*Humans*
A car puttered up to the house and idled in the driveway until the garage door had opened. Nonchalauntly, the car rumbled into the safety of darkness as the motor died down. Once the garage door had come close again and veiled the scene from the prying eyes of passerbys, two men got out of the car and opened one of the backdoors. A large crate was jammed back there, holding what they were sure was a promising new fighter. Rocky Road.
The tugged and toiled to get the crate and its large occupant out, and then carried him into the house and down into the basement. Along the way, they were aided by other people in case Rocky Road was to thrash about and put up a fight. They pushed his cage up against the door of a fenced in corner of the basement. This was the Pit.
The opened his crate then, allowing him to exit into the Pit. And as soon as he would exit, they'd close the door to the Pit. There were many people croweded about, wanting to take a look at this new arrival. The other contestant was yet to arrive.
Rocky Road
Once again he found himself in a crate, though larger then the last, it was still a crate. A cruel contraption in his eyes, not only did it confine him, but it also did not allow him at the humans, something he most dearly wanted to put his fangs into right about now.
Light shown in on him as the van doors opened, showing him the smiling faces of his captors. He knew the smiles meant him no good, they wanted to see blood tonight, and he will give to him, though he hoped he would get more then canine flesh...
He would laugh at the men's troubles of getting him around, besides the fact he was the one they were tossing around. He growled and thrased around, just helping them have more burdens. He could not fight much, but he did what he could. He smashed against the crate, snapping, growling and just making as much trouble as he possibly could.
His crate dropped with an uncomfortbale bump and he growled in protest. Soon the door was opened to the Pit. Though he knew what he would find out there, no new news to him, he came out anyway. He was all fur as he did, joping around the arena he was given.
His shaggy, wolf-like (though St. Bernard coloring) coat bristled to enhance his already large size. His white fans were also large, shown now with all their glory in his well practiced snarl. His vocals were a bit strange, though meancing enough, the mixture of the howling wolf and deep baying St Bernard sound once again only enhanced the fringhtening appeal he strived for.
The crowd only excited him more, he lunged at all walls, hoping for a reaction from the two leggers. After many laps of his wild frenzy, he stopped in the middle of the arena. Who was his victim? A willing pit? Angry wolf? Cowering human pet? Saliva began to form around his teeth, hungry for blood.
*Humans & Raccoon*
The next 'fighter' to be brought it was more of bait for Rocky Road so the human could see just how strong his fighting drive was. Here was a creature that people would catch and test on their dogs for practice fighting. A raccoon.
Carrying the frightened, growling animal towards the pen, they opened a gate and shook him out. He plopped to the ground and wheeled around savagely, snapping at the air. But the humans had quickly closed the gate, leaving no escape. The animal turned towards Rocky Road with wide, beady eyes and a growl in his throat.
To confused and upset to say anything, the raccoon hunched down where he was and growled. He was a large boar and could inflict serious damage, but he was still only a fraction of Rocky Road's size. The crowed laughed and cheered. Some shook the fencing in anticipation, wanting to see them fight.
Rocky Road
Rocky Road paced his half of the small arena, also excited in anticipation for the fight. He snapped at any human that was dumb enough to come too close to the fencing. He was large enough to easily rest his paws on the top of the fence, but he wasn’t planning to jump out. He wanted to fight. It has been too long that he has been deprived from canine flesh. That is exactly the reason the next movement from the humans confused him.
The small crate came into view; a pit bull was his first thought. But instead a ball of hair fell out of the crate. It took him a moment to realize what it was. And to make a long story short, he was shocked. In the last pit he was at, the men never hesitated to stick a full grown wolf, or even two on one occasion, into the arena with him. They even thought of putting a half grown wild cat in there too! And here was now, put up against a raccoon?!
If he was a human his mouth would have dropped open, but instead his growling just subsided to a low hum in the background. He gave a look to the two leggers, what were they thinking? He was a killer, not a pup! His growling returned at a rather rude fence shake, and his attention back on the growling thing of fur and teeth. He knew what damage a raccoon could do, and he planned not to let the thing do that to him.
He stood still in front of the thing, glaring down at it even with his throat safely protected. Suddenly he dashed to the right of it, with enough speed and vigor to convince it that he was coming from that side. But then before he was in range with the teeth, with amazing agile with his size, he switched to dashing at the other side. He continued this for as long as it took to get a free opening. Dashing at every side he could think of, moving away just before the point the raccoon could reach him with a claw or tooth.
*Humans & Raccoon*
The raccoon sprung at Rocky Road as an excited roar from the crowd went up. But the furious, terrified mammal aimed wrong because his opponent had suddenly veered the other way. There was a sharp clank of teeth as his jaws snapped together against nothing but air. The masked creature whirled around, trying to make up for his error and meet Rocky Road with his fangs...
