Kahota

The sand gave way benieth large paws, the water from the sea occasionally lapping it away from benieth. The waves had a bitter chill, but it did not phase him, his mind was focased else where. Ears were perked forward, nose moved between air and sand, searching for a scent, a trace of life, but no other wolf had tred here in quiet some time. He could hardly believe that such a beautiful land would be abandoned, deserted of all wolf life. He would change that. He would seek out a mate and raise a pack in these gentle lands. He reached the end of the beach, leaving behind the towering cliffs, in search of this lands borders. He reached a series of low hills, and found a stream that wound down to the cliffs and into the sea. He set off along the stream, following it to it's source. He reached the rugged mountains and deep lake, and was completely amased by the size of his new lands. As he ran his border, he marked trees as he passed. This was paradise. The beautiful ocean and the vast forset. What wolf wouldn't feel at home. He tracked a rabbit that he had scented several times along the way, and caught up to it at the edge of the lake. Pinned away from his burrow, the creature was easily caught, and in the shade of a great pine he nestled onto the soft ground and ate his meal in peace.
