Annie & Ireshk
Mother and son came to the Dump, each one rather thin and haggard looking. Ireshk was hardly an adolescent yet, and rather small for his age anyway. But his large paws and leggy limbs hinted at his adult form; if he survived to it.
Annie kept a lookout for humans as she and Ireshk hunted around for any bit of food they might be able to find.
Kong
Again he was on patrol, a thick, spiked collar about his throat to show other humans that he was ineed an owned canine; and a King Hound at that. Kong knew his boundaries as well; he had been taught as a youngster to stay near the human areas and return frequently to his master's home. The wild was a mostly forbidden place to him, unless he was accompanied by a hunting party of humans.
The massive brute, holding the weight of 240 pounds and a staggering 40 inches tall, came plodding across the dump. Above the putrid, rank stench of the area, he had caught one particular odor. Wolf. And it wasn't long before his dark eyes locked onto the targets; a mother and son; perfect! They looked thin, and one looked inexperienced.
Without a snarl, bark, or growl to announce his attack, Kong came charging across the ground, long limbs flying and head lowered. His first aim was Annie, hoping to take her around the neck, or bowl her over onto the ground if he missed.
The Assassines
Tavern- Toxic Reject
A large akita dashed in from out of no where. Her black and gray body was only a blur as she raced toward Kong from his right. She was very tall, 3'2" to her back, 38 inches, weighing 145 pounds pure muscle. In her eyes held death, gripped tightly in chains as she was ready to control what lived and what died. Although her cruel intelect was held fast in a beautiful body, Kong would only be able to glance at her before she was on top of him.
Darmus- Stockhold Syndrome
Right after Tavern had appeared, another dog came out of the dust. A pure white chow chow. His yellow eyes seemed to flare like shooting stars on his way down the garbage heap. He didn't move as fast as his counter part, but was still quick enough and large enough, standing 2'10" to his shoulders, 34 inches, and weighing 145 pounds of muscle and husk. He came at Kong from the dogs left. He would be only slightly shy of Tavern's attack timing.
Halabex- Grimreaper
A large brown wolf seemed to just materialize out of nothing infront of the two lowly lupines. Blues glaring up at the dog as the beast ran at him. Halabex stood 2'11" to his back and weighed 150 pounds, his shoulders hunched high as his head stayed low, front feet together while hinds were splayed for support. Without turning to the mother and pup he growled softly to them. " We are not doing this for you, he is in alliance with natures greatest enemy, and must be taken down."
Halabex's front legs soon parted and he lowered into his defence position, ready to leap at kong when the dog came close enough.
Tavern soon got close enough to the dog and she leaped at him. Just a second behind, Darmus watched to see where Kong would try to evade, if he did. If Kong continued forward, Darmus would attack there as well. Halabex only stood and waited for the dog to either be stopped, or to arrive in front of him.
Life's simple story
- Life sucks- The end
Kong
Specific breeding gave Kong a tremendous weight and height advantage over the present canids, but size was not always a decisive factor in battles; especially when your enemies outnumbered you as they did here. But a keen sight, atuned to movement, was a great asset to this highly specialized wolf-killer. A blur of motion on either side was enough for Kong to react, especially in the relative openess of the Dump sight. Not willing to get himself surrouned straight away by continuing forward, the king hound halted his rush and twirled to meet his first attacker fang-to-fang. It was his size here that held the advantage, at least for the moment keeping her fangs away from his body.
Unable to attack two places at once, this left him open to the second attacker, who hit his side as he made his turning motion. A loud, vicious snarl erupted from the hound, followed by a short volley of rumbling barks. Now Kong plunged to the side, tearing himself away from Tavern and Darmus as he streaked over the uncertain ground towards a high dome of trash... he was not retreating by any means; there was a definite method in his tactics.
The Assassins
United we §tand
Divided they ƒall
No where to hide
We'll distroy them all
From inside their house
To under their bed
We'll tear at each limb
And take off each head
A trophy it is
to hear them all cry
Slowly, Painfully
is the way they shall die
Don't cross our path
It'll be the end of the line
The last thing you'll see
Demon's eyes devine...........
Halabex saw Kong make a break for freedom and quickly dashed after the trash. Large brown digits dug into the littered ground as his massive bulk made its way to the dog. However his weight and height slowed him down.