White light flooded the yellow glow of overhead bulbs suddenly as the basement door was opened. The pure light faded out as the door was closed again, leaving two new man climbing down the stairs with a dog on a chain.
They stopped infront of the pit and the dog barked and whined in eagerness, knowing what he was here for. His ears were pointed up and tapered at the end; they were cropped. His chest was very wide and low to the ground. Huge jaw bones framed his bulky face, and a very well muscled, short neck followed that. He had traced of pit terrior in him, as well as a newer breed known as the Canis Panther. His coat was sleek ebony with a bluish hue in the artificial lighting. Already, there were scars covering his frame.
Rocky Road
The beast snarled and lunged again, hoping the raccoon's frantic want to correct his mistake result in him making another. He rose as high as he could while still protecting his neck, trying to bait the raccoon to leap up. And if and exactly when he did, Rocky Road dropped his upper half of his body, fangs going under the smaller's and then up again. The target wasn't quite specified, a throat hold would be nice and easy, though he may be able to get the same result if he were to grab the raccoon's slim head.
A door banged open, and he was momentarily distracted, just long enough to get a glimpse of the dog. That is more like it was all he was able to think before he carried on his attack, now trying to use his body weight to overpower the thing. He hoped the raccoon was distracted as he was, making the move much more desirable and ideal.
Though his fangs still worked at their target, his paws came into action as well. They worked and strived to get the raccoon's attention off his fangs, trying to trip him up, throwing him up in the air in some cases. Anything to make this fight shorter so he could get to the real one...
*Raccoon*
The raccoon let out a snarling-squealing cry as fangs set into his throat. Instantly, his own canines were driven for anywhere they could go on Rocky Road's muzzle. Then he was thrown up, clawing and snapping, raging out noises of pain and anger. He landed to the ground with a thud, splattering his own blood on the ground from his wounded neck. He rushed at Rocky Road now and tried to sink his fangs into the hybrid's leg. This would make an easy hit on his neck for Rocky Road.
Rocky Road
Rocky Road grimaced when small fangs snapped at his cheek, shaking his head before letting his jaws loose. He backed up and watched the raccoon fly in his own work, folling it with his cold eyes as he gravity took over him.
He sneered when the blood splattered, knowing the end was near for the creature. His growling increased when the thing charged him, but did not back down. At the last possible moment he bounded over the raccoon's head, turning himself with the jump so he landed facing the same way as te little beast. He wasted no time before he went for what he was sure to be the ending blow. His jaws searched out the furry neck again, though the back now. Jaws dug in and locked as soon as they met flesh, his head raising and shaking the beast as hard as he could in the air. If the beast still moved under his overwhelming jaw power he would shake its body again, hitting it ruthlussly against fences and reddened floors.
Raccoon*Humans*Pit
The wolf caught the back of its neck, and it flailed frantically, scratching at the air as the wolf flung it about. The wrenching motion finally overcame it ,however, and its neck broke with a snap and more spurts of blood, and it lay limp in the jaws of the wolf.
The humans round the pit cheered in victory, the winners collecting the money as those who had been stupid or drunk enough to bet on the raccoon shelled it out. Many shook the walls of the pit in excitement and blood lust, and bets were placed on the next fight as the pit was led forward, whimpering and tugging on it's chain in it's eagerness to get to the pit.
Rocky Road
The Saint Bernard Wolf mix stood still as the cheering surrounded him, limp beast hanging from his jaws. He knew that they were for him, but it never pleased him. They never pleased him, already his mind was changing back to how it was. All he wanted was blood, to kill.
He ignored the humans completely, they were distracting anyway, as the next victim came into view. He was used to fighting many right after another, his strength will stay with him. He quickly surveyed the opponent, its possible weak points, its strengths, and anything else he could think of.
He threw the mangled and red body away from him with a quick twist of his head. His body was hardly scarred by the pitiful creature, a little bit of dried blood was the only thing that showed he had a battle at all. He paced his half of the arena, growling softly and giving the approaching humans a meancing glare. He was ready for the pit, and all he could throw at him.
Rebellion
Large wolf leapt over the wire fence and into the pit. Over-grown canines dripped with saliva as he bared them at his apponent. Bristeling and ears drawn back, the onyx glared menicangly at Rocky Road. His tail raised and stiffened in sign of dominance, Rebellion's mind focusing on ripping this wolf apart.
Humans*Pit
The humans leapt back in surprise as the wolf leapt into the pit scattering in different directions for a moment. when they saw the insuing fight, however, they resumed their places, placing new bets and raising them high on the impending fight.
