Timber & *Crows*

A large crow flew over the house and circled once before landing on the roof, near the gutter where the pets could see him. The rest of his flock landed nearby; some on the fence posts, trees, trash, and other objects. They all waited solemnly-like without any of their common jabbering.

Timber soon appeared, panting lightly from the run. He entered the yard and stopped halfway down the sidewalk that led to the front door. He waited nervously for the others to come.

Ivy

The young collie ran up next behind Timber. She looked around nervously, "I hope Nak is ok" she whispered...

Aidan

The pup followed after the others as he looked up at the run-down building. Padded over to Ivy, he questions her in a whispering voice, "So who's Nak? And those other two they are talking about?"

Ivy

Ivy looks over to Aidan and whisperes, "Nak and Stallis are our brothers...and Mesena was our sister. They disappeared and now where trying to find them..." She whispered back..

Shimmer

She darts in and sees the building. Without a word she circles it and then stops by the door again. "No way in... Mabey if one of us howled and the rest hid it would bring some attention." She sniffed the air trying to find Nak's scent.

Timber & *Crows*

Timber nodded and looked to Ivy and Aidan, "You two should hide; especially you Aidan." Since they were the youngest, Timber thought it would be best for them to hide so they be safer. The collie then looks to Shimmer, "Should I get their attention, or do you want to?"

The lead crow flew down to the pets then, "My flock can surely get the humans' attention. It would be easier for us to get away from them as well." he offered.

Aidan

Obidiently, the pup nosed about until he found a suitable hiding place; a broken crate near the house. He crawled inside and croutched down in the back of it, waiting until he might be told what to do. Aidan stuck his head out of the box and looked towards Ivy, "Pssst, there's room in here for you!" he whispered loudly to her, although there wasn't really any reason for him to be whispering. He was just being extra cautious, and, being a young pup, he was being a bit overly-dramatic about the situation.

Shimmer

She nodded. "TImber let the crows." She said when they offered. "Thanks." She yipped and then hid behind a few trash cans peeking threw a crack waiting for Timber.

becca

*padding in the female barked lightly to the crows.*"you could be annoying me at my broken paw and i could get their attention by barking loudly and sound like a good fighting dog since this seems the place they want them. i can run fast even with this paw. if anythiung happens i can fight."

Ivy

Ivy nodded and hid in the crate with Aiden, "I'm a bit nervouse she admitted....

Timber & *Crows*

Timber quickly ran behind the trash cans and crouchd down.

"Sounds good." the lead crow said. With a signal from him, his flcok began to caw and scream out noises. A few could initate human voices. And like Becca had suggested, many of the crows surrounded her, pretending to annoy the hybrid.

In the house, the up roar from the crows could be heard. If Becca started barking, someone would surely come up.

becca

*snarling and growling the hybrid snapped at the crows purposly missing. she danced around on her legs as if trying to land on the crows. she pretended that they were an annoyance.*

Timber, *Crows*, & *Humans*

The crows hopped about and fluttered just out of Becca's reach as they continued to act annoying. Although this was a serious task they were on, to retrieve Nak if they could, the crows were having fun as well.

It wasn't long before the angry yell of a man could be heard inside. Soon, the door was flun open and a disgruntled looking human stood there, glaring down at Becca and the crows. He saw instantly that she was a hybrid, and had scars. To him, this seemed like a perfect fighting dog. The man snatched up a metal chain and a club and began to walk towards her.

Timber stood up slightly, waiting for the man to walk past the trash cans where he was hiding. The door had been left open. The scent of Nak was faint, but it was there.

Shimmer

She saw the oppertunity to sneak past the man so she darted out from behind the trsh cans and darted into the house trying to follow Nak's faint scent though she was also cautious. She hoped the distraction would be kept for she didnt want to get trapped.

becca

*she noticed the man and snarled louldy. she barked to the crows* "go peck him really hard if you can get close enough to him to." *she snarled again and ran towards the man but feinted and quikly went back. she kept the attention on her instead of letting him know her siblings were going into the building to get nak. she went in again and grabbed his leg and pulled while heading back quiker then he could hit her. she ran in front of him going back and forth. but not infront of him to make sure he didn't notice the others going in .*

Ivy

The young female collie rushed out of the crate when she saw the door left open and Shimmer run in. She darted quickly inside and stayed close to Shimmer, whom was much bigger than herself...

Aidan

He also rushed inside, following Ivy. With his ears back and tail, down, he scampered after the two. He didn't know Nak's scent, but he figured it must be close to Shimmer and Timber's. He helped to search for their brother.

Timber, Nak, *Crows*, &*Humans*

From within the house, there came two desperate and pleading whimpers. It came from Nak and some young mix-breed pup who were in another room, but not not in cages. Instead, they had a leather band around their mouths and were tied to a stake in the room. The pup had numerous lacerations over his body and a broken rib. Nak had a broken front leg and bite wounds all over. Both of them were being used as 'bait' to train the other dogs to fight.