Tavern quickly caught the dogs jaws before he could attack her, then felt him slip away. Watching as Halabex took after him. Her instincts told her to run, and that's what she did, for a little bit anyways. She stopped and growled at Darmus. " Follow them, and lead them back this way, I'll spring an attack." She was speaking to where only Darmus could hear her. If Halabex saw Darmus without Tavern, he would know there is a plan.
The white chow chow, dumbfounded at how the large creature got away, turned to listend to the Akita. He fidgeted through the instructions, but the words 'lead them back' and 'spring an attack' did seem to puncture through his racing and ill mind. He growled in agreement and took off after the king hound. White puffy furr flagging as he was able to catch up a little bit.
Halabex did notice only one set of paws following after him, he turned to catch a glimps of Darmus, but quickly turned his attention back to Kong. He knew there was a plan, and that Tavern had stayed behind. The brown wolf pushed himself to gain speed, just to intimidate the dog. Only feet away from the hounds back side, he tried to snap at the dogs hind legs.
Darmus, panting in his deranged fury, pushed himself to gain speed as well. what went on in this dogs mind was outragous. He was...'special'...
Tavern stayed behind and looked at the wolfess and pup. Growling menacingly, "Get out of here, or you may be entangled in our little battle." She only gave them warning, she didn't like seeing the innocent die. She winced as the sound of her brother screamed in her head, and she let out a vicious howl, signaling the others to get the hound to turn around.
..........So before we head out
The doors should be locked
For the time we walk by
Marks the time of onslaught
The fires will blaze
The people will run
Lives will be lost
It's all just for fun
Consider us Wrong
Consider us Right
Stay on the sidelines
Or join the fight
They brought terror to our lives
Killed us while we've slept
This is our little way
Of saying "Watch Your Step"
Kong
Kong put on more speed, casting himself down a tangled, steep-sloped mound of junk. Had this been a normal hill, the Hound would have gained speed for the moment; but as it was, there were too many uneven and unatural objects to foul his large feet. A sharp yelp escaped his scarred mug as a twisted piece of metal sliced through one of his paw pads and tripped him up. Stumbling and slowing his pace slightly, Kong didn't realize how close the others had gotten to him until he felt their fangs.
Halabex caught Kong on the upper part of his hind limb, tearing a deep gouge in the flesh that made the Hound yelp again, though his tone was rumblingly deep. Kong sprung far, clearing the bottom of the slope and hitting level ground again; well, as level as the trash-ridden ground could be. Then, without warning, the massive brute swung around, rearing on his hind limbs for an instant as he swung his front around, shoulders high and head low, throwing his shadow over his persuors. Hoping to have caught them off guard, Kong's powerful jaws were brought down, aiming precisely for Halabex's neck, just behind where it connected to the skull. His two front paws, were slammed down as well, trying to strike his enemy across the back or head and force him down with 240 some odd pounds of weight.
Kong didn't plan to stay and fight long. He knew if Tavern came his way, he'd have to try and break from the fight and flee again. But for this brief moment, he'd inflict what damage he could.
The Assassins
Halabex was use to running around junk and garbage. his paws were a little tougher, but were still getting sore on the way down the hill. Luckily he missed the twisted metal that tore into Kongs tender flesh. Then he felt his teeth dig into the dogs leg, a flash of wild rage and fury filled his mind and became more agressive.
Making it down the hill and hitting level land, the team regained their speed and stayed tagged onto the dogs hind end. Finally, what they were waiting for. When Kong flung around his teeth skimmed across Halabex's side neck and shoulder. Then his paws came down on his back and Halabex was thrown to the ground.
Darmus passed Kong and did his own U-turn, and came at Kong's back end again. Sharp death trap opened to try and fit the wound Halabex had cause in his own mouth. -Giddy up doggy- he thought to himself. Hoping to 'encourage' the dog to move in the direction that they had come from. Tavern was no where in sight, and the plan was to get the dog to think she was going to come at him a different way.
Halabex rolled over to get out of Kong's reach, then hopped back up and went or the dog's hind end as well. With both attacking from behind, hopefully the dog would move forth.