The pit growled and barked in frustration. His chance to fight had been taken! He leapt to get into it, but the rope lead jerked him back and he could only yip and bark until the humans might set him free.
Rocky Road
The turn on play suprised him, but he did stay in shock for long. He noted his dominance stance and raised to the challenge. Did he demand to be more dominant? Not really, but he defiently did NOT show any submissive signs. His long bristled on almost every body part, blood still dripping from his fangs because of his last fight. He ignored the pit, he would probably fight him soon or later.
His face twisted into a deadly snarl, growling getting louder with anticipation. This could be a great fight... The massive mix stood in one place, head low over his throat, eyes never leaving the other, and muscles ready to spring at any opening.
Rebellion
Massive brute snarled, ears drawn back, his body now bristeling more than ever. But he knew his stuff when fighting. Onyx lowered himself, teeth bared.
Rocky Road
This was going no where, Rocky Road wanted to kill now. In a sudden and quick movement, he charged a less protected side. At the last possible moment before one could reach him with ivories (even with a lunge of his own) the mix skillfully fiented out of the attack, now to the back of the beast. In the same moment he lunged for the beast's hindquarter's, though he was not looking for a hold quite yet. He fiented again just before fangs could close on him, doing the same thing again on the opposite side. Again, a skillful arrangement of motions moved him away to safety.
He now stood back in his intial position, head low and body loose for an attack. His previous movements were quick, there only to keep his opponent on his feet, and possible make him give an open target.
He too 'knew his stuff' in the pit rings. Kill or be killed, quick is better then long, keep the audience happy, and other advice he found. Born and raised in a far away pit he knew almost every trick, and this pit seemed to be much the same. He would overcome and overpower ever victim thrown at him, he would surive.
Rebellion
Onyx snarled and ignored the pathetic little attacks. Paws moving slow and steadily, the brute circled the other.
Rocky Road
Rocky Road moved with the other, matching his pace and making sure he never had an open target. He snarled and growled, but he wouldn't attack again until he had a better opening.
He could hear the crowd get restless, they wanted action, not circling beasts. Another growl was amitted. He never was one to do everything to please the crowd, but he was getting bored as well, why wouldn't he attack?
Humans*Pit
The crowd was shaking the fencing, growing restless and tired of watching the two circle. Finally, the man with the pit strode forward, un-leashing the dog and dumping it unceremoniously into the Pit.
The pit was confused at its sudden drop, but picked itself up quickly and launched itself at Rocky Road, snapping at anything it could reach, hoping to get a lock on something.
Rocky Road
Rocky was probably as confused as the pit, he did not expect two oppenants quite yet. But he quickly repoised himself, and was just able to ready himself for the pit's launch. He growled and opened his mouth wide, slipping his body out of the way of his launch. He felt white fangs closing in one his already bruised ear, but his it was not meant to be held. Being close to the edge of his ear, and the fact he shook his head slightly in reflew, the ear shredded just enough for the bite to be unsucessful at getting a hold, though he was now decorated with new blood.
Enraged he was not the first to draw blood, Rocky Road's mouth opened wide and he reared slightly, hoping to get a hold on his spinal cord, back of his neck, or anything actually. If any contact was made, his jaws instantly dug as far as they could then locked and held its place.
Pit
Feeling the blood in its mouth, the pit got excited, but not fool enough to fall for so basic an attack. He was a favorite among the humans, and had fought well many times. The wolf's claws grazed his side, but he recovered quickly and launched himself into another attack, this time feinting toward the front and then bringing himself around behind Rocky Road quickly to snap at anything he could reach.
Rocky Road
Rocky Road recovered quickly from his sudden red rage, being able to think clearly again. He watched the put's moves carefully and saw exactly what was coming, for he used the attack very often and mastered doing it as well as seeing it coming.
He ignored his front half completely and twisted around to meet him when he came, ducking his hindquarters out of the reach of the pit. In the same movement before the pit could start snapping he lunged under and forward with his jaws wide, hoping it get chest or throat, it didn't matter much to him. He was still aware of the other beast in with them, and kept an ear out and eye out for him, but that didn't stop him from trying his best to overcome the other.
Rocky Road knew the tactic of planning ahead as well, if no strong hold was made against his foe, he was ready for another planned out attack...
Rebellion
Rebellion smirked at the two. Snarling, he sprang forward at the pitbull, teeth gnashing and claws tearing.
Pit*Humans
The first wolf caught his chest, but he managed to pull back in time to recieve only a painful, but not deadly, set of bites all across his chest. However, as he pulled back, he moved slightly out of the second wolve's range, and the other wolf missed. He was beginning to fear for his own life a little now. The wolves were ganging up on him.He ducked his head, not allowing another attack on the life-vein, and waited for their next move.