Timber snarled at the male and danced about on his fleet paws. He helped to keep his attention away.

The crows exploded into the air. Their cries suddenly turned from annoying to sharp and intent 'CA's'; that was their alarm cry. It wasn't long before crows from other flocks came over to see what was wrong. The now very large mob of ebony birds filled the yard and dove, pecking and biting at the man.

The man was overwhelmed by the situation, but with a high ego, he wouldn't back down. Becca seemed to be too fine of a fighter to let get away. He swung his bat and kicked out and both birds and dogs. One unfortunate crow took a glancing blow from the bat that snapped her wing. Fluttering heplessly on the ground, her cries furhter enraged the growing flock.

Shimmer

She was shocked. She ran over to Nak and chewed the leather band off his mother then did the sam with the pup. She tried biteing threw Naks leash first. "Dont worry. We came to save you." She then spoke to the pup. "Well help you to. Perhapes you could come live at the ranch." She said. Shed carry the pup back for the pup seemed weak. She hoped Ivy and Aidan could chew thre the pups leash and help with Nak's.

Ivy

She ran in and started to chew at the pup's leash with her sharp teath as fast as she could....

becca

*seeing him hit the bird and break her wing she alunched into anger and lunged her self again . this time at his swinging arm. her paw was aching from all this work but it would be worth it to get nak back.*

Aidan

Aidan began to chew through the leather too. He had seen many starving and torn up dogs on the streets before, so this wasn't something completely new to him. He felt terribly bad for them both though, even though he didn't know them.

Shimmer

Finnaly the leather on Nak's rope broke. She looked to Aidan and Ivy seeing they were doing good as well. She turns to Nak. "What happened?"

Ivy

She kept on chewing, finnally it broke with Aidan's help. She looked at the pup, "Don't worry, we'll help you" she whispered...

Timber, Nak, *Crows*, & *Human*

Timber sprung at the man's other arm and clamped down on it before leaping back once more. He continued to leap and dash about, slashing at the man.

The crows kept up their attack as well, but sooner or later, all this fighting might draw unwanted attention...

The human swung his bat around recklessly, trying to hit Becca still, but with little luck. Their fangs were taking a toll on him.

Nak wagged his tail faintly and stood shakily on his three legs, "A human caught me! Then... then they put me in this cage with other dogs that were much bigger and older and they fought with me!" he explained as tears welled up in his eyes, "There were alot of humans here not too long ago, but then they left."

becca

*she senced that nak was free and barked to call off the fighting. she would take one last attack. leaping towards the man after rushing from behind. she aimed to knock him over and make him hit his head to knock him out. she quikly went back and barked to shimmer and the others.*

Timber, Nak, *Crows*, *Humans*

The man stumbled forward and after a moment of waivering off-balance, he crashed forward. Timber was instantly at him, bringing his teeth down over the man's bat-weilding arm. He bit down on the wrist and tugged back, hoping to keep the man from swinging out. As soon as everyone was out of the house, he would flee.

The crows flew to nearby trees and different things around the property where they could perch and watch what went on.

Nak looked back at Ivy and Aidan, then to Shimmer, "Thanks for helping." he didn't know who Aidan was, but he didn't feel like waiting around to chat. He scampered out of the house as fast as he could with his injuries.

The dog was terrifide, but also said thanks. He followed after Nak, and waited fearfully outside for the others to come.

Ivy

She ran out as well, "Come on! Let's go home!" She barked...

Aidan

He followed closely after Ivy; he was very scared of the house and the humans. He waited nervously for Shimmer and the others to leave.

Shimmer

She nodded and darted out after. She stopped and picked up the female crow that had gotton hit in the wing. She was thankful to the crows so shed see if Martha could help the crow. She ran to the others waiting for Becca and Timber.

becca

*giving one last mocking growl to the human she nodded to shimmer and darted off. but she went to nak to help him go faster.*

Timber, Nak, & *Crows*

Timber looked back and saw everyone was out of the house. Giving a sharp bark, he sprinted out of the area and back to the Ranch.

Nak and the pup followed after, but at a much slower pace.

Most of the crows took off, besides the one Shimmer carried. The she-crow didn't object to being carried, although she flinched at the pain in her wing. Like the rest of her flock, she trusted the pets. Some of her flock members followed to make sure all was well.

The human was furious to say the least. But, as long as the others ran out of the yard, he couldn't hope to catch up to them.

Ivy

Sense she was bigger than the nameless pup, Ivy grabbed him by the scruff and carried him with her as she ran to the ranch...

Shimmer

She darted out after them makeing sure everyone was out befor she left.

Aidan

He left quickly, following behind Ivy.
