few second throwing herself at the door in fury, but she wasn't stupid. After her fury was spent she lay down, still seething.

*human*

Ignoring her as she thrashed about he busied himself by takeing the end of the chain and tying it to a pole near by. The chain was long enough that tying it wouldn't bother her (unless she twisted it around something), it just insured he could get it back without losing fingers. He stood back watching her calm down with a smile. "There you go, no point of wasting your energy." He talked smoothly and almost gently, but had a dangerous smile. He went off into some corner and came out with a bowl, filling it up with water from a hose. He wasn't quite as rude as the others (who would just spray the hose on the beasts) and preferred using the bowl. He placed teh bowl in front of the kennel and pushed it within her reach her with a thick leathered boot. "There, but don't knock it over or I will resort to spraying you with the hose." He cleaned up some spots he had noticed and then voiced a good-bye, locking the door after him. She would fight the next day.

Kaida

She nosed the bowl gently, sniffing to make sure he hadn't put anything but water in it, and when she had decided it was okay, she lapped it up carefully, making no mess and not dumping the bowl. Apparently, this master was not so cruel as some of her others had been. She still had scars from her last Pit master. Any sentence he spoke about his Shamara was liable to contain swear words and to be accompanied by a swift kick to her anatomy, or a blade slashing somewhere. Unlike most Pit fighters, the scars she had recieved from fights were few. Most of them were from her former master.