The humans were cheering and raising bets and were in an all out frenzy.
Rebellion
Rebellion snarled and hurtled up the fence, gnashing at a human's leg. He landed back down and saw the Pit. He pitied him. Teeth bared, the rebel sprinted at Rocky, eyes flashing with menace.
Rocky Road
The massive hybrid leaned backward and out of the way of the wolf's tackle, growling and making all sorts of angry noises. He saw the pit take a step back, worried of us ganging up on him. We realized he could leave him alone for a minute, concentrating on the now charging wolf.
Instead of dodging or running away Rocky Road raised to the challenge, looking as if he would meet him half way. But at the last possible moment the hybrid swept underneath the wolf, snapping at side, belly, and whatever else would show up in his mouth. Any hold on his belly or another vital place would be kept, his jaws locking in less then an instant.
Rebellion
The demon ignored as his flesh was torn and leapt. He rolled on the ground and leapt up. SNarling, the male arched his back, teeth bared. He backed up and then charged. The male snapped at his apponent's throat, ready to lock his jaws and pin him down.
Rocky Road
Rocky Road followed the wolf's movements, leaping as he did. When he rolled the hybrid wasn't going to let him get y will such an opening. He leapt on top of him, bitting at throat, belly, chest, legs, whatever. He leapt up again as the wolf did, getting some distance between him and his two opponents. He faced them with loose and ready muscles, teeth bared, hair and tail raised, and head low over his throat.
The wolf charged again and saw the attack to his throat, but it was in vain. Teeth gnashed close to where the raccoon was able to find hold, adding yet another wound to his face. He growled and snapped at his face, hoping to return the favor. He quickly moved in, both pushing against him and snapping at the back of his neck. He realized at once it would be hard for either to pin eachother. Rocky was a massive hybrid as well as the pit was large, both with enough strength to overcome the other, making the tactic of overcoming eachother worthless.
Fangs continued to try to find a hold on his neck area, back or front, any hold would be held.
Rebellio
*Rebellion swallowed the yelp as the other brute tore a chunk of flesh from his back. The brute leapt back and lowered himself to the ground, eyes focused on the hunter.
Rocky Road
Rocky Road held a delighted smile as he felt the fresh blood in his mouth, but did not chase after the wolf. The pit has been to quiet and he backed up so he could see all. The next move wasn't going to be made by him
The massive hybrid snarled and growled a bit wuieter then before now, saliva and blood covering his angry face. His body was held low in an excellant fighting stance, legs loose and throat protected. What was next?
Rebellion
*Rebellion stood still, bristeling furiously. He bared his teeth and snarled, tail flicking.
Pit
Regaining his courage after watching the other two circle for a bit, he launched himself out of nowhere at Rebellion. His aim for upper front legs was a little off, but if he caught anything his canines would tear it regardless.
Rocky Road
Rocky moved at the same time as the pit, launching to get a good hold on his tail, back legs, or anywhere else on his hindquarters. If no hold was made, he would just just biting anything he could, keeping his jugalur protected at all times.
But if the hold was made, his jaws dug in as deep as they could and locked. Paws then would screech to a halt, trying to drag the pit along with him. After he had stopped the pit he would pull him around, trying to confuse him as well as overwhelm him.
Rebellion
*Rebellion snarled and whirled round. The pit's teeth scraped off a small tuft of fur, and it was ignored. The demon snarled again and whirled at the pit, teeth bared, ready to tear the unfortunate soul apart.
Pit*Humans
The pit was not a favorite for nothing, and the wolve's attack was no more effective than his own had been: it had removed a bit of fur by the roots, but nothing more.
The humans were getting more and more exciting, drinking liberally and raising their bets to ridiculous heights. Soon they would be too drunk to remember to collect.
Rebellion
The male was getting bored. nothing extreme was happening. Rebellion yawned and planted himself beside the wall, ears drawn back. He was still ready as can be, though, for any unexpected attacks.
Rocky Road
The massive beast looked towards the crowds, seeing them getting them more and more drunk. He growled silently, fights with humans near by in this state never ended in favor to him.
He saw rebellion in his over confident state and smirked, this fight was going no where. All of the beasts in this arena thought themself, or was, the master at fighting, dodging almost all attacks, no strong holds were made. Rocky backed into a protected corner and laid down, tongue sticking out in a pant. Hackles were lowered and he moved into a completly relaxed position, not even growling anymore. He looked out to the crowd of people, a smile appearing on his hard face as if he was enjoying their presence.
