*Jeep*

From the forest came a rumble and the smell of car exhaust. A green jeep drove slowly through the wood, two humans inside both eagerly looking outside of their windows.

Azul

the distant rumble caught Azul's attention as he entered the lands again after hunting to no gain. the oddly painted brute growled and howled to his mate and the other's in the lands to stay hidden he looked about and soon saw the jeep almost hitting him he jumped out of the way his blue and amber star looking at the human's who looked back at him.

*jeep*

The humans inside instantly stopped their vehicle the moment the wolf was seen. The human closest pulled out a gun while the other rolled down the window. This took only a matter of second, and another second later the dart was fired, aimed for the thigh of the wolf.

Azul

Azul wasn't stupid human's ment things like guns and weapons and such. His two toned gaze watched the human roll the window down as the barrel of the gun slipped through Azul didn't think he just reacted quickly he had only a second as he shoved off with hind legs lunging under the jeep he looked back to were he had come and staggered suddenly. The dart and nicked his tail so it didn't knock him out instead it made him dizzy he tried to focus as hard as he could and held his body low to the ground and still blinking his eyes tighly to the spinning ground. He howled gain this time for help he just prayed Moon Spirit didn't show up he couldn't go on without her.

*Jeep*

One of the humans leapt from the jeep, having seen the wolf dart under. This was a bad situation as they could not move the jeep for a better shot and being outside of the jeep meant a more likly chance of more wolves finding them. So with anouther bullet the human took a shot at the hip, hoping that this time the dart would hit perfectly and allow them to return back to the center where even as they spoke, an alarm was being sent up.

Kali

Kali had come back to Moon Spirit's pack. She had not seen Karai for awhile and spoke with Ageni recently. She had said Karai hadn't shown up at the pack and Kali hadto speak with her. Her shattered heart pounded heavily into her chest. She heard a blow of a gun and a jeep ahead as she was wandering to the pack's territory. She froze seeing humans and Azul being attacked. They had done alot for her as a pup although she wanted nothing to do with them she felt terrible watching this. She would always think she'd love to see Azul get attacked, but she did not. She watched, and watched. She lingered closer and gave out a bark as she could tell Azul was struck. Her black coat blened with her surroundings although she stood in the open. She would hope to destract the humans or at lest help him. After all if she helped him, he would help her find Karai which is all she really wanted at the moment.

*Jeep*

The bark spooked the human, although the dart had already been fired, and in this state Azul would have trouble doing much, even if the shot didn't quite hit the correct target. The human still in the jeep opened his window, taking a shot at the dark wolf. He could see a faint outline, however the shadows made this shot one literally in the dark. If it hit the thigh then great, if not then they would see.

Karai

The sweet, soft silver mother was known throughout the wolven lands for her kindness and benevolence, but now... oh now the humans had done something very dangerous. They had threatened family. She had come running to Azul's howl, knowing his voice as she knew her own. Moon Spirit needed Azul. He was all she had left.

Tears she couldn't feel raced down her face as she silently leapt at the man peering under the car at Azul, aiming for the back of his neck. He would PAY for trying to take Azul.

Azul

the dart hit the mark on his thigh he hadn't the energy to move as he collasped his saw his love he whimpered out her praying that when he opened his eyes he would see her and they humans were gone he went limp he heard Kali's call and prayed all was well.

Kali

Kali smiled to see Karai helping Azul, somehting she had not done in so long. Then why was she caring for those two? Perhaps only becuase they cared for her. The few wolves she actualy enjoys seeing as for the others she would love nothing more then to have their throat between her narrow black jaws. She payed no attention to the humans thinking they could not see her in the dark. She felt something on her lower thigh. It was close to her leg, but still a direct hit as she did not move when it was being fired therefore hitting her. She yelped with panic and lunged forward as if going crazy. She stood facing the humans valiantly. Her lips pulled back baring the tips of her ivory canines to a snarl that glowed against the darkness of her coat. Her tail flickered behind her in a threatening manner for them to stay away or die. She started to feel dizzy then took off running as she was a slender wolf she was fast, but the ground starting spinning and her legs grew heavy. She tripped falling over with a mornful yelp that peirced into the skies. Everything started going numb and she tried to pull herself up. She could not. She bared her ivory canines which was her last mnovement hoping to scare the humans away with her dark and fatal personality.

