Kilandra

Four furred paws swished through the tall grass and onto the soft sand, carring the lithe figure of a female wolf. Her fur blended well into the night, making her appear to be just another shadow. Her dusty silver fur was splashed with velvet black, and her left ear, tail and back paw ended with a moon white tip. The only thing that gave her away in the dark where her eyes, which were a peculiar sea green.

Her nose to the ground, she easily found the pack land border, where the tree line and beach blended together. The almost full moon shone over the waters, making a pearlesent reflection in the gentle waters. The sand was soothing benieth her paws and the soft breeze was warm on this cold night. After giving her surroundings a thorough inspection she sat back apon her haunches, and throwing back her head, she let loose an eerie howl, calling to Alpha within his borders. She watched the moon above while she waited, nearly full in the star studded sky. A few black cloudes trailed across it, reminding her fondly of the color of her own fur.

Kahota

His auds pricked forward as an eerie howl echoed across the terra, blending with the lapping of the wave as they washed on shore. He was sprawled out on his now favorite rock, soaking up the last of the days heat. His nails clinked on the rough surface as he rose and streched, arching his tail over his back. He trotted off of the rock, leaving behind the comforting warmth of the stones in search of the wolf that howled to him.

He didn't have to travel far down the white sandy beaches to find the source. There, just ahead was a shadowy figure of a wolf sitting and watching the clouds go by. Her scent was definatly femminine, and she wasn't the first she-wolf to join his lands. He was glad that only females had come to his land so far. It would make it eaiser to find a mate with out other...distractions.

He padded closer, and by the way he held himself, their would be no confusion as to who lead this small pack. Her coloring was unusual, but not unattractive. He approached slowly, giving her time to notice him before he spoke.

"Hello huntress, I am Kahota, Alpha male of this pack. What is your name? Are you seeking a home here? If you are, you are welcome to stay. These lands are yours to roam and hunt as you please."

He gave a small bow to her.

Kilandra

HEr head rose slowly as he approached, reluctant to stop watching the beautiful sight of the ocean. Something she had only seen as a small pup. She rose, tail and ears downcast in submission. Her eyes met his only briefly, which she soon regretted when she remembered their effect on other wolves. She knew they would probably make him uneasy, and he would tell her to leave. So she gave a deep bow, hoping that if she did, he would not send her away. She spoke quickly to distract him.

"Hello, my name is Kilandra. I seek acceptance, and maybe even a home here. I hope that one day, if fate smiles on this strange wolf, maybe even a family. But I know better that to count on hopes and dreams."

She clamped her jaw shut, knowing that she was rambling again. She lowered herself even further, trying to hide her embarassment.

Kahota

He was startled when she looked up at him with those unusual green eyes. They gave him a strange feeling, something he had never felt looking into another's eyes before. Was it fear? No. He had felt fear before, and that was not the feeling that shivered its way down his spine. No, but it had something akin to fear buried there. But was it her fear of him? Maybe, but he wasn't sure. The spell was broken when she looked down, then began to speak. He shook himself mentaly, as if he could get rid of it. It faded a bit, but it still hovered there in the back of his mind.

"Hello Kilandra and welcome You seek a home and exceptance, you have found it here. I wish you luck with finding a mate and raising pups of your own. The land here is large and the game fat and plentiful. Enjoy yourself Kilandra and seek out new frindships here."

He streched his legs slowly, his tail arching across his back. He gave her a warm smile before turning and trotting away.

Kilandra

She rose from her bow after he spoke and before he could get out of site, she called to him.

"Thank you, Kahota."

Kahota

He heard her voice float back to him on the wind, and couldn't hide the smile that tugged at the corners of his lips. No one had ever thanked him for letting them join. It warmed his heart a little that this unusual wolf would remember to. He still felt strange when he looked into her eyes, but he had a feeling that this would be a wolf worth getting to know. He picked up his pace until he had reached the otherside of the beach.