Pit*Humans*Gang
Seeing that the others had no intention of attacking, he too lay down, panting a little from being ganged up on. He smiled a little, amused. This was the oddest fight he'd ever been in.
The humans wer howling and drunk, but when the dogs stopped fighting they began to get irritable. They began throwing things into the Pit, beer cans and the like. Of course they missed the dogs completely because they were drunk.
As the gathered humans attempted to get the dogs fighting again, an opposing gang burst through the door, attacking anyone in sight. The drunk men's reactions were slowed, but several fist fights broke out. One very drunk fellow got a good uppercut to the chin, and was sent flying into the pit wall, making on section collapse. The door at the top of the stairs was still open, so all the wolves had to do to escape would be to wind their way through the feet and get out the door.
Rocky Road
Rocky instantly jumped up, watching the fights break out all over the pit. He growled and snarled, barking as loud as he could to the men. He got himself so exitable, when the men fell he jumped back in alarm and just stood there for a while, barking at the man.
Realizing there was a free way out, he dashed forward, leaping over the fallen man. Fangs punished any that came in his way-intentionally or not. He zig-zagged around the men's legs, teeth red with blood.
The door was near, he was going to be free....again.
*Human*
Rocky Road's owner saw his prized fighter fleeing. With a shout, he sprung at the hybrid out of desperation and locked his hands around one of Rocky's hind legs. Struggling to hold on, he began to pick himself up from the fall...
Rocky Road
He was only half way to the open door when his progress came to a halt. His first thought when he felt something enclosing his leg was one of the dogs decided to come after him. And becuase he thought such a thing as this, he immediantly sent his body up and down so he could slam and also snap at the muzzle he thought to be there. But the next instant he felt the fingers grasp him, not teeth, and knew it at once to be the man that claimed him.
With anew burst of bloodlust he changed his course towards the man's throat. He ended up with an odd mixture of the two attacks. he had already pushed his front end up the air while twisting his hips and legs (the grasped leg as much as he could) to face the attacker. But then the change of plans just brought his muzzle towards the man's face, instead of his hands.
Attack was a bit wild, so it could of completely missed his target, maybe even ending up getting his hands afterall. But anything grabbed was held in his iron grip jaws.
*Humans*
The man gave a squawk of a cry as he pulled back, getting the very end of his protruding nose caught by his fighter's jaws. Realizing how foolish it was for him to be taking on Rocky Road by himself without any weapons, the man attempted to scramble up to his feet and reach for a nearby hammer... rivulets of crimson blood streamed down his face where he was missing part of his nose.
Another man quickly sprang for Rocky Road, swinging a small pipe at the canine's muzzle..
Rocky Road
Rocky's pick tongue snaked out, brushing against his cimson teeth. Odd, he always imagined human blood to be sweeter.
He didn't stay there long, as soon as the human turned, Rocky jumped at him maw open wide. He was aiming for his head/neck area, but at this point, any area would due for the enraged killer. His powerful jaw locked on any hold he made, digging as deep as he could and the position would allow, and then with a pitbull's patience (a tactic he learned from his first fight with one) moved towards the throat of the man, shaking hsi great head anytime the man tried to escape
well, that was his plan anyhow, he wasn't quite sure how long in it he got. With such a large fight going on in the pit, it was difficult to see who was going after who, and he wrongly assumed everyone was going for everyone else (except hsi slavedriver) and meant no danger for him yet. But the next moments of pain proved him wrong.
The pipe came down hard on his already crimsoned face, forcing Rocky to let go any hold he had in a gasp of air. He shoot backwards, shaking his trobbing muzzle, then head. He knew a nasty bruise was going to be there, as fresh crimson begin flowing from the immiedate spot of contact.
Though head was still throbbing, he eyed his slavedrivers again, growling measncing, but waiting for their approach.
1 to 1, the fight wasn't going to stay even for long.
*Humans*
The man had reacted to panicky and wasn't being defensive enough as his years of handling vicious dogs bayed him to be. Just as he reached his hand out for the tool, Rocky Road's jaws clamped about the side of his neck as the man's body had turned. The sudden weight and the precarious place it was latched brought the man to the ground very quickly. The fangs of the attacker drove deep and tore a few of several vital bloodways in the neck. Another cry was issued as the man sprang back when Rocky Road released. Crimson spewed from his wounded flesh, staining his grappling hands as they tried in vain to staunch to flow. The man wavered and fell to the ground, still clutching at his torn neck. It wouldn't be long until he was dead.
The other man was half crouched with bent knees and a solid grip on his weapon. Holding the bar crossways, he advanced on Rocky Road with a face twisted in wild anger and loathing. Unlike the crippled owner of Rocky Road, this man kept his wits. He was a force to be reckoned with. The man advanced in a way, trying to herd the canine more towards a corner.