*Jeep*

The man inside the jeep saw the wolf oming for his freiend, and he yalled, although it may have been too late. As he screamed, her fumbled to put yet another dart into the gun, finally getting it just as he saw the wolf go for his friends neck. He took aim as the wolf leapt, again shooting and aiming for the thigh. This was begining to get out of hand. They had expected one wolf, but now had two, possibly three. But with a chance of one of the men dieing, it might not do much for the research should the government get ahold of this.

The man on the ground looked up when he heard the yell, but his motion did nothing to help himself, but instead most likely aided the wolf more then himself. Karai did get her jaws on his nape, but being a raher stong man from workign with animals, his neck muscles made it difficult for him to fall so easily. When he felt the fangs his arms went for his neck, completly leaving the gun behind for a more practical fist which he tried to aim for the nose.

The man inside the truck loaded yet another dart, hoping the other made contact but not looking to find out. Inside the vehicle he was making a radio call to the center where he called for more back uup. It wouldn't be too long, but it would still be enough time for his friend to meet death if the wolf didn't let go.

Karai

Karai dug ferociously into the back of the man's neck, growling and snarling in an aggressive way that was completely unlike her. She was hanging on the man's back in such a way that his own flailing caused his partner to miss, but if the backup came she might be in trouble. She would do as much damage as possible before going down.

*Jeep*

The man continued to try and hit the nose of the wolf, trying despratly to free himself. His neck muscles were tearing, and the pain was searing. He had to do something, so with his other hand which could not reach the nose, he reached for one of the spare darts,, bringing it back and trying to swing it awound to it at least hit the skin and ripped some. That much sedative would not knock Karai out, but it would do something for the eyes and such.

The human in the jeep took yet another shot, again aiming for the thigh. The last one had missed, this one could not! He had to try to save him at least until the backup arrived, and it seemed as though they were taking forever.

Karai

Karai whimpered as a fist connected with her nose, but continued to maul the man's neck. It was the second fired dart that stopped her, the sheer force of it flinging her small body down as the second scraped unforgivingly along her side, slicing her open from hocks to shoulders.

A yelp escaped her as her star-brushed bod fell to earth, whimpering and wriggling forward to Azul's side, yanking the dart from his flesh with her teeth. That done, she tried to rise to go to Kali, to help her, but her legs gave way. The combination of the two sedatives had worked quickly, and she remained crumpled next to the odd-eyed male as darkness consumed her vision.

*Jeeps*

The inside the jeep sighed, seeing the wolf fall. However, he knew the animal wouold need treated the quickest, the amount of sedative so great. Lucky for him, backup had arrived, meaning his severly injured partner could be helped, and the wolves could be captured quickly.

The injured man fell forward as the wolf released, his breathing labored from the surprise of being attacked, and the blood lose. He would live anouther day, but he would be off this job for some time.

The second jeep pulled up, the two men inside jumping out and quickly grabbing the fallen forms of Karai, and then slidding beneath the jeep to get Azul. They were quick at this, and with the man from the last jeep still safe, he kept a look out, dart gun in hand the whole time.

Once those two wolves were safly in place in the back of the jeep, the injured man was lifted back inot the first jeep, where he would be transported to a medical facility in a short time. It was then the first man got out of the jeep, speaking to the other two about Karai's condition, and about the other wolf which had yet to be placed into the jeep. They nodded to one anouther, the two in the second jeep staying there and keeping watch while the man walked over and lifted Kali into the back of his own jeep. And then he went back into his vehicle, giving a thumbs up before the two sped away. Three news wolves for the center, which soon would be changing in very drastic ways.