Kong
Kong made a snap at Halibex as he rolled away from his reach, then wheeled sharply once more, fury blazing in his dark eyes. Blood trickled down his fur where the two dogs had laid open his flesh, and it made Kong wince with the flaring pain, but he would deal with that later. Or, at least his master would.
Throwing his weight around, but with emense presicion and agility, the hound tried shouldering roughly into Darmus to send him to the ground. At the same time, he snapped once again at Halibex, this time trying to catch the other's mug in his own. He didn't like having the hill to his back, for an enemy could sweep down it very swiftly. But at the moment, he refrained from running, feeling very confident still.
The Assassins
Darmus didn't expect the shoulder hit and was knocked to the side, but not to the ground, he had caught himself before he fell. When Halabex saw the wolf turn back to Darmus, he knew the dog wasn't giving a chase just yet. His own teeth turned away as Kong had bitten at his muzzle, He turned his jaws and now aimed for the tender under belly of the hound.
After Darmus caught himself the deranged mongrel turned and sped back toward the brute. Vengeful look bestowed his eyes and he became as if he was more powerful. The Chow was now in one of his fits, his ill and poor mind had forgotten about the plan, and was now set on kill. A flash of red in his mind, he could see his family dieing, dieing at his own fangs, to give him power, and he would do the same to this dog, and what ever human came to help it. As Kong turned to bite Halabex, Darmus bit at the voulnerable part of the neck that he had left open. A warmth wrapped his body, the feeling of pain was gone and the strength of adrinaline had now started pumping. Halabex's rush would start soon after, but it had not been pushed to start yet.
Tavern was standing and waiting for the others to come back her way. She noticed that they had not started their journey back and she set forth. Keeping a steady slow pace toward the quariling group. Ears erect to listen for any movements toward her. She could still step aside and create an ambush. She just had to be patient, and that is what she was good at.
Kong
Kong was focused mainly on Darmus now, having picked up on something about this particular dog. Something a bit off, a bit strange about him. Snarling deeply, the king hound swung his head downward, defelecting Darmus's bite from the more vulnerable area of his wounded neck. Still, the chow's sudden aggression and action left him tasty enemy blood as his fangs found a patch of flesh further up on Kong's neck, more towards his shoulder area. Unhindered by the sudden pain at the moment, Kong focused his own bite for the side of Darmus's neck, trying to snap through the jugular vein in his monstorous jaws.
During this time, Kong's own large size gave his other enemy an advantage; his stomach was easier to reach since it was higher up from the ground. With a barking yowl, the king hound felt jaws sink into his gut, imedding into the thick layers of muscle that lay protectively over the organs. He went ahead with his attack on Darmus, but knew he'd have to forego this battle soon if he didn't gain a significant hit quickly. And he still didn't know of the ambusher that awaited him.
The Assassins
Darmus saw the dog comming at his throat, but he conciuosly didn't notice. Only did his own thrust to deepen his missed targe deflect the dogs attack from lethal. Kong's teeth scartched and caught the side of the chow's neck and fur. A small rose of blood began to bloom on his fur as the dogs cut into his neck. Bearly missing it's target but still deep enough to get the blood draining.
Halabex felt the tender belly begin to give in. Knowing the muscle wouldn't last long with his powerful jaws. With all his muscle he thrusted up to get deeper into the organ area. When he felt sure he had something he bit as hard, making a vice that no organ could slip through, and he yanked back as hard as he could. The least he could do is tear a chunk of flesh from the stomach.
Tavern got up to the top of a hill and saw the fight below, she quickly ducked and watched on croutching limbs. Now waiting for Kong to make his way to her. She could also now see if the others needed help. Darmus started to look like he would be needing help soon if Kong didn't retreat.
Kong
Kong snarled bitterly at his narrow miss, and would have quickly tried to recompensate for it if Halabex hadn't been on him so fiercely. Not wishing to be dissembowled, the King Hound forced himself to abandon this battle. He sent his final, savage snap to Halabex, trying to lay the dog's shoulder open with his long eyeteeth and distract him for a moment.