Upon giving a cry for help, another man scrambled about for a weapon to aid the battle...
Rocky Road
Pleased that his first attack was a good one, he ignored him enough to have most of his wits about the advancing man. His head still throbbed, but he was used to pain, he could fight even with it strong. He studied the man before him quickly, his stance was good he had to admit.
Watching the bar with a wrathful look he began snarling and barking as loud as he could, spit fling off his face and his roars filling the entire pit. He was hoping the pit was in to the fight to was having enough that not much would come after him, but instead make his oppenent at least flinch. His face was screwed up in a wrathful look, almost mad. His fur bristled even to the hairs on his face to enhance his already awesome size.
But despite this, he backed very slowly, he needed an opening. He knew the plan of the man, it was done to him many a time. He backed in a way he was close to some quarreling men, and backed out behind them, dissappearing through the mesh of men. His once clear way to the door was blocked, he had to fight. And figth I will, with pleasure.
He ran on the other side of the men, his snarls quiet now. He lunged at the man face, but backed out at the last possible moment and dashed for a hold on a leg. He knew the other man was coming, but he had to wait, for now, his teeth was looking for any hold on the man.
*Humans*
The man swung the bar down with all his might, creating a swoosh through the disturbed air but making no contact with Rocky's body, as the hybrid had dodged out of the way. A moment later a painful cry escaped the man. Not dallying in his counter movements, the bar had been brought up already and now came crashing down for Rocky Road's head...
The other man came running over now, weilding a hammer that the owner had attempted to take up before being felled. Seeing the other man being attacked, this guy panicked and hurled his heavy weapon at Rocky's side. Despite his sudden decision, the man was close enough for a good aim.
Rocky Road
Rocky’s jaws sunk in as deep as they could as soon as they made contact with the fleshly, human leg. He shook his head, hoping to trip the man up, with the hold he had. He knew the crowbar was coming and tore his body away from the man, only loosening his hold slightly; a torn leg would be to his advantage. But some unfortunate events soon followed, that’s the negative on fighting multiple humans that went to other means other then themselves to fight, such as hammers, for an example.
The bar had only gazed his head, resting relatively softly on the hybrid’s nose, but even that was enough to make a small trickle of blood escape his nostrils. That wasn’t what he was worried about. Half-way through escaping the bar attack, he began to realize how close the other man was, which was now wielding his slave driver’s hammer. He checked to check his course to escape its course, but in vain. The iron side of the hammer hit his side with a dull thud and clashed against the floor. Despite himself he yelped in pain as it did so, dropping his hind end so it was easier to swing behind him as he backed up to a now what seemed to be a comforting wall. His side was sure to be bruised, badly. But no broken bones would come out of that, he was able to check his course just enough so the hammer hit the fleshly part behind his ribs, but already the spot was filling up with blood. Now blood in numerous places on his face and side, and still snarling with the best of him, he would be very intimidating if the humans didn’t think they were winning.
He did not hide with his wall for long. It seemed as soon as he touched he had a realization, the man had no weapon. Dodging around the bar man in a full gallop (though with a slight limp of one of his hind legs), he leaped for the other. Stomach, chest, throat, face, whatever he could get in his mouth was there and no holds were made. Just grab, rip, and go on.
*Humans*
The man shrunk back, throwing his arms in an 'x' across his vulnerable throat and face. One of his arms was laid open by the fangs, sending a trickling of crimson liquid. He scrambled back and did his best to sheild his vulnerables while letting his forearms take the damage.
The other man moved quickly, stumbling once with his damaged limb. But before reaching the man being attacked, he retrieved a thick cord and made a loop out of it that would tighten like a slip knot. Holding the looped, metal-enforced cord with one hand and the ready bar in the other, the man approached Rocky Road intently. Trying to catch him off guard, he attempted to slip the cord around his muzzle or throat. All the while, he cro bar was held ready to weild against dangerous fangs.
Rocky Road
Rocky's voice doubled as he realized he had the advantage in this one, putting more vigor in his thrusts. His arm opened in front of him and he continued attacking. Pity he was smart enough to protect his thought, he so wanted to open him up as he did his slavedriver.
Someone in the crowd was thrown aginst the door, teh sound echoing off the basement walls. Mouth still open in a bloody mess head raised instantly to his only escape. The door did not close, but much thinner then before. With a desperate lunge he intending to rave towards the door, ignoring the one he was tearing thru just moments before.
