Esprit & Avril

Since Esprit's last find at the dump, and since running from their mother, she figured it wasn't all just luck and to come here again. This time, the white wolfess was also with her younger sister, Avril. Esprit was overly wary now, not only since running off with some brute and taking Avril with her, but also the fact that this was a human land. She didn't like those humans. They had harmed her family, and now Avril had a bullet hole through her fore leg.

Soon, the half-sisters trotted down a narrow alleyway surrounded by piles and heaps of trash. They could smell everything, from food to icky human appliances. Esprit, however, was the one to stop her sister and sniff at a large pile of human leftovers. She only managed to drag out a few slices of hame and lettuce, but she simply knew there was something more in there. So while she dug and pulled, Avril easily limped over to the food and sniffed it. This would be her first taste of human food.

Szeph

"Hi there" came a friendly bark. A white dog whith goggle ontop her head walked towards the other two.

"I'm Szeph"

She handed them a steak.

"found it in the street"

She smiled than sat down.

Esprit & Avril

Esprit continued to dig, but the other food was simply too far in. Sighing, but content with what she had just found, she turned to watch Avril munching on some of the ham. "It's, different." Avril spoke between bites, enjoying it greatly. The lettuce wasn't the best.

Esprit breathed a sigh of releif at that, and was about to turn to look some more when another canine suddenly appeared. Her dark brown eyes studdied the other cautiously. She wasn't trusting of dogs anymore, especially ones that wore such things upon their heads. That had to mean there was a human involved, though she had never been one to judge at first glance. Growling very lightly, she looked down at the food the dog had dropped. She figured it must be okay, but wouldn't take it just yet. Or at least eat it yet. She bit onto it gently and pulled it to her, still watching this dog with watchful eyes. "Thank... You." she spoke, wondering where this dog came from. "I am Esprit. Daughter of--" then she stopped. No need for that here. "This is my younger sister, Avril." she then finished, sighing deeply. "Why do you wish to help?" she asked afterwards, flicking her stringy wolven banner behind her. Human food certainly wasn't the healthiest thing out there, and it shown with how her coat had lost it's gleam.

Avril only sat there, finishing up the ham quickly to turn and watch this newcomer. She was a young adult, full grown with a healthy clean pelt. However, she didn't figure to be eating human leftovers all her life. Esprit had told her she would help assist her in this thing called 'hunting'. Yes, Avril barely knew a thing of what it really was.

Szeph

Szeph frowned this other wolf seemed to think she was just a dog, but no she was a hybrid, and the only reason she wore the goggles was because her mother had kept them to signify who she was in the pack, but now that bother Szeph's mother and pack were gone this was all she had left.

"because you are of my kind in a way and no one of my kind should have to be left with no help whatsoever"

She looked at the bullet hole in the smaller ones leg.

"where did that happen?"

Esprit & Avril

To Esprit, this canine looked nothing more than a dog. Sighing deeply, she simply gave her dial a brisk shake. "In a way? Just what are you?" she asked, narrowing an eye. No matter what, the thought of this canine being a dog wouldn't leave her. Nothing really changed in Esprit's mind anymore. Then sighing as the other asked about the bullet, she spoke once more, "She got it from a human." she stated emotionlessly.

Avril stared hard, listening to everything that was spoken. She could clearly remember that day when a human had shot her limb. She had actually been going to get her mother, but had crossed paths with the bullet that had been intended for just that, her mother.

Szeph

Szeph smiled "a hybrid" she stated plainly. She was a mix of a samoyed and a wolf.

Esprit & Avril

Esprit gave a strong grunt at the canine. Was being such a thing really something to smile about? It almost disgusted her, really. "Well, me and my sister should be moving on soon." she then stated, giving a yawn. She felt she was on the run all the time. A brute had offered her a place with his pack at the marsh, but then she had left to come here and look for food, bringing her sister along as well. She couldn't leave Avril back there by herself, no way. And now they would be forever running.

Avril stayed silent the entire time, but she wasn't at all shy. Just more on the quiet side. Sighing deeply, she sat up straight, her light brown eyes watching the happenings.

Szeph

Szeph sighed. "if you wish" she then turned and began to walk off her tail low and her ears drooping. why did this seem to happen in every one of her conversations?

Esprit & Avril

Esprit watched silently as the other fae turned to leave. What in the world? "I said soon, but if you want to leave then you most certainly can." she stated, her voice almost emotionless. So many things had aready happened to her, and she didn't want her little sister to experience the same. If you could really call her 'little' anymore. Esprit was ready to help her in any way she could, but there was simply too many things going on for her to clearly concentrate. Maybe that was the reason for her actions; that, and being in a human land.

Avril's auds pricked as the fae began to leave. However, there was nothing she could do about it.

Szeph

Szeph stopped. "where is it you're headed to?" she asked.

Esprit & Avril

Esprit's eyes were almost uncaring as the other spoke once more, and even tired-looking. Her life was rough. "Anywhere that will welcome us," she replied with a long sigh, thinking back to her mother. The wolfess might come after them... And who could know when the crazed canine might find them? "I have to get my sister a safe home." she then stated, eyes peering around with those words. Her sister would do well with a mate, and a pack. Avril was that kind of girl. Being with Aava would only harm that special quality.

Avril, no matter what the stories of her mother were about, couldn't help but feel a certain remorse for the hopeless Aava. But there she stood, tall and proud. Only the trained eye could see deep down, where the pain was stored away for no one to see.

Szeph

Szeph took a step towards them. She had heard of a place in the forest, where wolves and dogs could live in peace and roam freely, but there were archers that lived there they were friends with the animals... she decided to tell them "there is a place where you could stay until you are able to make a pack...it is in the forest," she looked at the others, waiting for their reaction before continueing.

Esprit & Avril

Esprit watched intently as the fae took a step closer, and her auds flickered. She listened to the hybrid's words, wondering what this place was that she was speaking of. But then a question crossed her mind. "All places are in a forest, how can this be different from just living in any land?" she asked, narrowing an eye. What was this hybrid getting at?

Avril's own auds twitched at the fae's words, mind full of curiousity. She was interested in listening to what the hybrid had to say, but then would it be a good place? Avril wasn't that intent on founding her own pack, though the two sisters were mostly doing this to 'hide' from their mother.
