*Humans*

A crate was hauled down the basement stairs and placed in the door of the Pit. Opening the crate, it was upended and a mix-breed dog was dumped out. They quickly closed the door and stepped back. Now they waited for another fighter to be brought in.

*Humans*

Two humans entered shortly after, hauling a crate down the stairs with them. Inside was Shadow. The placed the crate in front of the Pit door and opened it.

Shadow

She growled as they prodded her with poles trying to get her out of the cage. Finally, she gave in. The black lupine leapt out. Her muscles made a small outline in the dim light, otherwise they would have been clearly visible.

Emerald Rain

Emerald Rain snarled quietly, eyeing the humans and Shadow. He had no wolf in him; he was a mixture of three dog breeds; Siberian Laika, Portuguese Watchdog, and Wirehaired Vizsla. His coat was long and fawn-colored with black traces of fur about his muzzle and tail. He was once a submissive, placid beast. But relentless punishment and torture at the hands of humans left him so mental scarred that he was terribly aggressive now when provoked by fear. He stood alert and watching, wondering what would happen next. Fear began to build up.

Shadow

The she wolf looked at the other. She meant no threat, she didnt know why she was here exactly.

*Humans*

The humans were angry that the two weren't fighting yet. They began to shake the fences violently, cursing and yelling at the canines. The noise grew to a roaring tone as more people arrived to watch the fight.

Shadow

The black lupine turned, and snarled at the humans. Her eyes looked as if there was no pupil.

Emerald Rain

Emerald Rain snarled deeper, fear whelling up in him again. The noise grew too much and the fear of being beaten tormented him, making dangerously defensive. He heard a snarl and a tingle went down his spine. Hardly knowing what he was doing at first, the tawny dog flung himself at Shadow, his jaws scything down towards her turned neck. Emerald Rain wasn't acting out of anger towards her, but the snarl and noises turned him to act blindly on his sense of fear. And her snarl meant that she could be one that might harm him.

Shadow

She flung her head around, her amber eyes turned an amazing yellow. She bore her white teeth, and pinned her ears. She was easily larger than this other male. She leapt, and made herself go under him, and she gave a buck that sent him to the ground. She leapt around and bore herself over him, and lightly grabbed his neck, a mere warning of what she could do to him.