Having no time to dally around, the king hound surged forward after a violent thrashing of his body. Skin on the side of his neck and along his stomach were rent from his body, sending fresh new sources for blood to spew forth and stain his dark coat. Halabex indeed had reached the organs, and that would cost Kong's master a hefty vet bill and force the hound to take some time off from his wolf killing. The pain was agonizing, especially along his underside, but his breed was developed around durability and hardiness, among other things.
Running as fast as his wounded body could manage, Kong powered back up the slope, trying to fight off the dizziness that bloodloss brought. He didn't see or scent Tavern, and his course was leading him near her hiding spot. HIs eyes were focused forward, focused on the end of the dump that would lead him back to his master's home...
The Assassins
Halabex felt his shoulder open and he snarled in pain, but let the dog go with little chase. He knew Tavern was just beyond the hill and he slowly made after the hound. Front leg limping as he made his way after the dog. He could no longer run as fast as he planned, but it didn't hold him down very strong. He would just be a bit slower than the others.
While Halabex took it slow, Darmus did not remember the plan, and he went after the dog. Blood dripping from his neck as his heart began to race with adrenaline. When the natural drug wore off he would be in a lot of pain. Halabex called after the chow "Darmus!" however he did not intend on slowing the dog down, his voice was masked with the sign of retreat, but his intentions where to make the dog feel more comfortable, as if they had given up.
That was not the accual case. As the dog scaled the hill, Tavern was crouched on the other side just below sight and when she saw the tip of his head and ears, she pounced like a cat after stalking it's pray. Up she thrusted her sharp fangs into the gullet of the neck. As soon as she felt anything, even if it wasn't her target, she bit down wildly, Shaking her head side to side, hoping to spray his blood out like a garden hose sprays its water.
If her attack successfully hit, Darmus would be on the hound right after. he would try to grab one of the dogs hind limbs and would shaking it about as well, pulling back while Tavern pulled forward. Halabex saw this and picked up his pace. Even through agony he was determind for this kill. Jaws attempted the dogs other hind leg, then gave a loud snarl. And at that, all three pulled with all their might at the same time, hoping to pull the dog apart.
Kong & *Human*
Kong kept his ears focused back, listening to Darmus following behind. He half contemplated whirling around and slashing at the mutt before continuing his retreat, but decided against it. He was already in a world of hurt as it was. Just as he clear the top of the mound, a blur of motion from the side startled him. He reacted without fully knowing what this motion was at first. He jump haphazardly to the side just as Tavern brought her jaws down on his neck, though her aim was thrown off part way due to Kong's attempt at springing away. With a pained howl, the king hound took a second jump, throwing his massive frame away from his assailant. If he were any smaller than he was, he wouldn't have been to tear away from Tavern's hold. But being well over 200 pounds and wrapped in powerful muscles, the king hound somehow pulled through with his technique; if that's what you call.
A second, blood-spilled wound was laid open on the other side of his neck now, leaving a flap of skin hanging down, slowly being soaked by his own blood. As if that weren't enough, Tavern's attack had given Darmus time to catch up. Though no blood was drawn, the chow did get a good chunk of fur taken from Kong's flank.
A loud shot rang nearby, shattering the air with its deafening sound. A gun. Kong saw a man standing with the weapon a few hundered yards ahead. Not his master, but one of the many King Hound owners, who looked after one another's dogs. This was who Kong had been calling for from the beginning. Forcing his body to keep running, he made straight for the man. He was furious for letting the trio get an upper hand on him, and leaving Tavern without a mark! But he planned on getting revenge, some way or another.
The man lowered his rifle, levelling it towards Tavern and the others. He wouldn't shoot quite yet, since there was a chance of hitting Kong. But if they got any closer... it'd be a much easier shot for him.
The assassins
Tavern heard the noise of the gun. A twitch in her eye made her turn around and watch the man. Hairs raised and she growled demonically, the gun....
Halabex ran up behind Tavern and growled at her " Do not be drawn to mans weapon in hatred, it was an axe, not a gun, which killed your brother. Now hurry we must go." Halabex ran off, Darmus close behind him, then the two split up.
Tavern stood stalk still, watching the human with deep burning hatred. A loathing that would never go away. They, the humans, had killed her whole family. She remained alive because she decided to fight back. " Don't close your eyes dog, You'll be dead before you can get your proper rest." She snarled and turned, darting away down the hill and out of sight of the human.
