Jake listened to what Kahota said silently.He nodded his head to himself when the answer was given.He turned his head when he saw Starlight come out of the den.What she said made him prick his ears.He watched as Kahota ran off telling him and Blackheart to watch the den.

Blackheart listened when Kahota told them what they wanted to know.So she was a member now.Turning his head when he heard something he saw Starlight come out of the den.What she said made his spine shiver.The pup Jenny was in trouble.He got up to follow when Kahota told him to stay here and help Jake protect the den.He nodded his head and sat back down.He hoped the pup was alright.

A low, haunting howl danced across hte wind to tickle the ears of the alert tigers. Kahota was calling them to meet someone new.

Jake got up and ran toward the howl he had heard.He knew that someone new had joined the pack and was curious who it was.

Blackheart followed along more slowly.He was curious,but he didn't show it.He soon lost sight of the running Jake,but he followed closely by scent.