But suddenly air did not come easily, the cord got around his throat and tighened immidently. He gagged slightly, but automatically turned back to his attackers. He lunged for the one closet to him, then attacked the cord bearer, his attacks wild and fierce with wrathful hate.
*Humans*
The man being attacked first cried out, stumbling and falling to the ground under the onslaught. But thankfully for him, the other human came in time and Rocky Road had turned his attentions towards escape.
The man with the cord jerked back harshly, doing his best to tighten the cord to a degree where it would badly choke the hybrid. His dark, narrowed eyes judged Rocky's every movement and his face was a twisted, scowling, expression. When Rocky lunged, the bar was swung out with great precision, anticipating the attack. The metal would strike the hybrid across the head with a numbing blow if it hit...
Rocky Road
Rocky Road gagged again when the cord was jerked, breathe came in irregularly, raspy and rough as well. Thick fur kept the cord going too tight, but it did get tight enough to cause breathing to be a burden. He lunged only because he was desperate and could not believe he was caught again so fast. The bar came straight at his head, heading him primary on his ear. He landed to the side, shaking his head as he rose. Blood appeared from insides his ear, head thuming with the added pain. He growled angerily, trying agian to lunge at the human with no weapon, only to meet the end of the line.
He reared up in a barking havoc, but with the weight he was putting on the cord it slipped a bit more and his barking came to a short stop. He backed up slightly to lessen the pain, glaring at the human which held him. He wasn't stupid enough to lunge at him again. He stood there heaving with effort to get enough air to his muscles, his eyes drawn to the injured leg of his possibly new slavedriver. If only he could trip him...
Though he stood quietly, besides his random raspy, growling and labored breathe, he watched his oppenents closely, looking for an opening if any came.
*Humans*
The man with the bloodied arm shrank back again, shivering fearfully as Rocky lunged. But when now fangs befelled his flesh, he timidly moved his arms away and peered up at the hybrid and the man who now held claim to him, for the moment at least. The other man stared down, breathing roughly but in control. He muttered some words to the bitten guy and glanced back to the now dead previous owner of Rocky. The man's teeth clenched and his expression now showed frustration. While his eyes remained on Rocky, he spoke outloud to the others, "Take him to the woods or somewhere... call the cops then and tell them he was attacked by wolves while hunting. So were you. Someone clean up the blood. I'll be back later." The man swallowed hard, trying not to think about the dead man nearby. "Well, you're a smart one." he comment, speaking to Rocky Road. Some dogs he trained just kept attacking until they were beaten to death. He also noted how the hybrid was looking at his leg. "You're mine now, and you better learn who boss pretty fast."
The man's sharp eyes glared at Rocky for a moment before he tugged harshly at the cord, trying to urge Rocky to follow him outside. Knowing a little about Rocky from what others noted, the man was thinking out a new training method for him. He smirked at the thought and tugged the cord again. The cro-bar was held low and taunt, ready to be swung if needed.
Rocky Road
Ears laid back flat against his thumping skull as the man spoke. His head would be swimming for a while, but he would live. He held his gaze, eyes flared with a wrathful hatred. Voice was then directed to him and he growled in a low, but thundering rumble. So it was true, he already had a new slavedriver.
Rocky did not move until his cord was jerked painfully, his growl grew louder as he did so but went back to its normal tone as he caustiosly walked as far away from the man as the cord would allow. His pace was steady and slightly slow, his mind was also working. He was caught for now but he would be taken advantage of. As they walked he trailed behind him guadurally so he would not notice. This almost gave him the impression that he was leading to wherever they were going. And maybe an oppurnity for an attack later. He knew the man was limping, maybe he could pull it off. But then again, so was he. Only if humans took a page from the animals' world and learned how to use their own bodies for battle. They were corwards, no matter how hard they tried not to be, hiding behind there bar or hammer. But as soon as he can get past that barrier, they all turned out to be as the one he nearly teared the arm off. Cowering and flinching little fools. They had no idea what they were up against.
*Human*
The man led his new fighter to a truck outside with a covered trailer on the bed. His head was turned to the side slightly so he always had Rocky at the side of his vision, never letting his guard down because he knew just how crafty a creature his was. Now was a slightly tricky part... getting Rocky into the trailer while still having control of him and, most importantly, not getting bit.
The man gave a furtive glance about, making sure no one was looking. Then opened one of the doors on the truck and slung part of the cord over. He kept the cord taunt still as he worked, which was easy when Rocky was trying to keep his distance as well. Placing himself on the opposite side of the door, so that it was between him and Rocky, the man yanked the cord back with all his might, using the door as a leverage and trying to pull Rocky against it. He was trying to pull Rocky against it hard enough so that he'd be choking and pinned against the door.
