Frantic
Fennec fox trotted into the land, her nose low to the ground. She was hunting for left-overs the humans might have. Never really being in town, she didn't knwo what the human stench was. Though she knew it might be the most noticable one. Her fawn colored feet took her near a shack. She froze and watched it. wondering what was in it. Though her instincts told her to stay clear.
*Crows & Food*
It was to Frantic's luck that the owner of the dump was not about at the time. Although... that didn't mean she was safe from danger.
The scent of some sort of meat came from a few different locations. Inside a strange wire-like contraption was a small container of cat food... There was a similar set up on the other side of the shack.
Other than that, there were meager pickings at this time. A few bits of frozen bread, rotten vegetables, and bones that were all put picked clean.
Frantic
Fawn tinted vixen trotted up to the trap. Though she didn't enter it, She was on the outside. and pawing through the wire. Trying to bring it close to the side. Her large ears held back from the cold, trying to keep them against her warm fur. She was use to the warmer days and she just ran across this place. She tried once again to bring the food to her. hoping to get a munchie.
*Food*
Her slender paws were just slim enough to fit through the bars and pull the food closer. As she did so, a loud 'SNAP' sounded and the trap jumped a bit as the door slammed.
With a bit of manuvering, the food can be brought within reach of Frantic's slender muzzle.
Frantic
She brought the food to her and tipped the can to her, flipping the can so that some of the meat would hit the bars. She licked it to get it out of the bars. Her tail low to the ground and her attention only on the food. Hoping she could get all of it.
*Dogs*
The food fell into Frantic's reach. The can was now propped on its side, allowing the fennec fox to reach the last morsels of the meat with her tongue. But as she fed, danger drew near...
"What's that? Oh, no, it's no cat... those ears! Look at them!" A voice droned out. Another came in reply.
"Fox? Catch that smell? Funny looking one, I'd say."
"Maybe a cross between a fox and a cat. It's so small, but those ears..."
There were three dogs approaching, slightly spread out from each other. They were of uncertain breeds, average size, shaggy coats and rough muzzles. One was slightly larger than the others and had a ruddish hue to his otherwise brown coat. The other two were mixes between brownish and black. They all appeared to be sibling males.
"Well, what do we have here?" The largest spoke out to Frantic, drawing his lips back into a grin. They had never seen or heard of such a fox.
Frantic
The vix jumped after her meal, the food decorating the sides of her lips. Fangs appearing as she began to growl at the larger beasts. Hind limbs drawing her back, her tail lifted and bushed lightly, as well as the hair on her back. Her high pitched vocals piercing the air as if she were a little human girl.
Who are you, what do you want? Go away
Her growling was moreless cute then intimidating.
*Dogs*
The larger of the three laughed out right, "Go away? Now, that's not very nice." but his voice certainly didn't sound hurt. It sounded amused and sinister. Giving a glance to both dogs beside him, they fanned out more and began to advance on the fennec fox, slowly trying to corner her against the side of the shack.
Another spoke out now, "Just what are you? Some kind of cat? A little dog?"
Frantic
Sandy fea backed into the shack, snarls raising. Her claws diggin and pushing her harder against the facility. Her portal parted slightly, growls becoming louder.
I'm a fox! what does it look like, are you blind!?
Upper lips curled to the one that came the closest. close to fearing for her life.
*Dogs*
The leader narrowed his eyes and scoffed, "You hardly look like a fox, little missy." His lips curled back, revealing cruel, yellowing fangs. With a glance to his comrads, the leader suddenly sprung at the fennec fox, jaws gaping and read to snap shut on her smaller body.
The other two sprung at her as well, eaching trying for their own hold on the little vixen, wanting to tear her to shreds for the mercilous sport of it.
Frantic
Without thinking, when the others jumped at her, she took her change and sprung under the highest jumper. Running as fast as she could to get away from the attacks. Her tiny little body gave advantage in speed, her ears held tight to her body, and her tail tucked cowardly between her tail. Hopping she could escape their teeth and live to see another day.
*Dogs*
The wheeled about, snapping and barking eagerly as they pursued their prey. But Frantic was too fast for them. She began to pull away from the three dogs, even as they ran at their fullest speed.
Frantic
Quickly she sped out of their reach and into another land. Hoping they wouldn't be able to follow. She had left only her scent behind.