It would have been easier for the man to throw the cord over some tree branch and pull Rocky Road up like a piñata, but the man doubted his strength against the fighter. And plus, it would look very bad if someone drove by and saw that... The man's goal was to get Rocky to pass out, or at least get him pinned enough against the door where he could slip a muzzle on. He certainly didn't want an hybrid raging around the back of the truck while he was driving. And he wanted less to catch such a beast when he arrived at the Labs to have his chip and other things put in.
Rocky Road
Rocky threw the idea of attacking him aside for now; he was too on his edge. And he should be too... Eyes kept watching his injured leg though, trying to figure out the most painful and quickest way he could tear it off.
They reached the truck and he looked almost curiously at the human, now how was he going to get him there? He caught the glance around and knew the way her was going in was not going to be pleasant for him. He began barking as loud and as fretfully as he could, if someone was nearby they would hear him. He knew the man wanted to do his dirty work without being noticed, but if someone came... well things would be different.
He continued barking as he watched the man work with the door. Suddenly the man jerked and he made a choking noise, his barks turned into an almost inaudible rumble. He tried resisting; he did not want to come to the door. But slowly he slid to the door, though not exactly pinned. The beast was much too heavy for a man such as this to do that. His growling soon stopped as his air was cutting short. Against the added help from the door the cord moved past his air, constricting his throat to a much smaller model. His mouth opened and tongue rolled out in a desperate pant in effort to get air.
He was a strong model and passing out was going to take a much longer time then another; at least it would if he carried on what he was doing. But then again, that would risk having someone walk by. And pinning was not going to work; with the remaining strength he had he was preventing that. In a sitting position his pas were held rigid and straight against the car door, keeping him at least his leg's length away from it. But if he stopped about a half second from now he would be weak enough not to give him much trouble, though it may take a couple more minutes to make him pass out in the current situation.
Eyes showed with hatred, fur was raised, and body shook with anger, the last things he could do at this point. Barking and growling was out of the question as well as moving much. But only if he got another breathe of air...
*Human*
The man waited a moment longer, cursing softly under his breath at Rocky Road's vocal protest. His gaze flirted anxiously about all the while as perspiration beaded on his forehead. While there were a few cops that were a tad corrupt in this town and would 'look the other way' at such things with a bit of money, others were loyal to their duties. And others were loyal as well to their good morals.
The man fretted for a moment longer, waiting until he was certain Rocky was subdued somewhat. He created a slip knot at the other end. Now he cautiously inched his way up the cord, moving towards the door while pulling the cord taunt the whole way. Once reaching the door and Rocky, the man made a swift movement. Pulling hard against the cord with one hand, he fumbled for the free end of it where the new slip knot was and tried to slip it over Rocky's muzzle.
Rocky Road
Air was hard to get now, and eyes were beginning to roll back with the lack of it. His forelegs shook with effort to keep him away from the door, and his neck began to turn red from the cord. As the man came out of behind the door he gropped his paws into a down postion, almost in a panic mood. His cord was pulled again and he would of yipped if he had any breath. the only sound made was his skin and fur russling against itself as it was pulled closer to themselves. His head went upwards and he went limp, tired of trying to resist the choking. He saw the other loop coming and squirmed slightly, but in vain. The loop went over his head and the dog was cut off from his last defense.
*Human*
The man smirked coldly down at Rocky and tightened the loop and lashed it through the one around his neck, making it impossible to pull off. Moving quickly while Rocky Road was weakened from lack of oxygen, the man struggled to hoist him up into the bed of the truck, then shoved him in a crate. He made sure the loop around Rocky's neck was painfully tight, but now it was loosened enough so he could breath a bit easier. He didn't want his grand new fighter to have braindamage! With Rocky secure, the man climbed out of the bed and got into the driver's seat. The truck sputtered then roared to life. With a jerky shift of gears, the vehicle rolled out of the drive and headed down the road to end up at the Laboratory of the Nefaryous Labs.
Rocky Road
Eyes rolled back again in his skull, only the whites showing. He hardly noticed what the man was doing and went limp again. Pain went down his spine when the muzzle was tightened over the bloody bruise across the bridge of his nose, but he did not react. The man got him some how in the crate on top of the truck, he was after all giving him his dead weight. Rocky just kind of flopped down where he was laid, he was sure to get permenant damage soon. Suddenly air came back to him. He gasped loudly, bringing in as much air as he could at once. The effort brought him to a fit of coughing, as if he was choking on air. The fit passed shortly and Rocky liad still in his cramped crate as the truck began moving. He tried controlling his breathes and soon breathe was coming to him normally again. He did not know where he was going, but it sure didn't seem like any place that would be favorable to him.
